Chapter 7. 2016 –part 3 just after Alec & Jace's parabatai rune was healed.

Agatha had made Alec be confined to his bed until she was certain his strength was at it fullest, even if this meant them arguing about him not going to visit Jace. Agatha sat on Alec's bed on top of the covers and rested her head on his shoulder. Alec was less than impressed with her and continuously disobeyed her.

"Okay fine, but only if you do what I tell you to do," Agatha sighed, wrapping her arms around him and kissing the top of his forehead as Magnus walked into the room.

"Why are you insisting on bed rest anyway?" Alec questioned, he had felt fine if a little bit weak but fine none the less.

"Because, you were nearly dead! That's why," Agatha exclaimed as Alec looked to Magnus as if to say help.

"That's not a reason for me to be on bed-rest!" Alec retorted earning a glare from both Magnus and Agatha.

"Excuse me, but yes it is," Magnus interjected, he just wanted the best for the man that he had fallen in love with.

"I've known you since you were two years old Alexander, just stay in bed for today please?" Agatha sighed exasperatedly, sometimes there was no arguing with the stubborn boy.

Alec grumbled before reluctantly laying down and grabbing hold of Agatha's hand and temporarily pushing Magnus from his bed. Agatha shrugged at her older brother, who took it as a sign that the two best-friends had some talking to. Magnus looked at Alec, before leaning over and kissing him telling him that he would see him later. The second that Magnus walked out the door leaving them alone Agatha spoke.

"Alec, it will all be okay you know that don't you?" Agatha questioned, sliding down on the bed with him as he gave her a hug. "Remember the first date we had?" Agatha laughed she was having visions of Isabelle helping her get ready.

"You mean the date we had sitting awkwardly in Central Park?" Alec laughed, he remembered it by the time they had gotten there they were both questioning what they were doing.

"That's the one," Agatha smirked, putting her head on his shoulder. "What do you remember the most about it?"

"That Jace was helping me get ready by watching me pace the room...not helping at all really," Alec yawned, stretching his neck and shoulders at the same time accidentally causing her to jolt.

"What else do you remember? Oh and I just remembered the first thing you said to me about Magnus," Agatha laughed, his reaction to Magnus had been priceless – at least to her.

"The date was over almost as quick as it started I know that," Alec answered, looking at her and resting his head on her shoulder. "Remind me, what did I say about Magnus?"

"You said and I quote. 'Magnus Bane! Are you crazy?' Only you just about yelled it...it was the day I left..." Agatha paused before she continued. "Okay, so technically the first time I told you about Magnus I showed you him. The first time you were more concerned for Jace and Iz then about us,"

Alec smiled slightly at her, he hated that she remembered the first fight they had. It was the one that caused her to run on his sixteenth birthday. Closing his eyes he shuffled his head back on the pillow slightly before he started talking again.

"You know...I told you that you couldn't always run to Magnus and here I am years later doing the same thing..." Alec told her as he had just realised that. "I'm sorry Aggie, I really am," Alec opened his eyes to look her in the eyes, a sad smile playing on his lips.

"I know, I'm sorry too Alexander," Agatha smiled at him as she sent a small purple spark up into the room. "Also, this, this always makes us feel better have you noticed?"

"I just didn't realise what he'd mean to me," Alec said before his eyes settled on the purple sparks being sent to the ceiling. "How did you even work it out to start with?"

"We were kids, I think it was just after Jace and I came to live at the Institute or it could have been before that," Agatha said sending another spark up to the ceiling before intertwining their fingers and hugging him tightly. "You will forever be my best-friend Alexander Lightwood,"
