Episode 384: Power Rangers Project Hexagon: 2009

I'd like to make it clear that I am not saying that this story accurately depicts how any real life politicians would react. I simply used politicians who were in office at the time of the events that I wanted to take place for this story
January 1
In Reefside City, Tommy wakes up at noon, tired from staying up all night and grateful that Reefside High was still on Christmas Break. That weekend he had to travel to KO-35, where Andros and Ashley were to be married. It's hard to imagine that people that were just a little younger than him were getting married. Actually it was kind of hard to imagine Power Rangers in general getting married. But John and Cassie, Joel and Angela, and Tyzonn and Vella were already married, as were Jack and Ally, although they married pretty young. Zhane and Karone were engaged. Leo and Kendrix, Carter and Dana, Tori and Blake and Nick and Maddie were all dating, heck even his former students Kira and Trent were. Wes and Jen we're trying to make some type of long distance relationship work, and Eric and Taylor were doing… something, those two had an interesting relationship, or whatever you wanted to call it.
He thought about Kat, technically the two never officially broke up, their lives just went in separate ways, her going off to London and his work with Project Hexagon and getting a doctorate from MIT in record time. They kept in contact for a while, but soon their communications became farther and fewer between until they just stopped talking. He wasn't mad about it, just sad that what they had ended without any real acknowledgement that it ended. They used to tell each other they couldn't think about marriage because they were still in High School, and then because they were Rangers, and then because of college and distance, and then they just stopped talking. He knew those were just excuses, as many of the Rangers that are in active relationships and also are active Rangers.
Actually now that he thought about it, his first few teams of Rangers didn't keep in contact with one another like the newer teams do. Part of it is because they are spread out all over the world, but still he should have tried harder to keep in contact.
"Hello Tommy" said a voice and he turns to see Zordon, and he immediately kneels "Rise, Commander" and Tommy stood up
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" Tommy asked
"A terrible evil is about to released" said Zordon
"Another one?" Tommy asked
"Actually one you've already faced" said Zordon "the demon Repulsa"
"Rita?" Tommy asked "but she's the Miracle Mother, since Your wave, she's been very helpful"
"No, Tommy" said Zordon "Repulsa is the demon that possessed Rita and is was the source of all of her powers. When My wave passed over Rita, it sealed Repulsa into the Abyss. But she will be released soon"
"I'll alert Operation Lightspeed" said Tommy "they can guard the Abyss"
"No" said Zordon
"No?" Tommy asked
"Repulsa is too powerful for Operation Lightspeed to handle, even with the help of Jason and Adam and it will take too long to gather the rest of the Hexagon"
"But then what can we do?" Tommy asked
"We will handle Repulsa the same we did all those years ago" said Zordon
"You mean…" Tommy began
"It's time to resurrect the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" said Zordon
In the Dark Man's Lair, the Dark Man performs a chant
In Blue Bay Harbor, the Abyss of Evil opens and Repulsa is released. She soon possesses a young woman named Ruby and transforms her into a new form (Rita Repulsa's look in Power Rangers, without the Green Ranger suit)
January 10
In the Aquabase II, Tommy is meeting with the entire Lightspeed team, Jason, Adam, Tom, Cam, Anton, Haley, Sky, Kat, Andrew, and Alphas 5 and 6
"Rita's back?" Jason asked
"Not Rita" said Tommy "Repulsa"
"And according to my reports" said Cam "a young woman was possessed by a demon shortly after the Abyss of Evil opened on the first of the year"
"That must have been Repulsa" said Tommy
"We must stop her" said Jason "what'd Zordon want us to do?"
"To resurrect the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" said Tommy and the others express shock
"How are we suppose to do that?" Adam asked "I mean, Jason, Tom, and I have our Powers, but the Blue, Yellow, and Pink Ranger Powers are gone, not to mention the White Ranger Power. We don't even have any Zords, except for the Dragonzord, Titanus, and Tor, we gave the Ninjazords and Shogunzords to the Aquitar Rangers"
"Zordon said by using the essence of Tyrannosaurus, Mastodon, and Dragonzord Power Coins the others could be repaired" said Tommy "although He also said that the Tigerzord Power Coin could take longer than the others due to it being forged in the White Light, which was damaged during the destruction of the Thunderzords. He also said that Alpha 5 has the plans for the Dinozords. He said that with your guys' help we should be able to figure out how to do all this"
"Operation Lightspeed can't help" said Ryan "we've still got a demon conspiracy to solve, not to mention guarding the Abyss"
"I don't think it'll be easy to reunite the others" said Adam "they're scattered all over the world"
"Not to mention who will be the Blue Ranger?" Jason asked "We can't get Billy back, he's was banned from ever being a Ranger again. And seeing we're using the Dino Power Coins, the Pterodactyl Coin is still connected to Kim"
"And you're crazy if you think we can repair the Power Coins and Zords in the time it will take to stop Repulsa" said Cam
"I know, I know, I know" said Tommy "I had the same objections, but we have to have faith. We'll need Mrs. Rawlings to help with the initial repairs and Zords, but the rest of Operation Lightspeed may continue with their mission. Zordon says that you guys should also be able to rebuild the Command Center and build a teleporter, so we can live all over the world and still be able to fight Repulsa. I haven't figured out who will be the Blue Ranger yet, but we can figure that out later. Zordon gave me this to help with the Power Transfers" and he pulls out the Sword of Light "we just need to track down Billy… and Kim. And Cam, you're right we won't be able to repair the Powers in time to stop Repulsa's first attack, but someone who knows Repulsa well has a way to stall for time"
"Who?" Jason asked
"Me" said a voice and they turn to see Rita
"You" said Jason "how can you help?"
"With this" said Rita and she pulls out a small version of her old Space Dumpster "I have used my Powers as the Miracle Mother to repower my old Space Dumpster. It won't hold her for much more than a year, but that should provide enough time to repair the Powers"
"If that takes care of everyone's objections" said Tommy "here's the assignments: Mrs. Rawlings, Cam, Dr. Mercer, Haley, Dr. Manx, Mr. Hartford, and the Alphas: your jobs will be to repair the Power Coins, Zords and Command Center. Until the Command Center is rebuilt, your base of operations will be the Delta Base, is that okay with you Commander Tate?"
"Yes" said Sky "but you'll have to make sure to stay out of the way of the politicians. They're in a frenzy because Secretary-General Ki-moon is very sick and they're trying to find someone to replace him if he dies"
"That's fine" said Tommy "Lightspeed Rangers, you will come with me to capture Repulsa and then continue your mission. Jason, Adam, and Tom, turn in your Power Coins and Morphers"
"What?" Tom asked
"We'll need the Power Morphers to learn how to repair the others" said Haley "and we'll need the Power Coins' connection to the Morphing Grid in order to figure out how to reconnect the other Power Coins back to the Morphing Grid"
"All right" said Jason as he pulls out his Power Morpher
"Fine" said Adam "but I'm coming with you as a Zeo Ranger" and he pulls out his Power Morpher as Tom does the same
"Put them in here" said Tommy and he pulls out a briefcase and unlocks it, revealing the 4 damaged Power Morphers and the Triceratops, Saber-Tooth Tiger, Pterodactyl, and Tigerzord Power Coins, along with 3 empty slots, where Jason, Adam, and Tom place their Power Morphers and Coins. Tommy locks the case "Thank you. Dr. Manx, can you secure this in your lab until the Command Center is repaired?"
"Yes, Commander" said Kat and Tommy hands her the case
"All right then" said Tommy "you have your missions, now go and may the Power protect you"
January 11
In Angel Grove, near the ruins of the Command Center, Repulsa and her host were trying to find something to rebuild her wand
"Hold it right there, Repulsa" said a voice and she turns to see Tommy, Adam, and the Lightspeed Rangers
"That's Ruby Repulsa to you" said Ruby
"Let the woman go, Repulsa" said Tommy
"She willing allowed me to possess her" said Repulsa
"Why would she do that?" Carter asked
"Power, why else?" Ruby asked
"Ready?" Tommy asked
"Ready!" said the other Rangers
"IT'S MORPHIN TIME!" said Tommy
"ZEO RANGER IV GREEN!" said Adam
"ZEO RANGER V RED!" said Tommy
"LIGHTSPEED RESCUE!" said Carter "RED RANGER, RESCUE READY!"
"BLUE RANGER, RESCUE READY!" said Chad
"GREEN RANGER, RESCUE READY!" said Joel
"YELLOW RANGER, RESCUE READY!" said Kelsey
"PINK RANGER, RESCUE READY!" said Dana
"TITANIUM POWER!" said Ryan "TITANIUM RANGER!" and they battle Ruby, but lose, badly
"You'll never beat me" said Ruby
"We don't need to" said Tommy "do it!" and the Rangers surround Ruby and Tommy tosses the Space Dumpster into the air above her. Each Ranger shoots pure energy from the Morphing Grid into it and it grows to full size and opens. It sucks Ruby in
"No!" said Ruby as the lid seals
"I NEED ZEOZORD POWER NOW!" said Tommy "ZEOZORD V!" and Zeozord V flies to the scene and Tommy jumps in. Zeozord V picks up the Space Dumpster and flies it to the Moon, where he leaves it
In the Dark Man's Lair, his henchmen report what just happened
"I'm sorry, milord" said a henchman "but Repulsa was sealed inside the Space Dumpster again"
"Sorry?" said the Dark Man "that's exactly what I wanted to happen. The Rangers don't need another villain to fight yet. They need a year off to recreate the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I need them for my plan to succeed. Now, how is Dr. K doing on Project RPM?"
"She's finally been able to tap into the Morphing Grid, with the research gained from Dr. Nakadai's Morpher" said a henchman "she's beginning to work on Ranger Operator Series Gold and Ranger Operator Series Silver. I think she'll need some type of plans to work off of to begin building Zords though"
"She'll have plans soon enough" said the Dark Man "how about the other Projects?"
"Mr. Finch has completed the base code for Northern Lights" said a henchman "and Mr. Claypool is almost done with the base code for Samaritan"
"Excellent" said the Dark Man
February 25
At the Delta Base, Angela, Cam, Anton, Haley, Kat, Andrew, and Alphas 5 and 6 are meeting in Kat's Lab with Tommy.
"How's progress?" Tommy asked
"We have completed the Command Center" said Haley "the teleportation system is not up and running yet, but will be soon. We've been studying the Power Coins that are working, but haven't figured out yet how to use that to get the other Power Coins working"
"Keep working on it" said Tommy "how about the Dinozords?"
"I've looked over the plans" said Anton "and they have some similarities to the Dinozords that you and I built, but they're entirely mechanical, while ours had Dino DNA integrated into them. Beyond that we decided to finish the Command Center first, as it'll be much easier to construct the Dinozords in the desert, rather than in the middle of New Tech City"
"Very well" said Tommy "I assume you'll be transmitting the plans for the Zords to the Command Center"
"Actually, no" said Kat "the plans for the Dinozords are currently on Venus, along with the plans to your Dinozords, Time Force requested them as they're trying to build a new Zord. Transmitting the plans across the universe isn't very secure. We're going to have the B-Squad transport them, the Power Coins, and our research to the Command Center in the SWAT Flyers and SPD Blast Buggy"
"You guys seem to have everything figured out" said Tommy "before I go, I need the Pterodactyl Power Coin"
"You know it doesn't work" said Angela
"I know" said Tommy
"Here" said Kat as she goes to the safe and opens it and pulls out a briefcase. She opens it and removes the Pterodactyl Power Coin and hands it to Tommy.
"May the Power protect you" said Tommy and he leaves. Kat places the research for the Power Coins in the briefcase and locks it.
"Meet me in the Command Center in one week" said Kat and the others leave as she takes the briefcase and heads to the command center, where she meets Sky, who calls the B-Squad to a meeting
"Cadets" said Sky "we have been tasked with an important mission: to escort the Power Coins and plans to the Dinozords to the Command Center"
"I thought we were in the command center" said Bridge
"The Command Center in Angel Grove" said Sky "as in Zordon's Command Center. You'll need to go to Venus to grab the plans to the Dinozords from Time Force, and they should be able to use their portaling technology to send you back. Now, Dr. Manx will fly the SPD Blast Buggy with the briefcases containing the Power Coins and plans in the back, which Sam and Avon will be guarding. The rest of you will be flying the SWAT Flyers, escorting the SPD Blast Buggy. You will leave within the hour"
An hour later, the Delta Base opens up and the SPD Blast Buggy rolls out, before converting to flight mode and taking off. The SWAT Flyers take off and surround it and they fly together to Venus
A few hours later, on Venus, Sam and Avon load a briefcase containing the plans to the Dinozords in the SPD Blast Buggy.
"We're sending you to the Command Center" said Captain Logan and the Transwarp Megazord walks up to the launch bay. The launch pad locks the Megazord in place and his armor comes off and lands on the end of the runway and creates a portal to Earth. The SWAT Flyers and SPD Blast Buggy line up on the runway. The Transwarp Megazord closes its visor and swings its fist at Red SWAT Flyer 1 and sends it flying towards the portal and Blue SWAT Flyer 2 gets into position. The Transwarp Megazord swings its fist at Blue SWAT Flyer 2 and sends it flying towards the portal and Green SWAT Flyer 3 gets into position The Transwarp Megazord swings its fist at Green SWAT Flyer 3 and sends it flying towards the portal and Yellow SWAT Flyer 4 gets into position. The Transwarp Megazord swings its fist at Yellow SWAT Flyer 4 and sends it flying towards the portal and Pink SWAT Flyer 5 gets into. The Transwarp Megazord swings its fist at Pink SWAT Flyer 5 and sends it flying towards the portal as the SPD Blast Buggy gets into position. The Transwarp Megazord swings its fist at the SPD Blast Buggy and sends it flying towards the portal
In the Dark Man's Lair, he chants something
In front of the portal at the Time Force Base, a purple spell seal opens in front of the SPD Blast Buggy and SWAT Flyers and they fly through before they have a chance to move out of the way
On Mercury, a purple spell seal opens and the SPD Blast Buggy and SWAT Flyers fly out. Cannons shoot them down. A couple of demons blast their way into the SPD Blast Buggy
"Stop, demon!" said Sam, but the demon shoots Avon, demorphing her "Avon!" and he goes to her side as the demons grab the briefcases and leave "No!" the other Rangers rush inside the SPD Blast Buggy. Kat checks on Avon
"She'll be okay" said Kat "but we need to go after those demons. We better report into the Commander" and she pulls out her Kat Morpher "Commander Tate, we have a problem"
"What's going on Dr. Manx?" Sky asked
"A purple spell seal opened in front of us" said Kat "and teleported us to… Mercury. We were ambushed and the briefcases were stolen by demons"
"I'll contact the commander of SPD's Mercury branch" said Sky "but you need to get those briefcases back, ASAP. And remember they're demons, so don't try to contain them, simply seal them inside the Abyss"
"Yes, Commander" said Kat and they begin to track the demons, and quickly run into a couple in SPD uniforms "I take it you are from SPD's Mercury branch"
"And I take you're Dr. Manx" said the man
"Tyzonn!" said Bridge
"You know him?" Sydney asked
"Sure" said Bridge "Tyzonn was part of the Overdrive Rangers, who I met when the Veteran Rangers were formed, although I don't know the other cadet"
"I'm Vella" said Vella "the Commander said you needed help tracking down some demons"
"Yeah" said Kat "they stole two briefcases, one containing the Power Coins, the other plans for the Dinozords"
"We'll let's get going then" said Tyzonn "SPD personnel will take care of your Zords momentarily" and he leads them to a few SPD Jeeps, similar to Earth's SPD Jeeps, but silver and white rather than black and white. They get in
"I should be able to use the UPS to track the briefcases" said Kat and she opens her Morpher and two dots appear near each other on Mercury
"What does the United Postal Service have to do with finding the briefcases?" Bridge asked "oh, you mean the Universal Positioning System" and they soon arrive to see the two demons with briefcases
"Surrender, demons" said Tyzonn
"You'll pay for hurting Avon" said Sam
"I can talk for myself Sam" said Avon "you'll pay for hurting me"
"SPD EMERGENCY!" said Bridge "SPD, B-SQUAD, RED RANGER 1!"
"SPD, B-SQUAD, BLUE RANGER 2!" said Jay
"SPD, B-SQUAD, GREEN RANGER 3!" said Irving
"SPD, B-SQUAD, YELLOW RANGER 4!" said Z
"SPD, B-SQUAD, PINK RANGER 5!" said Sydney
"FORCE FROM THE FUTURE!" said Sam "SPD OMEGA RANGER VI!"
"FORCE FROM THE FUTURE!" said Avon "SPD NOVA RANGER VII!"
"SPD KAT RANGER 99!" said Kat
"OVERDRIVE, ACCELERATE!" said Tyzonn "KICK INTO OVERDRIVE, MERCURY RANGER!"
"Delta Blasters!" said Bridge
"DeltaMax Striker: Sniper!" said Jay
"DeltaMax Striker: Blaster!" said Irving
"DeltaMax Strikers: Shot!" said Z and Sydney
"Morphers: Electro Mode!" said Sam and Avon
"Kat Stunners!" said Kat
"Drive Detector!" said Tyzonn and they fight the demons
"SPD SWAT!" said Bridge "SWAT, RED RANGER 1!"
"SWAT, BLUE RANGER 2!" said Jay
"SWAT, GREEN RANGER 3!" said Irving
"SWAT, YELLOW RANGER 4!" said Z
"SWAT, PINK RANGER 5!" said Sydney
"Delta Enforcers!" said Bridge
"DEFENDER VEST!" said Tyzonn as the armor forms around him "MERCURY SUPER OVERDRIVE RANGER! DRILL BLASTER: DRILL!"
"FIRE!" said the Rangers and blasts forced the demons to grow
"Sam, Avon" said Kat "guard the briefcases. If anyone tries to get them, Sam, I want you to teleport Avon with the briefcases to the Command Center"
"Why didn't we do that in the first place?" Sam asked
"Because… I didn't think of it" said Kat
"Should I send her now?" Sam asked
"No" said Kat "I should be the one to deliver the briefcases"
"RED SWAT FLYER 1!" said Bridge
"BLUE SWAT FLYER 2!" said Jay
"GREEN SWAT FLYER 3!" said Irving
"YELLOW SWAT FLYER 4!" said Z
"PINK SWAT FLYER 5!" said Sydney
"SPD BLAST BUGGY 99!" said Kat
"FIRE DRIVER!" said Tyzonn and he hits the GO button on his Mercury Morpher and twists the dial to 11 "RESCUE RUNNER 1!" and he hits the GO button on his Mercury Morpher and twists the dial to 12 "RESCUE RUNNER 2!" and he hits the GO button on his Mercury Morpher and twists the dial to 13 and then presses the dial in.
"SWAT MEGAZORD!" said Bridge
"FLASHPOINT MEGAZORD!" said Tyzonn and he pushes the Megazord button on his Morpher as he turns the dial to 11 12 13 and then presses the dial in. The Rescue Runners combine into the FlashPoint Megazord. The two Megazord battle the demons, but can't beat them
"FLASHPOINT BUSTER!" said Bridge and Tyzonn "FIRE!" and the FlashPoint Megazord takes the SWAT Cannon in its hand and fires lasers and water at the demons, sealing them away. Kat lands the SPD Blast Buggy and gets out. She takes the briefcases from Sam
"Sam" said Kat "I want you to teleport me to the Command Center and then fly Avon back to the Delta Base with the others in the SPD Blast Buggy"
"Okay, Kat" said Sam and he waves his hand over Kat and she teleports to the Command Center.
In the Command Center, Kat appears with the two briefcases. She sets one down on a console and opens it, revealing the Power Coins minus the Pterodactyl, as well as the research they did on them. She opens the other briefcase to reveal… nothing
"The Dinozord plans are gone!" said Kat
In the Dark Man's Lair, a henchman brings him the plans to the Dinozords
"Everything went according to plan" said the henchman "as usual. But why didn't you want the Power Coins?"
"I want the Rangers to repair them and use them for now" said the Dark Man "one day, they will all be mine anyways. Analyze them to make sure there is nothing in them that Dr. K shouldn't see and then get them to her"
February 26
In Florida, Tommy and Katherine are watching a gymnastics meet
"Thanks for inviting me along, Tommy" said Katherine
"I kind of needed you" said Tommy "you're the only one that this will work for"
"Still" said Katherine "we could have come after the meet, but sitting here with you reminds me of old times"
"Kat" said Tommy "I think I'm going to be pretty busy this year, but next year would you consider…"
"Tommy" said Katherine "the meets ending, we better get to the coach" and they get up and walk over to the coach
"I wanted to say congratulations to your team" said Tommy
"Why thank…" began the coach "You! What are you doing here?"
"We need to talk Kim" said Tommy
"Why would I want to talk to you two of all people?" Kimberly asked
"Because we're doing what you haven't done in years" said Katherine "saving the world"
"From who this time?" Kimberly asked
"Can we go somewhere private" Tommy asked
"Fine" said Kimberly and she leads them to her office and they tell her everything
"So let me get this straight" said Kimberly "the demon that possessed the witch we fought all those years ago has been released from the Abyss of Evil and has possessed someone else so you guys are resurrecting our old Powers. And instead of letting me use my Power Coin, you want me to give it to her"
"Yes" said Tommy
"Please, Kim" said Katherine "we're trying to save the world, again"
"Why can't I use it?" Kimberly asked
"You know I can't let you do that" said Tommy
"Then you know I won't allow the Power Transfer" said Kimberly "now give me my Morpher" and she grabs the Power Morpher from Kat
"Now, Tommy" said Katherine and Tommy summons the Sword of Light and touches the Power Morpher, which vanishes as the Sword of Light glows pink. Tommy touches Katherine with it and it ceases to glow pink as the Power Morpher appears on Katherine's belt. Tommy and Katherine leave as Kimberly yells at them
In the Dark Man's Lair, men in suits bring two teens to Dr. K, who is currently playing the piano and programming something.
"Dr. K" said a man "these are the test pilots for the first generation Project Ranger suits, Gem and Gemma"
"Hello" said Gem
"Dr. K" said Gemma
"We are pleased" said Gem
"To meet you" said Gemma
"Go away" said K "I have work to do"
"Speaking of which" said a man "we have plans for Zords. Do not copy them, but you may use them for inspiration" and they hand her the plans
"I'll get working on them right away" said K
February 27
In the Command Center, Tommy is meeting with Angela, Cam, Anton, Haley, Kat, Andrew, and Alphas 5 and 6
"What do you mean the plans are gone?" Tommy asked
"A purple spell seal sent us into an ambush and the briefcases were stolen" said Kat "I thought we got both of them back, but when I opened the second briefcase, the plans were gone"
"Does Time Force have copies?" Tommy asked
"No" said Kat "we didn't want them to make copies, as the more copies there are floating around, the better chances are of one of them falling into the wrong hands. They made notes before they gave us back the plans. We've already obtained the notes"
"Well at least the Power Coins are okay" said Tommy as he places the Pterodactyl Power Coin back in the briefcase with the others.
"I think we'll be okay Tommy" said Haley "Alpha 5 found a spot in the Morphing Grid for a separate set of Zords. We should be able to use the notes from the original plans"
"Along with ideas from our Dinozords" said Anton
"To build a more Powerful set of Dinozords for the Rangers" said Haley
"Do it" said Tommy
March 14
In the Dark Man's Lair, the Dark Man observes Dr. K as his henchmen, dressed up in suits, talk to Dr. K
"Happy 11th Birthday, Dr. K" said a man "how are the Zords coming along?"
"I've completed designs for the first 3 Zords" said Dr. K and she pulls them up on monitors
"Why are they numbered 11, 12, and 13, rather than 1, 2, and 3?" a man asked
"I want to save 1, 2, and 3 for Zords that I'm sure will work" said K
"You're not sure they will work?" a man asked
"They're the first Zords I've designed" said K "and I'm only 11 and I haven't been able to test them"
"Very well" said a man "we'll begin building the immediately"
"They'll have a standby mode that should be able fit in my hands" said K "they'll be activated and Powered by using the Engine Cells, which I built to be connected to the Bio Field"
"Well done" said a man "now is there anything you'd like for your birthday?"
"I want to go outside" said Dr. K
"You know you're allergic to the Sun" said a man "you can't go outside, you'll die. Here comes, Gem and Gemma, take the rest of the day off" and he leaves
"We've come" said Gem
"To wish you" said Gemma
"A Happy" said Gem
"Birthday" said Gemma
"And to give you" said Gem
"A birthday" said Gemma
"Present" they said in unison and they give her a pencil wrapped in gold and silver ribbons
"Why… thank you" said K, speechless
March 31
In Jerusalem, Merrick is meeting with Tom
"This won't take long, right?" Merrick asked "I need to get back to the Wailing Wall

"So?" Merrick asked "I mean, I don't know much about him, but he seems to committed to protecting Israel"
"He is" said Tom "and that is its own problem. Syria's leader Assad has been saber rattling Israel, and Netanyahu isn't going to put up with it for long. He'll retaliate"
"Which will give the rest of the Middle East an excuse to retaliate against Israel" said Merrick

In the Delta Base, alarms are blaring as Tommy rushes into the command center, flanked by Ryan and President Obama
"Commander Tate" said Tommy "report, now!"
"Assad had Syria's military launch a full scale assault on Israel" said Sky
"How could you let this happen?" Obama asked
"With all due respect Mr. President" said Sky "we warned you that something had to be done or war would break out"
"We can blame each other later" said Ryan
"Yes" said Obama "can you stop this before Israel does something we all regret"
"There aren't enough Rangers to fight a war against a country, Mr. President" said Tommy "and if we did, certain politicians would have us hunted down for using excessive force, most of us aren't trained to handle human threats"
"Certain politicians will have you hunted down now if you don't do anything" said Obama "get me a line to Netanyahu, now!"
"Yes, Mr. President" said Kat and Netanyahu comes up on the screen
"President Obama" said Netanyahu "how may I help you?"
"Cut the pleasantries, Netanyahu" said Obama "you know why I called"
"I suppose I do" said Netanyahu "what I don't know, is why are you calling me rather than Assad, he's the one that attacked"
"Yes" said Obama "but he doesn't have a history of retaliating using excessive force"
"No" said Netanyahu "just attacking unprovoked. And Israel also has a history of being attacked with excessive force when our borders aren't well defended. I will protect Israel, no matter the cost"
"Even if it lights the entire Middle East on fire?" Obama asked
"If you will not act, Mr. President" said Netanyahu "then I will be forced to"
"Fine" said Obama "Commander Tate, send a team of Rangers to defend Israel's border"
"Commander Oliver?" Sky asked
"No" said Tommy
"No?" Obama and Netanyahu asked in unison
"I will not involve the Rangers in a war" said Tommy "even SPD is not trained to deal with human wars. Now, if you're lucky, the Lunar Wolf Ranger may help you out, I will not interfere if he does."
"Then I will do what I must to protect Israel" said Netanyahu "whatever it takes"
"Netanyahu, I'm warning you…" said Obama, but the Netanyahu ended the call. Obama turns to the Rangers "What have you done?"
"Mr. President" said Tommy "you have the power to stop this. Just the threat of American involvement would cause Assad to hesitate. But the Power Rangers are meant to stop supernatural and extraterrestrial threats that no one else can stop, not start a war and then be used as a political weapons, like we all know they would be"
"I wouldn't…" began Obama
"Lying is unbecoming a president" said Tommy "but I suppose you are a politician. You want the Power Rangers to stop the war so we would get the bad press instead of you"
"You don't know that" said Obama as Tommy brings up an audio file on the computer
"We can get the Power Rangers to fight for us and then the political fallout with fall on them not us" said a recording of Obama
"You bugged me" said Obama "that's illegal, I'll have the FBI shut you down"
"First of all" said Tommy "we didn't bug you, we got this off of the security cameras at the entrance of the Delta Base, did you really think that just because the Delta Base doesn't have any visible surveillance, that it didn't have any, did you? Second of all, the FBI doesn't have jurisdiction in New Tech City, SPD does according to the treaty signed between SPD, Congress, President Bush, and the United Nations. Not to mention, the ground the Delta Base is on belongs to the United Nations, not the United States. Third of all, while we won't start a war, if anybody attacks us, we will defend ourselves. Do you really want to start a war with the Power Rangers, Mr. President?"
In Israel, Syrian aircraft are entering Israeli airspace and are dropping bombs. The Israeli Air Force is racing to stop them. On the ground, the Lunar Wolf Ranger pulls out his Lunar Cue
"LASER POOL!" said Merrick and he jumps into the air and he draws a massive version of the laser pool, instantly freezing all the Syrian planes in the sky "RACK 'EM UP!" and he took out his Crystals and places them on the laser pool table "LUNAR BREAK!" and the Crystals bounce from plane to plane, destroying them one by one. Merrick then turns his attention to the invading Syrian troops, and sees the Israeli Defense Force making their way towards the Syrians. Merrick uses his Lunar Cue to cut down a missile that was headed for an Israeli tank. "Follow me!" and he races into the battle, cutting down Syrians left and right
"Yeah!" said an IDF commander and he motions for his troops to follow Merrick
In the Delta Base, Tommy and the President are still arguing
"I'm going to cut Project Hexagon's funding!" said Obama
"SPD has been funding us for the last few years" said Tommy "we haven't taken any government money in quite a while. With Mr. Hartford's help, we have more money than we know what to do with"
"Then I'll revoke Project Hexagon's connection to the American military" said Obama
"Then get out!" said Tommy
"You can't order me out of here" said Obama "this is SPD's territory, as you yourself said"
"Fine, Commander Tate" said Tommy "escort the President off the premises"
"Mr. President" said Tate "I'm going to have to ask you to leave"
"Fine" said Obama "I'll go"
"Gentlemen" said Kat "I hate to interrupt this… discussion, but there's something you need to know…"
"What Dr. Manx?" Sky asked and she hesitated
"Kat?" Tommy asked
"Damascus is gone" said Kat
"Gone, what do you mean?" Obama asked
"A nuclear bomb was dropped on it…" said Kat and everyone gasped "… by Israel"

In the Delta Base, an emergency session of the United Nations General Assembly met. Tommy was also there, as the Red Zeo Ranger
"We have gathered here today to discuss the ramifications of destruction of Damascus by the State of Israel" said Deputy Secretary-General Asha-Rose Migiro, as the Secretary-General was in the hospital "First we will start by hearing from President Assad. Mr. President, first of all, I think I speak for all of us when I say, we're glad you weren't in Damascus when the bomb went off"
"Thank you Madam Deputy Secretary-General" said Assad "I am glad I wasn't in Damascus as well. I obviously condemn the unprovoked attack on my country and encourage that there be a severe punishment against the State of Israel"
"Unprovoked?!" Netanyahu screamed "we have videos of Syrian troops and planes attacking Israel"
"Sit down Mr. Prime Minister!" said Migiro "or you will be escorted off the premises. Next, I would like to hear from Prime Minister Putin"
"Thank you Madam Deputy Secretary-General" said Putin "I must agree with both Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Assad. Israel's attack on Syria was hardly unprovoked and Syria must punished for its actions. However, using a weapon of mass destruction against a capital city that ended up killing over 1.6 million, is the very definition of overkill. We must make it clear that anyone who uses weapons of mass destruction against innocents will not be held guiltless. Therefore I propose that we pass a resolution that Israel must surrender all of its nuclear weapons to the United Nations by a certain date. If Israel does not surrender its weapons by that date, a coalition of United Nations troops would take them by force"
"I second the motion" said President Ahmadinejad of Iran and the leaders and delegates of the various countries debate back and forth for a few hours. President Obama is strangely quiet, clearly trying to decide what to do. Prime Minister Netanyahu can't seem to get the floor for quite a few hours. When he finally gets the floor, he is furious
"You can't be seriously considering trying to take Israel's nuclear weapons" said Netanyahu "our nuclear arsenal is the only thing protecting the existence of Israel. If we lose our nuclear weapons, what's to stop another country like Iran from simply nuking us without fear of retaliation"
"Iran does not have nuclear weapons" said Ahmadinejad
"Not from lack of trying, or from help from Russia" Netanyahu shot back "Israel will not surrender its nuclear weapons without a fight" and the room fell silent
"Commander of the Power Rangers" said Migiro "what do you think of all this?"
"I think you've all lost it" said Tommy and the room erupted in chaos
"Commander" said Migiro "you will respect the dignified members of this Assembly, or you will leave"
"Dignified?" Tommy asked "you're all about as dignified as a bunch of swine" and once again the room erupted
"Commander" said Migiro "it is time for you to leave"
"May I remind you in whose base you are standing" said Tommy
"Russia will not be bullied by the likes of you, Ranger" said Putin "while this may be your base, we are still on the property of the United Nations"
"That can be changed" said Tommy "should I call Dr. Manx to activate the DBDS. Aquitar is such a nice place this time of year" and the room fell silent "look, I'm sorry I had to resort to threats, but I have a message and I will not tone it down so I don't hurt your precious feelings. Listen, I'm not particularly happy about Israel nuking Damascus. One of the rules of being a Power Ranger is that we don't escalate a battle unless forced to. However, if I had the same history of being persecuted that the Jews have had, I'd be quick to escalate the battle too. If you decide to pass this resolution, I want to make it clear that you will be in direct conflict with the will of the Power Rangers. However, as I told President Obama, it is not the practice of the Power Rangers to enter human wars or politics. So we will not interfere as long as you don't involve aliens or the supernatural"
"Lies!" said Assad "you sent a Ranger to kill my forces!"
"I did not send the Lunar Wolf Ranger" said Tommy "you attacked his home, so he defended it"
"It is clear we all need time to think about this" said Migiro "we will reconvene in a week"

At Reefside, Tommy is at home reading his Bible, when the wind blows and turns his Bible to Isaiah 17. He reads it and realizes what just happened. The wind blows and turns the pages to Ezekiel 38. He pulls out his phone and googles some names he finds in there. He drops his phone when realizes what's about to happen.

In the Delta Base, outside of the room that housed the General Assembly of the United Nations, Tommy pulls Obama to the side for a minute
"Can I talk to you?" Tommy asked
"I don't have time, Mr. Oliver" said Obama
"Actually, it's Dr. Oliver" said Tommy "but that doesn't matter. I'd like apologize for what I said during the attack. While I stand by my position, I was a overly harsh in what I said"
"I appreciate that, Tommy" said Obama "and I apologize for my harshness as well. However, I sense there's something more that you'd like to discuss"
"Yes, Mr. President" said Tommy "you can't let this motion pass"
"Can't?" Obama asked "while admittedly, I haven't quite made up my mind yet, why can't I?"
"You need to look at this" said Tommy and he pulled out a Bible
"A Bible?" Obama asked "why do I need to look at a Bible?"
"Do you believe in it?" Tommy asked
"I am a Christian" said Obama
"Let me show you a passage" said Tommy and he opens his Bible to Ezekiel 38 and began reading:
"The word of the Lord came to me: 'Son of man, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal…'"
"Wait" said Obama "who is Gog and where is Magog, Meschech, and Tubal"
"Those are the exact questions I had when first reading this passage" said Tommy "I had to do some digging and this is what I found. Gog is an ancient title, like a prince, which is exactly what the passage calls him. Voltaire, who keep in mind was't actually religious, wrote in his book The Philosophical Dictionary that 'it is incontestable that the inhabitants of Gaul and Spain are descended from Gomer and the Russians from Magog, his younger brothers' Genesis 10 says that Noah's son Japheth had four sons named Magog, Meschech, Tubal, and Gomer. In Josephus' Antiquities of the Jews, Book I Chapter 6, he wrote that "Magog founded those that from him were named Magogites, but who are by the Greeks called Scythians. The Scythians lived in what today is known as Russia and Islamic Central Asia. Now the word Rosh is a variation on the words Rhos, Rus, and Ros, which are all ancient names for Russia. The man Meshech went onto found a city known as Moschi, another name for Moscow. Now the modern day Russian city known as Tobolsk is port city near the Irtysh and Tobol rivers
"So Gog is a ruler, Magog and Rosh are Russia, Meshech is Moscow, and Tubal is Tubal?" Obama asked
"Right, now let me start again" said Tommy

Persia, Cush, and Put are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer and all his hordes; Beth-togarmah from the uttermost parts of the north with all his hordes—many peoples are with you…'"
"Alright" said Obama "So who are Cush, Put, and Beth-togarmah? Persia is obviously Iran, and you mentioned earlier the Voltaire thought Gomer was Gaul and Spain"
"You are correct that Persia is Iran" said Tommy "but I'm not sure the Voltaire was right about Gomer. Genesis 10 mentions one of Gomer's sons was named Ashkenaz and we know that the Ashkenazi people migrated to what is today known as Germany and Austria. According to Josephus, the Cushites settled into what today is known as Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Sudan. He also thought that Phut was the found of Libya, which would also include modern day Tunisia and Algeria. As for Beth-togarmah, ancient Armenian literature refers to its land as the House of Togarmah"
"Okay, I'm following" said Obama and Tommy continued to read

"Then I will strike your bow from your left hand, and will make your arrows drop out of your right hand. You shall fall in the open field, for I have spoken, declares the Lord God. I will send fire on Magog and on those who dwell securely in the coastlands, and they shall know that I am the Lord."
"Let me get this straight" said Obama "you think that Russia and most of the Middle East, along with parts of Europe are going to team up and attack Israel. And you think the Bible predicted thousands of years ago?"
"Yes, Mr. President" said Tommy
"And you want me to stand by Israel, a nation that used a weapon of mass destruction on a city with 1.6 million people in it, just because it appears some old prophecy is about to come true?" Obama asked "I'm sorry Tommy, but I can't base American policy on a prophecy"
"It's not the only one" said Tommy "another just came true recently" and he shows him Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49
"So what" said Obama "Damascus had to come down some time, no city can last forever"
"But Damascus practically has" said Tommy "it was the oldest continually habited city on Earth. And look, the Bible talks about how it was destroyed with fire, and that no one will inhabit it again. With the nuclear radiation, no one will be able to enter Damascus for hundreds of years, let alone live in it"
"I'm sorry, Tommy" said Obama "unless you have something more concrete, I'm afraid I must go"
"There is one other thing to consider" said Tommy
"What?" Obama asked
"The Sampson Option" said Tommy
"You don't think they would…" said Obama
"They're desperate" said Tommy "if this passes, they will be defenseless against any nation with nuclear powers. And I'm sure I don't need to remind you, that releasing all their nuclear weapons at once would cause enough nuclear radiation to kill us all"
"You've given me a lot to think about" said Obama "but now I must go" and he enters the General Assembly room as Tommy prays for him, and for Israel.

"As to the Resolution to compel the State of Israel to fully disclose and subsequently surrender any and all stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction by June 1 of this year" said Migiro "how does the Republic of Austria vote?"

"I should've guessed that" said Netanyahu "well, I really don't have time to talk to you, unless you've got Powers"
"I do" said Tom "and I would help, but my Powers are currently being used elsewhere. I've made the Middle East my home, I don't want it to go to more war anymore than you do"
"Listen, Tom" said Netanyahu "unless there's a point to this, I'm busy. Some idiot put Putin in charge of trying to confiscate our nuclear weapons and he has not only Russia, but Iran, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Turkey, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Sudan, Armenia, Germany, and Austria preparing to attack tomorrow, and I've got to defend my country, or do the next best thing"
"Mr. Prime Minister" said Tom "you can't be seriously considering the Sampson Option"
"Let's just say if I can't save Israel" said Netanyahu "then I'm taking our enemies with me"
"Mr. Prime Minister" said Tom "do you remember the prophecy in Ezekiel 38-39?"
"Refresh my mind" said Netanyahu and Tom tells him about who the various countries that are mentioned in Ezekiel 38-39 "you mean, that this attack was prophesied by Ezekiel?"
"Yes, Mr. Prime Minister" said Tom "you don't need the Samson Option, you need to have faith in God"
"I'll… think about it" said Netanyahu "listen, Tom, if you're not doing anything, could you stay with my advisors and me for the next day or so"

In the White House, President Obama is alone in the Oval Office and hears a noise and looks up to see a red light, with Tommy emerging from it
"Who let you in?" Obama asked
"I teleported" said Tommy
"You got the teleporter working?" Obama asked "can you use it teleport any weapons of mass destruction away from the battle tomorrow?"
"No" said Tommy "it's not perfectly stable yet. It can teleport small things if it has there exact location, but it's not ready to teleport a nuke, even if it could get a lock, the nuke may go off mid-teleport, and I don't think either of us want to think about the consequences of a nuke going off mid-teleport. If you want to stop this war, you still can. Stand with Israel, even Putin isn't crazy enough to risk a full scale war against America"
"I've done what I can, Dr. Oliver" said Obama "I've used our forces in the Middle East to make sure Iraq and Afghanistan stay out of the battle, but I can do no more"
"How is history going to remember you, Mr. President?" Tommy asked "let me tell you, God will protect Israel, but will you be remembered as a hero who stood with Israel or as a coward who abandoned them in their darkest hour?" and he teleports away in red light

In Russia, Putin talks to a military aid
"Mr. Prime Minister" said the aid "the weapons are ready, but I'm not sure the United Nations will stand for using weapons of mass destruction against Israel"
"In the aftermath" said Putin "no one will be able to tell who started it, and only one nation has recently used a nuclear bomb against another nation. Prepare to launch"
In Jerusalem, Merrick prepares to morph when he is teleported away in silver light and he appears in the Council's chamber
"Oh, it's you" said Merrick "you do realize I was about to protect the chosen ones, right?"
"Yes" said Michael "but God will be the one to save Israel, not you. The Glory must go to Him alone, and it can't do that with a Megazord cutting down missiles"
"Oh" said Merrick "can I go back, then?"
"You promise not to interfere?" Michael asked and Merrick nodded "very well" and Merrick is teleported to the Wailing Wall, where he falls on his face and prays
In the Delta Base, Sky, Tommy, and Obama are watching the situation in the command center
"Thank you for inviting me, Dr. Oliver" said Obama
"I'm surprised you came" said Tommy
"Let's just say if Israel launches the Samson Option" said Obama "I'm more confident in your technology than I am in America's"
"Yes" said Tommy "we'll survive, as should most of the Rangers. The various scientists are in the Command Center, which is virtually indestructible from the outside. The Space and Galaxy Rangers are off world. The Lightspeed Rangers are in the Aquabase II, which, unless directly hit, should survive. Most of the Time Force Rangers are off world. The Miracle Rangers are in the Miracle Realm, which has temporarily sealed off itself from the rest of the world. The Overdrive Rangers are in their Base, which is far enough underground to survive. But I have faith that God won't allow the world to go up in flames, yet"
"If you have such faith, why are you hiding in the Delta Base?" Obama asked
"Because I do want to monitor this battle" said Tommy "and this is the best place in the world to do that"
In an underground base in Israel, Netanyahu and Tom are monitoring the battle
"Mr. Prime Minister" said an aid "Russia and several of the other countries in Putin's army have just launched nuclear missiles at us"
"Prepare to launch" said Netanyahu
"Mr. Prime Minister…" said Tom
"Don't" said Netanyahu "the situation has changed, I thought Putin would merely lead a massive army against us, but he's trying to wipe us off the map. If he does, I'm taking him with me"
In the Delta Base, alarms are blaring
"Mr. President" said Sky "Russia and her allies have just launched hundred of nuclear missiles against Israel. And it seems Israel is getting ready to retaliate," but Obama doesn't respond
In Israel, an aid comes up to Netanyahu
"We're ready to launch" said the aid, but Netanyahu freezes "sir, we need your order to launch the missiles" but Netanyahu doesn't move
In the Delta Base, more alarms go off
"Mr. President" said Sky "a massive storm just appeared above Russia and the other countries in the coalition"
"Where did that come from?" Obama asked
"That's just it, Mr. President" said Sky "it wasn't there a few minutes ago"
In Russia, alarms are blaring
"Mr. Prime Minister" said an aid "a massive storm has just appeared"
"Storms do not frighten me" said Putin
"But sir" said the aid "all of our nuclear missiles, are gone" and Putin froze
In Germany and Austria, massive flaming meteorites hit various targets, destroying them. The targets include the Reichstag as well as many of the old concentration camps and all of the military bases.
In Iran, the meteorites hit many government buildings in Tehran and destroyed all the military bases
In Russia, meteorites ruin the Kremlin as well as all the military bases and nuclear labs
In Jerusalem, meteorites obliterate the Dome of the Rock as an earthquake rips through Israel
In the Delta Base, everyone is frozen with shock at what is happening
In the underground bunker in Israel, the earthquake ends as everyone is celebrating the victory
June 2
In the Dark Man's Lair, he is observing the aftermath of the previous days' battle
"What's the latest report?" the Dark Man asked
"All of the countries that joined Putin's coalition against Israel lay in complete ruin" said a henchman "Putin is dead, as are Ahmadinejad and the Ayatollah"
"This may just be the opportunity I've been looking for" said the Dark Man "how are the Zord Attack Vehicles coming along?"
"The test of the Paleozord failed" said the henchman "it went out of control. Dr. K believe it has something to do with using Dinosaur DNA that we salvaged from the Dino Thunder Rangers' Dinozords. She's working on Zords for Ranger Operator Series Gold and Silver and believes that because she's using DNA from modern animals, that it should work. We've turned the Paleozord back into its small form and locked it away"
"Make sure she get these ones to work" said the Dark Man "we're running out of time, we only have a couple of years left until we need these"
July 1
The Dark Man wakes up to see an even darker being before him
"Lucifer" said the Dark Man as he kneels
"We're going on a trip" said Lucifer and he teleports them to a desert "I will return for you in 40 days" and he teleports away
"Don't leave me!" said the Dark Man "we'll I'll just return home" and he chants something, but nothing happens "where's the spell seal? My powers are gone!"
August 1
In the Dark Man's Lair, Dr. K is working on the Ranger Operators when a butterfly lands on her keyboard. It flies away and she follows it. She find a way out of the Alphabet Soup facility into the sunlight. She realizes she isn't allergic to the sun and vows to find a way to free Gem, Gemma, and herself. She goes back to her Lab and opens two files that Alphabet Soup didn't realize she had access to: Projects Northern Lights and Samaritan. Then she accesses a file they gave her many years ago: Project Venjix
August 9
In the desert, Lucifer returns to the Dark Man, who by now is starving
"If you are my chosen one, tell these rocks to become bread" said Lucifer
"Rocks I command you to become bread" said the Dark Man and they do. He quickly eats them up "I am a god!" Lucifer takes the Dark Man to the Temple Mount, where the Dark Man notices the Temple has been rebuilt
"If you are my chosen one" said Lucifer "jump off the Temple and you will not hit your foot on a rock" and the Dark Man jumps off and as he reaches the bottom, he slows to a stop, landing softly on the ground. Lucifer teleports them to a high mountain and uses his powers to let the Dark Man see the entire world at once "If you bow down and worship me, I'll give you all these things"
"My lord and savior" said the Dark Man as he bows before Lucifer and worships him.
"You will now have access to some of my powers as well as your own" said Lucifer "increasing your previous powers hundredfold" and he teleports the Dark Man back to his Lair. The Dark Man checks the news and sees the Temple has not been rebuilt, although there were talks about rebuilding it, and wonders what exactly just happened
September 29
In the Delta Base, Tommy and Sky observe the United Nations General Assembly as they discuss current events
"The United Nations is falling apart" said Tommy
"Indeed" said Sky "with Russia withdrawing as a permanent member of the Security Council, there is about to be a civil war over who replaces them"
"At least they replaced Secretary-General Ki-moon after he had to resign due to the illness" said Tommy "I thought they'd go to civil war over that"
"What do you think of Mohammed Rossi as the Secretary General?" Sky asked
"Not sure yet" said Tommy "he hasn't done much yet besides keep the UN from tearing itself apart, which I admit is quite an accomplishment in and of itself. But he's going to have his hands full, as I have a feeling the United Nations is going to need a complete overhaul before it can settle down"
December 31
In the Command Center, Tommy was worried. While the new Dinozords were mostly done, the Power Morphers were repaired, and the teleporter was stable, but they still haven't been able to fix the Power Coins. He hadn't decided on a suitable replacement to use the Blue Ranger Powers either. Repulsa was going to be released soon, and they were running out of time…
