GOD DAMN. WHAT IS WITH ME!? I'm so sorry everybody, I'm lazy. Ugh. But, another average of 1000 words added to each chapter! That oughta give you guys mixed feelings about my late chapters eh? And now, time for a dramatic change in scene! By the way, I have recently discovered a new site dedicated to any kind of writing, even some FanFiction: , and I'll be putting up some random non fanfid stories. Sometime soon, I think I'll start working on it after this chapter. Enjoy!

(Lisanna's POV)

The Rabbit-bear was thudded sideways, by some sort of ferocious beast— oh. It was Natsu. Rolling, Natsu negated most of the damage, but the creature was not so easily defeated. Using it's large padding feet, it guided it's decent back to the ground so well, it was almost graceful.

"Chickshou, I knew that wouldn't work. C'mon!" Lisanna found herself being yanked along with this wild child, and she was unable to say anything. Worry lines creased Natsu's face, and Lisanna could see the genuine effort he was making to make sure she didn't die.

"He'll be here any second…" Then he shoved her into the tree cave. Lisanna fell onto her bottom, about to yell a complaint until she saw how Natsu was bravely fending off the monster. She found herself silently cheering for her savior, and immediately chastened herself.

'He hurt Onee-chan! Urusenai! I cannot forgive him!" But even her determination wavered as Natsu took a couple of mean blows to the face. She could no longer bear it. No matter where or when, someone else was always protecting her. She resolved to change that. Before the Rabbit-bear could pounce, Lisanna grabbed the bowl of disgusting medicine she'd made for Natsu, and threw it at the mammal's nose. Bellowing, the Rabbit-bear tried to wipe off the horrendous stench that was assailing his nose.

While he was still distracted, Lisanna ran over to the fallen fire mage, and dragged him away as fast as she could. At best, she had a minute.

"C'mon," She grunted. "We gotta move." Groggily, Natsu obeyed, and he began to gain back some of the feeling in his neck.

Roar!

Oh no. Lisanna looked back worriedly, and Natsu noticed, weakly shoving her away.

"I… I got this…" Lisanna grabbed him again, trying to get him to keep walking, but he wouldn't budge.

"Run. I'll repay my debt… No matter what…" Lisanna felt her eyes becoming hot. Debt? He'd saved her from the rain, and now, from the bear. How was HE the one in debt? Even if he was a bad person, she couldn't just let him die!

"Yada! No!" Lisanna stubbornly refused, and this time, when Natsu tried to force her away, she took his hand, and made him look in her eyes.

"We'll do this together, only because, only you can get me home. Understand?" For some reason, Natsu was eager to squirm his hand away and agreeing quite readily.

"S-sure. Fine, whatever" Lisanna decided to pursue this later, but now that the moment was gone; she was beginning to wonder what she could do. But Natsu seemed to know.

"Look, you think you can distract that thing for couple minutes?" Lisanna mulled it over, slightly hesitant.

"Just a couple minutes right?" Natsu nodded, a grim smile on his face.

"Yup, and if you can, I'll finish him off. Just make sure to go to the river after a while! Now go!" Lisanna figured it was now or never, so she jumped, and made one of her favourite transformations.

"Animal Soul: Rabbit!" Growing in size, she was only able to summon the form of a purple and green rabbit the size of a dog with her limited magic power. Smashing a tree aside, the Rabbit-bear caught sight of the fast moving bunny, and bounced off, in hot fluffy pursuit.

(Natsu's POV)

"Whew" She was finally gone, this mysterious girl. When she'd grabbed his hand, his heart had jumped around in frenzy, and he'd been unable to see why. This was the first time he'd seen her up close and personal, with enough light to see how attractive the young girl really was.

'Didn't Tou-san mention something like this?' In fact he had, but being a Natsu, he had not only not really understood much, he also hadn't really cared. But the bits and pieces he could remember were something about Dragons being able to tell… something. Damn, it was at the tip of his tongue.

"It's a natural reaction," Natsu repeated his father's words to himself. "You'll know…" Well, that made no sense to him then, and it still didn't now. A loud snap and yelling filled his ears, reminding him where he was and of the task he'd been entrusted with.

"Remember son, I will always teach you something I know you don't know, so you have to figure it yourself. It's part of growth" While Natsu agreed with him, he hated the fact that it was now that he needed to use the spell, when someone else's life was in his hands. But it didn't matter now, he should be thankful he knew this move at all. Concentrating on his stomach, the source of his fire, he began to breath in, then out. In then out, just like the first time he'd summoned magic.

His father, among numerous things, had explained what this spell was specially designed for. Or, at least, he tried to.

"Son, when there's a time for some reason you cannot attack with your flames, this is the spell you use. It doesn't have an official name yet, as I was the one who invented it. It's more for dragon slayers really, and I never used it much. What this spell does, is turns your fire into internal energy," When Natsu had that puzzled expression on his face, Igneel had sighed, and tried to dumb it down for him. "Inside your body kind of energy" Natsu's cloudy face lifted, as he finally understood. Igneel then proceeded to talk about how the spell itself operated. That's when Natsu's mind melted, and he'd just sat there staring, even when Igneel finished his lecture. But he'd gotten the basic message.

Magical energy, instead of shooting out in sparks, would broil inside of him, becoming stronger, feeding on his own magic in a sense. The purpose of the spell was to increase the physical abilities of the user, nothing external. But he didn't know if it would work as he wasn't able to ignite his fire earlier, and he'd never used this specific move before. But there was no time for any other option, and, as usual, his predicament was you succeeded or died.

He could feel the energy wavelength in his body, and made it focus in the stomach and the lungs, in his breath, and spread it out through the body. Then he breathed it to his arms, lungs, and legs, head, to every nook and cranny in his being. Then he brought it back, then repeated the cycle, over and over again, until the flow became stronger. Then he lost control of it, and it snapped around his insides, as if someone with a whip had lashed him from inside his body. He doubled over in pain, then attempted to try again, but the pain would not leave, staying there at the edge of his consciousness, annoying him and messing with his concentration.

"Damnit, I don't have time for this!" Natsu sat to cope with most of the pain, then he started his deep breaths again. Once more, he failed, and again, and again. The last time, he could barely settle into a sitting position.

'No, no, no, NO! I need to help her!' It occurred to him he didn't even know her name, and he stubbornly made it his goal to find out. Surprisingly, he found this helped him, and he thought all he could about her, and how he would ask her who she was, and where she came from. Right after he found out how she sealed away his powers. If it was permanent… And then, Natsu hiccupped.

He swore (He'd heard his father say these words when he was angry) and tried to focus, but the energy wouldn't budge. It just stayed in his stomach.

"I must have screwed it up!" Cursing himself, Natsu slammed his fist into the ground.—

Crunch

Natsu felt the Earth shift, and a hole about a meter deep was blasted into nothingness. The dragon slayer blinked. Did he just do that? Then he smiled dangerously.

'Time for some payback…'

(Lisanna's POV)

Hop, smash, hop, smash, hop, smash.

For every twist and turn Lisanna made to evade her attacker, the rabbit in turn put an extra bit of damage to one spot in the forest, and expertly knocked open a shortcut to its prey. The thing that scared the Strauss the most was not it's powerful strikes, but it's intelligence as to where to place the blows. It could guess the path she was about to take, and destroy accordingly to come ever closer to catching her.

But her newfound determination to not be a hindrance was not to be put out so easily. She found a thrill of adrenaline from the fact that she could now help others, instead of being dead weight.

"Come and catch me!" She yelled to the snorting animal. Another roar of frustration.

Crack

Disaster struck. She hit her ankle against a rock, which had escaped her notice when she called out her taunt.

'Crap!' She fell to her knees, clutching her foot. She moved her back to the ground, unwilling to let her doom face her with her back turned to it.

Before the rabbit-bear could even come close, Natsu ran at it. Lisanna screamed in protest, but he continued anyway. He had no magic, no spells, no help, nothing! How could he—?

Slam

Natsu kicked the rabbit into the ground, and a small crater was formed. Then he pummeled it to the floor, a rain of fists hailing it. Smoke steamed from the boy's fists, but he didn't look injured at all.

"Oi! Daijobu? Are you okay?" Still feeling shocked from how quickly the mage had ended it, Lisanna managed.

"Y-yeah. I guess so…" Natsu strode over to her, smiling and offering his hand. She made her lips curve up in response, and took his hand. Something wet and dark hit her eyes.

"EEEWWW!" Lisanna screamed. Wiping her eyes, she was about to smack him to next week, until she saw her hands. It wasn't spit. It was blood. Struggling to keep her composure, she looked from her hands to see Natsu on the ground, his hand to his mouth, retching for all he was worth.

"H-hey!" She crouched beside him, rubbing his back, trying to make it easier. Natsu shivered uncontrollably, and kept hurling.

"Grrr…" Lisanna froze, and stared at the rabbit-bear. It was getting up. There was a dent in its chest, blood also poured from its mouth, its growl had a slight gurgle, and there was a dying fire in its eyes that said no matter what, it would take the little boy down with him.

Time, seemed to slow down for Lisanna. Choices whizzed past in her head. Hide? Fight? Give up? No, what could SHE DO!?

"Run…" Natsu whispered. Valiantly, he tried to push her away, but just ended up leaning on her. Her heart clenched, then her mind hardened, and her soul lit.

"No" That was all she uttered. She laid the fire mage against the floor, and stood her ground against the beast. The rabbit-bear loomed over her, and bared its teeth.

"Don't. Get. In. My. Way" It seemed to growl. Lisanna shook her head, her ankle still throbbing.

She jumped with her good leg, and punched the bear. It didn't move, not bothering to knock away such a pathetic attack. That was it's mistake.

"Take Over: Capture Soul." A glowing light flashed, and erupted, blinding everything. But just before Natsu's vision eroded, he saw a purple black rune floating to Lisanna.

(Makarov's POV)

Streaking across the endless maze of trees, Makarov scanned the area. Even his senses could not find Lisanna, and this frustrated him.

'I must find my child!' As if the universe responded, there was a flash of bright light in the distance. He could tell Mirajane and Elfman had seen it too, and Mirajane grit her teeth.

"That's a Take-Over spell… But it's huge…" Twisting her body, she gracefully jumped, and landed in a crouching position, taking off again to the left. The two males followed, and dread crept over Mirajane.

(Natsu's POV)

Cough, cough, cough

"Hey! Are you okay?" Natsu had his hands in front of him, searching for body heat. He could smell in general she was in front of him, but his eyes were temporarily blinded. His foot caught on something, and he fell onto his face with a thud.

Reaching for whatever object he'd tripped over, he felt it was warm.

"Are you okay?" He repeated frantically. There was no answer, and when he leaned down for any sign of breath, he found none.

"No, no, NO!" He pushed on her chest, again and again, trying to force air back into her lungs. "C'mon! You can't die on me!" Time slurred, and he didn't know how long his effort to revive her had taken, but his face was wet, and his own breath was shallow.

"Damnit…"

Crack

Natsu's leg flared in pain, and despite not having his vision, outlines of red bursted in his eyes. Something grabbed his face, and pried his mouth open. Fear gripped his stomach, and he wriggled and struggled but the grip was too strong. It forced something, wriggling, alive, slimy, down his throat, and his Adams apple bobbed as Natsu swallowed the disgusting thing.

"Grk!" He cried. Again in a matter of minutes, his vision turned empty black and he lost control of his body.

(Mirajane's POV)

A dark energy made her shoulders shudder, and her mind was screaming at her body to go into her little brother's arms and hide.

"W-what? What was that?" She turned for reassurance to her master, and she stopped cold. The expression clawed on the guild masters face was nearly as bad as what she was feeling. "O-old man?"

"Wait here." Even Elfman furrowed his eyebrows.

"Why?" Makarov stamped his rod.

"DO IT!" Gulping, the Strauss siblings obeyed.

Makarov took off at thrice the speed they'd just been going, the wind sailing through his cloak.

"Good luck…"

(Makarov's POV)

'It couldn't be! No! Why!' Makarov's thoughts were a puddle of worry and impossibilities. 'It's impossible!'

Upon reaching the scene, he stared at a monster, made of what defined evil, sadness, grief, and it ate him whole.

Then the aura stopped attacking him, and he saw a little pink haired boy, black flames curling and steaming off his body.

"What has he done to you?" He mouthed. But there was no answer. Instead, a fist sailed in a deadly arc toward his face. Staving off doom with his staff, he deflected it to his side, and leaped back. Growing in size, he activated his Titan magic.

The boy jumped at him, this time aiming for his heart. Makarov swiped his hands, but the boy somersaulted and rolled over his knuckles. Wherever he touched left a purple bruise, so Makarov observed. Although his size was Titan, he was still as agile as when he was his original size. Bending over, he arched his back and let the boy sail over him. Then he clapped as hard and loud as he could, and the indirect impact slamming his assailant to a nearby tree.

"Ha!" The larger mage barked. But victory was not his, as the boy hopped too his feet, seemingly unfazed, and rushed to run straight up his pants. The cursed properties didn't seem to affect his clothes too much, so he focused on using his lower body to attack. Makarov rolled, squashing his opponent. Then he jumped up, and aimed his crash to the river, intent on making his opponent breathless.

But before he landed, suddenly, his trajectory off, and he found HE was the one being thrown.

Grunting as the impact with Earth pushed the air from his chest, Makarov made careful note not to do anything that involved physical contact for prolonged times.

But before he could get up, what little air he'd gathered was crushed out from him. The boy stood above his prey, and roared a cry of celebration. As predator, he'd satisfied his urges to hunt and kill, and now, it was time to feast.

Howling again, he bared his fangs.

WHAM.

A figure tackled the dark boy, knocking him off the giant.

"Master!" Makarov sculpted his voice to be angry, but the bit of gratefulness he felt came out as well.

"Damn brats! Told ya to stay there!"

"Forgive me, but I wasn't gonna sit around and let you die old man!"

"Watch out for his grip! If he touches your skin—"

"I know!" Makarov made the effort to let his spell go, and his titan size shrunk.

"And don't grab—"

"Yes mother!" Grunting, he made sure that she would pay for that remark later.

"Where's Elfman?"

"He was right behind me!" Makarov looked behind him, and gaped. He hadn't noticed earlier, because the boy had been so quick to strike, but he saw Lisanna lying limp on the ground. And Mirajane was kneeling beside her.

"No…" Mirajane let out a piercing scream, and she let the demon within her loose.

(Makarov's POV)

"NO!" Makarov reached for his daughter, but was repelled and burned by the waves of pain and hatred emanating from her soul.

'It feels like the boy's…' The other rogue mage turned to this new adversary, slamming his foot into the ground against this new threat.

"RAWR!" Taking the initiative, the boy charged, readying his fist and breath. But before he could inhale, Mirajane transformed into her demon state without but with a horrible screech. Then blasting off the ground, she roundhouse kicked the theif, and followed up with a series of punches. There were no visible effects, and he just kept getting back up again, and they began to dish it out. The mage blew streams of blazing bonfires, and unlike regular flames, for some reason this one flared uncontrollably and burned anything it touched, immediately turning everything to ashes.

(Natsu's POV)

He was fighting a demon. The damn woman moved so much faster than he did, and his fire never reached her. She moved strangely too, many times acting as if she didn't have certain bones in her body, such as her spine. There were many times when she maneuvered around his strikes, where she would land on her arms and feet, but with her chest facing up. Then she would flip over and sweep at him with her legs. It was… Frightening. Even in his enraged state, something told him to FEAR this woman.

But he ignored it, and pushed ahead. In response to her latest fist, he tried to catch her arms and throw her over his shoulder and pin her down. But instead HE was the one who found the sky becoming the floor and his body jarring from impact. He growled and spun around kicking and randomly, trying out his new move with the flames from his feet. It worked surprisingly well, and a new confidence surged through him, urging him to be more aggressive. He fired small bullets of flames in a wide area, his aim to make Mirajane flee into aerial combat. He hurled into the air after her ready for combat. Then his gut tugged at him. There was something wrong with this, but he couldn't remember what.

"Fire Dragon's Roar!" But as part of his now constant inspiration, he spiraled while doing so, and he was able to land a solid hit on his enemy. More confidence, filled with more ideas, and his attitude toward the battle rose and became enjoyable. He could do this!

'I am the strongest! I will defeat anyone in my way! I am invincible!'

"Fire Dragon's Roar!" He spit out a fireworks worth of spicy bullets, and let them fall. Weaving around them, Mirajane tried to get closer, but while she did that, he kicked a dozen times, and instead of keeping a small bit of fire on his legs, he elongated them, and they became whips.

"Fire Dragon's Whip!" Lashing out, he kept up an intense rhythm of pumps and wild curves, making sure Mirajane was kept at a distance. One carefully aimed flick of his legs caught her by the ankle, and feeling an excitement that bordered on euphoria, he slapped her around, destroying trees, knocking away boulders, and burning, BURNING! He hadn't had so much fun in years! Even when Mirajane tugged back on the line, jerking him to her face, and bounced him back and forth like a Yo-yo, he continued to laugh. He could faintly sense her laughing too.

(Mirajane's POV)

It was all just so… Ugh, she didn't even have the proper words to describe it. But she loved it. All the sensations tingling, telling her to go faster, hit harder, and fly higher. Pulling Natsu in close, she tried to sac him, but he caught her legs and used the momentum to flip over to her back, straightening his foot to snap at her neck, but she ducked, turned her shoulders, and caught his foot. Twisting back to her original position, her goal was to break his foot. But the other wizard was an agile little minx, and twisted with her, then lit his foot on fire. She let go, sucking in a breath. Her hands had burn marks, but she didn't give a damn at the moment. She was enjoying herself waaay too much. She set into a wide posture, with her chest facing her right, and her legs across form each other one in the front and the back, scrunching her arms together in a tight ball. An uncomfortable shift in atmosphere made the younger boy pause in what he was doing. She could see the hesitation in his face, but he shook it off, getting into his own stance. He crouched as if going to sprint forward in a 100-meter dash, and brought his hands together as well.

They stood there, waiting for the right—

"Fire Dragon's Fireball!"

"Soul Strike!"

A gaseous ball of fire formed in Natsu's hand, while Mirajane connected her hands by the wrists. Then they flinched, and instead of attacking each other, they turned to the sky and blocked the giant fists rocketing down onto them.

"ENOUGH!"

(Makarov's POV)

"Stop it, you brats!" Neither deigned to listen, and kept snarling ferociously. He had no idea what they were currently feeling, what kind of turmoil was being fought inside of them, but he would rest and watch no longer. Their veins were bloated, eyes glassy, their teeth seeming sharper, and snarls were yapped at each other with regularity. It was like Mirajane's demon form, but so much less contained. The pain in his hands became impossible to bite down, and he quickly clapped his hands together, his daughter and enemy inside. His Titan hands made a sound wave that vibrated the forest, causing animals to temporarily flee their homes. But just as fast, his hands were forced back apart, and now the attention of two zombie mages were on him. For some reason, they now worked together, as if they'd been buddies forever, working in unison, attacking his bare skin as much as possible. He could move as fast as he would at his original size, but even so, he was still huge, and was hit often, getting back very few return hits. Then using one of the simplest tricks in the book. As they were about to hit his face, they stopped gaped, and stared behind him. The reaction was so sudden and unorthodox, the guild master actually looked. That's how they knocked him over, his back to the Earth.

Makarov swore, and tried to head butt his way back up, but the boy used his own head to counter him. He didn't speak, but he kept up a continuous growl from the back of his throat, and pushed his foot down, drooling a bit. His fist became a black haze, and he speared it into Makarov's forehead. Howling, the intense heat was searing his brain, and he started to get really angry, uncharacteristically so. His sense of reason was slipping away, along with his calm state of mind.

But before he lost his sanity, a different brilliant stream of fiery breath smoldered both the pink haired boy and Mirajane. It was so pure, so dazzling, Makarov stared, reaching his hand out to touch it before his mind could tell him how bad an idea this was. But his mind didn't have to, as the fire was a tickling trickle, like a stream of water. The stream died down, and the sparkling residue popped. A deep growling came from behind the elder.

"Do you have any idea how many laws you've violated? DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'VE DONE!?" The voice belonged to a lava red dragon.

Strange… I think FanFiction has just started to use our stories for advertising… Ah well. Just know that I did not deliberately put those weird links there, it most likely says something about this in terms and condition, but too lazy to read! Happy New Year everyone!
