As the teens ascended the stairs to the eighth and final floor of the building Chelsea and Chloe felt their phones going off and answered them, when they answered their FaceTime Calls their grins broadened when they saw the footage awaiting them.

"Sis, I don't know how you did it but I'm awake." Jamie greeted her sister and Chelsea grinned broadly as Jamie sat up in her hospital bed. "Don't worry about the conversation we had last night, that's water under the bridge."

"Appreciate it Jamie." Chelsea responded with a grin as she leaned against the railing. "Do mom and dad know? I know Mark said that they wouldn't tell them but still…"

"I'll take it from here." Danny responded as he stepped into the camera's view. "We told them Chelsea, I'm afraid there was no getting around it." Danny added and Chelsea let out a deep breath. "Don't worry about it for now, they want to talk to you about it in person."

"Don't worry, as soon as we're done here, we are coming straight back to the hotel." Chelsea responded with a grin before she started walking up the stairs again. "I think Marcus has done more running today than he has in his entire life."

"I heard that." Marcus called out to her and Chelsea grinned in response.

"Didn't you say that you weren't going to argue that this was the most exercise you've had in a while?" Chelsea called back and Marcus said nothing in response. "Thought so, anyway, this should be over before you know it."

"Good luck Chelsea." Jamie nodded in response as their brothers stepped into view. "And God's Speed to you and your friends!"

Whilst that was going on Chloe was having a very different conversation over her phone as the memories from the previous duel were still fresh in her mind.

"Dad, I'm so glad your awake." Chloe said with a tearful grin as her dad greeted her over FaceTime. "But it came at a cost, I had to duel the woman who stole your soul and…." Chloe added before taking a deep breath. "I know the truth."

"You know about Sarah." Scott nodded grimly and Chloe sighed in response. "I did plan to tell you one day when you were older, but it seems she has forced my hand, what do you know?"

"I know the circumstances behind her scaring for one thing, and that she believed that you left her to die." Chloe responded as she lowered her head. "I thought we agreed that we weren't going to lie to each other going forward."

"We did, but this lie was for your own good." Scott responded and Chloe nodded in understanding. "I take it she took the tape I made for such an occasion."

"She did, and she showed me it before I finished her off." Chloe responded before pausing. "Dad, if we're going to be completely honest with each other, there's something you should know."

"Chloe, it's fine." Scott assured her and Chloe breathed a sigh of relief. "If Lance got you pregnant, we will be there to support you." Scott added and Chloe nearly face-faulted off the stairs in response, once she regained her composure Chloe shook her head.

"Nothing like that, but I do appreciate the support." Chloe responded before sighing. "Not long after the Orichalcos became a threat again, I was forced into a difficult situation." Chloe added before taking a deep breath. "I played the Seal of the Orichalcos against an opponent, I didn't want to do it, but the thing was pressuring me somehow and I just caved in." Chloe added before lowering her head. "If you want to chew me out, go ahead, it's not like I don't deserve it."

"Chloe…..." Scott trailed off as he tried to find the words. "Mistakes happen, and it's clear to me that you realize how big a mistake you made." Scott assured her and Chloe nodded. "I'm not mad, I'm disappointed, I thought I raised you better than that."

"I'm not saying that you didn't, ugh, it was just a stupid mistake that never fails to come back to bite me on the ass." Chloe responded as she ran a free hand down her face. "I know I wanted to tell you before I dealt with the Orichalcos permanently, we've dealt with all the remaining agents and only their boss remains, the only reason your free is because I got Sarah to agree to freeing your soul alongside other people's souls when I won but once we're done today, the other souls should be free as well."

"Just know that I'll be supporting you all the way." Scott assured her and Chloe grinned. "As for Sarah, I'll fill you in on the blanks when you get home from California."

"Mom told you about our trip?" Chloe asked and Scott nodded. "Thanks dad, right now, I know we're going to need all the support we can get and tell mom I said hi."

"I will, speak to you soon Chloe." Scott responded before the call ended and Chloe shared a grin with her roommate.

"Based on that, I think it's safe to say that the student's souls have been freed as well." Theresa commented with a grin and the two younger women turned to her. "Sorry, couldn't help but overhear, all that's left to do now is take out Victor."

"And with the three Legendary Dragons, we'll do just that." Lance commented as he held up The Claw of Hermos and the two women grinned before Chloe held up the Eye of Timaeus and The Fang of Critius. "I think our best bet will be to take him on at the same time."

"Three legendary dragons taking him on at the same time? Before long, we'll have him begging for mercy." Theresa nodded in agreement before the students reached the eighth and final floor, unlike the other floors of the building there was no stairwell that would take them to the next floor, just a large square room with Juliana's desk next to Victor's office. "Almost looks normal, you wouldn't think that this place was hosting the Orichalcos."

"Looks can be deceiving." Lance nodded in agreement before the door to Victor's office opened and Victor stepped out, as he did, he started a slow clap for the assembled duelist and their eyes narrowed. "You have a lot to answer for Victor."

"Is it really so horrible to try to remake the world in my image?" Victor asked as he finished his one man applause and the students' eyes narrowed. "Because that is what I hoped to achieve by bringing back The Great Leviathan."

"Are you insane?!" Sophia asked with a look of disbelief on her face. "Dartz could not control The Great Leviathan when he brought it back, what hope do you have?"

"Dartz was a fool, I know exactly what it takes to control the Great Leviathan." Victor responded as he turned to Sophia. "And before long, you will meet the same fate as your father did during the original Orichalcos operation."

"Over my dead body!" Sophia said defiantly as her eyes narrowed and Victor chuckled.

"That can certainly be arranged." Victor responded and Sophia growled. "That deal Chloe struck with Sarah has hindered my efforts however, without it her soul alone would've been enough to revive the Great Leviathan but with those souls freed? You have forced my hand."

"Excuse me whilst I go look for my world's smallest violin." Chloe responded with a frown as she, Lance and Theresa stepped forward. "We will be the ones to stop you Victor!"

"You can certainly try." Victor responded before he motioned for them to follow her. "I applaud you all for making it this far but you will fail in your efforts, to that end I challenge the three duelists who hold the Legendary Dragons to a three on one handicap duel, to compensate for the increased numbers I will start at 24,000 life-points whilst you three will start at eight thousand each, and you cannot attack until all three of you have made your first move, I trust that I do not have to explain the rules of the game to three Duel Academy Students."

"Unless you plan to challenge us to a game other than Duel Monsters, no, you don't." Theresa responded as the three students followed Victor. "Just name a time and place."

"The time is now." Victor responded as he glanced at Theresa. "The place? My own personal duel arena, follow me to your doom."

"Because off course he has his own Duel Arena." Chloe thought with a frown as she followed the others with her arms crossed. "Say you do remake the world in your image, then what? You want to take over the world or something cliché like that? Because right now you are sounding less like a businessmen and more like the villain of a crappy Saturday Morning Cartoon!" Chloe added and Victor chuckled as he turned to the petite woman.

"As a matter of fact, yes, that is my plan." Victor responded before they reached a door with a keypad in front of it, he inputted the code and once the door slid open it revealed a large duel arena not unlike the Main Duel Arena at Duel Academy.

But with one striking difference.

The walls seemed to be made of solid rock and on them hung the carvings of thousands of people from all walks of life, as the three students looked around it became clear. "This is where your storing the Orichalcos victims' souls." Theresa realized before she spotted something at the end of the room, three large carvings with three dragons carved above them and she reached into her deck to retrieve the Fang of Critias. "Fang of Critias."

"Eye of Timaeus." Chloe said as she did the same as Theresa with the two women comparing the dragons on the cards with the dragons on the wall.

"Claw of Hermos." Lance finished the comparison as the three duelists realized what they meant. "I don't know what to think about having my own space on the Orichalcos Wall of Shame."

"So, you have figured it out." Victor chuckled as he motioned to the wall. "Those three spots have been especially selected for you three, and I need all three of your souls to revive the Orichalcos, however if I am defeated than the Orichalcos will cease to be and all the souls on this wall will be freed."

"That easy huh?" Lance asked before glancing at the two women. "What do you say ladies? Ready for one last tango with the Orichalcos?"

"I'm ready." Chloe nodded in response and Theresa did likewise.

"We were the first three Duel Academy Students to deal with the Orichalcos during the Battle City Tournament, it's only fitting." Theresa responded with a nod before they hopped onto the Duel Arena, Victor produced the Orichalcos Duel Disk from within his suit and strapped it on before activating it and the three students did likewise.

"Kaiba, it's begun." Sophia said into her phone as she watched the three duelists. "Chloe, Theresa and Lance are taking on Victor as we speak."

"Excellent, keep me updated." Kaiba nodded in response through FaceTime. "In the meantime, KaibaCorp will begin preparations to buy out Santiago Inc. as soon as Victor is defeated."

"Your putting a lot of faith in three Duel Academy Students Seto." Sophia pointed out with a frown on her face. "Are you sure they can handle it."

"Victor was never much of a duelist, besides, those students have had the best training possible, if anything, they are overprepared for them." Seto responded and Sophia frown as Victor looked over his hand.

"I shall begin, I activate the Seal of the Orichalcos!" Victor announced as he played the card and the seal enveloped all four duelists, as soon as the Pentagram appeared on Victor's forehead he grinned maniacally. "Now, let us begin! I set a monster in defense mode and two cards facedown! It's your move."

"Huh, I was expecting something more exciting for the big boss of the Orichalcos." Chloe thought before glancing over at her teammates. "Guys, how do you want to decide the order we go in?"

"I say we go in the order of the dorms we started in." Lance responded and the two women nodded in agreement. "So, in other words, you'll go first, followed by me, then Theresa and then it'll go back to the bad guy in the cheap suit!"

"This suit cost me more money than your parents will ever see in their lives!" Victor protested and the three students sweat-dropped. "As for the order, that's fine by me, it won't matter in the end though."

"We'll see about that." Chloe responded before she drew her card. "I set two cards facedown and I summon Silent Magician Level 4!" Chloe announced as she played the card and the youngest version of her ace monster appeared on the field (4/1000/1000). "But she isn't sticking around! I activate Level Up!" Chloe announced as she played the card and the younger magician started glowing and growing until she reached her adult form (8/3500/1000). "That was the strongest opening move I've had in a long time but with Victor's life-points so high I'll need to get my heavy hitters on the field as soon as possible." Chloe thought before nodding to Lance. "It's your move Lance."

"Got it!" Lance nodded as he drew his card. "I activate Heaven's Lost Property, now we'll all draw three cards and discard two!" Lance added and the four duelists drew three cards and discarded two, however when Lance saw one of the cards, he had drawn his grin widened. "Claw of Hermos! My opening hand just got that much better! But I'd better hold onto it, who knows what Victor has in store for us." Lance thought as he sent his Spell Card to the graveyard. "Next I remove one of the monsters I discarded from play to summon Inferno!" Lance added as he played the card and the small blue flame appeared on the field (4/1100/1900). "But like Chloe's magician, he isn't sticking around, I tribute Inferno to summon Thestalos, the Firestorm Monarch!"

"Perfect! This is all going according to plan!" Victor thought as the monarch of fire appeared on the field (6/2400/1200). "I am well aware of Thestalos's effect Lance, but you won't get a chance to use it, I activate my facedown card Chains of the Seal!" Victor responded as his facedown card flipped up and chains sharing the same color of the Seal of the Orichalcos wrapped themselves around Thestalos before chaining him to the wall. "Don't worry, you'll get him back on your next turn but until then his effect is negated, and I draw a card."

"Great, that means I just left myself wide open." Lance thought before picking up two cards. "I set two cards facedown and end my turn."

"At least Victor was forced to use one of his facedown cards." Theresa thought as she drew her card. "But still, why did he use it on Thestalos? Thestalos is powerful but Chloe's magician is a lot stronger and it's not like he couldn't have used it, I can see from here that Chains of the Seal is a Trap Card." Theresa thought before picking up three cards. "I set two cards facedown and I set a card in defense mode." Theresa announced as the three cards appeared on her side of the field. "It's your move Victor!"

"Excellent." Victor announced as he drew his card. "And now the real duel begins, I activate Terra-Forming! You've seen my agents use this card enough times to know what it does, so I won't bother explaining the effect."

"Yeah but what's the point?" Chloe asked as Victor started inputting commands into his duel disk. "You already have the Seal of the Orichalcos in play, you can't play another Field Spell because that would just destroy the seal."

"And the seal can't be destroyed." Victor nodded as he added the card to his hand, let the deck auto-shuffle and sent his Spell to the graveyard. "But that is not my intention, I don't intend to destroy the Seal even if I could, I intend to add another layer to it! I activate Orichalcos Dueteros!" Victor announced as he played the card and the seal surrounding the four duelists got even stronger. "Orichalcos Dueteros comes with all the effects of the Seal of the Orichalcos, however it also comes with a few effects of its own, for starters I can use its effect to increase my life-points by five hundred points for each monster I control."

"In other words, only five hundred points." Theresa commented as she folded her arms. "Never mind the fact that that move violates the Duel Monsters rulebook several times over, what else does the second layer of the Orichalcos do?"

"You'll find out in due time, next I flip summon Orichalcos Gigas!" Victor announced as he flipped the monster up and a large brown muscular humanoid appeared on the field (4/400/400). "Next I pay five hundred life-points to summon Orichalcos Kyutora to the field." Victor announced as he played the card and a strange being made of tentacles with a single eye appeared on the field (3/500/500). "Anything you want to say before I continue my turn?" Victor asked as his monster's attacks went up to 900 and 1000 respectively thanks to the seal.

"I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going." Lance quipped causing the other duelists to face-fault in response.

"Yes, quite." Victor grumbled as he got back to his feet. "Now to business, Orichalcos Gigas, attack Silent Magician Level 8!"

"Okay Silent Magician get ready to def….wait, what?!" Chloe exclaimed clearly expecting an attack on Lance as the much weaker monster charged towards her magician, Silent Magician shook her head before firing a beam of light at Orichalcos Gigas destroying the monster effortlessly. "I hope your happy Victor, you just cost yourself 2600 points of damage!"

"Did I?" Victor asked with a grin as Chloe realized that Kyutora was absorbing the light from Silent Magician's attack. "As long as I have Orichalcos Kyutora on the field, I take no battle damage."

"Maybe but you still cost yourself a perfectly good monster." Lance responded only for Orichalcos Gigas to return to the field with its power increased to 1400. "Or not."

"When Orichalcos Gigas is destroyed as a result of battle it automatically returns to the field with an extra five hundred attack points." Victor explained with a grin. "It's a long way to go before he can best your magician but as long as I don't mind skipping my draw phase that won't be a problem."

"Oh yeah? Well, here's some math for you." Chloe responded as she folded her arms. "Orichalcos Gigas started with 400 attack points not counting the boost from the seal, it's attack points are now at 1400 thanks to its own effect but that's still a difference of 2100 points." Chloe added before smirking. "In other words, even if Orichalcos Gigas eats attacks from me, Lance and Theresa on our next turn the most you can do is destroy Lance's monarch so we're going to be here all day before you can destroy my magician."

"That is a risk that I am willing to take." Victor responded as he activated his remaining trap. "I activate Reckless Greed, this will help me get around Gigas's effect by allowing me to draw two cards in exchange for my next draw phase." Victor added as he drew his cards. "I set two cards facedown and I activate the first effect of Orichalcos Dueteros." Victor added as his life-points went up to 24,500. "That shall conclude my turn."

"This is nuts, Victor already has a huge lead thanks to the rules of this handicap duel but thanks to the second Seal of the Orichalcos he can keep replenishing his life-points." Chloe thought as she drew her card and looked at it. "Diffusion Wave Motion, it will get rid of Victor's monsters, but all the damage would just get absorbed by Kyutora and he can just summon Gigas again, Victor never said anything about Kyutora being indestructible though." Chloe thought before making her choice. "Silent Magician, attack Orichalcos Kyutora!" Chloe commanded and the magician pointed her staff at the strange being….

"Thank you for doing exactly what I wanted you to do." Victor responded with a grin as his facedown card flipped up, "Seto Kaiba may have fought against the Orichalcos in his youth but his cards still have their uses, I activate Attack Guidance Armor to change the Magician's target to Gigas!" Victor added as the hideous armor appeared on Orichalcos Gigas before Silent Magician fired a beam of light at Orichalcos Gigas destroying him. "As I stated before, Kyutora means that I don't take any damage and off course, Gigas returns to the field." Victor added as the monster returned to the field with its attack power now at 1900.

"Sorry guys." Chloe sighed in annoyance and Lance gave her a reassuring grin.

"Actually Chloe? I was counting on that." Lance responded as his own facedown card flipped up. "Because now Orichalcos Gigas is powerful enough for me to use Bottomless Trap Hole on it!" Lance added and Victor's eyes widened as the pit opened beneath Gigas destroying it. "And since Bottomless Trap Hole removes Gigas from play he isn't coming back!"

"And that means Kyutora is right for the picking." Chloe added with a grin before nodding to her boyfriend. "It's your move Lance!"

"I draw!" Lance announced as he drew his card and true to Victor's word Thestalos returned to the field. "I don't have another monster to use The Claw of Hermos on, only one way to get around this!" Lance thought before pointing to Kyutora. "Right, let's finish what Chloe started! Thestalos, attack Orichalcos Kyutora!" Lance commanded and the monarch threw a fireball at Kyutora….

"I activate Orichalcos Shield!" Victor responded as his facedown card flipped up and to everyone's shock Victor jumped in front of the monster taking the damage for it. "As long as this Continuous Trap Card is active, any attack that would go to my monster goes to my life-points instead." Victor explained as he got back to his feet. "And thanks to Kyutora I don't take any damage." Victor added as the monster absorbed the flames from the fireball.

"We need to deal with that card, but what worries me is that I can't help but shake the feeling that there's more to that monster than simple life-point protection, so far it has taken the damage from two attacks from Chloe's magician and one attack by Lance's monarch, there has to be more too it." Theresa thought before looking at her hand. "Lance, can I take my turn yet?" Theresa asked and Lance looked over his hand.

"I set one card facedown and end my turn." Lance announced and Theresa drew her card.

"I don't know how we can deal with Kyutora with that trap card on the field but it's not like we can't try." Theresa thought as she looked at her hand. "Fortunately for us, I don't have a monster strong enough to beat Kyutora's defense points yet, but I can set up for another move." Theresa decided before playing the card. "I activate Reinforcement of the Army! With this I add one Level 4 or lower Warrior Type Monster to my hand." Theresa added as she started inputting commands into her duel disk, once she added the card to her hand, she turned to Lance and Chloe. "Guys, until we find a way to destroy Orichalcos Shield, do not attack Victor!"

"Because the attack will be wasted?" Chloe asked and Theresa nodded.

"That's part of it, yes." Theresa responded before turning her attention to Victor's monster. "But at the same time, I can't help but think that Victor is hiding something and that there's something more to his monster than just a way to keep his life-points as ludicrously high as possible."

"I can't help but agree Theresa, he's been hiding behind the scenes this whole time and the best he can offer are two weak monsters? If that's all he's got up his sleeve, then I'm burning my porn collection as soon as I get home." Lance responded and the girls nodded in agreement. "Scout's honor."

"We'll hold you too that if Theresa's wrong, just make sure to do it outdoors and as far away from any building or the north side of the island as possible." Chloe responded with a frown. "Last thing we need is the whole island becoming a raging inferno because you kept a promise."

"That and I'm pretty sure that would be a one way trip to immediate expulsion." Theresa nodded in agreement before turning her attention back to Victor. "I set a monster in defense mode and end my turn."

"They are starting to catch on, but if I can keep this up a little longer than I will be indestructible." Victor thought as Theresa's second facedown monster appeared on the field and Victor skipped his draw phase thanks to both Gigas's and Reckless Greed's effects. "I activate my facedown card Orichalcos Call! Since I control at least one card with the Orichalcos name attached I can search my deck for a Field Spell with the word Orichalcos in its name."

"Don't tell me there's a third layer to the damn seal!" Chloe groaned as she ran a hand down her face. "As if you hadn't run over the Duel Monster's Rulebook with a steamroller enough times already!"

"As a matter of fact, there is!" Victor responded as he added the card to his hand and let his deck auto-shuffle. "And I won't keep you in suspense, I activate Orichalcos Tritos!" Victor announced as he played the card and the seal got even stronger.

"So, just so we're clear." Chloe stated as she turned to Sophia. "Is this another new rule that your introducing or am I right about this effect violating the rules ten ways from Sunday?"

"If I intended Layered Field Spells to be a thing, you would've heard about it by now." Sophia explained and Chloe nodded. "Since you haven't, well, I'll let you draw your own conclusions there."

"Got it." Chloe nodded before turning her attention back to Victor. "So, are you going to explain what Tritos does?"

"As with the other layer, this retains all the effects of the other Seals." Victor explained as he folded his arms. "With this effect, all Trap Cards that would target my own monsters have their effects negated and destroyed."

"Great, what's the forth layer going to do? Make us automatically lose the duel?" Lance deadpanned and Chloe and Theresa quickly covered his mouth even if Chloe had to stand on her toes to reach that high.

"Don't give him ideas!" The two girls scalded him, and Lance winced as a sweat-drop rolled down his head whilst Victor chuckled.

"Fortunately for you, there is no fourth layer, I never discovered one during my research and Dr. Schwartz never got around to making one before his untimely demise." Victor responded as he shook his head and the three duelists frowned as the girls removed their hands from Lance's mouth. "I end my turn but feel free to attack me again."

"Not going to happen." Chloe responded as she drew her card, however the moment say lay eyes on its Chloe's grin widened. "On second thought, I will."

"Chloe, what did I just say?!" Theresa asked with an annoyed look on her face and Chloe gave her a reassuring grin.

"You said not to attack Victor until we had dealt with his Trap Card." Chloe responded before she played the card. "I think Mystical Space Typhoon will do the trick, don't you?" Chloe asked and Theresa grinned whilst Victor's eyes widened as the storm washed over the field destroying Orichalcos Shield. "Now to finish what I started last turn! Silent Magician Level 8, attack Orichalcos Kyutora!" Chloe commanded and the magician pointed her staff at the monster before firing a beam of light at the monster destroying it.

However, as the monster was destroyed Victor chuckled. "You fool! That was exactly what I wanted you to do! When Orichalcos Kyutora is destroyed I can Special Summon it's evolved form, Orichalcos Shuneros!"

"Oh god, I remember that thing from Battle City!" Lance winced as the massive doll like creature appeared on the field (10/7600/7600) and when they saw the stats the students panicked. "I don't remember it being that strong!"

"The Orichalcos Shuneros Phillip used in Battle City was a fake, an imposter made by Dr. Schwartz to suit his deck." Victor explained as he folded his arms. "But after Phillip was killed, I realized that continued usage of that card was too dangerous, so I ordered all copies of the imposter destroyed, I own the one and only original." Victor added before smirking. "As for its strength, you have no one but yourselves to blame for that, when Shuneros is summoned then all the damage absorbed by Kyutora is transferred to it's attack and defense points."

"We were playing into your hand this whole time." Chloe realized as her eyes widened. "Guys, I'm so sorry!"

"Don't be, you had no way of knowing that would happen." Theresa assured her and Chloe nodded. "That said, if you have a way to move Silent Magician to defense mode, I'd suggest doing it!"

"Nothing in my hand, and since I attacked with Silent Magician, I can't switch her to defense mode." Chloe thought before remembering something. "Wait, what where the cards I discarded for Heaven's Lost Property on our first turn?" Chloe wondered before checking her graveyard, once she saw the card, she needed Chloe returned the cards to her graveyard and retrieved it. "Before I end my turn, I remove A/D Changer from my graveyard to move Silent Magician into defense mode." Chloe added as the magician knelt. "Lance, I hope you have a plan for dealing with that thing!"

"Babe, I wasn't expecting to deal with a monster with a base attack of 7600 attacks points!" Lance protested as he drew his card. "Yes, I can use this to deal with Shuneros!" Lance thought before playing the card. "I summon Ultimate Baseball Kid in attack mode!" Lance called out and after a simultaneous face-palm from everyone in the room (except Victor and including Kaiba) the young boy in the baseball uniform appeared on the field (4/500/1000). "Now I know my choice is a little odd."

"No, really, DO TOU THINK?!" Every other duelist in the room (except Victor and including Kaiba) yelled out and Lance face-faulted.

"But there is a method to my madness! A card that I've been saving since the first turn." Lance announced as he played the card. "I activate the Claw of Hermos! And I fuse it with Ultimate Baseball Kid!" Lance announced and the other duelists breathed a sigh of relief as the two cards fused together to make Ultimate Bat. "I equip Ultimate Bat to Thestalos, and I activate its effect, at the cost of a thousand life-points I'll destroy Shuneros and take out a chunk of your life-points!"

"All this build up to the final confrontation with Victor, potentially ended by a baseball bat." Chloe commented as she shook her head whilst her boyfriend's life-points dropped to 7000. "Almost seems anti-climactic, I haven't even used the Eye of Timaeus yet!"

"Don't worry, you'll get your chance." Victor responded as he played a card from his hand. "From my hand I activate Orichalcos Stonewall! Since you just attempted to destroy one or more of my monsters this will negate the effect and destroy the card in question." Victor added and the bat shattered. "Better luck next time, if there is one."

"There has to be a way to get rid of that thing, hopefully we can figure it out before it takes a chunk out of our life-points." Lance thought as he sent the card to the graveyard. "I move Thestalos to defense mode and end my turn."

"And I'm suddenly glad that I'm the only one to play defensively." Theresa thought as she drew her card, however when she saw the card her eyes lit up. "First I activate Card of Demise! I'll draw until I have five cards in my hand but in five turns those cards will go to the graveyard alongside the rest of my hand." Theresa commented as she played the card and drew her three cards. "Here goes nothing." Theresa thought before playing the card. "I activate Super Soldier Ritual! I send my facedown Twilight Knight and Beginning Knight to the graveyard to special summon Black Luster Soldier – Super Soldier!" Theresa announced as she played the card and her signature soldier appeared on the field (8/3000/2500). "Super Soldier, attack Shuneros!"

"And you face-palmed at my move!?" Lance asked as the soldier charged into battle. "Don't know if you've noticed the massive difference between his monster's attack and yours Theresa!"

"I have noticed, which is why I'm activating Honest!" Theresa responded as she discarded the card and the Super Soldier's attack points shot up to 10,600. "More than enough to take out Shuneros and thanks to Beginning Knight my soldier will gain another attack!"

"Would be a shame if I forgot to mention something about Shuneros." Victor responded and Theresa blinked before the attack was blocked by one of Shuneros's arms. "When I summoned Shuneros it also summoned Orichalcos Dexia and Orichalcos Aristeros!" Victor said as he motioned to the two cards (4/0/0) and (4/0/0). "Dartz called these monsters the perfect shield and the perfect sword respectively and here's why, when the opponent declares an attack, I can change the attack target to Aristeros and it's defense becomes equal to that monster's attack plus three hundred." Victor added as Theresa's life-points dropped to 7700.

"Fine, since there's no point in the second attack, I'll use Super Soldier's other effect to remove Aristeros from play." Theresa responded as the soldier charged towards the arm again.

"I'm afraid not, I activate the effect of Orichalcos Dueteros negating the effect and destroying your soldier." Victor responded as the Soldier shattered. "You can't fight fate, soon, I will be in control of this world."

"Didn't think it was possible to find a world leader worse than the current US President but here you go." Theresa thought before setting a card. "I set a monster in defense mode and end my turn." Theresa added and Victor drew his card.

"It'll only be a matter of time before they discover the side effect of Shuneros, I need to end it before then." Victor thought before looking at his card. "Shuneros, attack Thestalos, the Firestorm Monarch!" Victor commanded and the massive doll like monster launched a strange pentagram at Thestalos destroying it. "Just admit it Lance, you are out of your league."

"I'll admit that the same day Kaiba admits that Yugi's a better duelist than him." Lance responded only to hear Kaiba clear his throat over Sophia's phone. "I didn't realize that you had him on call."

"Kaiba asked me to keep him updated once the duel against Victor started." Sophia explained as she stepped forward. "I figured this was a faster way than sending him a lot of texts."

"Tell my old business partner that as soon as I'm done with these brats I'm coming after him first!" Victor responded with a frown before turning his attention to his opponents. "When Shuneros destroys a monster by battle, that monster's attack points get deducted from his attack points." Victor explained as Shuneros's attack points dropped to 5200. "And if that brings you some relief that you might be able to bring down that thing, let me remind you of his close friends." Victor added as he motioned to Dexia and Aristeros. "I end my turn, use your turn wisely, overwise? You'll have your first casualty."

"Not if we can help it." Chloe responded as she drew her card, however as she did, she alongside Theresa and Lance were enveloped by a bright light.

*in the Duel Monster Spirit World*

"And here's a place I never thought I'd see again." Chloe muttered under her breath as they found themselves in front of a familiar Greek temple. "Let me guess, you guys got your Legendary Dragons here as well?"

"Yeah, we did." Theresa nodded in response as did Lance. "I have no idea why we were teleported here though."

"Well, whatever the reason, I just hope that we don't have to pull a sword out of a frozen statue again." Lance admitted as he ran a hand through his hair. "Damn near threw out my back the first time around."

"You've got no excuse, you are great at PE, me? I'm the klutz everyone laughs at during PE!" Chloe protested with a frown on her face before a familiar face appeared before them. "Dark Magician Girl?"

"Yes, it is I." Dark Magician Girl nodded as she appeared before the three heroes. "You have all done well to make it this far, but you need additional help."

"We have the Legendary Dragons." Theresa pointed out as she stepped forward. "How much more help do we need?"

"The Legendary Dragons are powerful but to unlock their true potential, you will need to look into your hearts, only then can you bring the evil down." Dark Magician Girl responded before touching all three duelists in the chest with her staff starting from Chloe and ending with Theresa. "Good luck brave heroes, and please bring this evil down once and for all."

*back in the real world*

"I swear, if this whole Orichalcos thing ends up being a weird dream that I'm having on my first day as an Osiris Red Student, I'll scream." Chloe thought as she, Lance and Theresa came too and once the three teens regained their senses Chloe looked at her drawn card. "What the…" Chloe thought as she stared at the Spell Card in her hand. "I've never seen this card before, let alone added it to my deck, I wonder." Chloe thought before looking up at Victor. "Hey Victor, quick question, can Spell Cards I play affect my partners?"

"I2 CEO, right over here." Sophia called out as a large sweat-drop rolled down her head. "I could give you a more definitive answer than the guy who's been bending the Duel Monsters Rule Book over more times than a porn star!"

"No backseat dueling!" Victor called back before turning his attention back to Chloe. "The answer is yes, why are you asking?"

"Good, because I wouldn't be able to do this! First I summon Expert Axe Raider in attack mode!" Chloe announced as she played the card and the retrained version of Axe Raider appeared on the field (4/1700/1150). "Expert Axe Raider can't be destroyed in battle by monsters with more than two thousand attack points and whilst Shuneros definitely qualifies for his effect, that isn't why I'm summoning him."

"It isn't?" Victor asked with a confused look on his face as Chloe played a card.

"Why don't I just show you? I activate The Legend of Heart!" Chloe announced as she played the card and Chloe and Theresa's decks started glowing whilst Lance's graveyard glowed. "This requires that I pay a thousand life-points and then sacrifice one Warrior Type Monster I control." Chloe added as her life-points dropped to 7000 and Expert Axe Raider disappeared from the field. "Next, it requires that I remove from play The Eye of Timaeus, The Fang of Critius and the Claw of Hermos from play from either my deck, hand or graveyard." Chloe added as she held up The Eye of Timaeus as did Lance and Theresa with their Legendary Dragons. "Why do I need to go through all this trouble? So, I can summon three monsters." Chloe added as three cards appeared from out of nowhere in their hands. "I summon Legendary Knight Timaeus!"

"I summon Legendary Knight Hermos!" Lance called out as he played the card.

"And I summon Legendary Knight Critias!" Theresa called out and one by one the three warriors appeared on the field, the noble nights were all clad in the colors of their respective cards with Timaeus being an emerald blue, Critius being purple with a cape and Hermos being a crimson red.

But that wasn't all that caught their eye (8/2800/1800) each. "Those cards have our likenesses." Chloe realized as the three knights turned to face them with Timaeus looking the most feminine out of the three with Chloe's elbow length dark brown hair and green eyes whilst Hermos sported Lance's shoulder length black hair, Critias on the other hand didn't show Theresa's hair but still bared her likeness and Theresa assumed that it was because she was wearing her hair in a ponytail like Theresa. "This is so cool!"

"Our world is in danger and all you can think off is how cool this is?" Theresa deadpanned and Chloe sweat-dropped in response. "Not saying that I disagree with you but priorities Chloe!"

"Right, sorry." Chloe responded sheepishly before nodding to her knight as the three knights turned their attention back to Victor. "That isn't all my Spell Card did, since we're playing in the Orichalcos I can destroy any Seal whilst ignoring it's effect that protects it from being destroyed! So say good-bye to your seal's extra layers!"

"No!" Victor exclaimed as the seal weakened back to its original state. "You will pay for this!"

"To think, I was kidding about him sounding like the villain from a Saturday Morning Cartoon Show earlier." Chloe thought before pointing to her knight. "Next I activate the effect of my knight, allowing her to absorb Silent Magician Level 8!" Chloe added as Silent Magician became merged with Legendary Knight Timaeus increasing her attack to 6200. "No hard feelings about that, Silent Magician?"

"No but please don't make a habit of it." Silent Magician responded as she appeared next to Chloe. "That was not a pleasant experience!"

"Sorry!" Chloe apologized sheepishly before pointing to Shuneros. "Legendary Knight Timaeus, attack Orichalcos Shuneros!" Chloe commanded and the knight charged into battle…

"Didn't you learn from when Theresa tried that?" Victor asked as Dexia got in the path of the knight.

"I did, from my graveyard I activate Effect Decliner!" Chloe added as a small humanoid in a judge's outfit appeared on the field carrying a comically oversized hammer (1/0/0) and as Chloe pocketed the monster the judge slammed the hammer down and Dexia stopped in it's tracks and to Victor's shock Shuneros's attack plummeted to zero. "By removing this monster from play I can negate the effects of all monsters on your side of the field, only reason I didn't do it doing Theresa's turn is because it has to be activated during my turn." Chloe added as the knight slashed Shuneros across the chest destroying it, Dexia and Aristeros and bringing Victor's life-points down to 19,500. "Your best monster is gone Victor, and it's only a matter of time before we defeat you!"

"Who said Shuneros was my best monster?" Victor asked with a maniacal grin as he retrieved a card from his deck. "When Shuneros is destroyed I can summon my best monster for small price." Victor added as his life-points plummeted to zero and a dark portal opened in front of him. "Come forth, Divine Serpent Geh!" Victor announced as he played the card and massive snake's head popped up from out of the portal (10/infinite/infinite).

"Err, guys?" Chloe asked as her eyes went as wide as dinner plates. "Please tell me I'm reading it's stats wrong?"

"I wish I could." Lance gulped as he stared at the monster. "But that thing has infinite attack points!"

"This is bad." Theresa commented as panic started to set in. "And if I survive this, I'll happily take my award for "biggest understatement of all time"."

"As you can see, my life-points are at zero." Victor explained as he held up his duel disk. "Under normal circumstances, I would lose the duel, but as long as the Divine Serpent remains on the field, I cannot lose the duel and every time I want to attack with this magnificent beast, I have to mill ten cards from my deck." Victor explained before smirking. "So, say goodbye to your friends, for this is the last time you'll ever see them."

"Don't listen to him guys." Chelsea called out to them and they turned their attention to her. "No monster is unbeatable and if Yugi can find a way to destroy that thing, so can you!"

"Make your last pathetic moves." Victor added whilst ignoring Chelsea and Chloe gulped before looking over her hand.

"Man, I can't do anything right in this duel! First I allow Victor to summon Shuneros and now Victor has a monster with infinite attack points because I thought Shuneros was the biggest threat he had!" Chloe thought before looking over her hand. "Never mind my deck, there isn't a monster in the whole game that can attack over his serpent, I'd better hope that he decides not to attack me." Chloe thought with a shudder before nodding to Lance. "It's your turn Lance."

"Don't worry Chloe, we'll get through this no matter what." Lance assured her as he drew his card and whilst his girlfriend remained unconvinced Lance looked over his hand. "Nothing I can do about his serpent, wait a minute, I've got an idea." Lance thought before playing a card. "I activate Curse of Fiend, with this I can force all monsters on the field to switch positions." Lance announced as he played the card and the girls breathed a sigh of relief as all three knights knelt into defense mode whilst the Divine Serpent made no visible movements. "What? Is that thing immune to Spell Cards as well?"

"No, you can only see its head, even I'm not sure what the rest of it's body looks like." Victor responded as he shook his head. "Anything else?"

"Nope, over to you Theresa." Lance added and Theresa nodded before drawing her card.

"Good news is, if we can destroy the Divine Serpent then this duel is over." Theresa thought as she drew her card and glared at the massive monster. "Bad news is, said serpent has infinite attack points and whilst my copy of Honest is in the graveyard I'm sure that if I tried to raise one of my monster's attack points beyond infinity, I'd break my duel disk." Theresa thought before looking at her hand. "I pass my turn."

"Is that all? Pity." Victor responded as he drew his card, however when he looked at it he grinned maniacally before playing it. "I just secured the doom of at least one of you! I activate Divine Reckoning! If this Spell Card is on the field and I have Divine Serpent on the field, all my opponents' monsters are forced into attack mode!" Victor explained and the three students' eyes widened as their knights reluctantly stood up. "Furthermore, from now on you cannot place monsters into defense mode! This duel is mine! Divine Serpent, attack Legendary Knight Timaeus!" Victor commanded before milling ten cards and the serpent lunged out of the portal towards Chloe's monster.

"This is it! Because of my stupid mistake, the world is doomed!" Chloe thought as she braced herself before closing her eyes. "Mom, dad, everyone at Duel Academy, I'm so sorry!" Chloe thought as a tear ran down her cheek.

"I activate the effect of Legendary Knight Hermos!" Lance called out and Chloe's eyes snapped open before she glanced over at her boyfriend. "By removing three cards from my deck I can add their attack points to his so I remove Bonfire Colossus, Great Angus and Thestalos, the Mega Monarch from play so I can boost his attack points up to ten thousand!" Lance announced as he pocketed the three cards and Hermos's attack shot up to ten thousand. "And I defend Legendary Knight Timaeus with Hermos!"

"Lance, no!" Chloe called out to him but it was too late as Hermos shoved Timaeus to the ground before being bitten in half by the Divine Serpent destroying him and sending Lance's life-points well bellow zero, Chloe watched on stunned as her boyfriend collapsed to one knee whilst the seal closed in around him. "What were you thinking?!" Chloe demanded as the tears started to well up in her eyes and Lance looked up at her.

"Hey, when I started dating you, I promised myself that I would protect you, no matter what." Lance responded whilst Theresa covered her mouth in shock and the students and pro-duelists on the outside watched on in stunned silence. "Even if one of us goes down, we still have a fighting chance, I love you Chloe." Lance added before his soul was consumed by the Orichalcos, once he had let out his blood curdling scream Lance collapsed, and his soul appeared on the wall.

"Wasn't the result I was hoping for but as the old saying goes, one down, many more to go." Victor responded with a sadistic grin as Chloe collapsed to her knees clearly shell-shocked from what had just happened. "I end my turn."

"Chloe, listen to me." Theresa called to her as Chloe continued to cry her eyes out. "Lance wouldn't want this, he'd want you to continue fighting." Theresa added but it was no use as Chloe was clearly in no condition to duel.

"I…..." Chloe trailed off without looking up at either Theresa or Victor. "I pass my turn." Chloe sobbed and Theresa reluctantly drew her card.

"As much as I like Chloe, I can't put my life in danger like Lance did." Theresa thought as she glanced over at Chloe as the younger woman continued to sob over Lance's comatose body. "As her friend, I want to give her the biggest hug I can manage and assure her that everything's going to be alright, but I can't lose focus." Theresa thought before staring up at the serpent. "Because all our efforts will be for naught if we can't take down that serpent." Theresa thought before reading the effect of her knight. "And my knight might be our best shot." Theresa thought before discarding a card. "I discard a card due to hand size and end my turn."

"That's all? Pity." Victor commented as he drew his card, he then milled an additional ten cards and Theresa knew what was coming next. "Divine Serpent, finish what you started last turn." Victor commanded and the serpent lunged forward…

"I activate the effect of Legendary Knight Critias!" Theresa interrupted him as she held up the card she had just discarded. "With it, he can absorb one trap card from my hand one trap card from my hand or graveyard, I chose to have him absorb Negate Attack!" Theresa added as the knight lunged in front of the serpent before blocking his bite with her sword sending it reeling back into the portal. "I don't know how long I can keep this up, come on Chloe snap out of it!"

"Very well." Victor nodded before looking over his hand. "I end my turn."

"Come on Chloe, I know your in there." Theresa thought as she glanced over at Chloe. "Chloe, remember what you always said when the odds are against you."

"That I'd never give up as long as I had life-points left." Chloe said as she looked up at the taller woman, Theresa sighed when she saw how bloodshot Chloe's eyes where and the younger woman shook her head. "But every time I make a big move in this duel, I only manage to screw things up for us!"

"We all make mistakes Chloe, and I'd be lying if I said that I have never made one myself." Theresa responded and Chloe hesitated. "You know it's what Lance would want."

"I pass my turn." Chloe sighed and Theresa said nothing as she drew her card.

"It's useless, nothing I can say can break through her shell." Theresa thought with a frown as she looked at her hand. "I don't know how long I can keep this…" Theresa thought before her eyes widened. "I don't have a single viable card in my hand, my set cards were meant to work with my Black Luster Soldiers but I'm not drawing them either!" Theresa thought before sighing. "I discard a card due to hand size and end my turn."

"Pathetic, where's the fight you ladies had at the beginning of the duel?!" Victor asked as he drew his card, without looking at it he milled another ten cards. "Let's see if you can still protect her, Divine Serpent, attack Legendary Knight Timaeus!" Victor commanded and the serpent lunged forward.

"Critias, defend Timaeus!" Theresa called out and Chloe's head snapped up as Theresa's knight took the blow for Timaeus destroying the knight and sending Theresa's life-points down to zero.

"No, no, this is not happening!" Brandon yelled out as he saw his girlfriend collapse and the seal close in around her.

"Theresa, I'm so sorry." Chloe sobbed as she saw her friend about to be consumed by the Orichalcos. "I wasn't strong enough!"

"Chloe, that's nonsense and you know it." Theresa responded as she turned to her friend. "It's all up to you Chloe, I know you'll pull through, remember, you are a lot stronger than you think you are." Theresa added before the seal claimed her soul, as Theresa collapsed Chloe just knelt there motionless as Theresa's soul appeared on the wall.

"And then, there was one." Victor said before clasping the stone around his neck. "And to speed up my eventual win." Victor added as he became consumed with green energy.

"What are you…..." Chloe trailed off before she heard several blood curdling screams coming from the sidelines, she looked up and realized, to her horror, that her friends' souls had been captured. "You bastard!"

"I could've just done that from the beginning, but I chose not to." Victor added as he glanced at Chloe. "Far more fun this way, I end my turn."

"Is that all we are too you?!" Chloe demanded as she pulled herself to her feet and glared daggers at Victor. "Toys to play around with?! Lance, he is my lover and someone I want to spend the rest of my life with, Theresa, she was one of the first people who saw potential in me as a duelist, all my friends, gone, just like that?"

"And you will soon follow." Victor responded and Chloe clenched a fist.

"Not if I can help it! I draw." Chloe responded as she drew a card. "This is it, me, all alone, against a monster I can't hope to attack over." Chloe thought as she glanced up at the serpent. "I haven't felt this lonely and helpless since mom was murdered and dad went to jail, or at least should've gone to jail."

"Chloe, there is a way you can win." Silent Magician told her mentally and Chloe glanced up as her partner appeared next to her. "Remember what he said when he summoned the Serpent."

"What he said…I got it!" Chloe thought before looking at her facedown cards. "Urgent Tuning and Silent Burning, those cards won't help me now." Chloe thought before looking at her drawn card. "But this can, I'd better pray that he doesn't draw Mystical Space Typhoon, or if he does, he targets the wrong card." Chloe thought before setting the drawn card. "I set one card facedown and end my turn." Chloe added as she glared daggers at Victor. "Do your worst."

"Defiant to the end, admirable, if not foolish." Victor responded as he drew his card, however he ignored it and pointed too Legendary Knight Timaeus. "Divine Serpent, finish her off!" Victor commanded and the snake lunged forward. "Fitting, isn't it? You were the first Battle City participant to take on one of my agents, and now? You will be the last."

"For once, we agree." Chloe nodded as her facedown card flipped up. "But not for the same reason your thinking off! I activate Dimensional Prison!"

"Didn't you hear me earlier? Dimensional Prison targets a card and with Orichalcos Tritos…." Victor trailed off as his eyes widened. "You destroyed Orichalcos Tritos!"

"Exactly!" Chloe responded as she held up The Legend of Heart. "And what was it you said again? Oh yeah, when the Divine Serpent leaves the battlefield, you lose." Chloe added as energy started to swirl around the Divine Serpent as the three knights returned to the field. "Huh?"

"Your trap won't be enough to destroy it!" Timaeus told her as she turned to Chloe. "Send us into battle!"

"Right." Chloe nodded before pointing to the Divine Serpent. "For everyone you've hurt for your twisted goals, this is justice! Legendary Knights, destroy the Divine Serpent!" Chloe commanded and the knights charged into battle before slashing at the Divine Serpent with their swords, the serpent tried to fight back but the energy from Dimensional Prison kept it to occupied for it to fight back.

Until eventually, the Divine Serpent's severed head, which was bigger than Chloe's entire body, fell out of the portal. "What have you done?!" Victor demanded as the seal started to break down around him. "I was so close!"

"What I just did, was save the world." Chloe responded before Victor let out a blood curdling scream and vanished into thin air, Chloe took several deep breaths as the wall shattered around her and she looked around. "Is that it? Is it over?"

"Ugh, did someone catch the number of that tank that ran me over?" Lance groaned and Chloe looked up. "Or the elephants for that matter?" Lance asked as he sat up.

"LANCE!" Chloe called out before running up to her boyfriend and giving him the biggest hug, she could muster with tears of joy running down her face. "Please, don't scare me like that again." Chloe added as she kissed her boyfriend.

"What? No hug for me?" Theresa asked with a grin as she looked up and Chloe glanced over at her. "Is it really over?" Theresa asked as the others started to get up.

"One way to be sure." Chloe responded before she went over to the only thing that remained of Victor, namely his duel disk, she opened the field spell slot and breathed a sigh of relief before holding up the card. "It's over." Chloe added as she held up the now blank Spell Card. "I think this calls for a celebration back at the hotel!"

"Just no pizza parties, I think this occasion calls for something a bit more upscale." Sophia responded with a nod before turning to Chelsea. "Your sister works at a Michelin Starred Restaurant, correct?"

"Yeah, as the Executive Sous Chef." Chelsea nodded in response before grinning sheepishly. "Still don't know what the term means but I'm sure she can put something together for us with her boss."

"You have done well, all of you." Timaeus said as she, Critias and Hermos walked up to Chloe, Lance and Theresa respectively. "But now we must go, for the threat of the Orichalcos is no more."

"Will we ever see you again?" Lance asked and Hermos nodded.

"If the threat of the Orichalcos returns, we will return as well." Hermos responded before the three knights left in a brilliant light.

*later*

The surviving Orichalcos Duelists were all rounded up by the police and more importantly for Chloe, she had retrieved her dad's trophies and tape, right now they were having a celebration party at the hotel with the food being served by Jamie and her boss.

"Chloe, I'm so proud of you." Scott said over the phone and Chloe grinned in response. "Enjoy your stay in California, as you know, we'll have a lot to talk about when you return."

"I look forward to it, dad." Chloe nodded as she brushed some hair behind her ear. "Have you been discharged from the hospital yet?"

"Yes, I was discharged not long after I woke up." Scott nodded in response and Chloe grinned. "Only one thing left, enjoying the rest of your stay at Duel Academy."

"Looking forward to it." Chloe nodded before Lance approached her with some drinks in his hand. "I'd better go, party's in full swing and all."

"Off course." Scott nodded before hanging up, Chloe took her drink from Lance and grinned as they shared a toast.

"Babe, I'm sorry for scaring you like that." Lance apologized with a sheepish grin. "I guess protective boyfriend mode kicked in and I just wanted to protect you."

"It's fine, to be honest, if you hadn't, we would've lost anyway." Chloe responded with a grin before taking a sip of her drink. "All I can think off is the future, well more specifically, the future for us."

"Why do I get the feeling that you've got an engagement ring in your jeans pocket?" Lance asked nervously and Chloe laughed.

"Don't worry, I'll wait a few years before we get that far." Chloe responded before kissing her boyfriend passionately. "But when the time does come, the answer will be yes!" Chloe added before kissing Lance again.

"It's really over?" Beth asked Chelsea over the phone as the Chicago native leaned over the railing on the balcony. "I knew you'd pull through Chelsea."

"Much as I'd like to say otherwise, I can't take all the credit for this." Chelsea responded with a grin before blowing a kiss to her girlfriend "And I got to say to Dan what I've been wanting to say to that asshole for years now."

"I only wish I could've been there to see it." Beth responded with a grin before Chelsea heard her dad clearing his throat. "I think your parents want to talk."

"I've been dreading this since we got back." Chelsea admitted with a sigh. "Love you Beth, see you when we return to Duel Academy."

"Love you too." Beth responded before blowing Chelsea a kiss, Chelsea let out a deep breath before she turned to her parents.

"Chelsea, I hope you understand that the intervention was for your own good." Chelsea's dad started and Chelsea nodded as she lowered her head. "I didn't anticipate hearing about some of the things you said however."

"My head wasn't in the right place, and I've apologized to Danny, Chris, Mark and Jamie so many times that I'm pretty sure that they are sick of the word "sorry" by now." Chelsea sighed as she folded her arms. "But it's just been so hard, I just wanted you guys to be proud of me but no matter what I tried, I kept screwing up big time." Chelsea added as tears started welling up and her mother put a hand on her shoulder.

"I know it's been hard, but we want to set the record straight." Her mother responded and Chelsea looked up. "You're an intelligent young lady and a beautiful one at that, for all your faults, we couldn't be less proud of you."

"Seriously?" Chelsea asked with a massive grin and her parents nodded, Chelsea said nothing for the longest time before sharing a group hug with her parents. "You have no idea how much it means for me to hear that from you."

"I think I've got a good idea." Her dad responded with a grin as they broke the hug. "You'll be a great duelist once you graduate from Duel Academy Chelsea, I just know it."

"Just don't disown me if I beat you in a tournament." Chelsea responded with a grin getting a laugh out of her parents.

"I can't believe it's finally over." Nicola admitted to Andreas as they looked out over the city skyline. "And too think, in a way we met because of the Orichalcos."

"Indeed." Andreas responded as he put a hand over his girlfriend's shoulder. "You have come a long way since then Nicola, all that's left is graduation."

"We still have a long way to go before then." Nicola added before kissing her boyfriend. "Let's try to enjoy our time at Duel Academy first." Nicola added before kissing Andreas again.

The students would continue to talk among each other for the rest of the night but once the party quietened down and they retired to their rooms for some well deserved sleep one thing was clear, they had a bright future ahead of them.
