I've been in college for a little over two months now. Me being a girl, I've noticed is how guys will try anything to get you into bed with them. Ladies, if a guy that you've never met before asks you to have sex with him, you have the right to say no. Chapter 14: No One Drinks For Free

Artemis' POV

I was putting the final touches on my English paper when my roommate, Chandler entered our dorm room.

"Artemis, are you still doing homework?" she asked.

"Yeah. I'm almost finished though. I only have to submit this paper and I'm done for the night." I replied as she started rummaging through her closet.

"Great… You should come out with us tonight." Chandler suggested.

"I don't know… I think I'm going to hit the gym-"

"You run every morning and hit the gym every night… Come on. Do something fun for once."

"I don't know."

"Just one night… One . Night."

Roy's POV

"Why are we here again?" Jason whined as we dropped our gear into the hotel room.

"Artemis goes to college here and I haven't seen her since she graduated… Besides, I promised Dinah I'd check on her." I replied as he rolled his eyes.

"Whatever man… Where the hell did Kory go?"

"I think she went to have sex with that guy she met downstairs." I shrugged.

"Oh… Go check on your sister so we can get the hell outa here… I'll be at the bar."

Artemis' POV

"Chandler, this is a bar." I whispered as she rolled her eyes.

"Don't worry. They'll let us in at eighteen… We just have someone buy our drinks for us."

"But-"

"Relax, Artemis. You'll be fine."

Roy's POV

Where the hell could she be? It's ten at night. She should be in her room… Maybe she's out with friends… She has friends right?

My thoughts were interrupted as my phone rang.

"What?" I growled, answering Jason's call.

"Did you find Artemis?"

"Not yet… Why?"

"There's some girl that looks exactly like her at The Gin… She's drunk off her ass by the way."

Artemis' POV

"Just try it." Chandler ordered as she pushed the vodka in front of me.

"I don't know."

"Come on, Artemis. You're in collage now."

"But-"

"I'm on my second one and I'm fine."

"Yeah but-"

"Just drink it!"

"Fine!" I replied before taking a sip of the drink.

It burned as it slid down my throat. I coughed as she snorted with laughter.

"That's probably a little strong for you… Here. It's coke with rum in it." she stated as she pushed it in front of me.

"It's really sweet… I kinda like it." I replied as I sipped on the drink.

"Would you like to dance?" a random guy asked after he approached our table.

"She'd love to!" Chandler shouted as I shot her a glare before the guy offered me his hand.

I reluctantly took his hand as he pulled me onto the dance floor.

"I'm Brad. What's your name gorgeous?"

"Artemis."

"Beautiful name." he smiled.

"Thanks."

After the song ended, I headed back to our table and found Chandler missing. I scanned the dance floor and found her dancing with some guy. I picked up my drink and took a sip as another guy approached me. I finished the drink as he asked me to dance. His name is Joshua.

As the song ended he asked, "Can I buy you another drink?"

"Sure." I replied, only to have my vision blur seconds later.

"I don't feel so good." I murmured as I suddenly felt like throwing up.

"You just need to lay down for a minute… Come on." he insisted as he took my hand and practically dragged me towards a door in the back of the bar.

He pushed me onto a couch as I felt my heart rate beginning to slow. My eyes felt heavy as I struggled to breathe through my mouth… Am I drunk?

I could feel drool dripping down the side of my face as I stared at him with an open mouth. His hands began roaming over body as I felt what little strength I had leave my body. I could only watch as he began removing my shirt.

Roy's POV

"What do you mean you lost her!" I yelled.

"There's a lot of blondes in here, Roy!" Jason yelled back.

"Find her! Check the dance floor and all of the booths… I'll check the back." I ordered as we split up.

Soon I was standing in front of a locked door. I glanced around before picking the lock. I slipped inside. The door swung shut behind me as I found Artemis lying on a couch with some asshole trying to take her clothes off.

He never even had the chance to say a word before he found himself slammed into a wall with my knife at his throat.

"What. Do. You Think. You're. Doing." I hissed as his eyes widened.

'N-nothing."

"Did you touch her?"

"N-not y-yet-"

"What did you give her?"

"GHB… If you want to go first-" he began before I ran the blade across his throat, taking pleasure as my knife became stained with crimson.

He dropped to the floor choking on his own blood as I took my jacket off and wrapped it around Artemis.

"You're gonna be okay." I whispered as her head lulled against my shoulder.

Artemis' POV

Opening my eyes, the first thing I see is a tattoo… Roy? I'm lying in a bed and he's in a chair beside me.

"What are you doing here? Where are we? What happened?"

"I came to see you. We're at a hotel… You tell me." he replied, leaning back in his chair.

"I don't remember."

"What do you remember?" he asked.

"I was at-" I began before breaking off.

"I already know you were at a bar."

I sighed before continuing, "I was drinking and I danced with a few guys and that's it… I remember nothing else."

"Artemis… You were drugged… I found you with a guy and-"

"W-what?" I whispered.

"You were given GHB… Did you leave your drink alone or did someone buy you one?"

"Both." I softly replied.

"Dammit Artemis! How could you be so stupid!" he yelled as I started to cry.

"I'm sorry!" I cried as I suddenly felt his arms around me.

"It's okay… You're safe now… Shhhh." He whispered as I sobbed.

"Did he-"

"No." he growled as I sniffled.

"Do Mom and Dad know?"

"Not yet."

"No! You can't tell-"

"Tell them what? That you were at a bar? That you were drinking? That you were drugged? That you were nearly raped?" He hissed, pulling back from me.

"You can't tell them!"

"You have to talk to them."

"I can't… They'll hate me. They'll make me come home. I'll have to leave college."

"They're not going to hate you." He replied, pushing his cellphone into my hand. "Call them or I will."

Roy's POV

"How is she?" Kory asked as I left her in the bedroom.

"She'll be okay." I muttered.

"I shall check on her." Kory replied as she headed for the bedroom.

"Did you tell Ollie and Dinah?" Jason asked.

"I made her tell them."

He nodded as I took a seat beside him.

"She'll be okay." he stated.

"How would you know?"

"Believe me, I know."

Artemis' POV

"Mom and Dad are coming to get me." I stated softly as Roy nodded.

"Artemis, it's probably for the best… Star City Community College is just as good as-"

"No. It's not."

"Could be worse you know."

"I know… Thank you."

He nodded as I moved to hug him.

"Are you going to stay until they get here?"

"Yeah… I'm here when you need me… Always."
