When Finn woke up, he found that he was alone in bed. He should have known, since he actually had some of the blankets for once. Rachel was quite the blanket hog, but she was also big on cuddling, so it worked out.

He could smell coffee coming from the kitchen, so he was assuming that Rachel had been awake for a little bit. So Finn rolled out of bed and pulled on his boxers and a pair of shorts. He saw that his shirt was missing, so he just headed into the kitchen.

Finn found where his missing t-shirt was: Rachel was wearing it. She was standing at the stove, scrambling some eggs while she hummed a song under her breath. Her hair was tangled and hanging around her shoulders, and Finn thought that she had never looked more beautiful.

They had been dating for almost five months at this point, and they had done overnight thing plenty of times. Finn leaned against the doorframe and just watched his girlfriend for a few moments, a smile playing on his lips.

He knew that when he had met her at her high school graduation that he had really liked her. Over the year that passed, Finn had been busy with basketball and school work and he knew that Rachel had been just as busy. She had quickly made a name for herself at NYADA, and she had worked hard for it.

But at the beginning of her sophomore year, Finn had decided that he was going to take that next step and ask her out. Of course, Puck had basically insisted on it while at the same time threatening to kick Finn's ass if he did anything to hurt his baby cousin. Whatever the case was, Finn was glad that he had ended up asking Rachel out. The past five months had been the best of his life.

Rachel seemed to realize that someone was watching her, and she turned the stove off before she turned around to look over her shoulder. She smiled when she saw that her boyfriend was watching her.

"What are you up to?" Rachel asked teasingly.

Finn gave Rachel that half smile, and then the words just slipped out of his mouth. "I love you."

Rachel's mouth dropped open and the spatula fell from her limp hand. She stared at Finn for several long moments, trying to make sure that she had heard him correctly. When all Finn did was smile at her in return, Rachel felt a warmth spread through her heart.

"I love you too," Rachel said before she threw herself into Finn's arms.

Laughing, Finn caught Rachel around the waist and lifted her up into his arms, accepting the kisses she was pressing all over his face. Rachel wrapped her legs around his waist and placed a final kiss against Finn's lips.

"I love you," she repeated.

Finn chuckled and tightened his arms around her. "What do you say we go celebrate?" he suggested with a waggle of his eyebrows.

Rachel giggled and gave him a seductive smile. "I'd say that you're about to get pretty lucky, Finn Hudson."
