"Earlier today, Stacy Pine and Caterina Mikkola of the Conduits Rights League made statements regarding the recent terrorist attacks carried out by the extremist group Humans First. Ms. Pine and Ms. Mikkola both condoned the groups stating that the attacks would only strengthen their desire to keep peace between Conduits and Humans and further develop relations with State Governors to ensure that laws regarding Conduits are fair for everyone. Stay tuned for more on this later."

'It is so weird seeing you in a suit.' Delsin shouted over to Caterina who was busy pottering around in the kitchen.

'Ha! Think how I felt in the damn thing I'm not really comfortable in suits!' Caterina shouted back to Delsin as she finished loading up the dishwasher after dinner that evening. She wandered over to the couch where Delsin had made himself comfy and parked herself down next to him.

'This is more me.' Said Caterina, tugging on an oversized grey t-shirt she was wearing that had bleach stains and various holes in it.

'Well you could wear a potato sack and I'd still think you'd look great.' Delsin smiled. Caterina just laughed at him.

'Oh you are such a creep!'

A little while later, Caterina made Delsin change channels on the TV as she didn't really want to watch herself reciting the strange little speech she had concocted for the press conference she had been at most of the day. Stacy did most of the talking but Caterina had to do her part, what with being a Conduit an all and the press conference had been set up by the CRL. She was half expecting the phone to start ringing with some of the people of the tribe shrieking "I just saw you on TV" at her; like what happened when the first CRL commercial Delsin and Caterina did aired. The phone was practically off the hook for at least forty minutes after the commercial had been on.

'Are they still showing that commercial we did?' Caterina asked Delsin.

'Oh yeah.' He nodded. 'Just the shorter one though.'

'Oh good.'

'You're really not a fan of seeing yourself on screen are you Cat?'

'Nope. The filming is fun and everything I just, don't like seeing myself.' Caterina shook her head.

'Yeah that shoot was fun though.' Delsin smiled.

'Ah c'mon we didn't do much really. They just filmed us walking round Seattle doing a bit of shopping and getting lunch.'

'True but, it made a point didn't it?'

'I suppose so.'

Later on that evening after watching a bit more television, Delsin noticed that Caterina had gone quiet. He looked at the clock on his phone to check the time; nearly quarter past nine at night and Caterina was curled up fast asleep next to him on the sofa. She had been dozing off earlier and earlier for the past week or so as she hadn't been getting much sleep at night. Cat had even woken Delsin up on a few occasions due to her restlessness, but he always found it easy to get back to sleep. Sometimes, Caterina would have ridiculously long lie-ins or Delsin would get up in a morning and find her sat at the kitchen table propping her head up with a huge mug of coffee in front of her. She was exhausted.

Delsin decided to put Caterina in bed. He gently hooked his arms underneath her and lifted her up, carrying her carefully up the stairs and in to their bedroom. Caterina had a habit of turning the covers down on their bed so Delsin just laid her down on her side and drew the covers back over Cat. She didn't wake at all. Delsin left her in their room with the door still open, letting the dim light from the upstairs hallway guide him back downstairs and in to the studio. He shuffled over to his desk and turned on the lamp as he rummaged around in his jeans pockets; bringing out a small set of keys and a huge wad of cash. Delsin opened one of the drawers in his desk and took out a small lockable money tin which he opened with keys. He had been stashing money for a while now and after adding the wad of around five hundred dollars he had in his hand to the cash that was already in the tin; it brought the total to just over eight thousand dollars.

Delsin carefully locked the tin up and put it back in his desk drawer. He opened another drawer just to check that his passport and Caterina's passport were still there. Happy knowing that they were safe and Caterina hadn't moved them or anything, Delsin shut the drawer, turned off the lamp and made his way back in to the living room where he turned everything off before wandering back upstairs. Stripping down to his underwear and giving his teeth a quick brush meant he was ready for bed.

Caterina was still fast asleep, though now she had rolled on to her side in to the middle of the bed. Delsin climbed in to bed beside Caterina who just seemed to know he was there; snaking her arm across his stomach and tangling her leg up in his. Delsin gasped as Caterina was absolutely freezing like always, the coldness of her skin against his was shocking. It took him a little while to get used to it but eventually he snuggled in to her.

The morning after, Delsin was pretty surprised that Caterina had slept right the way through the night. In fact, she even slept a little longer than what he did which wasn't normal. Usually she would be up before Delsin or they would get up around the same time. Deciding to be the lovely boyfriend he was; Delsin quickly got out of bed and made his way downstairs in to the kitchen to make breakfast. He dug around in one of the kitchen drawers to find Caterina's recipe book which she barely used as she had most of what was in there committed to memory. Delsin however didn't cook that often, so he had to look up the recipe for waffle batter.

Delsin measured out all the ingredients and began to whisk everything up in a large bowl. Suddenly he dropped the whisk. It had just dawned on him that he was stood in his kitchen, making waffle batter.

Ever since they got back from Seattle, scrapping with Augustine and the D.U.P. all that time ago; Delsin and Caterina and settled in to a pretty safe, normal life. Both of them had more powers than you could shake a stick at but these days they barely used them; unless they counted Caterina making ice cubes for their drinks and Delsin turning the television on whenever the remote had gone missing. Yes everything was very much safe and normal. It wasn't for Delsin though and he was fairly sure it wasn't for Cat either. He himself was rebellious and Caterina had her fair share of trouble too.

Delsin brought himself back to reality, he had waffles to make. He knew Catarina would come flying downstairs as soon as the smell of the waffles cooking drifted up there. They were one of her favourites.
