Party Guessed

"I'm saying we need a new plan, because next time, one of us is gonna be too hurt to heal." Derek said as he, Scott, and Kristie walked into one of the subway trains.

"Ugh, I get it." Scott said. "We can't save Jackson."

"We can't seem to kill him either." Derek paused. I've seen a lot of things. I've never seen anything like this. Every new moon's just gonna make him stronger."

"Then how do we stop him?" Kristie asked, sitting next to Derek.

"I don't know. I don't even know if we can."

"Maybe we should just let the Argents handle it." Scott said.

"I'm the one who turned him. It's my fault." Derek sighed.

"Yeah, but you didn't turn him into this." Kristie said, taking Derek's hand. "I mean, this happened because of something in his past, right?"

"That's a legend in a book. It's not that simple."

"What do you mean? What are you not telling us?" Scott asked.

"Why do you think I'm always keeping something from you?"

"Because you always are keeping something from me."

"Well, maybe I do it to protect you both."

"Doesn't being part of your pack mean no more secrets?" Kristie asked. If Derek was gonna start trusting her, he needed to trust Scott as well.

"Go home, you two. Sleep. Heal. Make sure your friends are safe. 'Cause the full moon's coming. And with the way things are going, I've got a feeling it's gonna be a rough one." Scott sighed and walked out of the subway car. Kristie went to follow him, but Derek grabbed her arm. "Not you. Not yet." He said.

Kristie smirked, but it soon turned into a smile. Derek wrapped his arms around her and kissed her. It would have gone on forever, but she stopped it. "Scott's probably waiting for me."

"I'm glad your alright." Derek said, moving a piece of hair behind her ear.

"I'm glad you are to. With what Allison's mom did to Scott…..I'm just glad you weren't hurt to. I don't know what I would do if something happened to both of you."

Kristie sat on her bed, with her history textbook when her phone began to ring. She thought it would be Derek calling, but was surprised to see Lydia's face pop up. "Hello?" she answered.

"What are you doing at this very moment?" Lydia eagerly asked.

"Uh….homework."

"Well stop and come outside right now. I have a surprise for you."

"Really Lydia?"

"Come on. It's a surprise, for you and for Allison."

Kristie sighed. "Fine, be down in a minute." Kristie hung up, put on her shoes and ran downstairs.

"Where are you going?" Melissa asked.

"I don't know. Lydia says she has a surprise."

Kristie walked out the door and saw Lydia sitting in her car. She went to the driver's window and saw shopping bags in the back seat. "Clothes? That's your surprise?"

"Come on. I knew you wouldn't come if I said clothes. I need to you and Allison to help me pick out outfits for my party. Then we can find yours." Lydia smiled. "Now get in."

The strawberry blonde drove them to Allison's house. Lydia had so many shopping bags, Kristie had to help her as they went up to Allison's room. "Clear your schedule." Lydia said, walking into Allison's room. "This could take a while."

"God, how many outfits do you plan on wearing tonight?" Kristie said as she, Lydia, and Allison gathered around the bed, ready to look through the clothes.

"It's my birthday party. I'm thinking host dress." She held up a gray and black striped mini dress. "Evening dress, then, mm, after - hours casual." She began taking more dresses out.

"I noticed that you didn't send out any invites." Allison said.

"It's the biggest party of the year, Allison. Everyone knows."

"I was wondering if maybe this year things, you know, might be different."

"Why would anything be different?"

"Just 'cause things have been off lately." Kristie said. "Things and people. Like Jackson."

Suddenly there seemed to be tension in the room. "What do you care about Jackson?"

"Do you know if he's coming tonight?"

"Everyone's coming." Lydia paused, then went back to her bubbly self. "This one's American rag." She held up a peach colored dress. "Mm, I love it. For me, not you two. This one's material girl. It's for you." She held up a pink flowered dress for Allison. "And for you, Kristie. This." She held up a plain long sleeved black mini dress. "Simple, yet sophisticated, with a hint of sexy."

Then there was a knock on Allison's door. It was Mrs. Argent. Kristie stiffened as she saw her. "Mrs. Argent. What do you think of this one?" Lydia asked, gesturing to the dress Kristie held up.

"Oh, it's lovely." Mrs. Argent hesitantly said, giving Kristie a look. "Allison, uh, can I grab you for a moment to talk? Just the two of us."

"Um, can we do it later?" Allison asked.

"Actually, uh, to be honest, sooner would be - would be better."

"Party's at 10:00." Lydia said.

"Um, will you be around before then?"

"I think so." Allison said.

"You think so.

"I don't know." Allison held up her dress. "You think so?" She asked Lydia and Kristie.

"I like it." Kristie said. She held up one of Lydia's necklaces. "All right, here you go. No, it's too much."

"I think I like it."

"You like it?" Kristie asked.

"Yeah, no, I do." She looked at Lydia. "Happy Birthday."

"Thank you." She replied, going on through her dresses like nothing in the world was wrong, all why Kristie could only think that she was in the house of the woman who tried to murder her brother and boyfriend.

Kristie smoothed out her dress as she walked out of her bathroom. "Well aren't you hot." Kristie looked up and saw Derek laying in her bed, eyeing her up and down.

"And don't you look like a pervert. You know one day my mom could come in here one day and find you."

"I'll worry about that when that day comes." Derek grabbed Kristie around the waist and threw her on the bed. He began to kiss her all over, her neck, her lips.

"Hold on there Mr." Kristie said, pushing him off. "Not that I don't love the affection, but you have three Betas to worry about. Or have you forgotten it is the full moon tonight."

"Oh I haven't forgotten. But I just wanna spend a few minutes with my mate so I can forget about it." Derek kissed her again.

"Alright, Mr. Hale, you are being drawn in by the moon. I'd rather not deal with a boyfriend who is dealing with moon lust."

"Moon lust?"

"It's a thing….I think."

"Gosh, you are killing my buzz."

"And rightly so. Go get ready, get prepared for tonight. Besides I have to finish getting ready for Lydia's party."

"Fine." Derek sighed. "But as soon as things calm down, I'm coming back." Derek was about to climb through her window, when he turned back around. "Be careful." He said.

She was just going to Lydia's party. How could she not be careful?

Scott and Kristie arrived not long after Stiles. They started walking around. "Have you seen Jackson anywhere?" Stiles asked.

"No." Scott said. "Seen Allison?"

"No, but we should probably tell her what we found." Kristie said.

"I'm still kind of not sure what we found." Scott replied.

"I figured out it has something to do with water." Stiles said. "You know, the fact that all the victims were on the swim team, the way the kanima reacted around the pool."

"So whoever's controlling the Kanima really hates the swim team?" Kristie asked.

"Hated the swim team. Specifically, the 2006 swim team. So it could be another teacher. Maybe like a student back then. I mean, who are we missing though? What haven't we thought of?"

Suddenly, Allison walked up to them. "Uh, Jackson's not here." She said.

"Yeah, no one's here." Kristie said.

"Maybe it's just early." Scott offered.

"Or maybe nobody's coming because Lydia's turned into the town whack job." Stiles said.

"Well, we have to do something, because we've completely ignored her for the past two weeks." Allison said.

"She's completely ignored Stiles the past ten years." Scott replied.

"I prefer to think of it as me not having been on her radar yet." Stiles suggested.

"We don't owe her a party."

"What about the chance to get back to normal?" Kristie asked.

"Normal?" Scott asked.

"She wouldn't be the town whack job if it wasn't for us."

"I guess I could use my co - captain status to get the lacrosse team here."

"Yeah, I also know some people who can get this thing going." Stiles chimed in. "Like, really going."

"Who?"

"I met them the other night. Let's just say they know how to party."

Pretty soon, the whole house was filled with drag queens and people for the gay club the other night, and they had invited people as well. Music was blaring and people were having fun. Lydia had obviously put something in the punch, because people were drinking it like crazy.

"Are you gonna apologize to Allison or what?" Kristie asked Scott, as they stood in a corner with Stiles.

"Why should I apologize?" Scott asked.

"Because you're the guy. It's, like, what we do." Stiles said.

"But I didn't do anything wrong."

"Then you should definitely apologize. See, any time a guy thinks he hasn't done anything wrong, it means he's definitely done something wrong." Kristie smirked.

"I'm not apologizing."

" Is that the full moon talking, buddy?" Stiles asked.

"Probably. Why do you care, anyway?"

"Because, Scott, something's gotta go right here. I mean, we're getting our asses royally kicked, if you haven't noticed. People are dying. I got my dad fired. You're gonna be held back in school. I'm in love with a nut job. Kristie is dating a guy who acts like he wants to kill me. And if on top of all that, I gotta watch you lose Allison to a stalker like Matt, I'm gonna stab myself in the face.

"Don't stab yourself in the face." Kristie said.

"Why not?"

"Because Jackson's here."

Stiles turned and the three watched as Jackson walked into the party, going straight to talk to Lydia. She handed him a glass of punch, which he drank as he stared the three down.

"Are you alright?" Lydia asked

, walking over to Kristie. She had been spending most of the party watching Jackson.

"No." Kristie said.

"Look, we were best friends and I wanna get back to that. Having said that, I know when you are lying."

"I just got a lot on my mind."

"Well, then loosen up. Have a drink." Lydia said and handed her a drink.

"I guess I will." Kristie said and took the drink. Let's just say, she took plenty more drinks.

Kristie walked around, having finished her third...or was it fourth drink. "Has anyone seen Scott?" she asked. No one paid attention to her as she asked. She almost tripped and fell in the pool, when someone caught her.

"Hold on there." A male voice said.

Kristie looked up and saw no one other then Derek. "What are you doing here? What about the full moon?"

"I needed to be with you. You're my anchor. You're the reason I can stay sane during the full moon."

Kristie smiled and kissed Derek, wrapping her arms around his neck. They continued to kiss until people started screaming and running. Kristie and Derek looked around when suddenly, Derek was grabbed from behind. Kristie was grabbed by two men, and saw who had attacked Derek. It was Gerard and Chris Argent.

"What are you doing here?" Kristie yelled. "Leave him alone!"

"We're doing what should have been done a long time ago." A female voice said. Kristie turned her head and saw Allison walk up to Derek. Derek face had now changed into his wolf form and he was growling and snapping at Allison.

"Allison, please don't do this! Please! I love him!"

"You love him?" Chris asked. "Look at this monster! You've seen what their kind has done. What makes you think he won't do it to you too!"

Gerard and Chris held tighter onto Derek, another hunter holding his head, baring his neck to Allison. Derek looked at Kristie with hurt and remorse in his eyes. "Please Allison!" Kristie yelled, try to fight her way over to Derek.

"This ends now." Allison said, lifting her knife to Derek's neck.

Kristie closed her eyes. "Please." She quietly mumbled. Suddenly, she heard Allison grunt and a large thud hit the ground. She gasped and opened her eyes.

Before her was the party. People were laughing and dancing and having fun. There was no sign of a dead Derek or the hunters anywhere. She looked down at her drink and threw it down on the ground.

"Are you alright?" Kristie looked up and saw Scott rush over to her.

"I am now. I had this weird hallucination."

"So it's not just the moon." Scott trailed off. "We need to find Lydia and Stiles. Now!"

Scott and Kristie searched the party for any sign of Stiles or Lydia. They finally found Stiles, sitting by the pool. "Stiles, you alright?" Kristie asked.

"I'm a terrible son." Stiles mumbled. Kristie looked around for a water bottle.

"Stiles, look at me. Drink the water." Scott said.

"Stiles, drink it." Kristie ordered. "Something's happening, and we need you to sober up right now. Come on, Stiles."

"What do you think you are doing?" A girl Kristie knew by the name of Danielle, asked. "You want to sober him up fast, that's not the way to do it."

"You can do better?" Kristie asked.

"I can do best, girl." Danielle grabbed Stiles by his shirt and dunked his head in the pool. She lifted him up and Stiles had snapped out of whatever trance he was in. "Whoa! How do you feel?" Danielle asked him.

"Like I might have to revisit my policy on hitting a girl." Stiles said, spitting out water.

"He's sober."

"We need to find Allison, and Lydia." Kristie said.

The three spread out to look for the two girls as the party got wilder and wilder. They met up again. "Hey, I can't find them." Stiles said. "And, dude, anyone who drank that crap, they're freaking out." People started jumping into the pool.

"We can see that." Scott said.

"What the hell do we do?" Kristie asked.

"I don't know, but we gotta –" Suddenly, Scott was interrupted by a yell for help. "I can't swim!" Matt yelled. "No, no, no, no, stop, guys! I can't swim! I can't swim! I can't - I can't –" And he was cut off as the group of guys threw him in the pool. Matt struggled to stay above the water until Jackson ran over and pulled him out. "What are you looking at?" Matt asked.

Matt and Jackson left and the sound of sirens were heard in the distance. "Cops are here!" Someone shouted.

Everyone began to run, leaving the house. Scott and Kristie ran out, losing Stiles in the crowd. They began looking around for him when they spotted Matt just outside the crowd. He looked pissed. The crowd cleared and that's when they saw him.

The Kanima wrapped his tall around Matt's leg. That was is it and they disappeared. They couldn't believe it.

Matt was the master.

So sorry this took so long! I have been so busy with the holidays and everything with school and finals. Sorry this isn't very Kristie/Derek centered, but you do have that little hallucination to hold you over. Be on the look out for another episode soon, either later tonight or tomorrow. I hope you enjoy this episode and read and review!
