Hey everyone! Sorry for the long absence, but I think I'm really getting into the groove with this story. So many different subplots are dancing through my mind right now. AAAAAAAHHH! Anyway, this has been Darkshadow, hope you enjoy!

Thunderstar sat on the wooden stage with only one thought on his mind, 'Where is everyone?'

"So Thunderstar," Windstar questioned, sitting cross-legged next to Riverstar, "When did the flyer say to get here for auditions?"

Thunderstar squinted at his watch, "I'm sure it said one, and it's almost one-fifteen! At least, I'm pretty sure it said one. Seventy-five percent sure."

Skystar rolled his eyes. "Well, did you check the flyers after you had us make them for you?"

Thunderstar glared.

Riverstar showed Windstar another picture on his phone, "I'm sure people will come, just give it time."

With almost comedic timing, a loud and quite familiar ding echoed across the room. All four of their heads turned towards the elevator. A petite girl stepped through the doors, along with a tall man in his late twenties and a shorter girl of the same age.

"There, see Skystar, people did show up!" Thunderstar said proudly.

Skystar snorted.

The three newcomers walked up to the stage. The blond was more confident than the other two, she marched up the stage steps and stood before the directors.

Thunderstar clambered to his feet along with the rest of the group and waved. "Hey, I'm Thunderstar, Skystar and I are in charge of directing the actors here. Over there," he said pointing to his right, "Is Riverstar and Windstar, they're in charge of the props, costumes, audio, that stuff. And behind me is Shadowstar, she's in charge of advertising and financing. I assume you're here for auditions?"

The blond girl nodded, "Yes I am, and so are they," she gestured behind her, "The ginger is Firestar, the other one is his sister Princess. I'm Sandstorm." Firestar came up next to her and put his arm around her shoulders, Princess hid behind her older brother.

Thunderstar smiled big, "Which parts are you trying out for?"

Sandstorm opened her mouth but Firestar started first, "Sandstorm and Princess are trying out for Nala, and I'm trying out for Mufasa."

Skystar stepped in front of Thunderstar, "Wait in the right wing, we'll call you out when we're ready."

The three contestants hurried off behind the curtain into the right wing. Thunderstar gave Skystar a blank look, "So what's the plan?"

"You mean you don't have one!?" Windstar cried.

"What can I say, I'm not a planner."

Shadowstar gave an exasperated sigh.

Skystar hopped into the orchestra pit, "Well if Thunderstar doesn't have a plan, let's talk about mine shall we?" He strolled over to the right wall and dusted off a folding chair. He placed it in the center of the pit. Then he went back and did the same with another chair, and another, and so on until there were five chairs sitting in a line.

Shadowstar was nodding along, "So we judge them all together? Wouldn't it be better if it was just the directors-" she was interrupted by Riverstar.

"Nope, we're doing this, it's gonna be fun, let's go," he said, jumping into the orchestra pit. Windstar followed closely behind. Shadowstar shrugged and hopped in after them.

Thunderstar picked up a megaphone from a nearby stool and began to speak.

"Alright, we're gonna call you out in alphabetical order. So first, Firestar!"

Thunderstar dropped down into the pit and sat in the center chair.

Firestar strolled casually across the stage, stopping in front of the judges.

Skystar looked him up and down, "What part are you trying out for?"

Firestar responded confidently, "Mufasa," He cupped his hands around his mouth and whispered down at the judges, "To be honest, I'm actually not that good. I'm doing this for my sister. She's a bit shy, but an amazing singer, you'll love her."

Shadowstar gave a small smile, "Alright, and what song have you chosen?"

Firestar coughed into his hand, "Um, Radioactive, by Imagine Dragons, I have the sheet music if you need it."

Skystar paled, he looked around at the rest of the judges. Shadowstar had her head in her hands, Thunderstar gave Skystar a panicked look. Somehow, they had never thought about how they would play the background music.

Riverstar piped up from the far end of the row, "Actually for auditions, we're doing it A Cappella style."

Skystar gave his silver-haired friend a grateful glance, "Okay, you can start whenever you want."

Firestar started to sing, it started out weak and shaky. High notes seemed to give him the worst trouble, but by the end of it his voice seemed to settle and it was deep, but also happy. Almost as if he was in on some kind of joke no one else seemed to get. Most of the group looked pleased, but Shadowstar looked slightly troubled. Thunderstar noticed this, "Firestar, that was great. Why don't you wait in the back."

After Firestar went back to the right wing, Thunderstar turned to Shadowstar. "What's the problem Shadowstar?"

Shadowstar frowned, "Well he says he's auditioning for Mufasa, but he sounds more like an adult Simba."

Skystar thought for a moment, "Well if we don't find anyone better we'll just offer him the part of Simba."

"Sounds good," Thunderstar said and grabbed the megaphone, "Princess!"

The girl slowly walked out onto the stage. She brought her trembling hand up to her face and tucked a strand of light brown hair behind her ear. "My- my name is Prince- Princess."

"What part are you trying out for Princess?" Windstar asked gently.

"Oh, um, Nala. The song is- I mean, my song is- Shut Eye by Stealing Sheep."

Windstar nodded politely, "Alright, start whenever you want."

Princess whispered something under her breath before starting out slowly. She stumbled over a few words and Skystar winced visibly.

Princess turned red and muttered, "I'm sorry. I'll go, this was a bad idea."

Windstar spoke up before the girl on the stage turned around, "Hey, don't go yet. You were great, just a little quiet. Try again."

Princess took a few deep breaths before starting again. Her voice was louder this time, and it echoed around the room. By the time she finished the second verse, the judges were awed by the young girl's voice.

"You got the part!" Shadowstar said, suddenly jumping up from her chair.

Princess took a step back, startled. Her face lit up and she rushed backstage to her brother who hugged her tightly. A few moments later Sandstorm walked out from the right wing and headed for the orchestra pit. She leaned over the edge and gave Windstar a questioning look.

"Yes?" Windstar asked, edging away from the strange girl.

"Do you guys need any help with the props or painting backgrounds?"

Skystar looked the girl up and down. "I thought you were going to try out for Nala?"

"Yeah well," Sandstorm shot back, "Plans change."

Skystar glanced at Windstar and Riverstar, who seemed to be having a psychic conversation.

They turned back to the blond girl in unison and said, "Sure, we could use the help."

"Great," The sandy-blond girl said before charging past the rows of seats and disappearing through the elevator doors. Moments later Princess burst out from behind the curtains, with her brother trailing behind her. He smiled and waved at the judges before leaving with his sister.

The judges were content- and somewhat relieved, until…

"Did anybody remember to get their numbers?"

The group dashed out of the theater and out into the lobby, where Yellowfang was painting her nails a dark red at the desk.

"Are- are they gone?" Riverstar asked breathlessly, clutching his side.

Yellowfang nodded and ran the brush along her long pinky nail.

Shadowstar groaned, "How are they going to know when anything is happening? We screwed up!"

"I blame Thunderstar."

The old woman at the desk rolled her eyes and held out three sheets of paper to the disheartened girl.

Shadowstar stared blankly at the papers before letting out a sigh of relief. "It's alright guys, she got all their info."

The group shared a collective moment of happiness. Suddenly Windstar snatched one of the papers from Shadowstar's grasp.

"Yellowfang, why did you ask for their blood type?"
