Hey, I felt nice enough to create chapter 18 for you guys. I hope to get a reaction =3

Week 1, day 5:

Chapter 18: Bleak Skies, Bleak Hearts:

The next day seemed bleak.

The scraggly ashen blond teen felt as though time had stopped, only to lament for him, or maybe pity him.

For a while Joshua sat on a bench looking at the paling sky, winter was coming in a few days. It was as bitter as what he now knew… Ayumu had no emotions and couldn't communicate with people. He wondered why Ayumu had to lose his emotions, for any reason he wanted to know.

Ayumu was asleep close by; he had an innocent look on his face, as he lay slanted a bit on his side as he breathed shallowly.

'Why didn't I figure it out sooner?' thought Joshua sadly as he slowly hung his head, his hands held only his cellphone as he pondered 'Ayumu never told me what was going on, why didn't he tell me? I could have helped him… Why…?'

Joshua felt some tears flow from his eyes and land on his fair skinned arms, he didn't care about that, the only thing on his mind was his half brother.

"Josh! Josh!" Joshua looked up as he looked over his shoulder; suddenly he saw darkness in his vision as he heard a giggle "You don't know who I am…"

Joshua was in Miyashita Park and he was watching some teenagers fighting the weird animals until Ayumu was blocking his vision.

The lavender-eyed child giggled as well before he teased "Hmm… Ayumu, why do you do this? It's very immature."

"Josh!" shouted Ayumu in frustration as he groaned, "You keep ruining my games. You're no fun!"

Joshua pried Ayumu's hands off his face and stared at him sternly "Games like that are for little babies, why should I play along with you if you can find other kids to play with."

He really wanted to watch those teenagers fight the weird animals so badly, but if Ayumu was blinding him, he couldn't.

The younger blond half brother frowned suddenly like his heart sank "But…" it looked like Ayumu bit his lip before he wailed "I like being with you…"

For awhile he heard Ayumu sniffling before a hoarse wail came "A-A-Are y-you saying y-you do-don't love me? They-"

"Wait, what?!" exclaimed Joshua as he stood up abrupt to see Ayumu rubbing his eyes as he sobbed, the 8 and a half year old Joshua looked at Ayumu as he asked "What's wrong? Who are they?"

"The kids at school said you don't love me," sobbed Ayumu as he tried to swallow his sob, "They said you just stand up for me because no one else is willing to do it. D-Do you… d-do you hate me?"

'What?' thought Joshua before he froze, Ayumu was hugging him tightly as he wept, "You do… You hate m-"

Joshua pushed Ayumu away a bit before he grabbed his shoulders gently "Those kids are just bullies, they feel good about hurting kids like you and others. Why would I hate you?"

The pewter-eyed child retained with his weeping and kept quickly mumbling and muttering unclearly, Joshua couldn't understand what he was saying. After a minute Joshua shook him "Speak, slowly."

Ayumu stopped and sniffled a bit, his eyes and face was red as he choked out "They said I-I-I was the most moodiest and useless kid in the whole school! And y-you h-hate how I am like that." After that the 8 year old hugged Joshua tightly again and wept.

'Moody? What's wrong with Ayumu being moody?' Joshua closed his eyes as he felt frustrated 'At times it is annoying… But those kids have no right to bully my half brother…'

"Josh." Joshua opened his eyes and looked up at Ayumu who stood in front of him, his half brother was staring at him visionless as he spoke emotionlessly "Feel bad. You feel sad and bad…"

Instead of replying, Joshua just stared at him feeling numb with angst. Never before had he felt so confused and desolate, he barely heard Ayumu repeat what he said "Josh. You feel sad and bad. Don't get it and why? Are you 'kay? Hurt are you?"

Still Joshua ignored him.

Suddenly Ayumu left him where he was sitting.

Joshua did not get up and just lowered his head again and hid his face with his hands, he wanted to do nothing and waste away into erasure.

A weird high pitched shrill that sounded like shattering ice and glass came from beside him. Slowly he raised his head and turned to see a yellow Noise symbol right beside him. He did nothing and stared at it dully.

It kept on making shrill noises that hurt his ears, but he didn't care.

Soon 2 Noise symbols came that were red, they swam in the air around him with the yellow Noise symbol. They all made the shrill noises and Joshua could hardly hear anything else.

"Hello…" said Joshua quietly and dully, he put away his phone before he watched them "Why are you guys here?"

In response the Noise inside the Noise symbols trilled and the only thing Joshua could do was giggle. He felt so numb with anguish.

He wondered why the Noise symbols were here; he didn't scan for them. But somehow he felt comforted with them.

'The yellow Noise symbol was here first…' Joshua looked at it as it swam right in front of him in the air, 'Was it here because I was sad? Hmm… Negative Noise, this is a Negative Noise.' He looked at the red Noise symbols 'These Noise symbols have easy Noise to erase. Chump Noise, these are Chump Noise.'

Somehow he slowly smirked as he whispered "Can you… help me?" the Noise kept trilling and floated backwards as he got up, "I need help. Please."

Gently he reached out his hand towards the Negative Noise symbol, "Nice… Noise…"

When he touched the Negative Noise symbol, his hand felt fuzzy and was nibbled sharply. Joshua kept his hand there for a while until he petted the Noise symbol with his other hand "How nice… are you… You aren't so bad… when I'm not risking my life… with clashing with you… Hehehe…"

Before he could do anything brilliant lights flashed around him like a curtain, and he heard a scream.

The next second he stood alone as a green Fox Noise with a yellow/green tattoo for a tail, a Gabba Bat Noise, a Thrash Mink Noise and a blue jellyfish Noise with light purple tattooed tentacles appeared.

Joshua did nothing as they all attacked him, he didn't feel like defending himself.

The Thrash Mink spun like a whirlwind and hit him multiple times while the Fox Noise suddenly turned into a Thrash Mink and did the same whirlwind attack.

Each Noise used their attacks on him, he felt pain chip at him as he cried out it pain. Suddenly he started to cry when he thought about Ayumu.

His tears flew off his face as the world began to slow down, black speckles began to dot his vision as well his left and right, and white blotches spread over the sides of his vision and he felt numb. He slowly fell to his knees as the attacks began to grow more painful, and he felt lightheaded as his surroundings began to spin and move.

Then he felt his strength was diminishing fast and he toppled forward, Joshua felt no pain when he hit the pavement at all. His eyes slowly flickered at the attacking Noise as his sight was engulfed by a black wave.

Everything went black, and the last thing he thought was 'Ayu…mu… Good…bye… For…ev…er…'
