Few years later

"You know you shouldn't be here, right?"— Aurora laid down her sunglasses to face Milo, who was already tanned laying on the sand

"Why only you can have the good life? We all do run away from the Sanctuary from time to time, right?

"But I'm not like you. No one threats me if I get out. If Shura finds out…"

" That dickhead is on a mission, sweetie."—he shrugged — "you may not be a saint like us but damn you look good on a bikini"- he put down the sunglasses and looked at her from head to toe.

"You better stop right now or I'll report you." — she replied without even bothering to look at him. Milo was all flirty but he knew they were just friends. He is just this kind of guy.

He put his hands up "My bad. What's with the white strand?" he pointed to her wavy hair; all black except for a strand where the tips faded into white.

"This?" — she picked the strand— "Courtesy from notre ami during our last battle for the Aquarius' cloth". His "Aurora Execution" kinda froze my hair I guess; I barely could avoid the attack. More a few haircuts and it's gone.

Milo chuckled— "Sorry, I always found it funny that his attack has your name on it. Kinda corny."

"Just a weird coincidence the universe gave to us" — she shrugged, smiling —" Same thing would happen to you if you ever met someone called 'Scarlet'."

He agreed. "Anyway, why he isn't here?"

Aurora burst into a laugh " Milo, can you picture Camus getting a tan on the beach? Really? Anyway, he's all serious and responsible as usual, sometimes it's quite annoying."

"Yeah, you're right. It's hard enough to make him hang out with us…I think he got more distant after Isaak's death."

Hearing that was like a punch in the stomach for Aurora

"We will never get over that, but we should try to move on with our lives. There's nothing we could have done about it. He's just trying to hide his feeli—"

"Ahem" — a tall figure interrupted —" Are the two tramps done with all the gossip?"

"Shit!" — Aurora turned around to face Camus staring at them with the coldest look he was able to give under a very sunny day. "Jeans, black tee, sunglasses…he should definitely dress casually more often," she thought —What are you doing here?

"They were looking for Milo on the Sanctuary and I had to come after you before both of you get in trouble". — he said and Aurora was about to argue but before she could contest he proceeded. "Yes, you too, Aurora. You live with me, you're under my responsibility"

Aurora picked up her stuff, irritated.

"Fine. But you really should take a break sometimes, dad. It doesn't hurt. It's healthy".

He sighed and mumbled something almost inaudible in French. She hated when he did that.

They walked back to the sanctuary together, in silence.

"Bar at 20h?"—Milo murmured to her and she gave him the look.—" What? He's my friend, he's invited too." —he added, louder.

Camus checked his watch and softly smirked—If in eight hours you two do all the stuff you're supposed to finish, then count me in."

"Deal."

"And buy us a round of beer. For all the years you've been standing us up."

Camus sighed. "Alright".

Although Aurora was still angry, she enjoyed those rare moments when they behaved like normal youngsters; walking by the beach with her two best friends.

Eight hours later, Aquarius temple:

"Why are you all dressed up?" — Camus asked, surprised, standing on Aurora's bedroom door.

"Bar at 20h, remember. You should get changed too."

"Did you-"

"Finish the training schedule for the girls? Teach Greek for foreign saints?"

He raised an eyebrow.—"What about th-"

"Oh, the English lessons? Groceries? Supervising the beginners? Done, done and done. I also practised alone a little bit so perhaps people here will see me as something more than a mere teacher".- She noted, while tying her hair in a ponytail.

She was on high-waisted jeans, a black tee and white sneakers. Camus stared at her, slightly amazed

." Hurry up and get dressed, you're coming with us. Milo is fast, he's probably already there"—she passed by him and whispered in his ear—" And remember: don't ever underestimate me again."

Camus POV

"No way look who showed up! "- Milo shouted soon as they stepped into the pub and I regretted agreeing with them on the beach. "Hey, Nikko! Camus will pay this round!"— he ordered the barman.

I remained calm and sat by the counter. I guess I really need a drink.

It's not that I don't like that. It's just…exhausting sometimes.

"Hey, Milo, take it easy" — Aurora bumped him.

"No way our Frenchman is here! Is it like the second time this year?"- a very friendly Aldebaran asked – "A glass of vodka for this man, Nikko!"

Actually was the third. Aurora's birthday, when she forced me to go out; then my birthday exactly a week later, when she and Milo also nagged about how was a waste of time to not celebrate your own birthday. And now, by a stupid bet.

I thanked him and grabbed my vodka, taking a look at the place.

Aurora and I liked basically the same kind of people: Milo, Aldebaran, Aiolia and Mu, but this one was most of the time in Jamir. Shura…well, is Shura. Don't get on his bad side.

Milo and Aiolia have an unresolved feud so there's a cold war atmosphere when both are in the same conversation.

Deathmask and Aphrodite are always on the bar, however, they are not exactly the kind of people I'd trust. And there's Shaka, who never leaves his temple.

And among this chaotic place, there is Aurora. While I observe everything, she lives it. She is an observer yet the life of the party; I guess everybody likes her, there's no reason to not.

Sometimes I want to be part of it, taste a bit of her reckless charm, and be likeable.

But today, I wasn't really in the mood.

I was dragged back to Earth when someone carelessly spilt beer on my shirt. Milo

"What is bothering you, my friend?"— Milo bumped my arm. Drunk, already.

"Today and right now? You"- I answered coldly while taking another sip of vodka.

He laughed, loudly. "No, that's impossible! Because I'm your best friend heeere! How could I piss you off?"

"Yeah, I wonder how."— I muttered.

"You need to melt all this ice, Camus! Live, run away a little, get a girlfriend!"

I finished my vodka and ordered another.

"Milo, stop the nonsense. Our priority is Athena."

"I bet my cloth Athena would want you to get a girlfriend, there's nothing wrong with being happy."—He slammed the table, making me want to die of secondhand embarrassment.— "We are seventeen and this is the eighties! We shoooould get him a girl, am I right, Rory?"

Hearing him calling her Rory somehow just made me angrier.

Aurora calmly took a sip of her scotch and firmly looked at us before saying anything— "By the way, Milo, I think you and Shaina would be a great match"

Aurora was great at manipulating annoying conversations. I thanked her with a look

"Don't! That one is crazy, I'm telling you! We were drunk and we had to make out in a dark alley because she threatened me if I saw her face. Who does she think she is, a mere silver saint? Nope, never again.

"That sounds sexy to me, are you afraid?"—Aurora winked, teasing.

"She is just too powerful for a young silver saint...But we were talking about Camus, right?—he said even more drunk bumping his cheap beer into my chest.

Not again

Without thinking, I froze his mug and his hand. I could feel the surprised looks from Aphrodite and Aldebaran. — "Aurora, I'm done for today". – I said, putting some cash over the table. "Goodnight you all."

"Yeah, me too"—she quickly finished her shot and followed me.— "See ya."

"Bye, you morons."— someone shouted but honestly I couldn't care less about who was.

Merde, cheap vodka —I thought, feeling my stomach sick. I heard Aurora behind my back and could sense she was waiting for the right moment to start talking.

This was going to be a long way back home.

FYI: Camus and Aurora here are 18, Milo is 17. Shaina is only mentioned but in my head, she's 16

Lots of errors were fixed + a couple of changes were added. Hope you enjoy it!
