Week 1, Day 4:

Chapter 15: Shopping Kills Izo:

"Let us go REI!" shrieked Izo as Rei pulled him and Joshua along, but clearly she was ignoring them because Joshua could hear her laughing to herself.

Joshua twisted his head so he could look at Izo when he spoke in amusement "Ultimately, I think this is clearly called kidnapping. Isn't this against the law?" Inwardly he laughed because he knew they were in the UG, and the laws differed here than the RG.

But his neck ached and he knew it would be sore later; also he could barely breathe again.

And of the four of them, Ayumu and Rei seemed to have no problem.

"Stop your wining you twits." shrewdly demanded Rei as she tugged harder, the two players gasped as more air got caught off when Rei put in "We are already halfway there."

"That good." remarked Ayumu in his emotionless tone as he quickened his pace to walk beside Rei. The ashen blond looked at Ayumu anxiously and whispered in a choke "Ayumu, you got to tell Rei to let go of us!" when Ayumu did not respond he whispered harsher and louder "I can barely breathe! Please."

The younger blond hesitated for awhile. Finally he looked at Rei before leaning in, at once Rei's grip loosened but she did not let go.

Joshua narrowed his eyes as he growled quietly "Ayumu, I said let go, not loosen." Ayumu twisted his head to look at him, "Did what you said…" that dull voice made Joshua wince only to yelp from pain.

His neck now felt worse than before, it stung.

Izo suddenly flicked his shoulder; he looked at the dark blue haired teen as he whispered dolefully "Mate, I hate it when Rei takes me shopping… She is so ignorant of how I abhor it!"

"Hehehe, you seem more timorous essentially," affirmed Joshua jokingly as he saw Izo scowl at him.

The older boy tried to swipe at Joshua but he stopped with a snarl, "I'm not timorous! Feh fella! I just don't enjoy being in a place that I have no interest whatsoever." as he said this, a shudder suddenly coursed through him. Joshua smirked 'Oh? You don't act like it?'

Suddenly Rei stopped and bopped them both on the head with her clipboard at least ten times, "Geez! How can you two live?" Joshua kept on silently yelping 'ow' as he countered softly "Hmm… Let's see… We are, d-e-a-d."

"That's not what I meant twits!" another bop to the head made Joshua narrow his lavender eyes at the ashen haired lady, "What I mean is that everyday life involves shopping: clothes, food, furniture, electronics, Et Cetera!" Rei looked at Izo and bopped him with her clipboard.

"Hey!" coldly said Izo rubbed his head softly, "What did I earn that for mate?!"

Rei shrugged carelessly as she replied, "For being my partner and friend."

After a few more minutes of bickering banters and squalls, they arrived at the 104 building.

Joshua felt as though he could stare at it in dismay all day long! But maybe Izo would get first place in that because he was starting to hum fretfully.

Rei tugged on her crimson velvet jacket with a clear look of cunning "Aw, c'mon Izo. It's for the mission! Stop being a tyke."

Izo coldly looked away and muttered "How would you feel to be dragged back to the place you abhor, I do not adore what you torture me so." with a sigh he started to edge away.

But Rei had snuck up behind him again and grabbed him from under his arms, "Uh no… You are going in whether you are kil- err… erased or hindered." she cocked her head to one side and looked at Joshua "And that goes the same for you and Blindy!"

"Do not call him Blindy!" shouted Joshua before he angrily stalked by Ayumu and clutched his arm; Ayumu did nothing as Joshua pulled him towards the building that made him confused only for a second.

Ayumu hated being pulled into a building not of free will.

Many times Ayumu bickered and squalled over just being led into a place he hated, mostly that meant Sanae's café.

But this time Ayumu allowed him to drag him around.

As soon as they got in Joshua saw that the 104 building actually looked pretty mellow and cool on the inside. There were dull blue painted walls that had many racks of clothing and accessories that caught his eye.

Simply he shook his head reminding himself that this was a waste of time.

A scream made him and Ayumu turn.

Joshua almost laughed so hard that his rips started to hurt; Izo had a death grip on the doorframe as Rei tried to push him in. The look on his face made him laugh louder.

"No!" yelped Izo as he clung to the doorframe, Rei had her hands on his chest as she pushed harder when he protested "I shall not set foot in this forsaken place! REI!"

Rei had managed to free one of his hands by now and she grasped it firmly, she seemed very determined to bring in the terrified boy that she didn't notice any of the RG citizens watching half amused and half confused.

"So much fear." noted Ayumu as he watched with Joshua who was close to dying from laughter, tears rolled down Joshua's face as he started to laugh quieter "That's very true Ayumu, I knew he was scared. But this is not what I expected."

Only in one minute the store's customer's and staff were in a crowd watching the pact.

After many long attempts, Rei pulled Izo to Ayumu and Joshua who was half unconscious. By now Joshua recovered from the laughing fit and was wiping his tears off his face with a weak giggle.

"With everyone here now…" started Rei as she tried to make Izo standing steady, "We can finally start shopping!"

"Kill me now…" moaned Izo as he tried to escape.

Joshua shook his head before letting his fingers stroke through his scraggly hair "So you want to be erased. We can deal with that if we go into a Noise battle and let them do their glee."

Suddenly Joshua felt so cold that he shivered madly, he noticed that Rei's teeth was chattering too. Izo's maroon eyes hardened and coldly leered at all of them "Say one more word and you'll be numb to the very bone."

"F-F-F-Fine!" clattered Rei as she tried to keep herself warm.

"Why must all fight," Ayumu's sudden comment made everyone turn to the youngest with curiosity, he looked up slightly showing no sign of frown nor smile as he continued "Mission is running short and all of us need to end quick."

Izo's cold crisp air of unknown origin slowly dissolved away as Joshua thought 'If only Rei was smart enough to think of that. Good thinking Ayumu.'

"Ta."

Joshua flinched, for a second he thought he heard his half brother's voice.

Rei nodded to Ayumu before she turned around, she kept on wildly turning her head while pacing the aisles of clothing racks.

He watched her until he asked "Uh… What exactly are you doing?"

"I'm looking for the brands!" called Rei as she was halfway between dull clothing and vibrant clothing. Suddenly she froze before she screamed loudly "Stab me! They must have moved the brands somewhere else in the store."

She ran back before she looked towards some nearby workers "Hey! I request help!" None of the staff of the store looked at them, and Joshua noticed that Rei was tapping her foot in fury. After a few more seconds Rei pointed at a woman who looked like she worked at the building "Hey! Come over here!"

The woman wavered for a second looking dazed before she came over.

"H-H-How can I-I help you?" asked the woman nervously while her eye twitched.

"We need to be escorted to the Mus Rattus and the Wild Boar brands," replied Rei quickly as she looked at her palm, "we're in a big hurry!"

The worker nodded before she gestured for them to follow.

They all started to follow the woman but halted. Izo started to make the fretful humming again and he was on the ground rocking back and forth while hugging his knees.

"Is your friend okay?" asked the woman gently as they huddled around the cool dressed boy, Rei knelt down and whispered something.

Joshua wondered what was wrong with Izo. Only one way to find out, and Joshua hated the option. With a sigh Joshua turned to his younger brother and asked, "Can you read his mind, just find out if he is suffering too much?"

Ayumu did a nod before he closed his pewter eyes. In at least twenty seconds he reopened them "He has shop phobia."

'That's nice to know.' privately thought Joshua as he watched the shop phobia boy. Just watching him acting like that made him feel like it could be Ayumu, what if this happened to Ayumu one day. The thought made his stomach churn.

"Let go of me!" Right away Joshua came back to the current situation; Rei held onto Izo's legs, and was starting to drag him along. The worker seemed to be perplexed by this but she led them far into the store.

After they got to the location, Rei ran to the nearest clothing rack and tore off anything.

Something soft hit his face; Joshua took it off and saw it was a black shirt that had large words on it. Most likely a Wild Boar brand shirt. Before he could read it more clothing was flung at his face that fell off onto the shirt.

Then he felt force behind him from Rei "Get the clothing on! We have 43 minutes left!" He heard Izo let out a cry of dismay as Rei began to usher him by force into another change room "Wait! Don't make me-"

Joshua sighed and went into the change room.

First he laid out the clothing, folded neatly before he got changed.

He was disappointed that the clothing clashed in many ways that no words could describe it.

'This is why I don't like shopping…' Joshua smirked in amusement before continuing to get changed.

Joshua finished putting on the lavender bandana that matched his eyes while his black shirt and camouflage pants he wore were loosely on his body, he also had a gold pendant that he didn't want to read the words.

As he went out of the change room, Ayumu was the first person he met.

Ayumu wore a carroty turtleneck with chinos; on his head he had a dark brown cap that had a 'M' on it that was too big for him to wear, and a scarf that was a creamy brown. Plus he wore sandals. Sandals! The thing Ayumu hated.

But it didn't matter to Joshua, Ayumu looked cute in it.

"How do we look?" Ayumu was picking at his turtleneck absently.

"We both look pretty uncool," replied Joshua softly as he adjusted the cap so it only slanted forward less, "Rei must have a poor sense of fashion."

The youngest blond nodded while he slowly looked up at him, "Sense of… fashion…" he blinked before he put in dully "A sense of fashion… What is-"

"Girls have this talent," said Joshua as he looked around for Izo and Rei, "Don't know why though, they must have powers over clothing."

Suddenly Joshua heard Izo yell "Is Rei out there?"

They turned around and Ayumu went over to the change room door, he calmly replied with his head resting on the door "Nix. Absent."

Joshua had to yank Ayumu back to save him from the door opening too quickly, Izo came out cautiously wearing a toque and emerald hoodie with cargo pants. His face was cherry when he blushed hard "Once this mission is done, we burn these vulgar abominations!"

"Hehehe…" giggled Joshua as he smiled at the flustered boy, "Why?"

"Because we need to!" spat Izo coldly as he crossed his arms and looked away, he began to hum again "This deed feeds through."

"But look decent." said Ayumu as he sightlessly watched the older teens, he put his index fingers on his temples as he added, "Do mission with, pith of the timer."

"Seriously," said Izo coldly in a mutter for Joshua to hear, "Your brother is so bizarre just like I said yesterday."

"Shut up." grumbled Joshua as they looked around for Rei.

After looking around the store, they didn't find Rei at all. It was frustrating that she randomly gave them clothes then flew the coop. And also Izo wouldn't stop humming.

"Shopping is the killer of all," growled Izo as he leaned against a clothing rack, "It kills me so much that I have-"

"-Shop phobia." finished Joshua and Ayumu at the same time.

The maroon eyed boy shifted a bit nervously "You two saying that at the same time creeps me out. Without me telling you?! And in a store!" again he hummed. Joshua shook his head before he went over to the icy boy and shook him the same way he did with Ayumu "Stop humming! You cannot simply calm down by doing that."

Izo narrowed his eyes before he shoved Joshua to the ground, "I'm trying to calm down fella." Joshua was surprised that Izo had this much strength despite how he looked.

He opened his mouth to speak when a flash and click came from the corner of his eye.

Rei was standing with her cell phone out. She wore a pale pink tank top with skinny jeans with a scarf and pendant "My, my! Fighting already?"

"Go away Rei… You owe me more string." growled Izo as he started to walk past her, his partner watched him go while shaking her head sighing "Always so cold. You could say he's a loner, and I do think he is…" With a flick at her bangs she grinned toothily "So how do you like the clothes? Sorry if I just… threw them."

"Not sure." replied Ayumu calmly as his cap slowly started to fall off. Of course Joshua knew that his brother didn't know what they looked like anyway.

Joshua started to get up before he gasped in pain; he quickly put his hand on his shoulder with the clear gauze on it. He was so confused to why it still hurt. After a few seconds he stood up and looked at Rei and Ayumu again "I think Rei you took more time to plan out yours."

Rei touched the side of her temple and giggled "Yes Aleck! I did. I don't want to look stupid in contradictory clothes," a glint flashed into her bright brown eyes as she put in astutely "who'd do that?"

'You did for us!' Joshua blinked at the lanky lady while he mused, "That's very true Rei."

A jingle from Joshua's not mint conditioned phone sounded that made Joshua flinch, Joshua's sounded like xylophone on the high note D with two extra notes; the high B then high C.

Joshua took out his phone and saw a picture of him on the ground with Izo looking down at them while Ayumu was close by. This must have been the photo Rei took a second ago. But queerly Joshua thought it was funny so he giggled.

"What about Blindy?" Joshua gave a scowl to Rei as she looked at the younger brother almost innocently, "Does he have a phone too? I could send him the photo."

"Sure do." Ayumu came over as the cap fell into his hands; his pewter eyes blankly darted to Rei as he added, "Josh has it this whole time."

A second later Ayumu's phone sounded, the jingle of his phone sounded like a tambourine with two extra notes at the end that sounded like bells.

Right away Joshua took out Ayumu's phone that was dull green and white.

Joshua still felt a bit annoyed how his father both got him and Ayumu phones, when he knew Ayumu was blind. His father always never really paid attention to Ayumu, his father always had lived with Joshua and his mother while Ayumu's mother and him lived alone. Also Ayumu's mom was blind like Ayumu and psychic, she actually was the best fortuneteller in Shibuya.

He cast the recollection away sadly; he was now the only person to take care of his brother.

But there also was Sanae.

Sanae became a friend of his dad's when Joshua was 10 years old, which was how they met. Sanae had helped his dad out with work one day, because Joshua's dad worked for the company that Sanae owned. And Joshua remembered what he said the day they met, "The world ends with you, Yoshiya. You decide how you lead your life, good experiences and bad."

Back then Joshua had no idea what that meant.

"Hey! Aleck!" Joshua blinked and saw a piece of paper with ruby pen ink on it with numbers, "Are you still with us?"

He uneasily took the paper and saw Izo's and Rei's name on it. He only guessed that they were phone numbers.

Quickly he dialed in the numbers for speed dial before Rei's pen was pushed into his hand "Okay Aleck, now your numbers. How can we keep in touch without giving phone numbers?"

With a sigh he put Ayumu's phone back in the pocket of the new clothes before writing down only his number, he paused and gazed at Rei "I think it would be reasonable for just my number."

"Sure." agreed Rei as she rested her hands on the back of her neck.

'Not like Ayumu needs to be called, he never even touched his cell phone at all.' he gave back the paper and watched Rei dial it in.

She abruptly stopped as soon as she finished "Hmm?" she looked at him curiously as she held up her white phone "It says Yoshiya Kiryu for your contact. What gives?"

"My name." said Joshua coolly as he returned her gaze.

Rei narrowed her eyes as she slowly retorted, "So your name is Yoshiya Kiryu… Do you hate your name, Aleck?"

"If you believe I do," he replied with a smirk.
