Episode 280: Power Rangers SPD: Dogged
At the Delta Base, Sydney is looking for her stuffed elephant, Peanuts. RIC walks in with.
"You got drool all over him RIC" said Sydney
"Since when can a robot drool?" Jack asked
In New Tech City, an alien named Rhinx buys a potion from Piggy that turns humans into slime.
At the Delta Base, RIC leaks coolant all over Cruger.
"Weren't we going to retire him?" Cruger asked
"Its on the very long to-do list" said Kat "speaking of which, there have been an unusual number of disappearance cases lately"
"Put Cadet Drew on it" said Cruger
"Yes, Commander" said Kat and she sends Sydney to the city.
In the city, Sydney is on the Rhinx's tail, when RIC shows up.
"What are you doing here?" Sydney asked, but RIC just barked in response.
Elsewhere in the city Rhinx, turns a large group of people into slime.
At the Delta Base, alarms go off and the B-Squad rushes into the command center.
"Rangers" said Cruger "an alien is turning people into slime. Stop him"
"SPD EMERGENCY!" said Jack "SPD, B-SQUAD, RED RANGER 1!"
"SPD, B-SQUAD, BLUE RANGER 2!" said Sky
"SPD, B-SQUAD, GREEN RANGER 3!" said Bridge
"SPD, B-SQUAD, YELLOW RANGER 4!" said Z and they race to the city to fight Rhinx
Elsewhere, Sydney is about to find where Rhinx hid the slime when she is attacked by Krybots. She destroys a few, but one tries to shoot her, but RIC takes the blast. She destroys the final Krybot and then takes RIC back to the Delta Base.
At the Delta Base, Sydney meets the rest of the B-Squad, who returned from fighting Rhinx after he retreated
"What happened to RIC?" Bridge asked
"He took a hit for me" said Sydney "how long is it going to take to fix him?"
"We're not going to fix him" said Kat
"What? Why?" Sydney asked
"He was scheduled for retirement anyway" said Kat "and I just don't have the time to repair him" she turns to a lab tech "take him away" and the lab tech puts RIC on a cart and hauls him away. Sydney follows
"I'll take him off your hands" said Sydney
"But Dr. Manx told me to toss him" said the lab tech
"Are you questioning a superior?" Sydney asked
"No ma'am" said the lab tech and he leaves. Sydney grabs Bridge and goes to Boom's lab.
"Can you two fix him?" Sydney asked
"Sure" said Bridge "it'll be fun"
"Thank you so much" said Sydney and she leaves them to repair and upgrade RIC.
On Grumm's ship, Grumm talks to Rhinx and agrees to back his plan
At the Delta Base, the B-Squad, Cruger, Kat, and Boom are gathered in the command center with RIC
"I present to you RIC 2.0" said Bridge "Boom and I repaired him and upgraded him to meets SPD's standards.
"Let's see how he works" said Sydney "RIC, can you find the missing people?" RIC activates and then rushes out of the command center, smashing through the door. Cruger growls as the B-Squad chases after him. They follow him to an empty lot and he begins to dig up the ground
"I think he needs more work Bridge" said Sky
"Maybe you're right" said Bridge
"Let's go guys" said Jack
"I'm going to help RIC" said Sydney and she grabs a shovel from the jeep and helps RIC dig.
"Suit yourself" said Jack. After everyone had left Sydney find the entrance to an underground bunker with a bunch of slime. She climbs out of the hole and is greeted by Rhinx.
"SPD EMERGENCY!" said Sydney "SPD, B-SQUAD, PINK RANGER 5! DeltaMax Striker" and she fights Rhinx, but loses badly. RIC helps her out. The other Rangers show up.
"RIC has one more new trick" said Bridge and he tosses RIC a bone "CANINE CANNON!"
"JUDGEMENT TIME!" said Sydney "you are charged with turning people into slime." and the Delta Morpher shows guilty "FIRE!" and the blast contains Rhinx. The slime turns back into people.
"Power Down" said Jack and they demorph.
"Thanks for the help RIC" said Sydney as she pets him "good boy"
Back at the Delta Base, Cruger welcomes RIC back into SPD when RIC leaks coolant back on him.
