Hey guys i am back sort of. ok so this isn't a normal chapter for the story this is a world building experiment chapter that i thought i might as well write. one of my readers asked for a little extra before i go into school mode so boom here it is. anyway to answer a few questions 1) Harkov is still around and i have plans for him but it will be awhile before he shows up again but he will eventually join the main cast. 2) Yes i have seen the anime and i know that Doctor Miyafuji is good and working against the Neuroi; in this fic however he and ODESSA are basically Cerberus from Mass Effect they want to control the Neuroi for their own gain and use them to forcibly "evolve" mankind. Ichiro himself had something happen to him in my story... something that broke him and changed him from the man he used to be into something different. he is now a cold scientist who is willing to do just about anything to accomplish his goals even if that means going up against the witches to do so. 3) for FrostXPerrine verus FrostXHanna well you will see how that one is going to play out and as i have tried to establish Hanna at first just wanted to Fuck Frost now however she has started to develop genuine feelings for him. 4) this wasn't a question asked but i wanted to say this in regards to the Neuroi... what we have seen in the anime and their invasion of the witch's world thus far in canon is the equivalent of a small recon and raiding team scouting the area ahead for the main invasion. the actual Neuroi army is a much...much... MUCH deadlier threat and according to some of the things i told Bucue about them the Neuroi in the clocktower are basically an army of Nightmares made flesh and out for blood. anyway one last thing before i go on the Joint Strike Force are a direct reference to the JSF from End War and sadly yes there is a CIA unit that investigates biblical prophecies (your tax dollars at work America XD) anyway so yeah here is my little experiment chapter.

CIA Document #1

On the Subject of the Neuroi

The Neuroi are a race of machine like aliens of unknown origins. They appear to be hostile and rather warlike. Upon first learning of their existence from the witches of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing the Central Intelligence Agency has conducted a crash information campaign to discover whatever we can about the Neuroi. One of our most troubling discoveries came from our Allies in the Holy SEE's Inquisition. For the last fifty years the CIA has worked with the Vatican studying biblical prophecies to see if that have any relevance to today's world. When asked about the Neuroi Arch Bishop Dante with the permission of the Pope forwarded us a currently top secret document from the Vatican regarding a prophecy that at the dawn of the second millennia a "A Great war between the mightiest of Kingdoms will slate the thirst of Satan himself and a great tide of metal and fire will descent upon the world of the living." And that "Satan himself will lead his legions in one final war against mankind." Director John O. Brennan believes that the war with Russia might be the war that the prophecy spoke of. If this is the case it would imply that an invasion of Earth by the Neuroi is now imminent. Upon briefing POTUS of the impending threat he has authorized the "Winter Contingency" to be in effect. The following file will detail all available data regarding the Winter Contingency.

Winter Contingency

Our preparations for the arrival of the Neuroi are as follows.

1) Moving the United States to "Total War Status"

2) The activation of Operation Refrigerator

3) The activation of Operation Firebreak

4) The formation of the United States Joint Strike Force

5) Modernization of the human forces located in the other world

6) Seeking out any and all humans in this world who are capable of using magic

The following segments of this document will detail all six steps of the Winter Contingency and subsequent military doctrine that shall be employed during the upcoming war.

Total War

The Director has found it prudent that the United States use the current war against the Russian Federation as a cover for the rapid military buildup that we will need in order to fight off a potential Neuroi invasion. The President has contacted various defense contractors and placed orders for new military hardware that will be vital for the upcoming war. The list of equipment order goes as follows.

1) General Dynamics has been contacted by our representatives to scour the vehicle bone yards in the hopes of returning as many M1 Abrams tanks to active service as possible; and to subsequently upgrade them to modern M1A2 standards complete with TUSK kits. They currently believe that upwards of five hundred M1s can be returned to active service. They have also been contracted to upgrade all current M1 tanks in the U.S. Army and USMC's inventory to A2 standards. As of Yesterday the first of 10,000 new Abrams tanks rolled off of the assembly lines at the Lima Tank Factory. General Dynamics has also been ordered to continue to produce Stryker APCs and LAV-25s for our forces 25,000 vehicles have been ordered between both models. We have also contracted them to produce 1,000 new F-16V Fighting Falcons and to upgrade all existing F-16s to modern standards. Finally the prototype AA vehicle in development by General Dynamics has begun to roll of the production line and shall be referred to as AAV-1 (anti-aircraft vehicle 1)

2) Boeing has been contacted and we have placed orders for new F/A-18E/F Super Hornets. We asked the aircraft manufacturer to produce as many of the multirole fighter planes as possible and they believe by the end of 2017 400 aircraft should have been completed. Additionally we have ordered upwards of 300 F-15SE Silent Eagle semi-stealth strike fighters that shall be added to our arsenals shortly. Finally from Boeing we ordered 50 KC-46s tanker craft to support our air forces and 20 E-3 Sentry AWACS aircraft for command and control aircraft.

3) Lockheed Martin has been contacted and ordered to produce as many F-35A and Cs and possible and to build them as quickly as they can. Additionally they have been ordered to restart the F-22 production lines and to build as many fighters as humanly possible. They have been contracted to also build more C-130s that can be if needed converted to AC-130s in short order.

4) Rockwell has been contracted to begin production of the B-1R Lancer. The R variant of the Lancer is a regional bomber that can reach speeds in excess of Mach 2.2. 250 bombers have been ordered with the potential for more to be built.

5) Fairchild Republic has been ordered to produce more A-10Cs Thunderbolts to help support ground forces. The low cost and the relative simplicity of construction means that they can be produced in large quantities and the pilots do not need to be as skilled as pilots of more modern aircraft. Current plans are to forward plans and technologies to the other world's analogue of America (The United States of Liberion) and equip their air forces with this attack aircraft.

6) Various defense contractors have been contacted to produce more M109A7 PIM Paladins and M270A1 MLRS to provide indirect fire support for ground forces. BAE has been contacted to produce more M777s for ground support.

7) Colt has been contacted to produce more M4A1 and M16 rifles for our ground troops along with other weapon systems necessary for our infantry. FN USA is working triple shifts to crank out SCAR-L/H and P90s for ground troops. Other fire arm manufactures have been contacted as well to produce more firearms for our forces. Additionally the FGM-196 Lance has been ordered into full production.

8) Armament companies have been ordered to produce any and all types of ammunition necessary for our forces. From tank shells to rifle rounds and everything in between. Currently Raytheon has had problems producing sufficient quantities of AMRAAMs at their current facilities so production has been subcontracted to smaller companies.

9) All three Gerald R. Ford class aircraft carriers are under production now and shall be equipped with Metal Storm CIWS and Evolved Sea Sparrow missiles. The Zumwalt class destroyers are currently under production and will be ready shortly. Alongside these ships more Arleigh Burke Class destroyers are under construction to bulk out our fleets. The Valley Forge class anti-aircraft stealth destroyers are also now under construction with 10 ships planned. The USS Obama and her sister ship the USS Titan Fast Attack Carriers have been approved for construction and shall be equipped with Metal Storm and TLS (tactical laser system) CIWS for protection. Finally a new ship design has been submitted to us that have been approved. The Sentinel class Battleship; this is a stealthy modern day battleship design equipped with six Metal Storm CIWS, up to 500 missiles (ranging from the new Jackhammer plasma missiles to Evolved Sea Sparrows) along with an experimental particle cannon located on the bow of the ship. 4 ships have been planned and the first example shall be ready by 2018.

10) Various helicopter manufacturers have been contacted to produce helicopters such as the Apache and Viper gunships as well as V-22s, Blackhawks, and Venoms

11) As part of a total war policy gasoline rations will begin by the end of the week and strategic resources are being repossessed by the government.

12) The ODIN Kinetic Energy Munitions have been constructed and the first ODIN satellite will be launch by the end of the week. ODIN control is to be located at the Goddard Space Center. Alongside ODIN a network of Orbital Particle Cannons (OPC) are to be launched alongside ODIN; these satellites shall be controlled by a series of smaller uplinks spread throughout the country. Finally our space forces shall be centered around the USS Freedom Star a permanent orbital space station that can deploy three companies of marines anywhere in the world in 90mins.

13) Lastly the president has authorized the use of nuclear weapons if the situation with the Neuroi turns dire. Squadrons of the new B-3 Aurora hypersonic bombers have been activated and their pilots trained with the use of nuclear weapons; they will be on standby 24/7 ready to respond at a moment's notice.

Defensive doctrine: Our current military strategy for the defense of the homeland revolves around using the Great Wall of America as a forward fortified position along with the string of fortresses located in the south west to hold defensive positions and prevent the Neuroi from crossing into our country. Regular military units will be tasked with holding these positions while Tier 1 units take the fight to the Neuroi and launch attacks on any hives that are located in the western hemisphere. If the forward positions at the wall fall; the military will fall back to the "Liberty Line" located 100kms further into the country from the border. A series of fortresses, dug in positions and kill zones will be left to guard the rest of the nation. If the Liberty Line falls the U.S. and its civilian population will retreat to the "Freedom Defense Corridor" located in the Rocky Mountains a series of fortresses and defensive positions will be established and held. If those fall the western hemisphere falls as no one will be left to defend this continent from the Neuroi's onslaught. After a war of attrition is fought against the Neuroi we plan on counter attacking and pushing them out of this world. Once we have accomplished this we will dispatch an expeditionary unit to the other world to assist human forces in their world against the Neuroi.

Operation Refrigerator

Operation Refrigerator has been activated by the POTUS so far here are the current list of equipment we have managed to salvage.

1) 90 F-14D Super Tomcat fighter planes along with over 500 AIM-54s

2) 253 F-4J/E/Gs Phantoms

3) 100 A-4 Skyhawks

4) 70 A-6 Intruder bombers

5) 137 B-52 Stratofortress bombers that are in the process of being upgraded to H standards

6) 400 F-111s 200 ground attack variants and 200 EF-111 Raven ECM planes

7) 250 A-7 Corsair 2 attack planes split between the E and D variant

8) 7,000 M60A3 Patton tanks

9) 9,576 M113 APCs currently being upgraded to the A3 variant

10) 4,875 artillery guns of carious calibers

11) 20,000 M14 rifles

12) 1,000 M72 LAW rocket launchers.

13) 2 Kittyhawk class Aircraft carriers

14) 4 Iowa Class Battleships

15) 4 Ticonderoga class cruisers

16) 267 AH-1G Cobra attack helicopters with TOW missiles

17) 1,908 UH-1A Huey helicopters

We will attempt to modernize as much of these weapon systems as possible in the immediate future.

Operation Firebreak

A list of names has been drawn up from all who have signed the selective service forms. A total of 5,768,952 soldiers should be trained and ready for combat by the start of next year. By the end of 2017 an additional 20,898,432 soldiers should be added to our forces by the year 2020 our forces should stand at around 40,000,000 active military personal not counting causalities sustained during combat operations. Current government plans also call for raiding various gun stores and big box stores and using the Homeland Security Act to seize all automatic weapons currently available on the market. We plan on giving some of these weapons to the militaries of the other world to see if they can reverse engineer the weapons and reproduce their own versions to reequip their forces with. We have currently tested an AK-47 re-chambered to fire the 30.06 round and it is functional so we intend to give the designs to the Liberions we will be testing a version re-chambered to fire the British .303 round in the near future.

The creation of the Joint Strike Force

With the Neuroi threat on the horizon the pentagon decided that they needed a force specialized to fight this new threat. The Joint Strike Force will consist of soldiers from Tier 1 units from every branch of the military. Delta Force, Navy SEALs, Green Berets, Rangers, Marine Force Recon, Air Force Para rescue men and EOD specialist will make up the infantry for this branch of the military; while veteran vehicle commanders will take control of the JSF's vehicle component. The Joint Strike Force will be equipped with the latest weapons and vehicles for their missions. They will be flown in via UH-80 Ghost Hawks, V-44 Condor VTOL craft, AV-44 Vulture VTOL Warships, and VC-1 Atlas VTOL heavy transports which will carry tanks and IFVs into battle. For ground vehicles they will be equipped with the new M5A2 Schwarzkopf tanks; these tanks will be built with the new Nano-Composite armor that we have developed. This armor is lighter and stronger than anything else we have ever used before and in theory should stand up to medium laser fire. The JSF will also be equipped with LAV-52s and the new M118 Fastback IFVs which were a result of the GCV IFV; these IFVs are treaded and built with a thinner amount of Nano-Composite armor and equipped with a rapid fire 30mm rail-gun and a three barreled anti-tank missile launcher. The hull is surrounded by six point defense laser systems to destroy incoming missiles and it uses a coax BMG and roof mounted remote controlled grenade launcher for defense. For indirect fire support the new M320 Spartan Artillery Vehicles will be given to the JSF; these air mobile SPGs were designed using data from the Crusader program and are equipped with a rapid fire 155mm gun capable of firing 6 shots a minute and some are equipped with two four barreled 227mm rocket launchers for increased firepower. Four close air support AH-72 Specter stealth attack helicopters will be given to them along with F-35Bs. Finally for a command vehicle the CA-1 Archon command vehicles which can launch UAVs and act as a mobile command center for troops in the field.

We will discuss JSF unit formations in a later document.

Modernization of the Other World

Despite the obsolesce technology we cannot underestimate the military capabilities of the other world's military forces. These soldiers have been fighting the Neuroi for the last six years in their world and that experience is invaluable. The CIA's current plan is to attempt to modernize and reequip the alternate world's forces so they stand a chance on the modern battlefield. We have contacted a number of former WW2 personnel and asked them about various military hardware from their era and who they could be improved. We have so far come up with a few designs that we think will be beneficial to their war effort. The first is a modernized Sherman tank; our plan is to up-gun the tank with a 90mm main gun and give it thermal sights and a laser range finder for accuracy. We then plan to add a better engine and a primitive gun stabilizer for improved mobility; finally we plan to add slat armor to the front and sides of the tank and a gun shield for the commander's fifty cal. We have also planned on upgrading the Panther tank with a five round auto loader for semi-automatic fire along with a stabilizer and thermal sight with a laser range finder. We also want to improve the engine reliability and equip cage armor to all sides of the tank. We plan on upgrading various WW2 ear ships with modern radars for improved detection abilities and to give them both Phalanx CIWS and Sea Sparrow missiles for improved air defense. More on our plans for the alternate world's navy will be presented shortly. We also will try and modernize some of the other world's piston engine fighter planes liked the Spitfire and P-51 we have new engine specs developed for improved range and speed for both fighters.

Our overall goal with this phase of the Winter Contingency is to give soldiers in their world a fighting chance against the Neuroi and we believe with the various modifications to their weapons and reequipping their forces with "modern" small arms they will have a fighting chance.

Witches

We cannot overlook the possibility that there may be witches in our world who have yet to awaken their power. According to the Vorkuta Data as many as 2% of the female population in our world could be potential witches if Eila's story about the numbers is to be believe. Our current plan is to find any and all magic users in our world (if there is any) and recruit them for our fight against the Neuroi. We may be pushing the bounds on what is ethical here but I believe that unfortunately it is necessary for our survival as a species.

Closing

Ok so yeah there was my little experiment chapter for you. I hope this little bit of world building was enjoyable to read and if people like this I may add more of these kind of chapters in. I actually plan on having one be about all of the confirmed Neuroi types encountered in the story next so i hope people like this since that will be a really interesting chapter to write. anyway so yeah i will try and upload the next real chapter as soon as i can but i see lots of school and shit in my future so no promises either way i will upload at least 1 chapter in December. anyways so plz r/r and tell me your thoughts on this type of chapter because i am curious to know
