The next day Kagome tried to befriend the demoness women. They clearly thought she was below them, but they seemed to be humoring her, and she would take it, after all, she was here to help him.
"Come Miko bathe with us."
Kagome blushed,
"Look at that she is turning Miko," Another one said, "Come now, it is common to bathe together."
She didn't know what they were up to, but she was here to help and help she was. She lifted her chin "Sure I'll join you."
"Very good, we will see you there!" The women walked away, and Kagome bolted to the room Sesshomaru dubbed his study. She bolted in and shut the door.
"Problem Miko?"
"Aren't you supposed to be entertaining them?"
"I am observing, why?"
"They want me to bathe with them."
He blinked unsure if there was a point "And?"
Kagome blushed again,
"I fail to see this issue."
"That's because you won't be seeing anything."
Then he understood "You are female just as they are"
"They don't blush" She pouted,
Is was true. He smiled "A fault" He actually like that Kagome blushed, just made her easier to read.
Kagome groaned "You owe me, buddy."
"Very well Miko what would you like?"
"The moon!" She huffed before opened and slamming the door.
The funny thing was if he defeated his mother he could very well give it to her, or at least the palace. He sighed, he really did have to decide, but he could see none of them as mothers to his young in fact the desire was not there at all. Perhaps he waited too long, or maybe he was jumping into it to fast now? Being near death does something to you. Apparently not to Kagome. He snorted, he recalled the time he thought he killed her. She had popped out of the poison like nothing ever happened and never thought twice about it, hell she even tried to get herself killed by him again.
He was glad now that he was unsuccessful. The girl seemed to have a death wish, and it never phased her. Perhaps it was because someone was always there to save her. But she wouldn't have someone there to protect her forever. The thought of her being gone one day bothered him, every time the thought came to his mind, her smile came with it.
His brother truly was a fool. He decided he would ask her to stay as a healer for his home; he would not use her then cast her away, not like this brother.
A know came to his door "My Lord!"
"Enter"
"My Lord, the Lady Miko has fainted in the bath," An older woman said with haste. Sesshomaru stood "You are sure she fainted?"
"Hai my Lord."
He moved quickly to the hot springs hidden behind tall walls. He entered carefully.
"Foolish girl your body is meaningless to us" He heard one of the women says.
Kagome moaned, and one of them tried to help her sit up at least.
"Well look at that" Another snapped "Seems someone has been practicing their mating mark on her."
"No wonder she's sick" Another snapped "But why he would chew on the likes of her"
"He wasn't practicing" Kagome lifted her weak hand to her neck "He needed blood."
"You offered your blood to a demon?"
"Yes"
"Why, why not just let him die," They said it like his life wasn't worth something.
"Because I am not like you" Kagome sneered and Sesshomaru had enough. He opened the sliding door, and they looked back at him. None of the demonesses cared that they were naked. Kagome closed her wet robe tighter "Sesshomaru."
He walked to her "What have you done now Miko?"
"She fainted."
"I did not ask you woman be silent." He snapped,
"She's right, I did."
"Why are you bathing in a robe woman?"
Kagome looked down in embarrassment. Sesshomaru knelt and grabbed her chin "I fail to see your point."
"That's because you aren't looking."
"Very well, remove the robe."
"What, no!" She said quickly,
"I already told her that her human body was meaningless to us." A demoness snipped,
"Seeing as how I do not plan on mating with the likes of any of you, all of your bodies are meaningless to me" He let go of her jaw and scooped her up. Kagome gasped "I can walk."
"Be silent."
She shut her mouth as he walked away. No Kagome wasn't like any of them, and for that he was glad.
