This time as Victor watched Otto's defeat on the CCTV cameras, he wasn't alone in his office as Jack was with him, as the two men watched Otto's life-points hit zero Victor switched to the next floor up anticipating the arrival of the students to meet their next challenger.

"I told him that keeping Power Bond in his deck after it cost him the Battle City crown was a bad idea." Jack scoffed as he watched the action unfold on the screen. "So, why am I up here again? I don't know if you noticed but those brats are going through the floors quickly! If Dan fails, then I'm up next!"

"I know, but this won't take long." Victor responded as he shook his head before turning to Jack. "Prior to the test run you checked out three vials of the mind control substance, once the vials where returned they were empty, got an explanation?"

"Err, no, I forgot all about that." Jack said with a nervous laugh. "Can I go? I need to get back to my floor before the brats beat Dan."

"Go." Victor nodded and Jack quickly left the office, once the door was closed, he put a hand to his earpiece. "Did you find anything Sarah?"

"Nothing out of the ordinary, like Otto did with Andreas he's got the screens showing Tyler's defeat at his hands but aside from that, nothing stands out." Sarah responded as she looked around. "Is here on his way down?"

"Yes, find what you can and head up via the elevator, Jack mustn't know you were down there." Victor responded and Sarah nodded, whilst she walked towards the elevator, she heard muffled screaming from one of the rooms and looked.

"Victor, I found Juliana." Sarah said as she stared down at her bound, gagged naked form. "Or what's left of her, looks like he slashed her throat before heading up."

"Son of a bitch." Victor grumbled under his breath. "Do I even need to ask what he was doing to her?"

"Bound, gagged and completely naked with her clothes in tatters, no, you don't." Sarah responded as she watched Juliana squirm for a few more seconds before passing away. "What do you want to do with him?"

"Come up stairs, we will discuss it in private." Victor responded and Sarah nodded before closing the door and heading towards the elevator.

*back on floor five*

"Chelsea, catch." Brandon called out to her before tossing his phone over to the metalhead, she caught it quickly and glanced up. "I don't know if phone signals will get through the Orichalcos so you're in charge of keeping the duelists downstairs updated."

"Got it." Chelsea nodded before turning on the speaker phone. "You there Amanda? Or Adrienne for that matter? I'm taking over from Brandon as he's up next for an Orichalcos Duel."

"Adrienne handed my phone back once the result of the duel between Otto and Andreas became clear." Amanda responded before nodding. "Any other faces from the past?"

"Not for the whole group but for me." Chelsea responded as she shook her head. "It's my ex-boyfriend Dan, he was such a crappy lover that he managed to turn me gay!"

"I'm standing right here Chelsea!" Dan protested and Chelsea rolled her eyes in response.

"We both knew our relationship was on the rocks before I slept with another girl, so why deny it?" Chelsea answered back and Dan went to retort her comment but couldn't find the words. "Yeah, I thought so."

"Look, I'm not about to try to play matchmaker between you and Chelsea, from what I can tell, that ship has sailed, hit an iceberg and sunk." Brandon responded as a massive sweat-drop rolled down his forehead. "And that was before you used the Orichalcos against her sister! And on that matter, why are you doing this? You ever heard the phrase "there's plenty more fish in the sea"?"

"Yeah, my dad used that same line on me when he found out that I had split up with her." Dan responded as he folded his arms. "And to be honest, it wasn't the fact that Chelsea broke up with me that sent me over the edge, she had told me before that I was hardly her first boyfriend, it was the fact that she slept with another girl at a house party whist we were still dating."

"The same house party you backed out off using the excuse that you were ill, but apparently well enough that when I did return home, I heard from Danny that you had instead gone to a gaming tournament." Chelsea responded as she rolled her eyes. "And as for me cheating on you, I'll admit, that was wrong, but you are the worst person I've ever had sex with! And for the record, that girl I slept with was a much better lover than you!"

"Hey Chelsea, you want me to send up a hammer so you can batter your ex some more?" Amanda's clearly amused voice rang out and Chelsea rolled her eyes. "I mean, I've never met this guy, let alone slept with him, but if he is that crappy a lover, why did you start dating him?"

"He wasn't that bad at first, we met through our mutual love of gaming." Chelsea sighed as she leaned against the wall. "But as time went on and he fell into the pit of despair and loneliness that is World of Warcraft he became a lot less interested in me, hell not even walking around his bedroom wearing nothing, but a thong could take his attention off that damn game!"

"I thought this was meant to be a duel, not Soap Opera level gossip." Brandon responded as he massaged his forehead in frustration. "By the way Amanda, what was that intruder about?"

"You mean the late comers that arrived during Andreas's duel? I'll explain once Brandon is done with Dan but all you need to know is that they are more faces from your past, and they are friendly." Amanda responded and Chelsea nodded before glancing up at the boys.

"I'll take your word for it." Brandon nodded before they drew their opening hands. "So, who's going first?"

"I am." Dan insisted before looking over his hand, he quickly made his mind up before playing a card. "I activate Terra-Forming! I would explain what this does but this move is popular among my fellow Orichalcos Duelists, so I won't!" Dan added before he started inputting commands into his duel disk, once he found the card, he was looking for he added it to his hand and played it as soon as his deck auto-shuffled. "I activate The Seal of the Orichalcos!"

"You know, as useful as Terra-Forming is, the fact that it's allowed the Orichalcos Duelists to get their signature card on the field so quickly is making me bemoan its existence." Chelsea muttered under her breath not realizing how close Brandon's phone was to her mouth as the seal circled around Brandon and Dan and the seal appeared on Dan's forehead. "And how did they get their hands on so many copies of that card?"

"Well, Terra-Forming isn't exactly rare." Sophia chimed in over the phone and Chelsea turned to it. "But on the other hand, about a week after Terra-Forming was released someone in California brought so many Terra-Forming copies that my father had to order more to be printed just to keep up with demand, my father didn't think much of it at first because either way, my company makes money but now that I know why they were ordered, it makes a lot more sense."

"Can we get back to what actually matters and not whether I was a bad lover or not?" Dan protested and whilst Chelsea rolled her eyes, he played his card. "I summon Wattcobra."

"Excuse me, what?!" Chelsea demanded as her head snapped up whilst Wattcobra appeared on the field (4/1000/500) and its attack power increased to 1500 thanks to the seal. "What's your game Dan?"

"Well I could channel you and be a smartass, but I won't." Dan responded as he shook his head. "You know your far from the only Watt player on the pro scene, right?"

"That's not what I meant, you were planning a mirror match against me?" Chelsea asked as she face-palmed. "I've been running a Watt deck for the past three years, you weren't even running a deck when we dated! And don't even get me started on how wrong the Pentagram looks on Wattcobra's forehead!"

"Whatever, I don't need to answer to you." Dan responded as he rolled his eyes. "I set two cards facedown and end my turn."

"I swear, if it weren't for the fact that Chelsea is openly gay, I'd think that they were an arguing couple, then again they were a couple at one point." Brandon thought as he drew his card and looked at it. "I activate Allure of Darkness! I banish one Dark Type Monster from my hand so I can draw two cards." Brandon announced before he pocketed the monster and drew his cards. "I set two cards facedown and I summon Maiden of Macabre!" Brandon announced as he played the card and the scythe wielding geisha appeared on the field ready for battle (4/1700/0). "Not exactly my best monster but she is the only one in my hand that can attack over Wattcobra." Brandon thought before pointing at Wattcobra. "Maiden of Macabre, attack Wattcobra!"

"Not bad, but not good enough! I activate Divine Light!" Dan responded as his trap card flipped up causing a bright light to shine on the battle field temporarily blinding Maiden of Macabre and the other duelists. "As long as I have a Light Type Monster on the field, I can end the battle phase at any time."

"In other words, a perfectly broken card for Watts." Brandon responded once his eyesight returned. "It's your move, but first, the monster I banished comes back." Brandon added as he played the card causing D.D. Scout Plane to appear on the field (3/800/1200) and Dan drew his card.

"Silent Magician, is it me or does Chelsea seem different since the duel started." Chloe wondered as she glanced over at her roommate. "Like she's nervous or something?"

"I would normally put it down to Chelsea being worried for Brandon but Wattchimera has reported that something seems off about her." Silent Magician respond as she appeared next to Chloe. "He knows why but he won't reveal it for personal reasons."

"Let's hope that it's just her being overly concerned." Chloe thought before she continued to watch the duel.

"I'll save this for later." Dan thought before glancing up at Brandon. "No point in dragging this out, Wattcobra, attack his life-points directly!" Dan commanded and the snake leapt over Brandon's monsters before biting him on the arm and bringing his life-points down to 6500 whilst Dan activated his other trap. "Now I activate Wattlegion! This allows me to summon as many Watt monsters from my deck as I want, and they will all attack you directly!"

"I was saving this for something bigger." Brandon thought as Wattpheasant (4/1000/800) Wattgiraffe (4/1200/100) Wattcanine (4/1500/500) and Wattwoodpecker (4/1000/100) appeared on the field and their attacks increased to 1500 each for Wattpheasant and Wattwoodpecker, 1700 for Wattgiraffe and 2000 for Wattcanine. "But if I don't, then this damage will be lethal, better hope he doesn't have anything nastier in the wings."

"Finish the rich boy off!" Dan commanded and each of the Watt Monsters leapt into battle.

"That's a nice legion you have there, would be a shame if someone went Teutoberg Forrest on it! I activate my trap card Mirror Force!" Brandon responded and Dan's eyes widened as the attacks were reflected at his monsters destroying them all. "And look at that, you don't have a monster for Divine Light's effect!"

"I move to my second main phase and I activate Magic Planter, I use it to destroy Divine Light and draw two cards!" Dan responded as his trap card shattered and he drew his two cards. "Luckily, I didn't bring out all my low level Watts with Wattlegion, otherwise this duel would be even shorter than the first three duels in this tower!" Dan thought before looking at his drawn cards. "I set one card facedown and end my turn."

"Good, Brandon's still in this." Chelsea breathed a nervous sigh of relief as Brandon drew his card. "Hopefully Brandon can finish him without Dan revealing the main reason why the relationship ended."

"Perfect." Brandon thought before he played the card. "I sacrifice D.D. Scout Plane to bring out Caius, the Shadow Monarch!" Brandon announced as he played the card and D.D. Scout Plane vanished from the field and was quickly replaced with the shadow monarch (6/2400/1200). "This activates Caius's effect, and I target your facedown card…"

"Nope! Need it for later! I discard Effect Veilor from my hand to negate Caius's Effect!" Dan responded as he discarded the weak Spellcaster Tuner (1/0/0) and Caius doubled over in pain. "You can still attack."

"Never met an Orichalcos Duelist so eager to be attacked but ask and you shall receive! Caius, attack his life-points directly!" Brandon commanded and Caius threw a dark ball of energy at Dan bringing his life-points down to 5400, however as Dan activated his trap card Brandon sighed. "I should've known!"

"That's right! Your attack allowed me to activate Damage Condenser! Now 2400 attack points is enough to cover most Watt Monsters not named Watttaildragon, but I just need this! Wattshield!" Dan added as the new monster appeared on the field, simply it was a large shield in the traditional Watt colors (4/0/2000) and even as the shield's attack increased to 500 thanks to the seal Brandon couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "And yes, it's in defense mode, meaning your geisha can't attack over it!"

"Smart move but what is a monster with zero defense points doing in a Watt Deck? Defeats the purpose doesn't it?" Brandon asked before glancing over at Chelsea.

"Hey, don't look at me! I still don't have all the new Watt Monsters I2 released!" Chelsea responded as she shook her head. "But your right, such a monster has no place in a Watt Deck! I wonder why I2 released it."

"We didn't." Sophia chimed in over the phone. "That thing is clearly another counterfeit card, be careful Brandon."

"Will do." Brandon nodded before turning his attention back to Dan. "Is it me or did Chelsea seem intimidated by Dan? Hard to believe I'm saying this because he's barely taller than she is, but I can't help but wonder what really went on in that relationship." Brandon thought before turning his attention back to Dan. "It's your move." Brandon announced and Dan drew his card.

"They seem to be catching onto the real reason my relationship with Chelsea ended." Dan thought as he glanced over at Chelsea. "And that's something that not even Victor knows, and I intend to keep it that way." Dan thought before motioning to Wattshield. "I activate the effect of Wattshield, by sending it to the graveyard I can destroy one monster you control for each Watt Monster in my graveyard and deal a thousand points of damage for each monster destroyed that way!"

"What?!" Brandon yelled out as Wattshield glowed with a brilliant light before exploding taking Caius and Maiden of Macabre with it and sending Brandon's life-points down to 4500. "You were counting on me having Mirror Force set, weren't you?"

"No, I intended to finish you off with Wattlegion, Wattshield was just a back-up plan." Dan responded as he shook his head before setting a monster. "I set one card in defense mode and end my turn." Dan added and Brandon drew his card, however as he did, he saw Chelsea looking especially uncomfortable as she watched the duel and his eyes narrowed.

"Okay, what really happened between you two?" Brandon asked as he glanced at Chelsea and Dan and the two teens looked at him in confusion. "Chelsea hasn't been herself since the duel began, at first I thought it was because she was concerned for me, but the more time passed, the more I came to realize that there had to be more too it."

"Is it so hard to believe that we had a bad break-up?" Dan asked as he folded his arms. "The relationship was falling apart, she jumped into bed with another girl and it ended, simple as that."

"You know, I'd love to just accept that as fact, but I can't." Brandon responded before motioning to Theresa. "Theresa went through a bad break-up with Drew because he had been expelled and was facing criminal charges, difference is? She didn't look nearly as uncomfortable as Chelsea does when she was around Drew even after he used the Orichalcos, so you'll forgive me if I don't buy that it was just a bad break-up for a second!" Brandon added and Dan grit his teeth.

"It was a bad break-up! So, what if I was abusive towards her as the…." Dan trailed off before quickly covering his mouth. "You know what, forget I said that…."

"No, please." Brandon interrupted him as his eyes narrowed. "Continue."

"You want the truth? Fine." Chelsea sighed as she took a deep breath. "As I said, things were fine at first but as the relationship continued Dan got more abusive, he never got violent with me, but his words hurt more than any punch ever could." Chelsea added before glaring at Dan with her arms crossed. "Did I cheat on you with Kaylee? Yeah, I did, but unlike you, she treated me as a human being and not arm candy to boss around! And frankly, she was a lot better in bed than you ever were."

"That still doesn't change the fact that you cheated on me." Dan responded as he glared at his ex. "And as soon as I'm done with the rich idiot over here, I'll…..."

"Tell me Dan, do you realize how many friends Chelsea has over there?" Brandon asked as he motioned to the other duelists who where glaring daggers at Dan. "All of them, including me, in fact if my soul wasn't on the line, I'd forfeit the duel so I could beat the living crap out of you for what you put my friend through." Brandon added and Dan's eyes narrowed before he turned to Chelsea. "Chelsea, I…."

"Save it until after the duel." Chelsea sighed as she wiped away a tear. "That conversation just brought back a shitton of bad memories, and I have a lot to process."

*downstairs*

"Well, that awkward rather quickly." Amanda commented with a wince as she and the other duelists listened in on the conversation. "And that's yet another reason why I'm mad that I can't be up there in person."

"If it's because you want to punch Dan, there's a long line starting with Brandon." Sophia commented as she shook her head. "Come to think off it, doesn't Chelsea have three brothers?"

"She does and I don't know what the biggest brother does but with his build I think it's a safe bet that he competes in some kind of sport." Adrienne chimed in as she leaned against the wall. "If your wondering how he's still able to walk, that makes too of us."

"Maybe Chelsea never told them." Sophia commented with a shrug and Adrienne shook her head.

"You're an only child, yes?" Adrienne asked and Sophia blinked before nodding. "Thought so, I have three sisters myself and like Chelsea, I'm the youngest, just speaking from personal experience here but her brothers would've been able to pick up on what was going wrong with that relationship pretty easily."

"Much as I don't appreciate you guys talking about me behind my back." Chelsea's annoyed tone rang out through the phone and the three women winced. "You are right, it didn't take long for my siblings to find out, only reason Dan's still able to walk is because me and Jamie talked them down from going that far when they did find out."

"No offense was intended Chelsea, we're just glad you were able to get out of that relationship." Amanda assured her and Chelsea sighed.

"Appreciate it, by the way, what happened with those guys who arrived late?" Chelsea asked and Amanda frowned. "If there was an Orichalcos Duel I'm assuming you won, otherwise we wouldn't be talking."

"That's complicated." Amanda said as she glanced up towards the two late comers. "I'll tell you and the others after the duel."

"Got it." Chelsea nodded before Amanda listened to the rest of the duel.

*back upstairs*

"Okay, now that it's been revealed how much of a scumbag you are, it's my move." Brandon commented before playing a card. "I summon Armageddon Knight!" Brandon announced as he played the card and the dark warrior appeared on the field (4/1400/1200). "This triggers Armageddon Knight's effect, when he is normal summoned, I can send one Dark Type Monster from my deck to the graveyard." Brandon added before he started inputting commands into his duel disk.

"If he is setting up for Dark Armored Dragon then he's just made a mistake." Dan thought as Brandon retrieved the card he wanted and sent it to the graveyard. "That monster requires exactly three dark type monsters to be present in his graveyard, he already had that covered with D.D. Scout Plane, Caius, the Shadow Monarch and Maiden of Macabre, what is he thinking?" Dan wondered before Brandon pointed at his monster.

"Armageddon Knight, attack his defense monster!" Brandon commanded and the knight charged into battle before slashing the monster, revealed to be Wattdragonfly (2/900/200) which was quickly destroyed. "Wattdragonfly, figures, don't bother explaining the effect because I've seen your ex use it enough times to know it like the back of my hand."

"Then you know what I'm going to summon with it's effect." Dan responded before picking up the card once it ejected from the deck slot and playing it. "I summon Wattaildragon!" Dan announced as the massive blue dragon appeared on the field (6/2500/1000) and its attack power increased to 3000 thanks to the seal. "Soon as I begin my turn, your life-points are toast!"

"We'll see about that." Brandon responded before picking up a card. "I set one card facedown and I end my turn." Brandon announced as he set the card and Dan drew his card.

"Perfect!" Dan thought before playing the card. "I activate Lightning Strikes the Grave! For the mere cost of a thousand life-points I can Special Summon one Light Type Monster from my graveyard and increase its attack power until it's equal to the strongest monster on my side of the field! I chose Wattcobra!" Dan announced as he played the card and Wattcobra returned to the field, seconds later his power skyrocketed to 3000. "This duel is over! Wattaildragon, attack Armageddon…" Dan never finished his command as an ear piercing screech caused Wattaildragon to back down. "What?!"

"Command Silencer, it negates your attack and allows me to draw a card." Brandon explained once the screech stopped and Dan growled as Brandon drew his card.

"Fine, I'll make do with softening you up with Wattcobra! Wattcobra, attack his life-points directly!" Dan commanded and the snake leapt right over Armageddon Knight…and was promptly stopped by Battle Fader (1/0/0) suddenly appearing on the field. "Don't tell me you drew into that thing with Command Silencer."

"I did, I would normally put it down to luck but who knows? Maybe someone watching over us really wants me to defend my friend's honor." Brandon responded as he sent his Spell Card to the graveyard and Dan growled.

"Great, as if I didn't put up with enough of that religious nonsense when I was dating her, I set one card facedown and end my turn." Dan muttered under his breath before looking over his hand. "Little does the punk know that I have Honest in my hand! If he gets a big monster out and tries to attack either of my monsters, I'll discard this card and potentially wipe him out! Failing that I have my facedown Dimension Wall which will reflect any attack he makes back at him."

"I hope you don't have any key cards in your hand Dan, because they're not staying in your hand for long." Brandon commented, and Dan looked up. "I activate Card Destruction!"

"No! Anything but that!" Dan protested before reluctantly discarding his hand as did Brandon. "You realize that there's no possible way to summon Dark Armed Dragon, now right?"

"Who said that was my plan?" Brandon asked and Dan gave him a confused look. "Thanks to that discard, I have four Light Type and four Dark Type Monsters in my graveyard, meaning I can banish all the Light Type Monsters to summon Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Evening Twilight!" Brandon announced as he played the card and the mighty soldier appeared on the field ready for battle (8/3000/2500). "I activate his effect, since I banished Light Type Monsters to summon him, I can target one monster you control and banish it!" Brandon added and the soldier raised its sword before slamming it down sending a shockwave towards Wattaildragon destroying it, as it did Wattcobra's attack decreased back to 1500. "I thought that would be the case."

"Yeah, well, I know for a fact that you can't conduct your battle phase the same turn you use Evening Twilight's effect, so my life-points are safe!" Dan retorted before grinning. "Your life-points on the other hand aren't safe at all! I still have Wattcobra on the field and he can still attack your life-points."

"That's where your wrong! I tribute Battle Fader and Armageddon Knight to summon Caius, the Mega Monarch!" Brandon announced as he played the card and his two weaker monsters vanished, in their place stood a taller, more muscular version of Caius (8/2800/1000). "As I tribute summoned this monster using two Dark Type Monsters, I can target two cards with his effect, as for what that effect is, it's basically the same as Caius's regular effect so say good-bye to Wattcobra and your facedown card!" Brandon added and Dan shielded himself as the dark energy balls hit Wattcobra and his facedown card destroying them both and reducing his life-points down to 3400. "You're lucky I can't conduct my battle phase, but I think your luck's just about run out! I end my turn."

"I'll show you!" Dan growled before drawing his card, however when he did his eyes widened. "No, this must be a mistake, I can't summon or play anything."

"Then this duel is over." Brandon responded before drawing his card but they both knew it was a formality at this point. "Look, I don't care how bad your relationship with Chelsea was towards the end or her reason for jumping into bed with another girl, that's still no excuse for treating her like crap or targeting her sister for the Orichalcos!"

"Don't you understand? She has to pay!" Dan protested and Chelsea shook her head.

"I have paid! More times than I can count!" Chelsea responded as she glared at Dan. "It took me years to rebuild my confidence after we broke up Dan and because of all the pent-up aggression I had from the abuse you put me through I lashed out at people, a lot." Chelsea added as her eyes narrowed. "I'm not sorry that I found someone who actually loved me and treated me decently, I am sorry that you couldn't handle that fact and turned to the dark side." Chelsea added before turning to Brandon. "Finish this bastard off, I only wish that I was dueling in your place."

"With pleasure." Brandon nodded before pointing to Dan. "Evening Twilight, Caius, finish him off!" Brandon commanded and the two monsters unleashed their attacks at Dan bringing his life-points down to zero, as the seal closed in around Dan Chelsea and Brandon approached him. "Anything you want to say to her?"

"I've got nothing to say to you." Dan spat as he glared at his ex.

"Funny, you had a lot to say to me when we were still dating." Chelsea responded before shaking her head. "I never want to see you again, if I do see you again, start praying to whatever god you believe in that someone's there to stop me." Chelsea added before the seal claimed Dan's soul, once Dan collapsed Chelsea let out a deep breath as Brandon turned to her. "I was hoping that I'd never have to revisit those memories Brandon, it was cathartic to see him get defeated but as I said, that duel dug up memories that I'm not comfortable reliving."

"Don't worry about it, we're your friends and we'll be there for you no matter what." Brandon assured her and Chelsea grinned in response. "Can't be many floors left."

"I was about to say, according to the floor plans we downloaded, there's only two floors left before you reach Victor's office on the top floor." Sophia chimed in and Brandon nodded. "You sure your going to be okay Chelsea?"

"Honestly? No, but I'll be glad once this is all over." Chelsea responded before the teens headed for the stairs to the next floor.
