It's been four long years but to Roxas it's felt so much longer. Roxas felt a sharp pain in chest as he stared out the window of the local coffee shop by the University. Across the busy street stood someone from his past; someone he thought he would never see again. 'Axel.' The blond thought, dropping his green tea frappuccino onto to his shoes. The blond jumped, grimacing at the mess. He looked back up and groaned to see that the redhead was gone. He silently cursed, grabbed some napkins and cleaned up the mess with the help of an employee.

He swore he saw Axel just now. It's been four years since he last saw the man. He remembered it like it was yesterday. Axel leaving his house while at the same time breaking his heart. He remembered being yelled out and having his room stripped of anything his parents found entertaining. They even took his bedroom door stating he doesn't deserve privacy anymore. He lost their trust and it took him a year to get his father's back. His mom on the other hand, she was stubborn to the very end. Did he miss her after she passed away from a tumor? Of course he did, he loved her no matter how cruel he thought she treated him after that day. He remembered going with his father to clean out her office and finding something that belonged to Axel. He remembered watching his father sell the bakery and eventually the house. So much has changed since that day. He has changed as well.

He isn't the same teenaged he once was. He has matured and can finally see why Axel kept telling him to wait until he was of age. Axel was scared and wanted Roxas to understand what the repercussions were. Sure he figured it out back then but there was more to it. It wouldn't have matter if he gave consent his parents could said Axel manipulated him to say those things. They could have put him away. Roxas threatened to kill himself everything they brought it up. He wouldn't have done it but he wasn't thinking as all he wanted to do was protect Axel. The threats of course put him in the hospital for a while but it was worth it. He felt guilty for taking up the time of doctors though.

When Roxas left the shop he crossed the street and looked around the area. No redhead in site. "It better not be dreaming again." He muttered to himself as he walked down the street to the bus stop. He had finished school only about a week ago. The blond decided he like business and from there on he studied hard and eventually got an internship with Zack's Hotels. It was a blooming company, with hotels popping in almost every city. And Roxas was lucky to be apart of it. He was even promised full time employment once his internship was over.

The bus arrived and Roxas got on. The blond took another bus before he walked to his apartment. Once he was inside he gladly let himself lay on the couch while he kicked his shoes off. Roxas began to think of Axel again. The man looked the same as he did back then if not a little taller. Oh how he missed him. Sure the blond had a relationship or two some time later but they could never compare to his feelings towards Axel. The man was always on his mind. He felt sick because he feared he was obsessed with the man. Studying was a great distraction for him.

"I wonder how he's been all this time? Is he married? Does he have kids? Or is he still single? Does he remember me at all? I doubt it. It would be nice if he did." Roxas said to himself as he lazily looked at his TV screen. "Man I miss him."

"Miss who spiky butt?" A dirty blond asked Roxas.

"Nobody Hayner. What are you doing home? Don't you have work today?" Roxas asked his friend and roommate.

"Didn't feel like going, so sue me." Hayner shrugged his shoulders and wandered into the kitchen. "So hey, did you see the new neighbor? He moved upstairs and looks like he's a party animal. I'm just glad he doesn't have any rugrats to stomp on the ceiling like the last people did. God that was annoying. And if the dude is a party animal then maybe we have some fun over the summer. Just working isn't going to cut it for me." Hayner rambled while he drug around in the fridge for food that wasn't there. He rolled his eyes and looked in the freezer, taking a hot pocket out and cooking it in the microwave.

Roxas chuckled and rolled onto his side. Hayner was right to complain and hope. Their last neighbors were horrible people. He couldn't count how many times he had been woken up by crying, yelling, pounding feet, or police sirens. Eventually the landlord kicked them out for breaking so many rules in their contract. The children were even taken away to live with another relative. Or so Roxas heard the noisy housewives say as they tend to gossip. He was hopeful their new one wouldn't make too much of a racket at night. He also hoped that the guy had normal job and wasn't the party animal Hayner was wishing for.

"I didn't see him. We'll probably run into each one day. For now I'm going to lay here until I die. Or until I feel like moving to my bed. I haven't decided yet." Roxas jokingly said as he sat to allow Hayner to sit down

"You've become lazier than I have. I swear it's like you're married to that thing. You better not be screwing it." Hayner wrinkled his nose, teasing and elbowing Roxas.

Roxas rolled his eyes, grabbed a pillow and held it against himself. Hayner raised brow at the blond before he proceeded to laugh as Roxas pretended to make out with the cushion. The blond stopped, smacked Hayner with the pillow and got up to find something to fill his empty gut. The blond groaned when he found everything to be empty. "You took the last hotpocket. Damn it Hayner, we made an agreement that who so ever buys it gets the last of it."

"Hey I haven't eaten all day. Do you want me to waste away?" Hayner defended himself, stuffing the rest of the food in his mouth.

Roxas smacked his head against the freezer door. "If you went to work I'm pretty sure Pence would have fed you something, or Olette for that matter. When are you two going to settle down anyway?" Roxas opened the cabinets and cupboards but to no avail. The blond pouted, and went back to the couch, being sure to slam himself onto it.

Hayner smacked his forehead and ran it through his greasy hair. He groaned and threw his head back, wincing when he hit it on back of the couch. "I don't know man. I don't feel like asking her or anything. I love her ya know, but I like being a slightly free man." Hayner lolled his head, examining the other blond. "And what about yourself? When are you going to start dating again? It's been almost a year since you broke up with Pence."

Pinching the bridge of his nose, Roxas exhaled his exhaustion. "I know, I know, I just don't feel up to dating right now. How is he anyway? He avoids me like the plague. He made me a promise that if we dated and it didn't work out, we'd still be friends. And yet her we are now, not talking because he doesn't want to see me."

"He's fine and I know what you mean. It's a dick move considering you didn't do anything but break his heart." Hayner almost bitterly stated, kicking his feet onto the coffee table.

Roxas groaned, smacked his friend with a pillow again and got up from his spot. Roxas walked around the sofa and sat on the ground to put his shoes back on. "Hey at least I warned him that I was losing interest before breaking it off. He should have got the message. Like you can talk anyway, you hurt him more than I did. You guys dated for what? All of high school? I think we shouldn't date in our circle of friends anymore."

"And yet he hurt Olette…dude this sounds so wrong on many levels. We all practically fucked each other." Hayner laughed, falling onto the floor from laughing to hard.

Roxas shuttered, walked toward the door and opened it. He paused before going out to tell Hayner, "I never fucked Pence. And no he never fucked me. We had an agreement to wait a year to see if it worked out. You know how the rest goes."

"We're ya going party pooper?"

"To get some food shit head."

Three hours later had Roxas walking back home. The blond was so tired it was a curse not having a car anymore. He used to have one when college started but falling behind in payments meant he either had to drop out or get rid of his baby. He missed his car more than missing the food that once filled the apartment before he agreed to let Hayner stay with him. The guy wasn't supposed to stay more than a semester and yet here he was, still there. He was lucky he was Roxas best friend other wise he'd be on the streets or sleeping on his parents' couch.

As Roxas walked along the side walk, he decided to gaze up at the stars at just the right time. 'Axel?!' The blond saw a flash of bright red disappear into the second floor building. The one just above his own complex. "Okay, I must be seen things but…"

Roxas took a deep breath and marched toward the stairs. Nervous hands grabbed the rail while his legs took hesitant steps up the stoned stairs. Sweat covered his palms, his pulse picked up and his body quivered the closer he got to the second floor. He heard noise coming from the apartment, muffled talking and glass clanking against glass. Whoever is in there was still unpacking. The blond felt like backing out. 'What if it's not him and I end up disturbing the person. I know I hated it when the old neighbors wouldn't leave me alone when I was unpacking. Shit, I should just go back home and sleep.' He thought, frowning at the door he was standing in front of. 'But what if it is him? Will you remember me?' Roxas hand raised, finger extended, stretched out and pressed the door bell. 'Will you know who I am after all these years?'

The sound of a well place curse could be heard on the other side. Foot steps approached the door. It felt like time was purposely going slow. Roxas awaited with baited breath as the sound of the lock clicked and the door finally opened to reveal a tall redhead. "Can I help you?" The man asked, his icy blue eyes gazing down at the trembling blond.

"Axel?" Roxas questioned, carefully examining the man before him. He was tall like Axel and had the same hair color. He even shared his looks. The only difference Roxas noticed was his eye color and facial tattoos. They weren't on his cheek and they weren't the same color. This man had them along the bottom of his eyes. Eyes that told Roxas he was bothering the man. 'He's not him.' The blond thought feeling completely dejected.

The man furrowed his brows, wonder written on his face. "Huh? Axel? I'm afraid I don't know any Axel. You got the wrong place kid." He put his hand back on the handle, ready to shut the door on the blond. However, a door opening and closing behind him cause him to rolling his head and eyes. "Damn it." He cursed as the sound of more foot steps came from behind him.

"I thought I asked you not to answer the door." A deep smooth voice commented on the open door.

The other man chuckled and looked back at the voice. He shrugged his shoulders, hand still on the doorknob. "Well you were busy so I figured why not get rid of the pest for you."

Roxas snapped his head up, glowering at the asshole in front of him. "Sorry for being a bother." Roxas harshly remarked.

"Reno get the fuck inside so I can apologize for you, again." The voice demanded. A hand grasped Reno's shoulder and forced him to take a step back. Reno rolled his eyes, glanced back at Roxas, Ave him a once over again, and walked away saying something about annoying brothers and jailbait blonds.

The whole time he was as stiff as Hayner's jokes. Wide eyes were staring at the second redhead that had appeared behind and got rid of Reno. He had a mane of wet and wild red locks running down his back. His had beads of water all over his exposed torso, legs, neck, and arms. The only place that seemed to be covered was below his waist line. The man was holding his towel firmly in place, his sharp green eyes staring down at the flabbergasted blond. The man raised a fine brow quizzically. The shorter male looked somewhat familiar to him. The blond spiky hair and doe like eyes gave him a sense of déjà vu. "Do I know you? You seem oddly familiar."

Roxas swallowed hard. The blond didn't know if he should feel offended or not. Offering a small smile Roxas shook his head. Of course Axel wouldn't remember him it's been years since they last saw each other and even then the blond was only a part of Axel's life for a weeks. Weeks he spent avoiding the redhead until that one fateful morning. "No, sorry I was just going introducing myself as your down stairs neighbor. I thought I would catch you at a good time but I suppose not. I'm sorry for disturbing you." The blond sheepishly rubbed the back of his head, being sure he didn't stare at Axel's dreamy body, least he blush harder than he already was.

The redhead raised his brow again in wonder. "Oh no its fine. But really, are you sure we haven't met somewhere?"

Roxas made contact with curious emerald. His cheeks felt like they were on fire and his heart wouldn't stop banging against his chest. It was as if it was a caged animal trying to gain it's freedom. 'Dear God, please let him remember me.' "Well, we have actually but it's alright if you don't remember me. It's not like I was anything." The blond lightly chuckled, his nerves getting the best of him as he felt sweat run down his face and palms.

"Wait, hold on, give me a second." Axel said, waving a hand out while the other rubbed his temple, eyes closed in concentration. The blond let out and audible sigh. And as if like magic, Axel snapped his fingers and cursed. "Holy fuck!" He said, face and tone full of shock. Roxas flinched from the out burst and took a a step away from the surprised redhead.

"I think I should-"

"Roxas?" Axel questioned the blond, giving him another once over before quickly slamming the door in the blond's face.

"What. The. Fuck?"
