A/N: In Finnick's POV

First

"Finnick come here!" I hear Annie shout. I hurry downstairs to see what is wrong.

"Annie what's wrong?" I ask because she looks fine.

"You missed it. He walked!" Annie shouts excited and jumps up and down.

I look down at our son who is now sitting up and sucking on his teething ring.

"I missed it." I say disappointed.

"Well, he will walk again." Annie says and kisses my cheek.

"Yes but this was the first time. He will be walking for the rest of his life." She rolls her eyes. Although she was jealous when he said Dada before Mama. He can still only say a few words and most of them it sounds like gibberish.

He starts laughing and claps his hands.

I go over and pick him up.

"Dada." He says softly and leans his head in my chest.

I kiss the top of his head.

"Okay Nicky. I know you walked for Mommy." I look at her and she is smiling. "So why don't you try walking for Daddy?" I say and kiss his forehead.

"Finnick." Annie says in a scolding tone.

"Can you walk for Daddy?" I say again. I place him on his baby blanket. He sits up and throws his teddy bear across the room.

I sigh and sit next to him and Annie soon follows.

She kisses my cheek.

"Don't worry it wasn't very exciting." Annie says not very convincingly.

I turn towards her.

"Annie. You were screaming like you needed desperate help. It's because you were very excited." I say and she smiles.

She sighs.

"Okay it was, but don't worry Finnick. He still has lots of things he hasn't done yet." She kisses my cheek. "He can't eat by himself. He can't talk in complete sentences yet. He can't run. He can't swim." Annie eyes me. She knows once he has mastered walking and running I will want to teach him how to swim.

"I just wanted to see it." I say and look down at him smiling at something.

Annie picks Nick up and places him in her lap. He latches onto her hair. Which is one of his favorite things to play with. Annie has gotten into the habit of putting her hair up because of this. I do miss seeing her chestnut hair falling around her face.

"Just know that he wuves you." She says as he gently pulls her hair.

I roll my eyes.

"No baby talk Annie we have discussed this." I say. Baby talk can be cute but, I know Annie would abuse it to the point where it is annoying. When she does do it occasionally I will admit it is cute.

"I know but ah." She says as Nick forcefully pulls her hair. Her hair is starting to get tangled. She pulls Nick away. "Let's have daddy hold you." She says and kisses his cheek. I take him and place him in my lap.

Annie starts to brush her hair with her fingers. She braids it tightly to the side and smiles.

"At least he doesn't pull my hair." I tease.

She rolls her eyes.

"He does it because he loves me. Isn't that right Nicky?" She says. She pokes his stomach causing him to giggle.

"I love that sound." Annie says.

"Me too." I say. I let go of him and he crawls to his teddy bear.

I sigh.

"He will walk again." Annie says and wraps her arm around me.

"I know."

Annie stands up.

"Watch him while I make dinner." She smiles and kisses the top of my head.

I nod.

He mostly sits and keeps throwing his teddy bear across the room. I eventually stop retrieving it for him because I know he will keep throwing it.

"Dada." He says and points across the room. He wants me to get his teddy bear.

"Dinners almost ready!" I hear Annie shout from the kitchen.

"Okay Nick we can't keep Mommy waiting." I say and walk over to get him.

"Dada!" He says as I get closer.

"I'm right here." I say and kneel in front of him.

"Dada." He says. He pushes himself up and walks. More like stumbles but he ends up in my arms.

"Annie!" I shout.

She comes running out here.

"What? Did I miss something?" She says somewhere between worry and jealously.

I pick him up.

"He walked to me."

She smiles. "I thought it wasn't as exciting because you didn't see it the first time." She smiles with that smug looks that says 'I'm right.'

"Well it was the first time I saw it." I say and kiss the top of his head. "So that still makes it a first." I say and walk us towards Annie.

"Yes it does." She says and kisses us.
