Honestly, I haven't been on here in two full years. I'm in shock. Well, I graduated from highschool and I'm in college now, so perhaps I'll get on more :) Deepest apologies for the long wait.

At least 700 Saiyans were crowded in the courtyard, waiting for the squads to be called. There was tension and excitement in the air. Everyone wanted the best of the best to be in their squad, not weaklings. Many of the Saiyans had a great time the night before; they went to the bars and got a couple quick fucks in before their first mission in the Lord Frieza's army. Who knew how long it would take? Who knew if they'd even come home?

Gine landed gracefully in the back of the crowd, alone. She sped over to the meeting place with more than enough time to spare. Her mind wandered to how she would have to kill in order to stay alive. All Saiyans could kill; that's an obvious fact. Hell, even her somehow docile mother could kill. But Gine was different. She didn't want to kill. The simple notion of ending another beings life for the benefit of a tyrant was extremely sickening. She couldn't wait for someone to finally kill "Lord Frieza."

She mentally slapped herself. She was being a hypocrite! How dare she. However… maybe Frieza deserves to die. All those planets he purged, and how he got strong races to do his dirty work. How unfair.

A few yards back, Gine saw Bardock and his team of friends land through her peripheral. She admired his physique. Dressed in his usual green and brown armor, the young Saiyan looked good. Really good. Gine felt a blush coming on as not-so-innocent thoughts overpowered her mind. She sighed in defeat. A guy like Bardock would never go for someone like her. Gine knew she was a fine looking young Saiyan woman. However, her personality differed from many other Saiyans, and that alone could scare anybody away.

The elderly man began to name squad's and the people in them. Gine casually zoned out for a few minutes because she didn't hear anybody's name she knew yet. She glanced around her planet, the only planet she's ever known. Now, she was being ordered to go get cooped up in a small space pod to a far away planet to…kill. A shiver went down her spine as she thought about how she would have to commit one of the worst crimes and sins she could ever think of. Honestly, this life was not fair.

Her thoughts were rudely interrupted by a familiar name being called. "Fasha, Tora, Shugesh, Borgos, Bardock, and Gine! You lot are in the Green Squad! Go line up to my left!" Gine's eyes widened, almost comically, as she couldn't believe her luck. Or misfortunes, as she thought about the small altercation with Bardock the night before. She glanced over at the rest of the squad and saw Tora and Fasha waving her over with smirks on their faces. She frowned when she saw that Bardock had his back turned to her and seemed as if he were paying no attention whatsoever. She rolled her eyes inwardly, throwing the rest of the group a small smile as she floated over to them.

Bardock sighed as he heard his friends taunting. What were the odds of her being in his squad?

He watched her land down beside Tora, but did not make eye contact with her. She exchanged pleasantries with everyone in her soft voice, except for him. Not that he cared in the first place. They all began walking to their assigned location, to the left of the old man. Bardock knew he was being unusually quiet; he was just uncomfortable. He didn't like conversing with strangers, and he didn't want to converse with her, which was exactly what everyone else was doing. He paid no mind to what they were talking about. In fact, he tried to forget they were there in the first place.

About half an hour passed and all the squads were assigned and given their first mission. Another old Saiyan came over to the Green Squad, and the group quieted down. The old man cleared his throat before speaking in a raspy voice that sounded more like a croak than anything else.

"You lot are assigned to purge the planet Avino, located in the Eastern portion of the galaxy. It should, approximately, take you about two months to get there, and from as little as four months to purge it. There shall be no survivors left on the planet. Failure to execute the entire planet of its species will lead to you being decommissioned from your positions in Lord Frieza's army, and you all may be subject to your own personal execution."

So basically, if one is left alive, we're fucked, Bardock thought to himself.

"You are to leave immediately," the old man continued, signaling for them to follow him as he walked through a set of double doors made out of steel. "There is no food provided for this mission. However, Saiyan scientists have been working tirelessly to design a chip that is said to hold you down for a maximum of one year." The elder Saiyan stopped at a table and picked up a bowl, looking over them closely before nodding his head in what seemed to be approval. He passed the bowl, which Bardock now noticed contained these so-called magical chips, and let every member of the group take one. Bardock held it in his large palm, skeptical of how such a puny chip could maintain a Saiyan appetite for an entire year. Borgos, seemingly having the same thought as his friend, snorted in disbelief at the size of this creation, but ate it anyway.

Bardock watched his friend's eyes grow wide as he exhaled deeply, letting out a long, hard fart. Fasha and Tora grimaced simultaneously, while the girl giggled quietly. Bardock rolled his eyes. Borgos grinned and patting his stomach, muttering something along the lines of "Wow, that was filling."

The rest of the group followed suit with eating the chip, each surprised by how filling it actually was. The old man snorted and continued to walk towards another set of doors. When opened, there lay 6 shiny white pods, open and ready for use.

"Information about the species is stored in the computer in your pods. Look over it carefully to learn any tricks these species might have. Good luck." And with that, the old man walked away, not even looking back at the group of six.

Tora swiftly punched his fists together, grinning. "So, who's ready to go blow some shit up?" Shugesh and Borgos chuckled with similar wide grins plastered on their faces. Fasha bent over to tighten up the laces of her boot, but quickly reeled around and punched Tora in the face for slapping her bottom. He kept the same grin on his face, watching a flustered Fasha huff in disbelief. Bardock felt a smirk coming on his face, as he stole a glance to the newest member of his crew. She was chewing her bottom lip, zoned out. She looked, dare he say, worried. He let out a "humph" and got into his pod, like the rest of his crew started to.

"Gine," Tora's voice seemed to startle her out of her daze. "Are you gonna get in or what?" Tora smirked at her now crimson face. She hurriedly got into the final pod, apologizing for her daydreaming. Bardock rolled his eyes for what seemed to be the hundredth time today.

What an idiot woman.
