Fear

Harry walked through the Israeli consulate with Ros at his side. Both were equally uneasy as the memory of a Mossad hit squad chasing Adam and Ros was imbedded on their brains. Ros kept silent, knowing that she scared David Soloman just by her presence. Harry glared straight ahead.

"You think Soloman is aware of what's going on?" Ros asked, her voice was clipped giving away the tension in her entire body. "That they colluded with the FSB?"

"I'm keeping an open mind." Harry stated firmly. A young woman approached them as Harry raised an eyebrow.

"Sir Harry, Officer Myers."

"Danielle." Harry frowned, recognising the personal secretary to the ambassador. "He's expecting us."

"I know but."

"But nothing." Ros pushed past the smaller woman. Harry gave her a cursory nod before following Ros into the office.

"Calum." Catherine crossed the Grid to where her husband was sat staring at a computer screen next to Malcolm.

"Hi." Calum barely registered her presence.

"Have you seen Ruth?"

"Eh?"

"You know, analyst? Five foot four, dark hair, bit bonkers, my step mum."

"Oh that Ruth." Tariq smirked as Calum finally realised the tone of voice his wife was using.

"No, think she went with Adam and Alec to analyse the interview with the Darshan lookalike." Calum answered.

"And Ros and Dad are in that meeting."

Malcolm looked up from his computer, aware his goddaughter was worried.

"Catherine? What's troubling you?"

"Lucas."

"What? Why?"

"The real Darshan was a psychopath. A torturer masquerading as a prison guard." Catherine but her lip. "Lucas was tortured by him. I've done my research. But now I can't find Lucas. He's not wearing his tracer. He sighed in as active but." She shrugged her shoulders. Malcolm nodded.

"He, Ros and Harry all have a habit of ditching communications when they want to. He's done this more than once." Malcolm tried to reassure her.

"Yeah." Tariq nodded. "Usually with Ros."

"Urgh, image I don't need." Catherine pulled a face as Calum smirked.

"Try him again. Then inform Harry and Ros of your concern." Malcolm turned back to the computer. Beth wheeled her chair across.

"Any luck?"

"Not yet. And I assure you, Miss Bailey luck has nothing to do with it." He huffed as Catherine and Beth exchanged assumed glances as Malcolm couldn't help but worry.

"We're following the money. A professional hit, an execution costs money. Lots of it." Tariq explained. "Money has to go from one place to the other. Following it, when we find it might help us find the sick scumbag."

Catherine nodded, she knew how well the Geek Squad worked together. There was no way she could get her head around what they did. Silently slipping away she couldn't help but worry about her friend. Lucas rarely dropped communication since she had joined the team. That he should start doing so was troubling.

"Harry!" David Soloman shook Harry's hand. "Ros! What do I owe this pleasure?"

Ros remained silent. Something felt wrong, she couldn't place it but she was convinced something was amiss. Harry explained the reason for their visit.

"A Mossad Hit? No no. Harry. You are watching too many Spy Thrillers. No such thing in real life."

"It was an Israeli weapon. Standard issue Mossad."

"Well the man carrying it wasn't! How did he get it?" Soloman was incredulous as Ros merely pushed an A5 photograph of 'Darshan' towards him. Soloman looked at the photo. "This is him?"

"Yes." Harry glared. "Pretending to be a dead man."

"How bizarre."

"We believe you know his real identity and what he was doing on UK soil." Harry kept calm as the grey haired man glared.

"Is he alive? Ask him."

"We came to the organ grinder, not the monkey." Ros let a sly smile creep on her face as the ambassador became more and more flustered. Harry leant back in his chair, looking like a snake that had captured his prey.

"Calm down David. Talk to us. Maybe we can help."

"if I do not?"

"A flight to Tel Aviv leaves in an hour. You could be on it." Ros watched as he flinched. "Would hate for the media to have a story on Israeli behaviour in London. Mossad Hit Squads would make front page news."

Soloman swore before slumping in his chair. He knew Harry and Ros had left him with little options.

Lucas felt sick. The smell of petrol hit him. His head throbbed as the car bounced around the roads. He knew he had been tazered- the burning pain in his neck giving it away. What he didn't understand was how he ended up gagged and bound in the boot of a small car. His legs cramped as he tried to ignore them. He sighed as he realised there was no way he was going to get free while the car was still moving.

Ros glared as she left the office. She knew Soloman wasn't telling them everything they knew. She knew Harry felt the same. Her mobile began ringing just as they headed towards the door..

"What?" She stopped in her tracks as Harry spun to look at her. The Blood seemed to drain from her face as she listened to the caller.

"Ros?"

"I'm on my way." Ros ended the call.

"Ros?"

"Apparently Lucas was dragged from the Thames thirty minutes ago. They want me to identify his body."

Harry swore as Ros seemed to completely shut down. "I'll drive."

"It's not him." She found herself repeating Ruth's words from the day before. She knew his PTSD had been plaguing him more in recent days but there was no way she could believe he was capable of committing suicide. "It's not him."

Harry nodded, praying that she was right.
