Hello there! My update schedule has been made :D Ever since I quit playing a lot of CS on steam, I've started to become more addicted to writing and this is becoming so much fun! After many revisions and pushing through a lot of writers block I was finally able to push this conclusion out! The feedback and criticism I received for the omake I released were really really helpful and I'll address those at the end. Without further ado, here's the long awaited chapter 8!

After a couple moments passed with Weiss keeping her tight embrace around her precious Ruby, Ruby knew what she wanted to say. Rather than break the embrace and just have her lover face her back once more to show how angry she was, Ruby turned around to kiss Weiss on her forehead and hug her. Weiss felt relieved at that moment and she felt as if the conflict itself was close to being resolved but that sense of relief was shot down quickly with Ruby's words after her intimate actions.
"I appreciate the gesture but I can't believe that you changed after a short period of time because of how you missed our past anniversaries and made false promises. This break itself will be for the best for us and this'll give you time to choose between me and your company because both isn't working out" Ruby said as she loosened her embrace around Weiss. Weiss heard those heartbreaking words and tightened her embrace, tears from the white rose couple spilling hard and both girls sobbing intensely. This wasn't easy for Ruby but Ruby knew it was for the betterment of the relationship.
"Please Ruby.. please dont leave me." Weiss said as her tears spilled onto Ruby's shirt with Ruby's tears spilling onto Weiss's sweater.
"I hate feeling as if I'm the only one left in the relationship. I felt as if I was in a relationship with a complete stranger due to your neglect"
"Please don't leave me. I won't be able to live with myself if I'm not with you. I won't.." Weiss said as she rubbed her tear stained cheek to Ruby's cheek that has also been stained with tears to relish the touch as the thought of Ruby leaving her terrified her. Weiss relished Ruby's touch and voice toward her and she didn't want that to lose her due to her carelessness.
"I'll come back once you prioritize me over your company. Please don't waste this" Ruby said as she tried to break the embrace but this instigated Weiss to tighten the embrace and declare how much she loved her Ruby Rose.
"I don't care if I have to give up my company. I love you so much. I want to get married with you and have kids. I want to wake up in the morning and have you be the first thing I see to remind myself how lucky I am to have this life. I want to be the one that serves you milk and cookies for breakfast and when you're back from your hunts. I want your hyper and happy energy around me to remind that life is good in this nasty world that isn't sunshine and rainbows. I want us to live happily forever and for you to be by my side so I can erase all my troubles and feel at ease. I want to grow old with you and I want to tell stories to our kids and grand kids about our love and our wacky adventures. I want to be proud to call you my wife and that my life is the best. So please.. don't go" Weiss said as she buried her face into Ruby's shoulder and unloaded even more of her tears. Ruby was touched by Weiss's words which caused her heart to override her mind to not break the embrace she was in with the love of her life and leave. Ruby relished the embrace and even though Ruby was burnt out by Weiss's false promises and neglect for the past couple of years ever since she took the mantle of CEO for the Schnee Dust Company, Ruby loved her still with every fiber of her being which is a reason why she issued the ultimatum.
"Are you being genuine when you say you love me? How will I know that this itself isn't one of those false promises that you've been making for the past couple of years?"
"Ruby Rose, I genuinely love you from the tips of your hair to the pile of atoms that make you" Weiss said as she tugged Ruby close to her to relish her warmth.
"Prove it" Ruby said as both girls faced each other with their eyes coming into contact, watery blue focused to watery gray
"I love your eyes like the universe in spring." Weiss whispered to Ruby's ear as she kissed Ruby's cheek.
"I love your kind gaze that's like the spring sunlight" Weiss whispered to Ruby's other ear as she kissed Ruby's other cheek.
"I love your hair. I love your smooth, silken hair that waves in the wind" Weiss whispered as she kissed Ruby's forehead.
"I love your lips. I love your lips that give honey kisses and let me hear your lonely sighs" Weiss said aloud rather than a whisper as she kissed Ruby on the lips.
"I love your voice. I love your high, sweet, pure voice that echoes in my heart" Weiss said as she kissed Ruby on the lips once more.
"I love your body. I love the warmth that I feel" Weiss said as she kissed Ruby's neck
" But..." Weiss uttered as she re positioned herself to have her left ear on top of Ruby's chest so she can hear the red brunettes heart beat while she maintained the embrace.
"What I love the most is your heart. Fragile and easily broken yet strong, but endlessly pure and beautiful. Your soul filled with kindness which never blames others and forgives all."
Weiss spoke as she re positioned herself to face Ruby while still maintaining her embrace.
"I love you. I really love you. I can't help but love everything about you Ruby Rose." Weiss pronounced as she tugged Ruby closer to her with the already tight embrace so she can relish even more of the red head's embrace.
"I don't need anything else other than you" Weiss declared as her focus from Ruby's stormy eyes didn't break.
"All I want is you. An everlasting life for you and me" Weiss expressed while having her eyes still focused onto Ruby's.
Ruby was touched by Weiss's words and Ruby wanted to do nothing but cuddle with Weiss in their bedroom while they watched Ruby's childhood cartoon shows but she knew deep down that taking a break from the relationship would benefit the relationship as a whole for the better. Even though Weiss's words were nice, there goes a saying that actions speak louder than words. Ruby did the unexpected move of breaking the embrace and stepping back to prevent Weiss from re embracing her. This move caused Weiss to crumble to her knees and cry even more. It wasn't only Weiss that cried harder due to the embrace being broken, Ruby also cried because she wanted to stay in that embrace even longer but she knew that if she did then her heart would've overruled her mind completely to the point her whole ultimatum would've been pointless.
Ruby's tears grew even more with the thought of what she had to do next but she knew it was for the best. It was terrible that this is what it had to come to but at least it will benefit them in the future. Ruby turned around to let Weiss tearfully stare at her back once more before doing the best thing for the both of them and left with Rin following behind Ruby.
"NOOOOO! RUBY DONT LEAVE ME PLEASE!" Weiss screamed out loud as she cried even harder. Her cries becoming more intense as the truth became more apparent. Weiss fell down onto the park floor and curled into herself just thinking how she failed the relationship. She garnered a lot of eyes due to how she was acting but she didn't care... she didn't even care that her clothes themselves were getting dirty and wet due to how rain was starting to pour... she lost what mattered the most due to her negligence and the thought itself that she failed due to that hurt a lot. Weiss laid there curled up while bystanders passed by until she heard footsteps running towards her. Weiss cried, hoping that she it was a stampede to end her due to her failure but instead she was lifted up. She opened her eyes to see the bumblebee duo helping her back up. With Blake on her right and Yang on her left.
"We got you Weiss" Yang said as they made their way toward Blake's car. Weiss wished at that point Yang was so furious that she punched the life out of Weiss but what surprised her the most was that Yang was composed and with help from Blake was helping her. Weiss couldn't do anything and cry more wishing that she could undo her mistake.
It didn't take long for the trio to make it to Blake's car. Once they made it, Blake made her way to the drivers seat while Yang escorted Weiss to the passengers seat. Blake started the ignition and proceeded to drive to Weiss's house while Yang was at the back comforting Weiss with Weiss's head on her lap and Yang stroking her hair while telling her that it was going to be okay.
It was a short drive to Weiss's house and once they made arrived the bumblebee couple didn't hesitate to help Weiss back into her house and into her bed. Blake decided that she would stay with Weiss for the meantime while Yang went back to their house and stayed with Blake. Blake never saw Weiss this sad ever at all and she felt really bad for her as she already had a lot of baggage already on her due to her rough upbringing. Blake and Yang didn't know how long this situation would last but one thing is for certain is that they have to be close to one of them for the meantime as the last thing they want is for one of them to do something they would regret.
As Weiss was laying on her bed curled up and crying, Blake grabbed a chair and sat right next to Weiss to help her cope. It was a while until Weiss's cries died down and once her cries were calming down, Weiss flipped onto her back and did nothing but stare at the ceiling to think. Blake took this opportunity as a way to talk to Weiss and see if she wanted anything.
"Weiss, do you need anything like water right?" Blake asked as she held Weiss's hand to ensure her that everything will be okay.
"Ruby..." Weiss muttered with her eyes being robbed of its light and focused on the cieling
"Everything will be okay Weiss! Yang went back to our house to comfort Ruby and-" Blake said but the mere mention of Ruby's name was enough for Weiss's tears to comeback but thankfully not become as intense as before when they found her on the park floor.
"Rubyy..." Weiss muttered once more.
"Yang is with her at the moment and comforting her. I'll be staying at your place for a little bit to make sure you're alright! Your like family to us Weiss and we don't anything bad to happen to you" Blake said as she embraced Weiss with Weiss not reciprocating. Weiss wanted to hug back but she felt as if all the energy within her has withered away due to Ruby's departure and knowing that she caused it.
Blake let go of Weiss's hand,closed the bedroom door and made her way to Weiss's kitchen to make something for her saddened friend. While Blake was cooking something for both of them to eat for dinner, Weiss still laid there doing nothing but stare at the ceiling just thinking what she could've done differently.
It wasn't long until it became dark outside and Weiss's room being blanketed by the darkness. Weiss didn't care about anything right now still, her thoughts right now still focused on what she could've done differently that ensured her still with Ruby while staring at the ceiling still. Weiss heard the door open but didn't bother to bat an eye and still kept her focus on the ceiling. Blake came in with two glasses of water for Weiss and a steak dinner that was big enough to ensure Weiss would be full once she ate it. Blake knows that when people become really sad, they don't take care of themselves and just want to do nothing but crumble away. Blake didn't want Weiss to starve herself to death let alone die due to this event. Blake made her way to Weiss and put her food on the nightstand next to the bed.
"Here's your dinner now Weiss.. Enjoy! I'll be eating my food in your living room and will be sleeping there while I take care of you."
"Li-living..." Weiss muttered. Blake got worried from this and started to chop Weiss's steak into bite size pieces.
"You'll be living don't worry. Did you forget I'm a faunus and I can still hear you from your living room due to my ears." Blake said as finished chopping Weiss's steak. Blake hoisted Weiss up so she was sitting on her bed and fed the first bite Weiss tears came back hard only for a moment until it subsided as more food was being put into her mouth. Weiss obeyed and opened her mouth when food was presented to her and kept doing so until Weiss finished the dinner. Once Weiss finished her steak, Blake made sure Weiss was hydrated by having Weiss slowly drink the two cups of water. Blake wasn't aiming at making Weiss finish all two of them but instead just have her at least finish most if it. After Weiss finished the dinner Blake fed her, Blake got the dishes and made her way to the kitchen to clean them while leaving the bedroom door open. Weiss remained sitting and her gaze was now fixed at the big clothing drawer she and Ruby shared. Hanging above the clothing drawer were picture frames of her and Ruby happy. On top of the dresser was a teddy bear Weiss recalled was her favorite childhood toy before everything became a mess. Weiss wished that she could go back to those good times and relive them. Weiss wished in general that she was given the ability to turn back the clock to experience Ruby's warmth again and undue what she caused.
Moments later and Blake returned with a glass of water in one hand and a magazine in the other. Blake made her way back to Weiss's side and comforted her once more.
"I got you another glass of water just in case you get thirsty sometime over the night and a magazine to help your ease mind so you can sleep" Blake informed with Weiss thanking her for comforting her. Blake realized that the situation was improving because Weiss spoke to her and held her hand once more.
"It'll be okay Weiss!"
"No its not... I lost Ruby and I don't know if I'll be able to get her back.."
"What do you mean?"
"I had a nightmare before the park where I relived the most horrifying part of my childhood and at the end Ruby getting taken away from me by this girl named Rin who Ruby was with at the park."
"It'll be okay Weiss! That nightmare sounded scary but let me remind you that Ruby loves you so much! She wouldn't turn a new leaf and go out with another girl instantly if she cut something off"
"I don't know if she still loves me... she broke up with me..."
"It'll be okay! This is Ruby we're talking about! She kisses you every day, tells you she loves you everyday when you wake up and before you sleep and talks about you towards everyone as if you were the best thing that ever happened in her life. It might've been the heat of the moment due to how angry she was but maybe you guys will get back together!" Blake said but the 'maybe' part was enough to make Weiss even more sad due to the possibility that Ruby might've been serious about ending rubbed Weiss's back more and comforted her sad friend.
"What did Ruby say exactly say earlier? From what I've seen of your relationship with her, its unlikely for her to instantly jump to that." Blake asked trying to puzzle what happened.
"She said that she hated how I neglected her due to how focused I was to my company and because of said neglect that she felt as if she was a stranger in the relationship..." Weiss said trying to remember the horrible words she heard earlier while Blake nodded to show that she's listening attentively.
"She then said that she would comeback once I prioritized her more. I declared my love for her but I guess it fell deaf to her ears as she broke the hug I gave her and walked away..." Weiss said as she tried to wipe off the tears coming out of her eyes with her fingers but Blake intervened and offered her a handkerchief which Weiss obliged and took to wipe the tears away while Blake pet her. Once the tears were wiped off, Blake then spoke what she deduced.
"Sounds to me Weiss that Ruby is right about you needing to prioritize better. Like you shouldn't be too invested to your company to the point you neglect anniversaries just to get her better gifts. Ruby would like your time and presence invested to her rather than on your company. Also, you should really pay attention to signs that Ruby is getting lonely. From what I see, Ruby is taking a break to ease off due to how burn out she is from your neglect. I also see Ruby contemplating the idea of breaking up because it seems as if you chose your company over her and she feels really frustrated and betrayed about." Blake said and Weiss started to worry with thoughts of Ruby leaving her disgusting her.
"I can't lose her. She's everything to me.. what do I do?" Weiss said as she put her hands to her face as she began to worry even more with Blake rubbing her shoulder to help her relax.
"I would say the best thing you can do is show Ruby how much you love her but at the meantime give her space to clear up her mind and think" Blake told Weiss with Weiss nodding to show she understood.
"Are you feeling better now? I'm getting kinda sleepy already."
"yeah I am, thank you Blake." Weiss said as she laid back onto her bed and was ready to go to sleep. Blake patted Weiss's shoulder once more before she stood up to make her way to the door.
"Good night Weiss. Sleep well!"
"You too Blake! Thank you again!"
"No problem! Anything for a good friend of mine" Blake concluded with her closing the door to let her friend sleep. Weiss wasn't able to sleep as she was busy tossing and turning most of the time just thinking what else can she do to get Ruby back. The conversation she had with Blake earlier and how if Weiss screws up then Ruby leave her terrified her. Weiss loves Ruby so much that its as if she's like part of the core that makes her complete as a person. Weiss tried to take her mind off what happened earlier by first seeing if she can be entertained by reading the magazine Blake brought to her. Weiss sat up,turned on the lamp on the nightstand and opened the huntress furniture magazine Blake got gave her but after only reading the first 6 pages she tossed it to the sided as the furniture she saw were not appealing to her eyes and she didn't want to waste time continuing something she had little to no interest at. Weiss returned her gaze from earlier back to the pictures hanging above briefly before her it was taken by the stuffed bear sitting on top of the drawer. She briefly looked at the stuffed bear she held dearly as a kid and remembered how she would bring that with her wherever she went and how she would hug it tight whenever she experienced something terrible or saw her father do something gruesome in order to numb the pain. Weiss, now the CEO of her fathers tainted company, remembered that day her father declared how Schnees are the epitome of perfection by showing her the sowed bodies of Megan and Charlotte and how he exclaimed that imperfection will not be tolerated before abusing her. That event is one of many traumatic events that really got to the former heiress when she was a kid and that night she got comfort from the toy bear that was given to her from her mother when she was gentle and not strict as she was today. Weiss liked the comfort she got from the bear because of how soft it was and the warmth she got when she hugged it but she would much prefer Ruby and her warmth to hug.
Weiss got out of her bed and walked towards the picture frames hanging to remember each moment briefly each one displayed. There were a dozen pictures hanging that displayed events from the white rose couple's first date to the last picture which was Ruby overfilled with joy while Weiss was cutting their fifth anniversary cake. Weiss took down the most recent picture and clutched it close to her just wanting to relieve that moment. Weiss fell down to the marble floor of her bedroom and clutched the picture closer to her heart just hoping Ruby will come back and they can be together happily again. Weiss tried to replay how happy their fifth anniversary was in her head but before she was able to relive the moment fully she heard a familiar yet excited voice that she hasn't heard in a while.
"Now don't we look like shit! How you been girl?Aint seen you in a while" Weiss knew who it was but didn't bother to respond as she was busy trying to relieve one of her happiest moments. She heard the voice's figure jump out of her bed and its footsteps getting near her. As the footsteps were getting near, Weiss remembered that the figure was her imaginary friend she would talk to back then during times of emotional stress. As she was trained that Schnee's were the epitome of perfection, Weiss was taught that Schnee's don't feel anything and that their main objective only all the time was to be the best. Weiss remembered that throughout most of her childhood she only held anger and hatred towards her family and how she lived due to her not being able to enjoy anything. The imaginary friend doesn't feel anger, hatred or sadness and it only appeared to help Weiss cope with psychiatric trauma and unbearable sights she witnessed. The imaginary friend was like the alter ego of Weiss's real self. The last time she saw the imaginary friend was when her relationship with Ruby entered its second year and the friend congratulated her because of how happy she was becoming. Weiss remembered the dream she had one night during her second year of how the imaginary friend wished her the best of luck before saying goodbye and disappearing.
As memories were coming back to Weiss, she remembered the name of her imaginary friend, Emilia. Emilia's footsteps stopped and she heard Emilia jump only to find her right in front of her. Weiss was surprised with how Emilia looked because its really been a long time since she last saw her. Weiss noticed that Emilia aged just like how Weiss did and that Emilia wore an entirely different outfit than before. Weiss was more surprised at how Emilia almost resembled her perfectly but her hair is a little shorter than her and the vertical scar on her left eye is nowhere to be seen Emilia. Before at beacon, Weiss would see Emilia wear a beacon uniform just like her. Since Weiss wasn't a student anymore and wore a suit most of the time to retain her professionalism as a CEO, Emilia's attire changed and looked like a parody as to what Weiss would wear everyday. Weiss's suit was organized and professional but Emilia wore something casual such as a white t-shirt, blue skinny jeans and slippers instead of shoes Weiss would wear. Strangely enough Emilia was wearing a long red scarf that went from her neck all the way to her feet. Weiss took into account how the imaginary friend looked just like her if she was laid back, carefree and was more silly rather than serious. Weiss rarely smiled as a kid and when Emilia appeared right in front of her, she wore a casual smile. Even though its been a while since Weiss saw Emilia, Emilia still smiled despite Weiss growing up.
"Oohh you getting kinda old ain't ya?" Emilia said as she took a good look at Weiss's appearance. She walked around Weiss to get a good look at how her figure aged before jumping back to look at Weiss's frown. Emilia pulled out a cigarette from her jeans and starting smoking. When Weiss saw Emilia infront of her again she not only had a cigarette in her mouth but also had myrtenaster on her right hand. Myrtenaster looked rusty and Weiss wondered if that blade was to symbolize her emotions currently or how her emotions were due to the lack of proper care.
"Look at this poor blade. It's all jacked things sure have changed!"" Emilia said as she brought the blade in front of her and got a good look at it. Emilia pulled out the cigarette and puffed the smoke out of it. Once she did, she asked Weiss the same question Blake asked her but in a much more laid back and sillier way.
"So how come you're not with your Ruby girl anymore huh?" Emilia said as she tossed the cigarette to the side and began to try and balance Weiss's rapier by the pommel with her pointy finger. The task proved difficult as Weiss saw Emilia struggle and moving a lot just to try and balance the blade.
"I got too involved in being the CEO of fathers company to the point I neglected her and I failed to show her how much I loved her" Weiss told Emilia with Weiss's gaze looking down to the marble floor while Emilia was still trying to balance myrtenaster.
"Ain't you learn nothing yet? Whatever your reasons. Once you take up the mantle as CEO for your dads company you can never really escape" Emilia said as she tried to balance Weiss's rapier one more time before gripping it normally and returning back to admiring the blade itself again despite it's condition getting worse.
"But anyway, hows your dads will on the company still alive? Didn't you dead him already? Guess not cause he on the strong rebound in putting much foot in yo white ass." Emilia said mockingly with Weiss giving her silence to in return to show her how down she was. Emilia disregarded this and laughed a little from the situation itself.
"Ooohh did you catch that honey your Ruby girl was ridin with? She the numero uno now? Damn! She major bootylicious too! She got ass for days you heard!" Emilia said as she tapped her feet and clutched myrtenaster with both hands in excitement. Unlike Weiss who was taught how to behave properly and have proper vocabulary, Emilia was the complete opposite of that. Emilia spoke anything coming to her mind and did so without any shame at all. Weiss did have to admit though that the mention of Rin was enough to make Weiss jealous that Ruby would go to her during this difficult time.
"Even with her sad face she got me hot to dropped" Emilia finished. Weiss stood up and clutched the necklace around her neck that Ruby gave her after their first considered the necklace Ruby gave to her a treasure that she would proudly wear everyday. Weiss eyed the picture of her and Ruby hugging each other when they finished moving into the mansion with their faces only showing nothing but joy. Weiss recalled Blake's words and was determined to get Ruby back. Weiss wasn't about to accept that she let down someone important to her and was going to do anything to get back the person she loved back to her. Weiss had to prove a lot throughout her life and now she had to prove to Ruby she still loved her despite her neglect.
"It begins again" Weiss said as she retained her stare to the portrait. Emilia was excited that Weiss was not going to waste anymore time and patted her on the back.
"Alright! That's what I'm talking about! We road dogs again!But if you're going to go anywhere with me, we got's to get you cleaned up and ready to rumble!" Emilia said as she guided Weiss back to her bed with Weiss obliging and putting the sheets back on herself. Once Weiss was on her bed again, Weiss turned back to see if Emilia was still with her but saw that she disappeared. Weiss felt at least a little sense of relief from seeing Emilia again but the only thing on her mind right now was how she would be able to get Ruby back. Weiss turned off the lamp and the room was blanketed in darkness again.
I love you Ruby. I'll make this right. Please still think of me.
There ya go! The long awaited chapter 8. About the feedback from the omake, I understand that I should've made it more akin to the story itself and that I accidentally made Ruby to OOC. The omake itself was just something new I wanted to try and write about as the story idea like I said has been in my mind since sophomore year and I've been thinking about a lot at some points. However, with the help of your feedback I was able to iron out how Ruby could act more to her character from the show rather than the personality I borrowed from the anime's I got inspiration for the story from. A new story for the omake will be made sometime in the future once I wrap up this story and Blake Erupts. I might make a new series over all that I basically write anything about if the omake I'm thinking about in the future isn't related to the story. I tried not to make the break up and the struggle cliched so I did something new at the end that I thought would be interesting. With that said, I want to know your thoughts on how this chapter went as I worked hard on it and tried to make it unique :) Have a good rest of your day and have a good one!
