Vivian
While Loren was sleeping and Nicholas was enjoying his video games, Lawrence and Carly were snuggling in the hot tub and sipping sweet red wine. "This is a good vintage," Carly commented. "You always pick the best."
"Only the best for the woman I love," he said with a dashing smile.
"Awww, the hot water is so relaxing. I feel like I am floating on a cloud," she said after she had a small sip of the wine.
"I agree. I could stay in here with you forever," Lawrence stated as he kissed her neck. His kisses were slow and tender.
She giggled. "If we stay in too long, we'll prune."
"You'll be the most beautiful prune ever," he chuckled.
"Ohhh how I love you, Lawrence,' she said as she snuggled up against his chest.
"I love you, too, Katerina," he said as he put their wine glasses aside. He gazed into her eyes as his lips lowered onto hers.
He kissed her with so much passion that she was breathless. She finally had to break away from his hungry kiss. "We should have brought a nanny on this trip," she said as she thought of their children in the other room. "Nicky could walk in at any moment."
"He'd get the shock of his life," Lawrence said with a smirk.
"I know he said he's becoming a man, but I want him to stay our little boy as long as possible. It makes me so sad when I think of how much time Vivian stole from us when we could have been with our son."
He winced at the mention of his demented aunt's name. "I hope they keep her in that insane asylum for many years to come."
"I still fear what could happen if she ever gets out," Carly said with sorrow-filled eyes.
"Don't worry, Katerina. We are together and I am going to keep you and our children happy and safe."
She wrapped her arms around him as she held him tight. "I never want to lose you again," she said as her voice broke.
He looked into her sapphire eyes and saw they were glassy with tears. "Awww, Katerina, we won't ever be apart again. I swear it."
"I really want to believe you, Lawrence, I do... but..."
"Nothing will happen to steal our happiness. We DESERVE to be happy and you know it."
"Yes, we do," she said softly. "But I thought before that nothing could ever separate me from you, but well... we both know what happened."
"Vivian happened."
"Ohhh how I hate her."
"The feeling is mutual," he stated. "But let's not talk of that evil woman who stole so much from us. Let's just enjoy our time together... and the peace we have before the baby cries or Nicky walks in."
He tenderly kissed her tears away and eventually Carly was soothed. "I won't let the past takethis from us now," she said bravely. "I am going to believe in us... and what we have together."
Lawrence smiled with so much love. "And we have so much to make up for. Why don't we get started?"
"Yes, we should," she said as she raised her lips up to his.
