It took only a few moments before Abraxas had burst into the library, a worried expression on his face. Noticing his Lord, he quickly bowed, "My Lord, I am so happy you are alright. I am so sorry for not noticing that someone had followed us. None of this would have happened if it wasn't for my stupidity."

"Calm yourself, Abraxas. Even I did not notice the follower. You did well bringing me here, and getting Kaitlyn to heal me. It was a brilliant rescue," Tom answered in complete calmness.

"I still apologize my Lord, that the fact she got injured as well," Abraxas spoke, still not looking up.

"What?" She had gotten injured? That made Tom near furious.

"In your healing, she pushed herself too hard for her magic to handle. She had even transferred a few of your wounds to herself accidentally. I had only meant for her to keep your magic up so I could make an attempt at healing you, not for her to take all of the healing onto herself."

That surprised Tom greatly. What did that mean, her pushing herself through that for him? "I'm assuming she was healed properly?"

"Yes, My Lord." Abraxas answered.

"Then it is fine. You did not order her, she took it upon herself. Should anyone be punished for her injuries, it would be her. Now, stand my dear friend. We have a few things to discuss."

He was searching for her again. All of that concern for him, and yet she disappears? Wonderful.

"Why are you up? You should be back in bed." A muffled voice reached him. Looking around, the only place he could think of her being was the hallway closet.

Opening the door, he found her, sitting in the dark corner, curled into a ball. She remained unmoving as he opened the door, and refused to look up at him. "Kaitlyn? Why are you sitting in a closet?"

"It's nice and quiet. Brings back memories I guess. Its safe to me, especially when things that happen get too much for me." Her crystal blue eyes finally looked up to meet his, "Was your conversation with Abraxas worth it?"

"Ever so worth it." He smirked at her. Yes, his conversation had been worth it. Considering he was now changing his thought process completely.

She blinked in confusion, before pushing herself into a standing position, "Good. Now back to bed you go. You are still not completely healed."

"Yes, yes. Of course. But, as our previous agreement states, only as long as you come to bed with me." Tom smirked again, watching her look away.

"Of course." And she walked ahead of him, not looking back at him.

That night was a quiet one. She stayed on one side of his bed, and of course he stayed on his side. Wouldn't do good to make her too uncomfortable, would it? She curled up into herself, and fell asleep, long before he did. But, he was ok with that. That meant he got time to watch her in complete peace, even if for just a short time.

He closed his eyes and allowed sleep to take him, awaiting for the time he could have Kaitlyn for himself completely.

Tom awoke with the feeling of another on top of him. He felt an arm draped across his chest, and a leg entangled with his. Feeling with one of his arms, he found it to be wrapped across the other's back and side.

Opening his eyes he found her face, laying peacefully on the pillow next to his shoulder. Her eyelashes lay gently on her cheeks, flickering ever so lightly, showing the fact that she was dreaming. Her breath came out softly, in her deep sleep.

Watching her, he slowly moved his other hand to gently move a strand of her blond hair from her face.

Yes, he could definitely get used to this.
