The changeover between the two duels was over quickly and soon enough the students, whether they were one of the very few remaining teams or students who had either already been eliminated or joined the school too late to participate in the tournament, where ready for the next match of the day, however one of the participating teams was still in the stands.

"Humph, you'd think that Kimberly and Nathan would know better." Jessica scoffed as she folded her arms, she and her boyfriend/partner for the Tournament Cameron had been watching the latest match from the second-floor walkway which just happened to have a view of the main duel arena. "But instead they fell for one of the easiest tricks in the book and now Chelsea and Chloe have advanced, it makes me sick just thinking about it."

"They'll get their due, either by our hands or Thomas's." Cameron responded as he shuffled his deck before frowning. "Besides, our original plan pretty much went out of the window when Alvers destroyed Ophion, if I had drawn XYZ Reborn earlier we would be the team in the finals and Theresa and Brandon would be facing Amelia and Caitlin in our place, as for that pathetic Ra Yellow team, it's highly unlikely that they'll make it past the next round."

"Much as I'd love to agree with you there is one issue with that." Jessica responded as she turned to him. "Richardson's new monster, it seems that they have a counter for Ophion now."

"You know as well as I do that this game is more about luck of the draw than it is about skill, after all it was plain to see that Richardson's opening hand in the Battle Royal was as pathetic as her deck and that's just one example." Cameron responded and Jessica nodded in approval. "Come on, we'd better get down to the duel arena before we are almost disqualified like Chelsea and Chloe where."

"It was your idea to come up here in the first place." Jessica pointed out with a frown. "What was it you said? To not be associated with the riff-raff of the lower dorms and have some "private time"."

"Yes and I can tell that you are still sore over being interrupted by that security before I could get your top off, I knew I should've picked a more secluded spot first." Cameron responded as they walked towards the stairwell. "And yes, I do plan on having that idiot fired."

"Good, besides we can pick up where we left off during our victory celebration." Jessica said with a grin as she followed Cameron. "And if he finishes early I can easily go to any of the guys/girls that I'm cheating on him with and are too intimidated by my family's influence to do anything about it, you have to love having the beauty and the money to make anyone do whatever you want them too!"

*meanwhile*

Whilst that was going on the two teams that had just competed had joined their friends in the crowd, the Troy siblings had opted to sit next to each other whilst Chloe sat next to Lance and Chelsea sat next to Beth, once the two girls had kissed their respective spouses Chloe took a deep breath.

"Worried about the next match babe?" Lance asked and Chloe shook her head.

"More worried about who me and Chelsea could face in the next round than the next match." Chloe responded as she turned to her boyfriend. "As good as Amelia and Caitlin are I don't see them getting past Cameron and Jessica, Amelia's Barbarians will probably give them the most trouble but as soon as Jessica's Acid Golem is on the field the duel will pretty much be over for them."

"Not really, for Jessica to use her combo with that card she must first summon it and then get it onto the opponent's side of the field, if they have something like Remove Brainwashing they'll be fine." Nathan responded as he shifted his weight. "Failing that, I know you have a copy in your deck from your promotion duel against Lance so if the other teams can't stop them I'm sure you will."

"Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence." Lance muttered under his breath sarcastically before glancing over at Theresa. "And even if Chloe and Chelsea fail to stop them they still must contend with Theresa and Brandon in the finals and they've proven throughout the tournament that they are the team to beat, basically there's no way in hell that those idiots are walking away with the prize money and the rare cards, right Theresa?" Lance asked only to get no response. "Theresa?"

"I'm sorry, were you saying something Lance?" Theresa asked once she realized that Lance was addressing her and Lance sweat-dropped. "Sorry, I was miles away."

"I'll say, you didn't even congratulate Chloe and Chelsea on their win." Lance pointed out and Theresa laughed nervously. "Now that I think about it, it's out of character for you to be this distracted in the first place, is something up?"

"Yeah, I guess you could say that." Theresa nodded in response with a frown on her face. "But I don't want to discuss it here, meet me in Brandon's dorm room after classes finish and I'll explain the situation."

"It's that bad, huh?" Lance asked and Theresa nodded. "And are you sure we won't walk in on you two having sex?"

"I'm sure." Theresa responded with a slight laugh whilst Brandon gave him an annoyed look. "Anyway, by my watch the duel should be starting soon." Theresa added as she checked the time on her watch and as if on cue the two teams arrived in the duel arena.

"Welcome to the second match of the third round!" Martin announced and the crowd cheered, all except for Chloe who was glaring daggers at Cameron and Jessica. "As was determined during yesterday's Battle Royal the second match will be contested between Cameron Matthews and Jessica Stevens of Obelisk Blue and Amelia Gray of Obelisk Blue and Caitlin Acosta of Osiris Red!"

"I'm surprised you idiots even showed up." Cameron scoffed as he and Jessica activated their duel disks. "This match won't even go on for half as long as the last match and that's if you're lucky."

"Just because you're facing a team who happen to have a member of the Osiris Red Dorm in their ranks doesn't mean we'll go down as easily as your opponents in the first and second rounds." Amelia responded as she and Caitlin activated their duel disks. "And unlike the previous rounds, you're not facing a team consisting of a Ra Yellow and a Osiris Red student or a team of Osiris Red Students, you're facing a fellow Obelisk Blue Student and an Osiris Red Student."

"It wouldn't matter if we were facing Yugi and Kaiba in a tag team match." Jessica scoffed as she pretended to not pay attention to Caitlin by looking at her nails. "Between my Acid Golem of Destruction and Cameron's Evilswarm Ophion we are unbeatable, they may as well end the tournament and just give us the prize now, don't worry, we'll make sure that you and the rest of the losers get consolation prizes."

"Well, I thought your egos where big before but saying that you two could beat Yugi and Kaiba? I'd almost be tempted to ask if we could fly them in just to shut your mouth but then again the only way to get you to shut your mouth most of the time is to stick a cock in it." Caitlin responded as she rolled her eyes and Jessica glared at her. "What's the matter? Cat got your tongue."

"You had better watch your mouth reject." Cameron warned her as he glared at her before turning to Jessica. "Don't worry, we'll put her in her place with the other Osiris Red Rejects soon enough."

"Big talk coming from someone who was this close to being beaten by Chloe when she was still in my dorm." Caitlin retorted and Cameron growled in response. "Especially considering the underhanded tactics you used to end the duel before she could land the finishing blow, I'd almost be tempted to surrender right now if it meant that you were facing Chloe and Chelsea in the next round."

"That's enough, Acosta, friendly trash talk is fine but that was verging on libel." Martin interrupted and Caitlin went to retaliate. "And before you say anything, I wasn't talking about your comments about Cameron's previous duel against Chloe, rather I was referring to your comments about Jessica and unless you want detention you'll drop any further comments along those lines." Martin added and Caitlin grumbled under her breath. "As for the order, Jessica will go first followed by Amelia, then Cameron and finally Caitlin."

"There's the classic Obelisk Blue bias rearing its ugly head again." Chelsea grumbled under her breath as she watched the students move into position. "I mean for fuck's sake, the only person who doesn't know that Jessica's cheating on Cameron is Cameron himself!"

"As much as I want to agree with you Chelsea, Martin has a point." Brandon responded and Chelsea turned to him. "Yes, the fact that Jessica isn't exactly faithful is one of the school's worst kept secrets, right up there with your status as a lesbian, but there's no solid evidence that she's cheating because she knows how to cover her tracks, either by intimidating her partners or by only visiting her partners at night or when Cameron isn't around, it sucks I know but Duel Academy would get in a lot of trouble with her parents if stuff like that got spread around, they are really well connected with the school board and are powerful business people."

"Pity that they raised such a bitch." Chelsea grunted before grinning. "Also, interesting choice of words there considering how often she's spread her legs for men other than Cameron."

"Not even commenting on that." Brandon responded as a large sweat-drop rolled down his head and Jessica looked over her hand.

"Well this opening move worked so well for me in our team's previous duels, why change it now? I activate Dark Room of Nightmare!" Jessica played the card and Amelia and Caitlin frowned as the Spell Card's hologram appeared on the field. "And if you saw those duels then you should know what this Spell Card does."

"The fact that we'll take an extra three hundred points of damage whenever you'll inflict effect damage to our life-points isn't our concern." Amelia said as her eyes narrowed. "Opening up with Dark Room of Nightmare once? I can shrug that off as a coincidence, opening with that card twice? You must have luck that can only rival Joey Wheeler, three times? Well if that's a coincidence then the Roman Empire at its peak was just a little big."

"Are you implying that I'm cheating?" Jessica asked with a scowl and Amelia smirked.

"Obviously, I can't prove it without looking at your deck or your cards but isn't it funny how your mind instantly jumped to cheating?" Amelia added before quickly turning to Cameron. "And before you say anything, I wasn't implying that she's cheating on you, just in this match and all the other matches she's competed in since the duel began."

"Oh please! Richardson was lucky enough to draw the cards she needed to get her two strongest monsters on the field during the Battle Royal and again during the match just a few minutes ago." Jessica scoffed as she rolled her eyes. "And no one accuses her of cheating!"

"Maybe that's because, for all her luck, Chloe has gotten some crap opening hands since she joined the school." Caitlin responded as her eyes narrowed. "The Battle Royal you just mentioned, her match in the Battle City Semi-Finals against her dad, I could go on." Caitlin added and Jessica frowned.

"As much as I'm loathed to give praise to a student of a lesser dorm, you raise a good point." Jessica admitted before playing a card. "And just for that I activate Poison of the Old Man and I use the Spell Card's effect to inflict damage to your life-points!" Jessica played the card and her opponents winced as their life-points dropped to 6900. "Next I set two cards facedown and a monster in defense mode." Jessica said as she set the three cards leaving her with an empty hand. "And that ends my turn." Jessica announced and Amelia drew her card.

"Well, since you've opened up with a predictable move then so will I! I activate the Spell Card Terraforming!" Amelia announced as she held up the card before playing it. "And considering how popular this card is I doubt I have to explain its effect." Amelia added before she started inputting commands into her duel disk.

"Nor do you have to tell us what card your searching out and about to play." Cameron responded as he folded his arms and Amelia added the card to her hand. "Aside from the fact that there's only one field spell related to the Barbarian archetype you just said that your opening up your move in a predictable fashion!"

"I see you've done your homework on my deck, then again I should expect nothing less from a fellow Obelisk Blue Student." Amelia responded as her deck auto-shuffled. "And you are absolutely right! I activate my Field Spell Card Barbarian Village!" Amelia played the card and the scenery transformed into the rustic Barbarian village. "But just because you've done your homework on my deck doesn't mean I don't have a few surprises in store for you."

"Oh really? You'll forgive me if I don't act surprised." Cameron responded as he rolled his eyes.

"Keep talking, you'll put your foot in your mouth soon enough! I set two cards facedown and I summon Barbarian Hero – Tyaug the Berserker!" Amelia played the card and a new monster appeared on the field, it was a mountain of a man with wild shoulder length black hair and a matching beard that was just as wild with black piercing eyes who was wearing nothing but a loincloth to cover his well-toned body (5/2400/1200).

"Okay, I'm surprised." Cameron said as his eyes narrowed. "Namely by how you were able to summon a level five monster with no tribute!"

"I was just about to get to that actually." Amelia responded as Tyaug's attack and defense score was cut in half. "If I have Barbarian Village active I can Normal Summon this monster without tribute but his attack and defense score gets cut in half."

"Well, so much for him being dreaded, even my weakest Steelswarm Monsters can defeat him!" Cameron scoffed and Amelia responded with a laugh.

"It's not size that matters, it's how you use it." Amelia added as she folded her arms. "Which I'm sure you are used to hearing from Jessica whenever you have sex with her." Amelia added and the crowd laughed loudly in response whilst Cameron and Jessica glared at her. "I end my turn." Amelia added and Cameron angrily drew his card.

"I'll make you pay for mocking me, in fact you should be glad that I can't attack for another turn!" Cameron responded before looking at his drawn card. "But what I can do is this! I set two cards facedown and I summon Rescue Rabbit in attack mode!" Cameron played the card and his opponents frowned when the small cute rabbit appeared on the field (4/300/100). "And I activate his effect…."

"Yeah I don't think so!" Caitlin interrupted him as she discarded a card from her hand. "I negate Buggs Bunny's effect by discarding Effect Veilor from my hand!" Caitlin added and Cameron growled as the rabbit doubled over in pain. "Let me guess, Ophion again? Sorry but I saw how much damage that did to Thomas and Chloe's decks during the Battle Royal and like there decks my deck's strength lies in Special Summoning powerful monsters with levels, there's no way in hell I'm about to let you bring that thing out!"

"Rescue Rabbit is just one method that I have of summoning Ophion!" Cameron growled looking over his hand. "You've prolonged your suffering for now, I end my turn." Cameron announced and Caitlin drew her card.

"Sucks that I can't attack this turn, otherwise Cameron and Jessica would be sitting ducks." Caitlin thought as she looked over the field. "Jessica didn't summon any monsters as usual and the only defense Cameron has is that rabbit of his, even worse is that unless Amelia can destroy that thing before his turn he'll be free to summon Ophion." Caitlin thought before looking over her hand. "I summon Elemental Hero Lady Heat!" Caitlin played the card and a new monster appeared on the field, as the name suggested it was a young woman dressed in a white and red superhero outfit (4/1300/1000).

"How's that supposed to help you?" Cameron asked with a skeptical look on his face and Caitlin smirked.

"I'll show you in a bit but I'm not done yet!" Caitlin responded as she played a card. "First I activate Foolish Burial which I use to send one monster from my deck to the graveyard." Caitlin added before inputting commands into her duel disk, the card she was looking for was ejected from her deck and she sent it to her graveyard. "But my monster isn't staying in the graveyard for long! I activate O – Oversoul to bring back Elemental Hero Sparkman from my graveyard!" Caitlin played the card and retrieved the monster from her graveyard, once she played it the iconic elemental hero appeared on the field (4/1600/1400). "I set two cards facedown and my turn which activates Lady Heat's effect."

"Do you really think we're worried about that?" Cameron asked with a grin and Caitlin grinned as Jessica drew her card.

"You should be, if she's on the field you guys take two hundred points of Damage for each Elemental Hero I control." Caitlin responded and the two Obelisk Blue Students winced as their life-points dropped to 7600. "Not much but it's a start."

"That's all the damage you're going to inflict with that card!" Jessica spat before looking at her drawn card. "And I'll start things off by flipping my facedown monster over, Stealth Bird!" Jessica announced as her facedown monster appeared on the field revealing it to be a semi-translucent bat like bird (3/700/1700). "I realize that my monster doesn't look like much but neither does your partner."

"And I'm going to have to stop you there because that monster's been around so long that I doubt that there's a student at the school who doesn't know what it does." Caitlin responded as her eyes narrowed. "When that thing is, flip summoned we take a thousand points of damage."

"So, what if you got it right?" Jessica scoffed as she folded her arms. "A broken clock is right twice a day! And besides, you also take a further three hundred points of damage from my Dark Room of Nightmare!" Jessica added and her opponents winced as their life-points dropped to 5600. "At this rate, Cameron, won't need Ophion and I won't need Acid Golem to defeat you!"

"Relying on nothing but burn cards will come back to bite you eventually!" Amelia responded before she glanced at Stealth Bird. "And I think it's safe to assume that your next move is to flip that monster facedown via his other effect?"

"You are absolutely right!" Jessica responded as her monster disappeared from the field. "But he'll be back soon enough and with two monsters that can't make a scratch in his defense points I don't think I have anything to worry about so take your turn!" Jessica added and Amelia drew her card.

"I'm afraid you are quite mistaken Jessica." Amelia responded with a grin as she motioned to Tyaug. "First I reveal a Barbarian monster in my hand to keep Barbarian Village in play." Amelia said as she turned around one of the cards in her hand. "And now onto my move, you see my warrior has another effect, if an effect is activated during my standby phase he can attack two monsters in the same turn!"

"And your point is?" Jessica said mockingly as she glanced at her fingernails. "It's true that Cameron only has that rabbit to protect him but with his attack score cut in half he isn't getting past Stealth Bird."

"That's where your wrong!" Amelia responded as she played the card she had just drawn. "I activate Berserker Rage!" Amelia played the spell card which depicted Tyaug rampaging through a village and true to form Tyaug let out a roar as he started frothing at the mouth. "As you've probably guessed from the card's name and image this card only works on Tyaug but it's an effective one, for the rest of the turn not only does he get his full attack points back." Amelia added as her monster's attacked rose to 2400. "But he also gets the ability to inflict piercing damage."

"Wait, what?!" Jessica protested as her eyes widened. "But…"

"No buts, as for that rabbit of yours Cameron, well I'd be able to do more damage if it was in defense mode, wouldn't I?" Amelia asked as one of her facedown cards flipped up. "And I have just the card to do it! Activate Subjugation!" Amelia's trap card flipped up depicting several barbarians kneeling before a better equipped army. "In the past Subjugation usually meant the end of the road for any Barbarian tribe as they had just been conquered, however it went both ways and using this Continuous Trap Card my monsters can force any monster they attack into any position I wish."

"Wait a minute…..." Cameron trailed off before Amelia pointed at Rescue Rabbit.

"Let's get this show on the road! Tyaug, attack Rescue Rabbit and I use Subjugation to switch him to defense mode!" Amelia announced and the barbarian charged towards the rabbit, the rabbit crouched down but it was too late as Tyaug cleaved it in two bringing Cameron's life-points down to 5300. "And I'm not done! Tyaug, attack Stealth Bird and I shift that monster to attack mode!"

"Which means it gets Flip-Summoned." Jessica responded as her bird appeared on the field again. "Which also means that you still take thirteen hundred points of damage." Jessica added as her opponents' life-points dropped to 4300.

"True but it's less damage than your about to take." Amelia responded as Tyaug cleaved Stealth Bird in two bringing Jessica's life-points down to 5900. "I move to my second main phase which in turn activates the side effect of Berserker Rage." Amelia added as Tyaug began to look exhausted. "To make a long story short I have to move him to defense mode and he's staying in defense mode for the next two turns."

"He won't even last that long, I can think of at least four Level Four monsters in my deck that can crush his defense!" Cameron responded with a cocky smirk on his face. "Now, was there a point to moving to your Second Main Phase beyond explaining your Spell Card's side effect or can I take my turn?"

"There was a point, I let a monster in defense mode and end my turn." Amelia announced as her monster appeared on the field and Cameron drew his card.

"That Trap Card of hers will be a problem, even if I bring out one of my stronger Steelswarms their pathetic defense points means that they'll be sitting ducks for Subjugation's effect." Cameron thought before looking at the card he had drawn and smirking. "Perfect!" Cameron thought before playing the card. "I hope you weren't relying on that Trap Card of yours Amelia because I'm destroying it so I can Special Summon Trap Eater to the field!"

"I had a feeling that would be its eventual fate." Amelia responded with a frown as a long tongue wrapped itself around Subjugation's hologram before pulling it into Trap Eater's mouth (4/1900/1600). "Is it safe to assume that Tyaug is your target?"

"Please, I can crush him anytime I want." Cameron responded before turning to Caitlin. "But you on the other hand? My team has already taken enough damage this turn and I don't intend to let Lady Heat add to that damage with her effect! For my Normal Summon I bring out Steelswarm Caller!" Cameron played the card and the black humanoid insect appeared on the field (4/1700/0). "My apologies but your pathetic comic book is about to be cancelled due to poor sales, Trap Eater, attack Lady Heat!" Cameron commanded and his field wrapped his tongue around Lady Heat before pulling her into his mouth bringing Caitlin's life-points down to 3800.

"Sad part is? I'm pretty sure that's someone's kink." Caitlin responded with a deadpan expression on her face as she activated her Trap Card. "But enough about that, pretty sure we heard enough about weird kinks from Lance in the Battle Royal."

"For once I'm inclined to agree with an Osiris Red Reject." Cameron responded with an equally deadpan expression on his face. "Feel free to check for the other signs of the apocalypse after we defeat you! Now if you don't mind I'd like to continue my…...that's Hero Signal, isn't it?"

"Yep and since you were kind enough to destroy one of monsters I can Special Summon Elemental Hero Clayman from my deck to the field!" Caitlin added as the large clay hero appeared on the field (4/800/2000) before it crouched down indicating that she was defending with the monster. "In defense mode off course." Caitlin added as her duel disk shuffled her deck.

"You may have a monster that's basically Mystical Elf except a giant made of clay defending you but need I remind you that Sparkman is also in attack mode? Caller, attack Sparkman!" Cameron commanded and the insect flew towards Sparkman before slashing him with his claws bringing Caitlin's life-points down to 3700. "Your pathetic heroes will soon be out of print! I end my turn!" Cameron announced and Caitlin drew her card.

"Much as I hate to admit it, unless I can bring out the big guns all I can do is defend with Clayman, unless I use my facedown card." Caitlin thought before looking at her drawn card. "Great, now I draw Polymerization, I could've used this when I still had Sparkman on the field to make Thunder Giant, then they really would've been in trouble! Well, guess it's now or never." Caitlin thought before activating her remaining facedown card. "I activate Reckless Greed!"

"Desperate enough to give up your next two draw phases?" Cameron asked as Caitlin drew her two cards. "We must really have you on the ropes and we didn't need Acid Golem or Ophion to do it!" Cameron added before noticing the grin on Caitlin's face. "What are you so happy about?"

"I'm happy because my gamble paid off big time! I activate The Warrior Returning Alive to retrieve Sparkman from my Graveyard!" Caitlin played the card and retrieved the monster from her graveyard and added it to her hand.

"What good will that pathetic monster do you? It doesn't have enough attack points to get past either of my monsters and last I checked there weren't any XYZ Elemental Hero Monsters!" Cameron responded with a grin before it hit him like a ton of bricks. "Unless your plan is to summon Elemental Hero Thunder Giant!"

"You got it! I activate Polymerization to fuse Clayman on the field and Sparkman in my hand to Fusion Summon Elemental Hero Thunder Giant!" Caitlin played the card and Sparkman returned to the field only to fuse with Clayman to form the gigantic, yellow clad hero (6/2400/1500). "And let's not forget about his effect! By discarding one card from my hand I can destroy one monster on the field whose original attack points are lower than Thunder Giant so I'll go ahead and toss the other card I drew with Reckless Greed…" Caitlin trailed off as she discarded the monster. "And I have some beef with Trap Eater so I'll destroy him! Hope you like your Trap Eaters deep fried!" Caitlin added as the giant launched electricity at the fiend destroying him.

"That joke would've worked better if you had summoned a Fire Type Monster!" Cameron spat out as he sent his monster to the graveyard. "I'm going to assume that Caller is your target for Thunder Giant's attack?"

"I don't know if you've noticed but your girlfriend's field is as wide open as her legs after a few drinks!" Caitlin responded and Cameron went to respond before he realized that she was right. "Thunder Giant, attack Jessica's life-points directly!" Caitlin commanded and Thunder Giant launched its attack at Jessica bringing her life-points down to 3500. "What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?"

"I'll show you, you reject! I activate my Trap Card Damage Condenser!" Jessica announced as her facedown card flipped up and she quickly discarded a card. "Since I just took 2400 points of damage this card could summon any monster I'd want but I only need one!" Jessica added as Stealth Bird returned to the field. "And as for way I didn't bring him out when that Barbarian attacked, why risk the possibility of you drawing something stronger than its defense points?"

"Ignoring the fact that Damage Condenser's effect explicitly states that the summoned monster is summoned in attack mode." Amelia pointed out and Jessica frowned.

"Good point." Jessica conceded before turning to Caitlin. "Are you done yet?"

"Yeah, I'm done." Caitlin responded and Jessica drew her card. "This is bad, Thunder Giant is the only monster I have and thanks to Reckless Greed I can't drew for the next two turns, better hope I can stay in the game long enough for those turns to pass because otherwise we're screwed!"

"I'll make that reject pay for disrespecting me!" Jessica thought before looking at her drawn card. "Perfect!" Jessica thought before playing the card. "To tell you the truth reject, we came prepared for the eventuality of you summoning one of the Elemental Hero Fusion Monsters."

"I have a name, you know!" Caitlin responded and Jessica scoffed.

"You could be the long-lost daughter of Seto Kaiba for all I care, if you're in Osiris Red you'll always be viewed as a reject!" Jessica responded and Caitlin scoffed.

"That's really funny considering that Chloe nearly beat your boyfriend back when she was my dorm!" Caitlin responded earning death glares from Cameron and Jessica.

"That duel doesn't count! But this next move will!" Jessica responded as she played the card. "I activate De-Fusion to split Thunder Giant into Sparkman and Clayman once more!"

"NO!" Caitlin yelled out as her giant disappeared from the field and its too fusion components returned to the field. "It's a good thing your Spell Card doesn't say anything about what position they are summoned in!" Caitlin added once she regained her composure and sure enough Sparkman and Clayman crouched down into their defensive positions.

"Maybe, but that won't matter for much longer!" Jessica responded as her remaining trap card flipped up depicting a skeleton emerging from a grave that was on fire. "I activate Infernal Revival! With this Trap Card, I can target one monster in my graveyard that shares a name with a monster I control and Special Summon it to the field in defense mode!" Jessica announced as her first Stealth Bird returned to the field. "Why use that and not Call of the Haunted? Easy, Infernal Revival not only inflicts three hundred points of damage to your life points per the level of the summoned monster." Jessica added as her opponent's life-points dropped to 2800 and 3500 respectively. "But I get to draw a card for each level of the summoned monster!"

"Wait, what?!" Caitlin yelled out as Jessica made her draws. "How is that card legal?!"

"That's for me to know and for you to never find out!" Jessica responded before looking over her hand and smirking. "But right now, you have bigger problems, first I use the effects of my birds to flip them face-down." Jessica announced as her two birds disappeared from the field. "And now I flip them back up and you know what that means!" Jessica added as the birds returned to the field causing her opponent's life-points to drop to 200 and 900 respectively. "And now it's time I brought out my best monster! I use my Stealth Birds to open the Overlay Network!"

"Oh crap." Caitlin winced as the two birds disappeared into the Overlay Network and Acid Golem of Destruction appeared on the field (Rank: 3/3000/3000). "Even if you do attack our monsters are in defense mode, you won't damage our life-points until you use your combo!"

"Ever heard of the phrase "famous last words"? Because you just uttered yours!" Jessica responded as she played a card. "I use Stop Defense to force Clayman into attack mode!" Jessica added and Caitlin's eyes widened as her monster stood up. "Acid Golem, show that hero what a real golem can do! Attack and wipe out Caitlin's life-points!" Jessica commanded and the Golem launched its attack at Clayman destroying him and bringing Caitlin's life-points down to zero. "Now that the reject's out of the way all I need to do is deal with you!" Jessica added as she turned to Amelia.

"If you think for even a second I'm going to surrender like everyone else has done when their partner was knocked out, think again!" Amelia responded as her eyes narrowed. "Sure, you have Acid Golem on the field but if it's on your side of the field it's nothing but a liability and it still has its Overlay Units!"

"You really think so? You made use of your standby phase last turn and now it's my turn to use it!" Jessica said as she played a card which depicted the Ojama Trio escaping from the Overlay Network Portal. "I move to my Second Main Phase and I activate XYZ Evac! With this effect, I can detach all the overlay units from Acid Golem but rather than go to my graveyard they are shuffled into my deck!" Jessica added before picking up her two Stealth Birds and shuffling them into her deck. "And now to secure your departure from the tournament! I activate Creature Swap and I'll take Tyaug!" Jessica added and Amelia sighed as she closed her eyes in resignation as the two monsters swapped places. "And that ends my turn and the duel! They may as well award us the prize now because we are unstoppable."

"Oh really? I don't know if you've noticed but the teams of Chloe and Chelsea, Lance and Evan, Louella and Latoya, Theresa and Brandon and Thomas and Rajin are still in the tournament." Amelia responded as she drew her card knowing it was merely a formality as Acid Golem wiped out the rest of her life-points. "Any of those teams can take you out of the tournament and at least two of them have personal grudges against you, if you're expecting a smooth ride to the finals you are sadly mistaken!"

"We'll see about that." Cameron responded as the four duelists deactivated their duel disks.

"Here are the winners of the match, Cameron Matthews and Jessica Stevens!" Martin announced over the PA and the crowd gave a mixed reaction, there were some cheers but it was mostly boos. "That's all for today, tomorrow morning we will kick off with more fourth round action as Latoya Conley and Louella Schneider take on Lance Alvers and Evan Grant! Following that match the fifth round will commence with a grudge match between Thomas Newborne and Rajin Kanda and Chloe Richardson and Chelsea Cunningham!"

"That's ignoring the fact that the grudge is mostly between me and Thomas." Chloe grunted under her breath before turning to her roommate. "You ready for tomorrow's match Chelsea?"

"To be honest, I'm more concerned about them." Chelsea said as she motioned towards Cameron and Jessica. "It seemed like Amelia and Caitlin where getting ready to take them out of the tournament then bam, Jessica eliminates them both in one turn." Chelsea added with a frown on her face. "Don't get me wrong, I like a good challenge but have we prepared enough for them?"

"I think we'll be better off worrying about Thomas and Rajin tomorrow but your right, I'm especially worried about that Trap Card Jessica played." Chloe added as she glanced over at the others once she was sure that no one could hear her. "Am I alone in thinking that it was in the same class as the broken cards we've seen the Orichalcos Duelists used since they started attacking the island."

"No, I was thinking the same thing." Lance responded with a frown as he started to stand up. "Could be a coincidence but at this point nothing would surprise me especially after Otto turned his back on us back at Battle City." Lance added before glancing at Theresa. "You wanted to chat in Brandon's room, right?"

"Right, but it might be better if we're all there." Theresa nodded in response as she stood up. "And as for that card, might be a good idea to look up the name on Google just to make sure that it's not coming out in a future booster pack, Jessica's family has the connections to get her some of the best cards for her deck and let's face it, it's not like I2 has never released broken cards since they came out with the game."

"True, okay, if that's everything let's go." Lance responded and the he and the others followed Theresa out of the building.
