Corvin Ending

The sounds of blades saying as they flew for the air. Corvin was fully on the defensive, his side throbbed with pain as the Prince and his companion never slowed their attack. He couldn't risk attacking them and giving them an opening, another one from either of the sacred blades and he would be no more.

He nearly doubled over as he felt the impact of a kick from Rue. Unable to keep his breath Corvin fell to his knees the damp ground was no cushion to the pain that seemed to grow. He looked up at his assailants, at the glint of color from their eyes as they stared down at him mercilessly.

The golden eyes of Prince Siegfried. The one that started his misery, and the one that seek to end it all. Corvin wondered if it was such a sin that he wanted to be the same as the force that destroyed his life, he certainly knew that he could never rise above someone who can above everyone. In this moment he wondered where was that love and mercy for him.

The forest green eyes of the warrior James. With or without a heart the young man was always filled with rage. Those that rage that made him make the mistake that saved Corvin's and gave him hope. Though James did not see it that way and shatters his own heart to avoid accepting responsibility for what he had done. Corvin knew that the relationship could be so different, only if James found it in his honor bound heart to hate the prince as he did.

The fiery red eyes of Rue, the one that truly did not see him. Despite having her prince, despite being able to live in the bliss of a fairytale ending, so much pain clouded her heart. Only if she would free her mind from that haze and realize how similar they were, instead of only seeing him a pale shadow of what she once feared.

Crovin felt the tip of cold metal touches chest. He didn't bring himself to look down, it would take to nothing more than a scrape of his skin he'd be gone forever. He couldn't bring himself to think about an afterlife, for him to would easier if there was nothing beyond this life and its pain.

With an inhale of breath, he braced himself for the inevitable. Only, for a pair of arms to wrap around him. Gentle and warm arms that held on to him tightly, he felt like the part of him that was going to make them shatter was healing.

"Mytho stop!" The voice of Ahiru created with her friends as she shielded Corvin.

"Ahiru." Mytho's voice was hesitant at her plea.

Her chest shattered revealing the glint of the locket Corvin had repaired hang around her neck "Don't kill him please!" She continued to bag.

The trio looked at each other before taking a less offensive stance, each of them holding an expression of concern.

"Thank you, for trying to save me." Ahiru said softly "I'm going to stay with Corvin."

Rue shook her head unable to comprehend her friends request "but your life."

"I know… though I want to risk it." Ahiru cannot make her blue eyes to meet Rue's red ones "I'm willing to lose everything so Corvin doesn't feel lonely anymore."

"You can't!" Rue retaliated her eyes welling up

"She's made up her mind." James interrupted Rue before saying "Ahiru?"

Ahiru turned to James expectantly waiting the rest of his question.

"Do you love him?"

Here are blushed and she felt Corvin moved to wrap his arms around her.

Mytho closed his eyes and said "Don't answer that. They don't need to know." Then quietly he turned into the darkness and began walking to the tunnel that he had entered from.

Hesitantly James looked at them before turning to do the same.

Rue didn't move however, staring at her friend as if hoping she would change her mind and tell a "Let's go." Echoed from the darkness and the brunette left the two there.

For a long moment Corvin and Ahiru sat together their arms locked. Even though the hero had made her decision, it felt like it wasn't over that something else was supposed to happen. As she kneeled there pressed against Corvin feeling his heart beat frantically against hers, she ever so slowly began to stand up.

"Corvin." She said helping him get to his feet.

As Corvin stumbled up he his weight pressing against her shoulder.

"Wait!" His sudden fall making Ahiru stumble as she tried to keep them steady "Are you okay."

"My heart hurts." He whispered, then looking almost like he was half-asleep planted a kiss on Ahiru's cheek.

"C-Corvin." Ahiru stuttered as her blush grew

Corvin smiled weakly and said "Let's go."

Together they made their way up the hill to the entryway to the lit room, only seeing that it had been changed to a wide dark tunnel that sloped upwards into the darkness.

"Where does it lead." Ahiru asked apprehensively.

Corvin squeezed her hand and said "The place where we both want to be."

-Months later-

the room shone with the light of the thousand colored crystals as music flooded the hall. Ahiru had gotten use to the dreamlike quality of her life, as though there was a part of her always expecting to wake up.

"Corvin?" She said seeing her prince approach her.

"You seem bored love." The blue-eyed prints said pulling her into a hug.

"I'm not, just thinking about the past." She answered him.

"Don't." Corvin said kissing her lightly "That life and all its pain are gone." He then took her hand and pulled her to the dance floor of the seemingly unending party "Dance with me, my love, my princess."

Elsewhere beyond the realm of fairytales and happy endings Uzura stood at the doorstep of Fakir's home in the city of Goldcrown. "Fakir! Fakir, zura." The dolly girl pounded on her drum and screamed, begging for someone to open the door for her.

A shadow fell over the green haired girl in stopped as she heard "Just give up little one." Allard tone was cold and sorrowful "Fakir will not answer."

The green haired girl pounded and looked up at the blonde teen and asked "Why zura?"

"Ahiru , made her choice and moved on, now all he wants to do, it's the same." Allard answered

Uzura looked at the ground for the lonely and sniffled, the green haired girl seeming to feel abandoned at Allard's news.

"Come on now Uzura , Drosselmeyer is no more and Fakir will soon forget everything."

"Where are we going?" The green haired drummer asked.

Allard looked up at the sky that was gray in cloud filled "To another time, another place. Perhaps even another story."
