Roxas stormed down to his apartment, unlocked his door and slammed it shut behind himself. If that wasn't enough for Hayner to know the blond was mad then cursing and grumbling about asshole redhead's did. Roxas kicked off his shoes and stomped his feet down the hall until he got to his room. Another slam of the door had Hayner up on his feet and marching after his friend. The sandy blond man knocked on the door before opening it. There Roxas had buried his face in his pillow, screaming at the top of lungs like an angsty teenager.

"Alright, what went up your ass and died?" Hayner asked Roxas, taking a seat on the edge of the plush queen sized bed.

Roxas rolled over and threw his pillow at his friend. The blond stared up, glaring at the ceiling. He had a feeling the room above his own must belong to Axel. He didn't think the other redhead had any real say on which room he got; seen on how irritated Axel got at him for answering the door. Maybe it was his lover and Axel didn't want Roxas to be known as the mistake in his life. Or maybe Reno, 'was that his name?' was his brother or something. They did look a lot alike in a way so what if Axel didn't want Reno to know about him. Either way, the blond felt like Axel didn't want anything to do with him anymore.

"Leave me alone to die." Roxas monotonely said, ignoring how Hayner tossed the pillow back on his face.

"Man you've got to stop watching Lilo and Stitch. It's never good when you get into one of your little moods." Hayner rolled his eyes and pulled the pillow off of Roxas' head. The blond poked Roxas' side, earning a scowl. "Talk dude or do you plan to mope all night?"

Roxas sighed and sat up. He ran a hand through his messy spikes, eyes staring at his pants. "Long story short, our neighbors are asses. I go up there to introduce myself, get treated like a child, and then get the door slammed in my face! Fucking redheaded ass fuckers!" The blond yelled, cursing up at the ceiling, middle finger extended.

Hayner stared at his friend, then the ceiling. "Can you yell a little louder? Didn't quite hear that." The blond teased, picking his ear with his pinky.

Roxas huffed, lay back down and held his pillow to his chest. "Ha ha ha, very funny. I hope they heard me." He said when in reality Roxas prayed they didn't. "I guess I'll shower then sleep. A nap will do me some good."

"Whatever you say buddy. I'm heading out."

"Olette?"

"The one and only. See ya Rox, don't die while I'm out." Hayner joked, dodging as Roxas flinged the pillow at him.

The blond stayed on his bed for a few more minutes before he heard Hayner calling out to him. Perking his head up, Roxas rolled off the mattress and sauntered to the door that was muffling whatever Hayner was saying. "What?" Roxas asked, his head poking out of his room.

"I said Sora's here and he doesn't look to happy. I'd stay but you know, date and time and all that stupid shit." Hayner called back before the sound of the front door almost slammed shut.

Roxas inwardly groaned. Sora was someone he had befriended his freshman year of college. The brunet was as nice as anyone could be without being an air head. He knew when to say no and knew when he shouldn't trust people. He had a slight temper but not as bad as Roxas' own. And it only ever came about when his friends were being mistreated. However, Sora rarely let his emotions get the best of him, so knowing that he didn't look happy put Roxas on edge.

It wasn't like the blond wasn't concerned with his friend's well being, it was simply an inconvenient time as the blond was in a bad place himself. Then again, Sora had always been there for him and would set aside his own troubles to let the blond get everything off his chest. Roxas figured he should do the same and set aside his Axel problem for now. It was time he let Sora vent for once.

Roxas walked down the small hall, spying his spiky haired friend sitting on the couch looking sullen. His bright blue eyes were down cast to lap, hands clenching onto his pants, and his lower lip was trembling. Tear drops fell from his chin, landing on his almost white Knuckles.

"Sora?" The blond started, taking a seat beside the brunet. "Hey, what's the matter?" He asked carefully.

Sora raised his head with a small smile on his wet face. "Hey Roxas. Sorry to drop by out of know where but-"

Roxas shook his head, ignoring the thumping going on above them. "Don't worry about it."

Sora glanced up and let out a small laugh, trying to avoid Roxas question for as long as he could. "What's going on up there? New neighbors?"

Roxas felt his left eye twitch. He didn't want to think about Axel right now. It was Sora time, not his own. "Yeah, something like that. Sora, are you going to explain to me what's up? Did Riku do something again? I swear I'm going to shove his own dick up his ass if he upset you again." The blond seethed.

Sora let out a weak laugh, eyes down cast again. "No, Roxas he didn't do anything this time. I broke up with him." Sora sniffled, bring his fingers up to wipe his tears away.

Roxas sighed in relief for more than one reason. He didn't care for Riku all that much. He was a good guy but he wasn't right for Sora. He was a little too protective over him to he point where it was almost like he was possessive of the brunet. It got to the point where Riku would 'accidentally' hit Sora whenever he went out with other friends without Riku knowing. Sora never told anybody about it because he didn't want everyone to think Riku was a bad guy. He didn't want to ruin any friendships. Roxas only knew about it because he saw it happen first hand. Ever since then Roxas and Riku weren't on speaking terms.

"I told him I didn't love him anymore. But he's still my best friend. We had an argument and I left. The thing is Roxas, I guess I started to fall for Kairi. She doesn't know I like her or anything else. I couldn't tell Riku either. The three of us, I don't want to destroy it." Sora admitted, laying back on the couch, his eyes shut.

Roxas leaned back as well, and stared up at the ceiling. More thumping could be heard. The blond didn't know what to say to his friend. Then again, he probably didn't need to say anything. He just needed to listen to him was all. "You know you can stay here for as long as you like. Let Riku cool off for awhile."

"Thanks for listening Roxas." Sora smiled.

"Anytime."

"Hey Roxas?"

"Yeah?"

"You looked kinda down yourself. Is there anything you need to get off your chest? I'll listen if you want me to." Sora offered.

Roxas was tempted, he really was yet he didn't quite feel up to talking about it. He wanted to lighten the mood up. The blond shook his head, lightly laughed and grabbed the remote. "I'm good Sora."

"You sure?"

"Mhm. I just don't like the neighbors again." Roxas yawned out, clicking the tv on.

Sora chuckled, rolling his eyes as a louder thump was heard. It was followed but a loud curse and door slamming. "How long have they been up there?" Sora questioned, eyes looking up.

"They just moved today I think. That's probably what all the noise is. Hayner is hoping for party animals." Roxas elaborated while stopping on FX where Archer was on.

Sora hummed before he got up and wandered to the kitchen for a glass of water. "Did you meet them already?"

"Yes."

Sora opened his mouth to say something but the sound of his phone going off stopped him. He pulled his cell phone out and slowly walked back to where Roxas sat. Roxas raised a brow at him and took the phone when Sora handed it to him. Riku's name and picture flashed on the screen. Roxas told Sora not to bother answering it to which Sora agreed to. The blond shut the thing off and let Sora lean on him while he turned into a puddle of self pity.

The rest of the night the two spent watching random things on tv until Sora said he was tired. Roxas pulled out the bed from the couch while Sora went to go change into something more comfortable. When he came back out, Roxas was in the hall grabbing a towel.

"Thanks again Roxas."

"Mm, anytime Sora. I'm going to go take shower. Hayner may or may not be back tonight so don't be surprised if he knocks on the door instead of using his keys." Roxas rolled his eyes, laughing as he went into his room.

Sora got to work setting his bed up. The brunet grabbed sheets and blankets from the hall closet. Once he was done, he turned his phone on again, frowning when he saw thirty missed calls and twenty texts from Riku. He had one or two from Kairi, most likely her asking if he was alright. "Damn it Riku, why did you have to get her involved." Sora asked himself, putting his phone off to the side.

The brunet reached for the remote and began to channel surf. Thumping could once again be heard above. The sound of a door shutting and then the steel thuds of someone walking down the stairs. Sora perked up and walked toward the door, curious as to what the noisy neighbor looked like. He peeked through the peep hole only to jump back as he saw a man with flaming redhair standing on the other side of the door.

The man knocked twice before Sora gazed behind himself. Roxas was still in his room, probably still in the shower. As guest it would be rude to answer the door, but it would also be rude to ignore it when the person could no doubt hear the tv on. Sora groaned, furiously scratching at his head. There was another knock and it gave way to what the brunet would do.

Sora rolled his shoulders, unlocked and opened the door. "Can I help you?" He asked, staring up at the taller man before him.

Axel rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. Sora raised a brow, widening the door just a bit. The redhead averted his gaze from shorter man, as if he didn't know the reason he had knocked this late at night in the first place. It was more like a whim that he showed up on the door step. His behavior was starting to weird Sora out.

"Not to be rude but if it's nothing then good night." Sora stated, his guard up as he almost shut the door.

"Wait!" Axel barked out, his hand out stretched in sudden panic.

Sora paused, regarding the redhead. "Yes?"

Axel dropped his arm and scratched at his cheek nervously. He glanced behind himself at the apartment across from them before he set his gaze back to Sora. "This is- Is Roxas home?" He finally asked.

Sora blinked a couple of times, nodding his head. "Yeah but he's kinda busy at the moment. You're the guy that's been making all that noise aren't you? The new neighbor?" He asked, tilting his head to the side.

"That's me. Sorry about that, my brother Reno isn't one for manners. I'm Axel by the way."

Sora took Axel's hand and shook it. "I'm Sora."

"Pleasure." Axel said, a smile on his face. "I guess I'll come back tomorrow if he's busy." He said, shrugging his shoulders.

"I'll let him know you stopped by." Sora replied a friendly grin gracing his features.

"Sora? Who are you talking to?" Roxas called from down the hall.

"Oh guess he isn't busy anymore." Sora laughed.

The blond wandered down the hall, pulling the towel that was on his head down to his shoulders. His wet hair dripped onto his sky blue shirt while his black sweats dragged at his heels. Roxas gazed up from the carpet, looking toward his friend and the door. The younger male froze in his steps as his eyes focused on who was behind Sora.

"Axel, he came down asking for you." Sora replied. He didn't notice the small scowl Roxas was giving the other man as he stepped aside to allow Roxas a better view.

"Isn't it a little late to be knocking on a stranger's door?" Roxas asked, his glare never lifting as Axel stood there, looking out of place.

Axel scratched his right cheek, eyes averted to the door. "Okay, I deserve that." He weakly chuckled. "You're mad at me because I slammed the door in your face but come on, you can't tell me you wouldn't have done the same if it were the other way around. I mean, Roxas, it's been years since we last saw each other and it wasn't on a particularly good note."

Roxas dropped his scowl and walked toward the door. Sora, not wanting to get in between the two men, scurried out of the way, running toward the bathroom where he locked himself in. The blond was now standing in front of Axel silently. Taking a calming breath, Roxas stared up at the man from his past. "You know," He started calmly, "you're right. If it were the other way around I guess I'd be as shocked as I was when I saw you up stairs. I probably would have slammed the door in your face but the difference between you and me…I would have opened back up instead of waiting hours to come down here!" The blond seethed and slammed the door in Axel's face.

Roxas quickly locked it, watching as the door knob rattled about. He turned on his heel, ignoring how Axel was calling his name and banging on the door. He wanted to open it back up, he really did but his stubborn pride wouldn't let him. Instead Roxas walked back down the hall to his bedroom. Sora came out of the bathroom and joined him on the bed. The brunet glanced to the hall then back at the pouting blond, confusion written all over his face.

"What was the about?" He asked his sulking friend.

Roxas gave him a small smile and shook his head. "It's nothing really. I knew him when I was in high school and well, it's all in the past. I'll talk to him tomorrow if he's willing to get past my mini revenge for earlier today."

Sora laughed and poked Roxas' cheek. "Talk about being childish. Well, whatever. If it's not a big deal I'll leave it at that. Good night Rox."

"Good night Sora."

Roxas rolled on his back, groaning for the with time that day. It was five in the morning and the blond just couldn't get back to sleep. He had work in three hours and wished he could have slept a little longer. He stared at the ceiling above him, knowing that Axel was probably up there. He wondered if he could sleep either or if he was thinking about the blond as much as Roxas was thinking about him.

He wished he let Axel inside so they could talk. Talk about what? He didn't have a clue. All Roxas knew was that he wanted to see the man again. He plagued his dreams years, even when Roxas had moved on, Axel some how came into his dirtiest dreams.

Rolling to his side, Roxas pondered something he hadn't before. He wondered if maybe he just had lusty feelings towards the man and nothing more. Or maybe he needed Axel to fully reject him. Back then, he didn't do that at all.

"So you regret it?"

"Roxas I like you, I really do, but you're just too young and you should focus on your future and not one with a sold relationship. Not to say that it may not happen." Axel sighed.

"That's what he said back then but…"

"Roxas." Axel called out when the blond passed his bed room. Roxas paused and waited to hear what Axel had to say, probably being the last time they would see each other for a while. Axel wandered over to him, tilted his chin up, and captured his lips in a long desperate kiss.

The blond froze in surprise, feeling like he should pull away or risk hurting even more later on. Instead Roxas closed his eyes and kissed Axel back, leaning on him for support as his body hurt to much to stretch up. Axel cupped his cheek, fingers going into Roxas' hair and the back of his neck. Roxas' hands griped the front if Axel's shirt tightly, afraid to let him go. Their lips stayed together for a while before Axel had to break for air. Roxas opened his eyes, face flushed as they stared into Axel's really close green eyes.

The man's thumb traced over Roxas cheek bone, eyes memorizing the blond's face. Roxas opened his mouth to say something, only Axel massed his lips to Roxas' once again. Roxas moaned, having Axel's tongue dance in his mouth, ignoring the foul taste if slightly bad breath. He was getting lost in the feel that he forgot about what Axel had said earlier. He just wanted to enjoy another moment with the redhead that he could keep to himself,

"We made out, right there by my room. And yet..."

"I don't understand. How can you say all that and then just kiss me?"

Axel gave him a sad smile, sighing through his nose. "I don't know. And I'm sorry. I just-Roxas as I said before, I like you, a lot actually. I'm a shitty person."

"I still don't understand, but he didn't reject me. You said you liked me but in the end you still left. I even went to your college back then in hopes that I'd find you. But you left that school too." Roxas whispered to himself, rolling back onto his back.

Roxas got up from bed. He decided he wanted to get ready for work early so he could try to talk to Axel before he had to leave. The blond took his time as he got dressed. He wasn't in a rush though his heart raced with anxiety. Right as he finished tying his shoes, he heard a soft thud from above him. Roxas froze for a fraction of a second, eyes glued to the ceiling.

"He must be up." Roxas said to himself, snapping his gaze toward his bedroom door. "Might as well as get this over with."

That's what he told himself, but in the end Roxas found himself laying in his bed until it was truly time for him to catch his bus. The blond got up and said good bye to Sora who was eating cereal. The brunet gave him a grin, spilling milk on his brown tie. Roxas chuckled on his way out, strolling down the path that led to the gate surrounding the buildings and parking lot.

Just as he got outside the gates, a small black car pulled up at his side. Roxas stared at it for a moment before walking along the side walk. The car turned, following behind him. The driver's side window rolled down and Axel's head popped out. "Roxas, where are you headed to this morning?"

Roxas scowled at the man and blandly answered, "Work." He internally smacked himself for being so rude. That's not what he wanted to do the moment he saw Axel again. No, he wanted to apologize for last night.

Axel sighed and pulled to the curve. He stopped his car and got out. His tall frame made Roxas feel shorter than he really was. Tired green orbs peered into blue. Axel lazily looked at a random tree before he stared down at the glaring blond again. "Okay, don't tell me you're still mad about yesterday. You got your revenge so why not act civil with me, or have you not changed from that brat I knew back then?"

"I see you're still an asshole." Roxas countered, internally smacking himself again.

"Ouch, you got me there." Axel chuckled and crossed his arms over his chest.

Roxas sighed, his glare dropping. "I don't have time for this Axel. Maybe we can talk later but I have a bus to catch."

The redhead raised a brow, surprised the blond wasn't keeping up with being a little shit. "Where do you have to go?"

"ZHC. It's down town in the business district."

"I'm headed that way, why don't I just give you a lift?" Axel offered.

Roxas paused to think about it. It took him awhile to get there but with Axel it wouldn't be that long. He could even get a quick meal before he had to clock in. With that in mind, Roxas took Axel up on his offer. "If you don't mind that is." He said almost shyly.

Axel chuckled and motioned for the blond to get in. "Come on shorty."

"Not short." Roxas muttered, pouting as he walked around the car and got in.

"Still as cute as ever." Axel said to himself before he got in the car.
