Keep me in your memory.

Sesshomaru could feel her sadness, her rage, her confusion, her pain and it made every step that much harder. He still had his pride, and he had to do this, he could not back down. He was doing this for her, for him, his people, their future.

"Mother,"

His mother appeared "Back so soon?" She looked at him "You look like hell,"

He felt like hell.

"Come to die?" She asked,

"I have come to fight,"

She rose an eyebrow and walked around him "You mated."

"Indeed,"

"Just recently," She stopped "Confident you will win is that why you come so soon, my son?"

"This talk is pointless where is my brother?"

"Which one?" She smiled with a tease,

"Enough, we will end this."

Her eyes darkened "I will end you, you who is a mere image of your father,"

He knew he was much more than just a mere image.

"Yet you keep him in your memory, tell me, mother, will you think of me to long after my death?"

She sneered "Foolish brat, I came to teach you a lesson, tried to beat it into you and for what!"

Her anger rolled off her "I tried to save you!"

"You tried to kill me."

"I tried to protect you!"

"I tire of you voice woman,"

"You have failed me; you come here mated to a human just like your father,"

He said nothing,

"You will die protecting her just as he died protecting his," She laughed "Like father, like son."

A mist began to grow and out of it came a male of the same high as he but he was built solid like a rock. He looked a good deal like their mother minus the moon and markings. His hair was held in a low ponytail, and his eyes looked pained.

Sesshomaru took out his sword,

"Don't you see Sesshomaru, have you not figure it out yet?"

His eyes glided to his mother,

"I keep your father's memory because I was the one who killed him," She smirked "And you will die just as he did," She backed up "I was trying to save you from this, you should have mated a demoness then all of this would have gone away,"

He looked away,

"I gave you life, and I can take that life away leave you as nothing more than a memory."

"I'm flattered."

"Kill him," She told her other son.

One son flew to the other and sword met sword,

"I get to kill two birds with one stone," She said,

Sword met sword again,

"The Miko will die."

"She holds my mark you can not touch her,"

His mother laughed "Did you think your father mark on his mate is what protected her, my, my, you foolish man!"

He stalled, and his brother's sword met this his arm, cutting it open.

"Nay, I get to kill three birds with one sword."

"Three?" He was confused "Perhaps your memory eludes you, there is only she and I."
