Hello everyone! You thought I was going to go MIA for a year or more again but nope I'm back :D This summer honestly has been really great :D First, I proved the people who thought I was weak for being sad of my girlfriend cheating on me wrong. I did that by losing the weight I gained, getting all A's in my college semester which got me the presidents scholar and finally becoming happy alone. Most of my summer has been comprised of a lot of family plans and self improving but more so self improving. I've learned as of recently to not get down from people who mock you but rather use their malicious words to strengthen the sword that is your strength to prove them wrong! Anyhoo without further a do, here's chapter 7!

Rin and Ruby made their way to Asuka's Coffee Shop at downtown vale shortly after meeting each other. The walk from the park to the shop was short considering both women were really fast when it comes to speed, especially with Ruby and her semblance. Once they arrived, Ruby was amazed by how cute the menu looked like. The menu was a big chalkboard that had an array of drinks and snacks priced affordably with cute pictures of anime and animals around it. The pictures themselves were enough to make Ruby smile and forget about the situation she's in because they reminded her of her favorite childhood show. Rin watched in amusement as Ruby darted to the front to get a closer look at the chibi anime characters and animals while scaring a customer at the same time due to how fast she was. Rin smiled before following and putting her hand on Ruby's shoulder to get her attention.

"Alright Ruby! What would you like?"

"Uh... I'll have a large Sakura Frappucino!" Ruby said as she was switching her gaze from the big chalkboard menu to the delectable sweets behind the glass counter.

"Excellent Choice Ruby!I could also use a large frappucino too! I'll have the large smores frappucino" Rin said as she made her way toward the register. She was only able to take 2 minuscule steps before she felt Ruby grab her arm.

"Wait Rin... Tell me the total so I can pay you back!"

"No need to Ruby! My family is extremely rich and they are very generous. I'm sure they'll understand considering I'm doing something nice for someone rather than something selfish" Rin said as she gave Ruby a big smile that caused Ruby to let go. Rin made her way to the counter and placed their their orders were set,Rin went to Ruby who found a table for the both of them and both patiently waited for their drinks. Ruby was still looking at the pictures from the table she was sitting with Rin and Rin opened her scroll to look at weather for the rest of the day and her messages. Moments later before a waitress approached their table and served their drinks with straws on them. Ruby was eager to taste hers and she wasted no time in wrapping her lips around the straw to taste her drink. Ruby was not disappointed, she loved every moment of it. She loved the sweet creme flavor of the frappucino but what she loved the most was the absolute sweet strawberry blended with the drink. Ruby was practically sparkling from amazement while drinking. Rin couldn't fathom how happy Ruby was and that caused Rin to Chuckle as she watched the redhead consume her drink hard.

"You really like strawberry don't you Ruby?" Rin as she took a sip of her drink.

"I really do! They remind me of my mom and the very first sweet fruit she introduced me too. It was also her favorite."

"Awww, that's cute!"

Both girl's attention were shortly then diverted to their sweet drinks. They drank while enjoying each others company. Rin was baffled at how happy Ruby was right now. When she ran into Ruby in the park, she saw her gray eyes dull and sad. Now that they're in a coffee shop and Ruby is reminded of something good, Ruby's eyes went from dull and sad to happy and sparkling. Rin was curious as to what caused Ruby to be sad because she knows that the red head she bumped into the park wasn't the normal Ruby everyone would know. Rin had a great feeling that what she was thinking about is right, this redhead looks like the type that is able to smile through hell and back while still smelling like roses. Rin's curiosity got the best of her and she asked the question.

"Ruby, I hope you don't mind if I ask you this but why did you look really sad at the park?"

"You're a really observant girl are ya,Rin?" Ruby giggled with Rin not breaking her smile nor eye contact with Ruby.

"I had a feeling in my gut that something happened to you that caused you to be like that. There's a saying that your gut feeling is always right"

"Hm... since you treated me to coffee and you took the time to accompany, you deserve an explanation as to whats going on"

Both girls at this point were nearly finished with their drink but both decided to hold off so the explanation can be told and be listened to precisely.

"My girlfriend of ten years ditched me for her company and that really sucked... We met each other in beacon academy and I know I'm a hyper and really happy go girl but I really really loved her. I thought everything after we graduated would be bright considering we got our own place soon after and we got even closer. That all changed when she decided to take her dad's position as CEO for this dust company and she got even busier to the point I felt as if I was in a relationship with a stranger. She would focus too much on the company soon then she would start to miss anniversaries. That broke my heart because we both promised once we graduated to be with together forever but I guess her company is more important than me... I even slaved away that day to make her favorite foods and to make our tenth anniversary as special as possible but I her paperwork is more important than that because she just spent that day with her paperwork than me. Its not like I expect her to be glued to my side all the time, I just wish she remembered whats important. I'm really understanding and we even had talks about it. She kept promising she wouldn't miss the next and even went as far as to tell her interns to remind her and also write it on the calendar..But it still backfired and she still missed it. Right now I just want to forget about what's going on and take a vacation just to clear my mind." Ruby said as tears started forming on her eyes.

Rin got up and pulled the chair out next to Ruby so she can hug her to comfort her. Rin felt so bad at what happened to Ruby. Rin patted Ruby's back and hugged her to soothe her. Ruby's crying eventually subsided and Rin took the napkins that came with their coffee to wipe the redheads tears.

"I feel for ya Ruby. I can compare the situation you're in because I was going through something similar like that before" Rin told Ruby as her bright smile turned into a frown.

"How so?"Ruby questioned because Rin was a very gorgeous blonde. Ruby can't comprehend the thought that a lover to this blonde goddess would tarnish the relationship in any way shape or form just for the sake of something else being important. Once Ruby's tears were wiped off, Ruby then pulled herself together to listen to her friend who took the time to listen to her. Once Rin saw that Ruby was composed, she then told her her story.

"It all began 5 years ago in beacon academy too. I met this girl by the name of Stefanie. Just like you I thought everything would be blossoms when we both graduated together because we got a house at a far city from vale called Apayo City and we already knew what we were going to do to ensure a good future for the both of us but that crumbled down. She would start to be more involved online and we would start to spend less and less time. I would question her about her activities and even show my concern but she would brush it off as if I'm overthinking. I did a lot for her like how you did for your girlfriend. I even went as far as to buy a bike for me to use to drop her off to her work and pick her up when our car broke. It eventually spiraled out with me trying my best to voice out my opinion but that fell down in deaf ears because her online friends and business was more important than me and what I had to offer which was my best. The stress got so bad to the point it affected my pancreas and I had to take a month break from being a huntress because of what I sustained. Stefanie supported me but that not much, she would check up and show concern but once that's done she would plaster her face immediately back to the computer just to talk to her online friends again. One day she finally saw how affected I got and she stopped all together what she was doing. Me and her started spending more time and it felt as if we rekindled something. I thought everything was going to be fine after that but unfortunately good things in life are only temporary. It wasn't till two months after she decided to change for good that I was suspicious she was going back against her word. The stress again got so bad at that point but even worse to the point I almost committed suicide. I almost hung myself if it wasn't for one of our neighbors spotting me almost committing the act close to an open window. He called 911 and I was rushed to the hospital. I explained to her the situation through text and she basically got mad at me for blaming my actions onto her for what she's doing even going as far as saying she'll date someone else if I were to die. I don't get why I was weak at this point and I wasn't strong enough to just cut the relationship there but she ended up comforting me and those thoughts just flew out of the window. I blame myself honestly for not being strong enough and that pisses me off even to this day. She would spend time with me after I got out of the hospital but that act was only for a week instead of the two months from the last time. She would be sleeping at very late times and would be arriving back to work even later, I only got to see her if I stayed up all night because if I were to sleep I wouldn't her at all... but one day I came back from a hunting trip early and I noticed another pair of shoes in front of the door. I sneaked into the house and took a peak into the bedroom only to see her in bed with random guy. I grabbed her laptop and anything that I can grab that can fit into my rucksack before I bolted out of the house as fast as I can. She tried to chase after me but it was to no avail as I went deep into the forest until I was confident she couldn't find me. I opened up her laptop and what I saw broke my heart. She was flirting with a lot of random guys and she was basically asking them to buy her stuff which she would get by basically being their toy and doing whatever they wanted from her. I moved out of that town and into Vale and since then I haven't seen her and I don't ever want to" Rin finished as she hugged Ruby even tighter with Ruby reciprocating.

Ruby was shocked as to what she heard. That's appalling to choose materialistic things and a status in a different world than your lover who's trying their best for you. Both women felt each other pain and they relished each other's embrace. They felt as if they had a connection and moments Ruby broke the embrace but Rin held her close with one arm around her. Both women enjoyed the silence between them and how close they were to think of what has happened in their life. The silence felt as if it lasted for a decade because both were busy pondering at life just wondering what else they can do. Ruby was the first one to break it.

"So Rin... what did you do afterwards since its been five years?" Ruby asked as both women made eye contact again after that long segment of silence.

"I did a lot of self development to get back onto my feet. I focused on making myself happy by just focusing on myself rather than on things I can't control" Rin said as her frown went back to her bright smile as she looked out through the window and into the sunny world.

"I understood that life has a way of throwing curve balls to you so it can lead you to a better path. Instead of fighting the violent ocean that is life, I just relaxed and let it take me to whats next in store for me." Rin said as she redirected her attention towards Ruby who was shocked at how confident the girl was after facing something terrible. Rin smiled to relax Ruby and Ruby was amazed by Rin's story. Ruby returned the smile and the aura around them returned to its happy nature.

"It'll be okay Ruby! I'll be here to help because I don't want a good friend of mine to suffer what I did!" Rin said as she patted Ruby's back with Ruby feeling less tensed of the situation. Ruby was able to breathe easier now that she was able to get at least some of the troubles out of her chest.

"Can I talk to you at any time if I'm in trouble?" Ruby asked in a very nervous tone. Ruby hates the idea of burdening people and making them overwork just because she needs help.

"Of course you can! Why do you ask?" Rin replied shocked by Ruby's tone.

"I just don't want to end up annoying you that's all... I don't want this situation to get worse" Ruby said only for Rin to embrace her once more tighter.

"Ruby, you won't annoy me and I can guarantee that! We both share the same pain and I really don't want to see anyone be down alone like I was before and feel helpless. I'll be here to support you whenever I can" Rin said as Ruby hugged her back before the embrace was done. Rin stood up to pick up her drink and resumed to finish the last sips of her frappucino with Ruby following shortly. Both women finished their drink and shortly after exited the coffee shop. Once they were out Rin instructed Ruby to follow her around the city so they can talk more. Rin and Ruby went for a walk that was silent in the beginning but this time Ruby was the first to break the silence in the beginning.

"Rin, can I ask you for some advice?"

"Yeah go for it!"

"What should I do about the situation I'm in? Like I still love her but I don't know how things will get back to normal now that I issued an ultimatum and our time together has been falling apart"

"Thats up to you Ruby. Your heart will tell you whats best at the end. Its up to you if you want to be in this person's life or not but remember a relationship comprises of two people and both of them need to be working together to keep the relationship intact!"

Ruby was taking notes mentally from Rin and she was feeling even better about the situation she was in. With the new words entering Ruby's head, there was more for Ruby to consider but there was still a long road ahead of her.

*in the interest of time*

Weiss finished a lot of tasks for the day. She cleaned up the household, she went to get groceries and finally concluded the day by going to the library and reading a book regarding relationship dynamics so she can fix the problem she caused to the relationship between her and Ruby. Weiss didn't want to stand out as that of importance with her usual business attire so for the day she opted for something casual. Weiss's attire consisted of bright blue skinny jeans, white walking shoes, a white turtleneck sweather and glasses to make sure she wasn't recognized immediately in the general public. Weiss also had her hair down instead of tied to lessen the recognition in the public eye even more. Once Weiss thought it was time to head home, she returned the book to where it belonged and exited out of the library. The library she was in was a very famous one in the city of vale as its been serving the towns people for almost nearly a decade. The library offered people knowledge and a place to generally just get away from electronics and just enjoy simple things.

As Weiss was stepping down the stairs leading to the sidewalk, she noticed a long strand of blond hair with a redhead hair style that she suspected resembled Ruby's hair. Weiss made no hesitation to run to the pair she saw as fast as she can, ignoring the cars honking at her just so she can see them. After a brief period of running, she finally made her way behind the pair and she recognized the voice coming from the redhead. It was Ruby and that girl she saw in her dream Rin together. Seeing them together made her feel uneasy and it took all the self control within her to not just lunge at Ruby instantly to hug her. She waited for the right time until they were alone. After following the pair for a while in the city, the pair finally took a turn to the park they initially met. Weiss realized that there was no one around them but them and she decided it was time to show her presence to Ruby. She ran up to Ruby and hugged her from behind. Rin and Ruby stopped with Ruby shocked feeling the sensation.

"Ruby..."

The whiterose couple remained silent with Rin opting to not get involved because she doesn't want worsen anything. Ruby felt tears coming out of her eyes and her mind getting clouded by the negativity she recently experienced. Ruby tried to break the hug from behind her but it was to no avail as Weiss clung to Ruby for dear life.

"Weiss... please let me go"

"Ruby, please listen to me! I'm sorry I really am. Please just come back with me so we can fix this"

"I don't want to right now Weiss.. I want to enjoy my vacation so I can clear my mind. I'm thinking about a lot at the moment."

"Ruby please..."

"How can I be certain you'll be genuine this time? You promised before that you wouldn't miss any of our anniversaries but you ended up going back at your word. What if I trust you right now but tomorrow you just go back to your company, what should I do then?"

"That won't happen Ruby! Winter is taking my place and I'm taking off time from there because I told her I wanted to fix what I caused between us!"

"Why didn't you do that before when you realized that I wasn't that hyper and happy anymore?"

"Ruby, please!"

"Why is it that when I did anything flirty nor hyper and playful around you, you would just shoot me an annoyed glare and sigh as if I was being a nuisance"

'That's.. thats-"

"Why is that you can give your company all the time in the world and I never heard a sigh of annoyance from you at home?"

"Ruby, I can-"

"Why is it that we haven't made love in a while and you never told me you loved me in years but you still claim right now that you love me and now that I'm considering my place in the relationship,now you act!"

"RUBY I'M SORRY PLEASE" Weiss said louder as her hug around Ruby tightened.

"Why can't I just enjoy some time alone so I can clear my mind up? You're fine spending as much time away from me for that stupid company of yours and to come back home at the dead of night where I'm sleeping. I haven't seen you for more than an hour because your company is more important than your long term girlfriend"

"I promise I'll change Ruby! I promise!" Weiss said with both girls having tears flowing out of their eyes. With fear that Weiss was going to lose Ruby, she tried to show Ruby as much affection as possible. Not breaking the embrace she has around Ruby, she started to kiss the back of Ruby's neck, sniff the redheads rose smelling hair and at some points lick Ruby's neck just to elict more than just an angry tone from Ruby. All pet peeves of public display of affection was thrown out of Weiss's head, all that mattered now to her was Ruby.

The tension between both women grew exceedingly and Rin didn't know whether or not the outcome was going to be good or not. Rin was just shocked at how aura around them now increased in tension tenfold. Rin still stood their silent, letting Ruby rely on her heart to choose what to do next rather than intervene to worsen anything. Weiss just hoping that the situation can be fixed soon.

THERE YA GO ;D Chapter 7 is up! I'm sorry for cutting it in a cliff hanger but I don't want to rush it. I've had my fair share of rushing cliffhangers and the response I got before were really not bright which I want to avoid. Just kidding on the Doom cross over but let me know what you want as of soon guys! I've been writing a lot of new stories for Bumblebee and Whiterose and I cant wait to share them with you!
