Chapter 4

The next day everyone woke up and Sam told the kids to eat and then it was going to be bath time. Caleb smiled and put the kid's plates on the table so they could eat. The twins looked at the food and smiled when they saw the pancakes. It was one of their favorite foods.

"Thank you." They said at the same time

"Your welcome" Sam smiled and then started eating

Dean and Caleb followed suit and after a while everyone was done eating. While Dean cleaned up Sam took the twins into the bathroom and helped them get in the bath. The water was warm and had some bubbles and toys for them. Sophie was the first one in and then Nick got in. While they played Sam poured water on their heads and then put shampoo and conditioner on. Because it was tear free the kids didn't have a problem when it was time to rinse it out. Sam then got a wash cloth and put some soap on it then washed their bodies. After they were clean he drained the water and then Dean helped him wrap them in a towel. They then went to the bedroom and got them dress.

"All right let's get the stuff in the car and then we can go to Bobby's house." Dean said picking up the cloths

"Is he going to like us?" Nick asked walking next to Caleb

"He will love you." Caleb smiled

After they finished loading everything in the trunk they got in the impala and Caleb got in his jeep before pulling out and on to the road. It was going to take them a few hours to get to Bobby's and they hoped the kids would be fine for that long. They were three hours in to the ride when Nicholas started first.

"Are we there yet?"

"No not yet buddy." Sam said turning the music down

"What about now?" Sophie asked next a few seconds later

"Not yet!" Dean said this time

"How about now!" They said together

"When the car stops then we will be there." Sam said looking at the two kids

The kids then looked out the window just watching the scenery go by. By the time they got to Bobby's place the kids where wanting to get out and run. Once the car stopped they tried to get the seat belts off.

"Daddy let me out please?" Sophie whined

"Don't worry we will get you out." Sam said getting out and going to the little girl

Once Sam got Sophie out and Dean had Nicholas out they started walking to the door. Before they could get to the door Bobby opened it and walked out.

"Hello boys this is a surprise. Where did you fine these two kids?" Bobby asked when he saw the boy and girl

"He's our Daddy, mommy got hurt and went to heaven so we ..." Sophie started until Sam cut her off

"That's enough Sophie why don't you go with your brother and wait inside for us."

"Ok daddy, Did I do something wrong?" She asked

"You did just fine sweetie."

The girl nodded and then ran inside with Nick fallowing closely behind her. Sam looked at Bobby and knew the look he was being given. It was the look of shock and pissed.

"Bobby look I know this looks bad but." Sam started

"Oh you do? Why didn't you tell me? How could you three keep this from me? Does Macland know about this?" From the look on Sam's face gave Bobby the answer

Bobby shook his head in disbelief and was about to walk away when Dean stopped him. He had enough of the back talk from both his friends and Sam didn't need this after finding out he had two kids let alone losing the person he loved. It was getting too much for them.

"We didn't know about the kids. Sam just found out he was a father. We told Caleb yesterday and came here to tell you. Mac doesn't know yet but we will tell him." Dean yelled

Bobby looked at Sam and felt like an ass. Here he was blaming the kid when he too just found out. Why didn't he just let Sam explain before yelling at the kid!

"I feel like an ass. I'm sorry for yelling at you Sam. I should have let you finish."

"It's ok Bobby. It's over with now." Sam said giving a small smile

"What happened, why do you have the kids?"

"They got in a car crash and their mom died. She was the one we helped with the haunted painting. The one where the little girl killed her family. We got a call from the hospital and we showed up and found out I was a father, a few days later she passed away." Sam finished

"I'm sorry to hear that. How are the kids taking it? They seem to know you and trust you for someone that just found out about them." Bobby said opening the door and walking in to the kitchen

"That's because Sarah told them about me and had a picture of me from a newspaper. They grew up with the picture and when I showed up they knew who I was right off the bat. They seem to be doing ok I just don't think it's kicked in yet." Sam informed him

"How are you coping with the news?"

"It was hard at first but with Dean and you guys I can get through it. It's just going to take time."

"Daddy … Daddy … Daddy!" Sophie called out running around the house until she found him in the kitchen

"What's the matter Sophie, where's Nick?" He asked since the boy wasn't with her

"He went in a room and then I didn't see him." She cried holding on to Sam

The three hunters got up and started calling his name. Sophie led them to the room where she last saw her brother but like she said the room was empty. On the floor was the green dinosaur he had got the other day. Sam looked at Dean and then to Bobby with a worried look. He held his daughter close not wanting her to vanish.

"Guys we have to find him, please I can't lose him." Sam said running out of the room and looking into another room

"Nick, where are you? This isn't funny now come on out?" Sam yelled

Everyone then heard footsteps coming from upstairs and then Nick laughing. They ran up to the room where the laughing was coming from to find the small boy playing with some kittens.

"Daddy look Nick found some kittens!" Sophie screamed joyfully

Everyone sighed with relief of finding the boy and then wondered how kittens got in the house with out being noticed. There where about five kittens all ranging from different colors. One was all black, another one was black with white spots, then the third one was tan with streaks if orange strips, the last two where brown and black mixed .

Can we keep them daddy?" Sophie asked picking up the brown and black one while Nick had the black one

"I don't know guys we really don't have the room for them?" Sam said looking over to Dean

"You guys could leave them here and come visit them when you can." Bobby offered

"Yeah daddy can we … can we please?" Nick this time asked

"Alright but you have to take good care of them."

Caleb brought a big box over and they started putting the kittens in there. After that they went to the kitchen and the kids helped warm some milk up and put it in a bowl so that the cats could drink.

"Alright let's let them be and I will get you guys something good to eat. What about peanut better and jelly?" Bobby asked

"Yeah!" The kids excitedly yelled

The guys put paper towels down and then got the Sippy cups out and put milk in them before the kids started eating. While they ate the others made them self's food.

When everyone was done eating they picked up and then took the kittens outside. The boys watched as the two kids ran around chasing the kittens laughing. It was turning out to be a good day for the hunter family.

"So what's the plan now boys?" Bobby asked

"Well we stay here a few days and then we find a nice plays to stay low and figure something out." Dean said

"What about hunting?"

"We always talked about taking a break so now is a good a time as any. It won't be for good … just til we get things in order." Sam said this time

"Well you can stay here as long as you like." Bobby told them and then got up to get some of the cars fixed up.
