Disclaimer: I don't own anything. The song used in this chapter is "Don't Rain on My Parade," sung by Barbara Streisand.

Rachel waddled into the living room and eased her pregnant body onto the couch. Once she was comfortably seated, she let out a huff. Finn pressed his lips together in an effort to stop himself from smiling. The last thing he wanted to do was get her angry. It was late summer and Rachel was very pregnant and suffering from the constant heat waves in the city.

When Finn didn't say anything, Rachel huffed again. This time, she shot her husband a pointed look and sighed heavily for a third time. At least Finn was confident that she actually wanted his attention this time. He remembered an incident when he had tried to help her when she was sorting through some old music books. ("If I wanted your help, I would have asked for it, Finn!" She had only forgiven him when he brought home some frozen blueberries and peanut butter.)

Finn decided that he could risk a kiss. Leaning over, he pressed a quick, tender one to her lips and smiled when he saw how she relaxed slightly. "What's up, Rach?"

Rachel rested her hands on her seven-month pregnant belly. "I played classic rock, punk rock, modern hip hop, old school rap, and fifties swing music. Nothing is working yet! He's barely kicked as it is." Rachel sighed dramatically, causing the loose strands of hair hanging from her ponytail to flutter against her forehead.

Finn couldn't keep the grin off of his lips this time. Finally, Rachel was on board with finding a song that would make their fourth child kick. She was so intent on it, she refused to let Finn pick any of the songs.

Finn wrapped an arm around Rachel's shoulders and pulled her against him. She curled into his side, tucking her legs up onto the couch as best as she could. She felt like she was full to bursting already, so she could imagine that this baby boy was going to be as tall as Scott.

"Curse your giant genes," Rachel grumbled. She held her hand out, holding her open palm towards Finn. "Can I please see your phone?"

Finn was highly amused by his wife's behavior. He extracted his phone from his pocket, but before he handed it to her, he kissed her open palm. Rachel smiled sweetly at him in response. She opened the radio app on Finn's phone and scrolled through it until she found her desired station.

"Country music," Rachel announced as she set the phone on her round tummy. "Maybe this will get him to kick!"

Finn held back a laugh as a scowl formed on Rachel's face when the baby didn't immediately begin kicking with the first song. There was probably going to be at least another hour of country music before Rachel would finally give in and admit that she would have to pick another genre of music.

"I tried Latin dance music and that odd new-age tech pop. Nothing is working!" Rachel threw her hands up in the air and stalked to the other side of the kitchen. She pulled some blueberries out of the freezer and popped a few into her mouth.

"Thank God you stopped playing it," Kurt stated in a snarky voice. "I was getting a headache."

Finn picked up the phone and quickly scrolled to one of Rachel's favorite songs. She put it on before she could respond to Kurt's sass. The two of them had been in a bad attitude all day—Rachel because she still hadn't found the song to make the baby kick, and Kurt because she had refused to go shopping with him.

When Rachel heard the beginning chords of "Don't Rain on My Parade," she smiled and gestured for Finn to bend down so she could kiss him. Her round stomach pressed between them, and just as Finn touched his lips to Rachel, he felt a thump on his abdomen.

Both Finn and Rachel froze and stared down at her stomach. Then they felt it again. Rachel let out an excited squeal and grabbed the phone, holding the speaker up to the bump. She grabbed Finn's hand and pressed it to the round curve of her stomach, almost bouncing in her impatience. When there were a series of several kicks against Finn's hand, Rachel laughed and clapped her hands gleefully.

"Finally!" Rachel kissed Finn again, unable to hold back in her excitement. "I finally have my Broadway baby!"

So Rachel got her wish and has a baby that likes Broadway songs. :)
