Episode 297: Power Rangers SPD: Reflections: Part I
In Kat's lab, Kat and Boom are finishing the repairs and upgrade of RIC, the Omega Morpher is also laying on the table.
"How's RIC coming along ?" Cruger asked walking in when RIC's head flies off
"We're still working out some kinks" said Kat
"I can see that" said Cruger as he returns to the command center
In New Tech City, the B-Squad are playing frisbee when their Delta Morphers go off.
"Rangers" said Cruger "check out the disturbance in the Starto Quadrant"
"Yes Commander" said Sky and they race off where they see Rhinix
"Rhinix has escaped" said Syd
"But that shouldn't be possible" said Bridge
"SPD EMERGENCY!" said Jack "SPD, B-SQUAD, RED RANGER 1!"
"SPD, B-SQUAD, BLUE RANGER 2!" said Sky
"SPD, B-SQUAD, GREEN RANGER 3!" said Bridge
"SPD, B-SQUAD, YELLOW RANGER 4!" said Z
"SPD, B-SQUAD, PINK RANGER 5!" said Sydney
"Delta Blasters" said Jack
"DeltaMax Strikers" said Sky and they battle Rhinix, who runs off
"Hydrax" said Bridge as Hydrax appears "are you working with Rhinix?" Hydrax runs off without answering
"Bugglesworth" said Z as they ran into Bugglesworth, but he too runs off. The B-Squad can't find any of the aliens so they return to the Delta Base
In the Delta Base command center, Kat brings in three containment cards to the B-Squad and Cruger, followed by RIC
"The Containment Cards with the aliens you mentioned are all still here" said Kat
"How is this possible Kat?" Bridge asked
"I don't know" said Kat "In other news, I have finished upgrading RIC. Jack, I'll need your Morpher to upgrade it to be compatible with RIC's new technology"
"Here" said Jack and he hands her his Morpher
"You can upgrade mine next" said Sky as he holds out his Morpher
"I'm sorry Sky" said Kat "but the Battlizer technology is only compatible with Red Rangers"
"Oh" said Sky and he walks out, followed by Jack
"Sky" said Jack "you've got to get over not being the Red Ranger"
"I have" said Sky as they enter his room and Sky picks up a picture of him and his father "I just want to a hero just like my dad"
"Sky" said Jack "heroes come in all colors" Sky's Morpher goes off
"Cadet Tate" said Cruger "please report to the command center"
"On my way" said Sky "I've got to go" and he heads to the command center
In the command center, Sky walks in to meet Cruger and Kat
"Cadet Tate" said Cruger "I have a mission for you. I'm sending you to meet a criminal names Mirloc. He should have information about the aliens you encountered today. Be careful, Mirloc can escape through any reflective surfaces" Sky walks out
"Commander" said Kat "you know that Mirloc was…"
"I know" said Cruger as he cuts her off and she begins to walk out "where are you going?"
"I need to finish reassembling the Omega Morpher so Sam can have it when he arrives tomorrow" said Kat and she goes to her lab. She tinkers with the Omega Morpher for a minute and then summons RIC. She then goes over to a safe and opens it, pulling out what looks like a charred SPD badge.
At a maximum security prison on Gamma Orion, prison guards are covering up reflective surfaces with black tape as he puts on sunglasses. The guards take him to Mirloc
"How may I help you officer?" Mirloc asked
"I need some information about how criminals who are in prison can also be running around" said Sky
"I'll give you the information you need" said Mirloc "if you will add to my collection"
"Okay" said Sky "but no mirrors"
"No, no" said Mirloc "nothing like that. You are looking for a shapeshifter named Slate. All he needs is a strand of DNA from the someone and he can become them."
"If your information pans out, I'll be back to give you what you want" said Sky and he returns to the Delta Base.
In the Delta Base command center, Sky is debriefing the rest of the B-Squad, Cruger, and Kat when Bridge points out Sinuku is attacking
"Go Rangers" said Cruger
"SPD EMERGENCY!" said Jack "SPD, B-SQUAD, RED RANGER 1!"
"SPD, B-SQUAD, BLUE RANGER 2!" said Sky
"SPD, B-SQUAD, GREEN RANGER 3!" said Bridge
"SPD, B-SQUAD, YELLOW RANGER 4!" said Z
"SPD, B-SQUAD, PINK RANGER 5!" said Sydney and they take the Patrol Cycles and Delta Jeep to the battle
"Delta Blasters" said Jack
"DeltaMax Strikers" said Sky and they battle Sinuku, who then turns into Slate. They battle Slate who then turns into Devastation.
"Not him again" said Sydney
"We needed Sam last time" said Bridge
"Sam won't be back until tomorrow" said Z
"Jack, I think we should take it to the next level" said Sky
"SPD SWAT!" said Jack "SWAT, RED RANGER 1"
"SWAT, BLUE RANGER 2!" said Sky
"SWAT, GREEN RANGER 3!" said Bridge
"SWAT, YELLOW RANGER 4!" said Z
"SWAT, PINK RANGER 5!" said Sydney
"Delta Enforcers" said Jack and they blast Devastation, making him turn back to Slate, who jumps in a giant robot.
"Kat" said Jack "send the Delta Runners"
"They're on their way" said Kat. The Delta Base opens up and the Zords rush to the battle.
"RED DELTA RUNNER 1!" said Jack
"BLUE DELTA RUNNER 2!" said Sky
"GREEN DELTA RUNNER 3!" said Bridge
"YELLOW DELTA RUNNER 4!" said Z
"PINK DELTA RUNNER 5!" said Sydney
"DELTA SQUAD MEGAZORD!" said Jack and the Megazord was formed.
"5!" said Sydney
"4!" said Z
"3!" said Bridge
"2!" said Sky
"1!" said Jack
"FIRE!" said B-Squad and the blast destroyed the robot and Slate and the Rangers eject.
"Slate" said a voice and they turn to see Morgana "I've got something for you" and she gives him a piece of technology that he absorbs "now you become as many people at a time as you want" and Slate turns into Rhinix, Bugglesworth, Hydrax, Tomars, Sinuku, and Devastation and Morgana joins the fight.
At the Delta Base, Cruger and Kat are watching
"They need help" said Cruger
"I called for Sam" said Kat "but he won't be able to get here in time"
"I'm on my way" said Cruger taking out the Patrol Morpher
"Take RIC with you" said Kat "have Jack try out the Battlizer"
"SPD EMERGENCY!" said Cruger "DEFENDER OF THE GALAXY, SPD SHADOW RANGER 100! DELTA ATV! Let's go RIC!" and they race to the battle "Shadow Saber" but even with Cruger and SWAT, they can't gain an edge. Jack is knocked out of SWAT mode.
"Jack" said Cruger "try your Battlizer"
"SPD BATTLIZER!" said Jack and RIC opened up and released a red version of the Omega Morpher. He twists the throttle "CYBER MODE ACTIVATE!" and RIC releases armor that is placed on Jack's suit as well as giving him a laser sword. He knocks back the aliens and forces Morgana to retreat "BATTLIZER, SONIC MODE!" and RIC combines with him, creating powerful armor "BATTLIZER, MODE 2, COMPLETE!" hovering, he lets out a powerful slash of energy with his sword and the pulls out his Delta Morpher "JUDGEMENT TIME! You are charged with attacking New Tech City and identity theft" the Delta Morpher flashes between innocent and guilty before landing on guilty. "SONIC STRIKE!" and a blast of energy forces Slate to revert to his original form and contains him. Jack takes the Containment Card and the Rangers return to the Delta Base and demorph. Sky returns to see Mirloc
In the maximum security prison, Sky goes to see Mirloc.
"Your information was good" said Sky "what do I owe you?"
"Nothing much" said Mirloc "I am a collector of sad stories, so I want you to tell me your saddest story"
"My dad was a Power Ranger too" said Sky "He was the Red Ranger. He was a great father. He made a vow to protect the innocent. When people were in danger, he was always ready to fight. One day he got the call, he saved dozens of people, and he fought to the bitter end. It was his last battle. I never saw him again."
"What a horrible memory" said Mirloc "I can only imagine how hard that was for you."
"I'll never forget him" said Sky
"Of course not" said Mirloc "Thank you Ranger, that is the most amusing story I've heard in years"
"What?" Sky said
"Oh yes" said Mirloc "I have to admit, I've heard some sorry tales, but yours is truly one of the saddest. It will be the most treasured in my collection."
"You" said Sky "you're a monster!"
"You think?" Mirloc said and began laughing. A tear runs down Sky's face, which Mirloc uses to escape.
