A/N: Hey guys, thanks for all the support! I am feeling much better! The only thing bothering me still is a slight cough, and I can't totally hear out of my left ear, so listening to music while I write or draw has been fun... T_T
I've uploaded one of the painting requests for you guys! The scene where Tessa catches the Starman :) It's on my deviantART titled 'Rogue Starman'. My next painting request, that I will upload, will likely be the scene where Tessa turns Zed's hair pink. I'm more than half way done with that one. I'm going to finish the painting requests before moving on to the handful of sketch requests I got, but once I upload everything, you guys will know here :) Thanks again!

*Chapter 106*
"Oliver!" Tessa loudly choked; the two were comfortably aboard Lickity, though Tessa laughed softly and tried her hardest to pry Oliver's extremely strong grip from her rib cage, "You're choking me, stop being such a baby! We won't fall!"
"You don't know that," Oliver muttered into her shoulder as Lickity's massive wings suddenly caught Sugar Rush's glorious, warm, summer-night wind. Tessa softly tugged on Lickity's saddle, to cue her to hover in the air while they waited for Zed to catch up.
"I DO know that," Tessa barked with a wide smile, as Oliver only barely eased up. Lickity garbled a loud, excited noise as she successfully flapped her long wings and hovered in the air, just above Sugar Rush's entrance. Tessa largely looked over her shoulder and noticed Zed, aboard his infamous light-cycle, came sliding into view, along with the core-shaking growl of his powerful engine.
"I'm sure Emery isn't putting up this much of a fit," Tessa laughed as Zed neared and slowed, to be awaited instruction from Tessa.
"Emery is on a smooth-riding light-cycle!" Oliver complained, though he couldn't help but laugh, "We're on a beast that could take a sudden dive any time she wants!"
"I know Lickity better than anyone on this whole entire planet," Tessa elbowed Oliver's ribs, though gently, "She's not going to do anything spontaneous, I promise!"
"Where we headed?" Zed called from the ground as he slowed, he was a little bit more reserved with how he drove his light bike, with fragile Emery holding onto him tightly.
"Stonecrest is a few miles South of Sugar Rush's entrance," Tessa replied down to him as she gestured around the large mountain top they were perched on, proper waffle cones drenched in the most delicious smelling chocolate, "Just keep close behind me, the terrain is pretty flat all the way to Stonecrest. You shouldn't have any issues."
"Yes ma'am," Zed called politely with a nod, in which Tessa smirked to.
As softly as she could, so not to freak Oliver out any more than he already was, she called to Lickity, and with all the grace in the world, Lickity softly dipped and began to head in the opposite direction of their beloved castle. Tessa jolted as Oliver largely latched back onto Tessa's middle, his massively strong arms and hands even had Tessa's eyes popping out of her head in surprise. She choked a small laugh and lovingly pat the back of Oliver's larger hand, as if to reassure him farther that she wouldn't let anything happen to him.
"C'mon, your first time on Lickity, and it's to impress the girl of your dreams," Tessa eased; the wind was quiet and soothing, as they remained at an easy speed for Zed, and Oliver's precious cargo, to follow. Tessa lightly looked over her shoulder and gave Oliver a kind, annoyed look, "Y'gotta stiffen your spine a little. Even if you did fall, and game-over, you'd regenerate."
"How manly of me," Oliver grumbled over Tessa's shoulder, "Emery would watch me scream like a little girl as I fell to my death."
"Ohhh, that'd be a sight," Tessa tried her very hardest to hold back laughter, at the thought of it all, though she shook her head in a knowing way, "Lickity won't let you fall... I won't let you fall. I promise, Olly. Now ease up, you're hurting me!"
"I'm sorry!" Oliver complained as he only barely loosened his grip.
He furrowed his eyebrows in hard annoyance, and though he tried his hardest to remain in his grumpy, nervous mood, the gorgeous scenery of his very own game finally hit his retinas. He raised his eyebrows in soft surprise and let his eyes gloss over Tessa's future kingdom; it was beautiful, the way the moon hit the delicate, sugary hills with a kiss of sprinkled darkness. The nighttime of the game was like the most sinful, sweetest honey, that seemingly coated the land with a much different vibe than the cheery, sunshine the daytime brought. The cotton candy clouds, in which could be seen billowing near Stonecrest in the distance, were dark and brooding, though somehow inviting. Oliver softened his posture and finally let the high altitude air hit his lungs and soak his existence. He smiled a smile of relief and, for the first time in his life, he felt his own home game envelope him in everything it had to offer.
"That's it," Tessa chuckled, which broke his cloud-nine concentration; he largely furrowed his eyebrows and opened his mouth to protest, though he knew Tessa was right to get him to ease up.
He knew this night was a bit of a shot in the dark, for him, though he also knew there were firsts for everything; from flying clear in familiarity, to flying blind in love. He rolled his eyes, at himself, and wondered just how he got swept into his sister's own nonsense, though he knew one day, just maybe, he would thank her. With a more loving grip this time, he squeezed Tessa with appreciation and buried his face into the top of her shoulder, as if to snuggle her. Tessa furrowed her eyebrows in soft confusion and gave him a weirded-out smile.
"Olly," Tessa kindly complained, with his notions, though she felt her heart swell, "Y'okay?"
"I'm fine," Oliver uttered through a soft exhale, "I didn't realize how beautiful it was up here... No wonder you're always taking Lickity for joy rides around the game."
"You can take Lickity for a spin, any time you want," Tessa said sincerely, though she furrowed her eyebrows in growing confusion; she knew she didn't just let anyone fly her companion, though she smiled with assurance, towards her notion, as Lickity let out a soft bellow, as if to agree.
"Thank you," Oliver nodded as their hair wisped about; he lightly looked over his shoulder, for Zed and Emery, and was thrilled to see them following close behind, "I might take you up on that offer..."
"All you have to do is ask," Tessa assured with a nod, "She's your girl, no problem."
Oliver smiled and peered down to Zed's hypnotizing light-bike, and was grateful Zed was taking great care of Emery, on the back of his amazingly powerful machine. The blue glow of his beautiful cycle weaved in and out of foliage, far from below, though the beaming light trail he left never faltered. Oliver opened his mouth to nonchalantly inquire about Zed's light bike, though he softly threw his eyes out to the horizon and stopped his train of thought. He raised his eyebrows, in growing surprise, as they now neared Stonecrest.
The massive city was flawless. Laid in the land of the richest, greenest vines of candy and foliage, Stonecrest sat humbled and intricately weaved about beautifully crafted domes and towers of marble-swirl stoned architecture, messily draped with years of green growth, as if it had been programmed to look like a lost, ancient city, discovered by few and crowned with the richest of modern city life. Amongst the city were two or three large pillars, miles wide and miles high; each was it's own separate importance, which housed sacred temples and the most heavenly views the game had to boast. One pillar, of which, was the tallest, was home to one of three slices of Sugar Rush's code room. Tessa knew the three exterior location's, of Sugar Rush's code room, was Orion's tower, which was on the castle's grounds, Starkrem's city-head, and Stonecrest's city-head. With said slice of the code room, was a decent sized home, made just for royalty's family vacations; designed by the Queen herself.
Tessa's eager eyes scanned where her and Zed would lay off to, for the night, though it was lightly covered by clouds that hung in the area; she knew their destination was also known as the house on the clouds. She had to wonder just how lucky they were, to land such a marvelous location for the night. She almost didn't want to think about it too hard, for fear of certain, bubbling topics coming to her mind. She beamed a knowing smile, otherwise, and lightly looked back past Oliver and Lickity's stiff tail and tail sails. She noticed Zed's lightbike still keeping close distance to the two, though she knew once the two actually reached the outskirts of the city, things would get tricky; Zed would have to suddenly deal with traffic, and Lickity would have to suddenly deal with buildings and stop lights.
Tessa squinted her eyes and slowly hunkered herself closer to Lickity, which she was glad cued Oliver to hold on tighter, and fall into rhythm with the two as well. She softly bowed Lickity closer to the ground, which made her gain more speed, though the minute Lickity started having to shorten her down and upward wing-swipe, because of taller buildings getting in the way, Tessa knew she'd have to continue this adventure on Lickity's running ability. As carefully and skillfully as she knew, she bowed Lickity closer to the ground and cued her to land. Lickity bellowed a soft roar and gracefully reached the ground, but not without a few hobbles of excitement, over the new location she has never visited.
Tessa steered Lickity to finally face the direction in which Zed would be approaching, and with the loud growl of his light-bike, as well as Tessa's foreign ride, the five began to draw a bit of attention Tessa knew, as royalty, they shouldn't let get too big. Zed ever so slowly approached Lickity and the two remained parallel to each other. Oliver eagerly peered to Emery and was thrilled to see that she looked as if she was enjoying herself, over being scared. He felt a wave of relief come over him; he knew she was not the most adventurous person, though like his daring ambitions, with allowing Tessa to get him in the sky, he figured Emery had the same mindset and was letting the wind carry her where ever it took her.
"Go too high, through these sky scrapers, and you'll lose me," Zed chuckled as his bike grumbled in it's idling state, he lightly stepped his foot to the asphalt underneath as the five hung in an area that wasn't blocking the light traffic that was about.
"Yeah, I figured I'd come down to your level," Tessa called softly, though she couldn't help but at least attempt to get a good look around. She nodded softly and quickly peered back, over her shoulder, "The ice cream shop, mom always used to take us to, is a few blocks that way."
"Lead the way, your majesty," Zed gave Tessa a knowing smirk; Tessa raised her eyebrows softly and assessed Zed's given vibe.
She knew Zed was aware of the infamous nickname she hated, though for some reason, the way it fell from his existence, was of the utmost respect and humbleness. Tessa gave him a coy smile, as if to express that he was, indeed, asking for it. Tessa could see Emery raise her eyebrows in girly surprise and give her friend a look, as if to reciprocate the look Tessa was attempting to give Zed. With a small chuckle, and a playfully, bantering notion out of Oliver, Tessa finally cued Lickity to head forward, and with that, the two eased into the traffic that was about the city.
The ancient city was glorious, an obvious stage of seemingly ruined architecture that had been risen from the grave and delicately brought back to life, with the help of Sugar Rush's modern appeal. The night time life was very busy and excitable, with an abundance of motor bikes, small, open-topped vehicles that buzzed about. Bike messengers, street dwellers and busy-bodies were everywhere. Tessa couldn't help but let her eyes wander the shroud of neon lights, loud voices, honking cars and dribbles of excitable music that came and went. She suddenly jolted as Lickity became a bit too intrigued with the situations going on around her, and she softly nudged into the back of the car in front of her. Tessa yanked up on Lickity's saddle as Oliver exhaled a hard noise.
"You watching the road?" Oliver urged in annoyance as Zed's lightbike growled a sudden noise, as he jolted to a stop behind Lickity's flopping tail.
"Y'know, I didn't think I really had to, considering my vehicle has eyeballs," Tessa said loudly, to Lickity; she in turn flattened her ears and stiffened her neck and spine. She nearly stood on her hind legs and exhaled a grumble of annoyance, as if to rival Tessa's authority, though she fell back to her forefeet and shook her head about, as if to rid herself of the troublesome sudden stop.
"Nice drivin', Tess," Zed called from directly behind Lickity, though Tessa scrunched her shoulders and whirled around to get a good look at Zed, over her shoulder.
"You want to try steering this thing through a city of shiny, distracting things?" Tessa replied with a loud, annoyed laugh.
"I don't think people are used to uh..." Oliver nervously rubbed the back of his head and noticed a slight crowd began to gawk at the scene in the road, "Used to seeing a dragon and an ancient, Tron light-cycle in the middle of Stonecrest."
"We can't fly out of here," Tessa uttered in annoyance as people, on the sidewalks, began to point, "What do you suggest we do?"
"Why are you asking me? You're the Queen," Oliver said through an incredulous laugh an an angry hand gesture out towards the traffic.
Tessa furrowed her eyebrows in hard surprise and felt Oliver's words hit the back of her skull like a hot realization she had almost entirely forgotten about. She had always been so used to Sugar Rush being under the rule of her mother, though she gazed down at the grid-lined streets and felt a wave of newfound power come over her. She let a small, humbled smile grace her face as she realized, once and for all, even if it was for the night, she was the ultimate head of the game. As slowly and easily as she could, she dismounted Lickity, which cued Oliver to do so, in curious, baited wait. He nervously looked back at Zed and largely shrugged, though Zed and Emery remained on his idling light-cycle, as if to wait further instructions from the Queen.
Tessa nervously peered out to the traffic that seemingly crawled about the city life, though she could feel the four gamers, behind her, begin to scoot closer to her back, as if the attention being drawn was beginning to make everyone anxious. Tessa felt her soul get lost in the chaos, the wind whipped her hair and dress about lightly. She inhaled a slow breath and looked down to the worn asphalt underneath her bare feet. She knew she had dreamed of being totally in charge, every single last circuit in her body was the only being in all of Sugar Rush that now had total control of the game. She smiled in a curious way and almost was frightened by how much power one single, live-wired finger swipe, of hers, contained. As delicately as she could, she knelt one knee to the ground and let her palm find the pavement.
"Tessa," Oliver inquired nervously, almost as if to ask what she was doing, and to urge her to hurry up, all in one simple call of her name. He looked about before glancing back at Zed and Emery and Lickity, though all four pairs of eyes held their curious attention to the Queen.
With a hard jolt of overloaded power, Tessa's palm riddled with her hot purple code and sparked the game's existence. She gasped and shut her eyes tight, though she quickly looked up to the traffic and was surprised to see the road's grid lines show through, as if to express they were ready to be altered. Before buildings could crumble and pavement could shatter like glass, she brought a tangible road of grid from the game's wiring. It was about four feet in width, though it hung a good dozen feet above the busy traffic life underneath. It glowed hot purple, Tessa's code shone through brilliantly. Tessa exhaled a small noise of curious excitement, as if to be stunned that her thoughts could even be put into such actions; as if anything and everything were suddenly possible. She furrowed her eyebrows and only merely thought of their destination, before the wired circuit road jolted and began to snake in a lightning speed path, to just where they needed to be. Tessa finally stood up straight, and with a simple flick of her straightened hair, she gave the four, behind her, a cocky smile and tilted her head towards their now mapped out destination.
"Ready to run?" Tessa wondered, though she laughed and rolled her eyes as everyone's facial expression read dumb-founded surprise. Tessa shook her head as she quickly boarded Lickity, "C'mon, guys, we don't need anymore gawking stares around here!"
