Have a good week! Please enjoy!

Fear.

Heart stopping, gut clenching fear is the first concrete thing I feel from the bond in weeks. The turn is so violent that for the first time in months I'm yanked into her head.

She's looking down into the court yard, heart racing in her ears as she teeters. She glances down and back, to Avery. Avery who is soothingly assuring her that it's okay to jump. It'll all be better before she knows it. Don't you want to be like Simon and Reed? Even Rose abandoned you, it's time you join your family

Everything immediately clicks. Avery specializes in spirit. I look up from my half packed bag and I wonder if I'm setting myself up for even more pain. My heart tugs and before I can fully realize what's happening I'm sprinting across campus, Jericho hot on my ass.

I go slamming into the dormitory, radioing in the situation as I pound up the stairs, not stopping until my foot slams into the door.

The duo make one hellish sight. Lissa's room is dark, almost gray in it's heaviness and when she looks up and sees me, more tears run down her mascara soaked cheeks.

I zero in on the snake, her thin eyes piercing me in snide cockiness. The bitch thinks she's already won. Well the bitch doesn't know me. I leap forward, hauling back my fist before letting it fly into her face. She gets thrown back and is out before she even hits the ground. Serves the bitch right, it's about time.

The door slams into the wall and Simon is on me like white on rice, he just doesn't expect me to be as fast as I am. He takes a step and I'm already in action. One well placed kick to his knee brings him down. Another kick to his nuts for his cheap shot to my stomach the last time we fought. And one more punch in the jaw knocks him out.

My breathing comes out in sharp bursts and I feel a little light headed. Getting some action actually feels like a high, one that I hadn't enjoyed in far too long.

Lissa's scream brings me back. While I took care of the dynamic duo, Jericho was attempting to get closer to Lissa, more than likely trying to pull her back, but instead she was afraid, still frozen on the window sill over looking her death.

She sways and I'm lunging, barely managing to get a hold on her before she falls.

She's screaming bloody murder as she looks down at the five floor drop.

I can feel the quiver in my muscles and I curse softly. I need to get a better hold on her, she's slipping. She looks up at me, suddenly painfully sober and looking at me with her huge Dragomir eyes.

"Please, please don't let me go. Rose, Rose, I am so so sorry."

"SHUT UP." I snap. She whimpers and desperately clings to me. I see Guardians coming into the building. Good. I find a way to wedge myself more securely in the window before trying to inch my body closer to her. "Put your arm around my shoulder." I growl. She sobs and desperately tries to pull herself up to get leverage, I grunt and adjust so I can throw an arm around her waist. When she steadies I repeat the command and she does is as I grab a hold of her leg.

What feels like hours but is probably on seconds later I manage to pull her up and back into the room. We fall to the ground. She breaks down into hysterics, clinging to me like a child as the reality of all she'd done crashed down on her in horrifying waves. Pain radiates through me from her unexpected weight and I freeze for a second, frozen between one breath and another.

Jericho is next to me in a heartbeat, quietly snuffling over me to check me for injuries. He grounds me and when I look back down at Lissa, I feel numb, almost detached. I roll her off of me and quickly stand up to dust myself off.

"Rose…" She whimpers, trying desperately to gather herself from her heartbreaking realization. Everything she had done, every word she said to me comes rushing back to her and she cries. "Rose I am sorry, please that wasn't me, it wasn't me. I would never… oh god… Rose please." She says it almost incoherently.

I shake my head and take a step back as guardians fill the room. Some go to help her while one checks in with me. I quickly inform him on the events that transpired, they nod and go about handcuffing Avery and Simon while someone is dispatched to find Reed. Someone managed to find a blanket to wrap Vasilisa in and attempt to lead her to the infirmary.

She breaks from their grasp and latches onto me, her wide green eyes pleading with me to understand.

"Rose?" Her voice is so soft it almost makes my heart break. Almost.

"A life for a life, my debt is paid." I take her wrists in hand. "Now you can finally be nothing to me." I remove her hands from my person before making my way out of the room, out of that building as Lissa's wails follow me out the door.

She's finally free and now, so am I.
