Kagome woke a little sore but what she felt more than that was cold. She rolled to her other side and held the covers tight to her and shivered "Sesshomaru?"
When no response came, she sat up and looked around. She tried to reach for him but got nothing and then her neck tingled. Kagome placed her hand on her neck.
"Sesshomaru," Something was wrong. SHe felt sick, nervous, cold, empty.
She stood and walked to a mirror and moved her hand away from her neck and looked at it. It was no longer bleeding, no longer red and the scars had been replaced with silver fang marks. She leaned in and ran her fingers over the marks.
"Marks" SHe whispered and fear crept up her spine "Marks,"
"Do not resent me."
She tumbled back and hit a side table, and a bowl fell and broke, and a maid ran in "My Lady are you alright?" She grabbed a sheet and put it around Kagome.
"Sesshomaru, where is he?" She looked at the woman.
"He left my Lady,"
Kagome swallowed, and she shook.
"My lady, why are you trembling?"
Kagome sank to the ground, and the woman went with her "My lady please you're scaring me!"
Kagome put her hand to her neck again "I'm scared to," She whispered "I, I'm feeling things, I'm confused,"
"You must calm down."
Kagome just shook more "Somethings wrong," She just knew it.
"What do you feel the most?" The woman asked holding Kagome close,
"Empty, I feel so empty,"
The woman began to rock her back and forth and then called for another maid "Send for Lord Inuyasha at once!"
"Where are you?" Kagome whispered, "What have you done?"
They didn't have to wait long, Inuyasha was already well on his way, and he came rushing in to take the maids place. Kagome clung to the sheet and to him "Where, where is he!" She cried.
"Damn," Inuyasha cursed. The change in her was going fast, and the connection between her and Sesshomaru was strong, she was feeling everything "What do you feel Kagome?"
"Nothing,"
That was bad. His brother told him to protect her, but this was not protection this was lying.
"Kagome look at me,"
She did,
"I know your confused, mating marks are touchy,"
Kagome shook her head,
"He left Kagome, he should have stayed, but he left,"
Somehow she knew he didn't leave out of anger.
"Where?"
"You know where,"
"No, no!"
"Kagome,"
"He was supposed to mate!"
"He did,"
"No! He was supposed to leave something behind!"
Inuyasha felt sad for her and his brother "He did,"
"Not me!" She yelled, "He wasn't supposed to leave me!"
She shook harder "Jerk! You jerk!" She screamed, "Do you hear me!"
Inuyasha knew Sesshomaru could feel this.
"Kagome you have to calm down,"
"No" She buried her face "He was supposed to mate, have a baby I was supposed to protect him and his child,"
Inuyasha hugged her "But Kagome don't you understand, he chose instead to protect you,"
"We are supposed to protect each other," She whispered then she looked into Inuyasha's eyes "Is he dead, will I always feel so empty?"
He could not lie to her "Mating is the strongest bond every created by the Gods Kagome without him you will always feel lost,"
"Is he dead?"
"You tell me, he's your mate?"
Kagome closed her eyes and got quiet. She felt heavy, but she felt movement, long strides.
"He's alive,"
But then why did she feel like he wasn't? She knew because in his mind he was planning to die.
