Sympathy is more important than Empathy

After Sans reset the timeline, he expected for a better timeline. What he did not expect was to be able to shape it. Now Sans is stuck in Frisks body with Chara and both must work together to fix the mistakes. But can Sans face the challenges that come with being the last human needed for the barrier? Is that the answer? Rated for language and future themes. Pairings undecided.

5. Snowdin I

I walk to the door on the other side. I go through and I feel something change.

'Ah finally you can talk freely.'

What do you mean? I ask.

'There was a restriction on you. The weird guy who me and Frisk once met him in waterfell put it in place.'

Hmm where in waterfell? I ask.

'A weird door before the waterfell sentry station. It only appeared once though.'

My blood runs cold. I know who placed that there. Yet I don't remember too much about him. All I remember is the fact that I was close to him, he and I really knew each other.

I see the forests of Snowdin. I walk out, feeling like I should remember something. Though with everything that happened, I can't remember.

I walk to the gate that Papyrus made. I hear someone walk behind me.

"Turn around, don't you know how to meet a new friend." I hear a deep voice say behind me.

I feel a sense of fear and uncertainty as I turn around. I see a hand and I shake it. I hear a loud inhale and I pull back my hand to hear a god awful noise. A loud squeal.

"he he, rubber chicken in the hand trick, never gets old. my name is Sans. you're a human right?'

What, who is this. He's messing up the lines. This isn't what is suppose to be happening.

"he he he that's funny that face you made, that's the face of someone who knows something's wrong." 'Sans' says. He then summons a blaster behind him.

"okay so who really are you. you aren't frisk." 'Sans' says.

"How do you know, 'Sans'?" I shoot back.

"hahaha, so my theory was correct. sorry kiddo had to test you. so sans how are you?"

"Who are you? How do you know I'm Sans? Wait Frisk."

"yup. had to change up the greeting to see if the next human would notice. well lets continue this later. paps is on the other side waiting for the normal discussion. and that's one thing i haven't changed." Frisk says. We go through the gate.

They go through what I remember having to do. After Papyrus leaves for good it's just the two of us. "now be careful kiddo, don't go dying on me." Frisk says. I know exactly what he's talking about.

Wait, I forgot about them. I forgot how terrible it is for the world to reset without warning. And I played with time to stay with Toriel.

"see you later at Grillbz." Frisk says. I nod and know that staying here won't help Paps.
