Laney loved eating and making sweets. Unfortunately, the man she was in love with didn't share her sweet tooth. In fact, there was only one day in the entire year that Cam would accept chocolate: Valentine's Day. Every year Laney watched Cam politely accept the chocolates. If she was lucky, he would take a small nibble.
This year was going to be different. Laney was going to make candy that Cam would enjoy or at least take a whole bite of. With her sleeves rolled up and her hair pulled back, she got to work. Tradition dictated that she use chocolate in her dessert, which made things a bit tricky but not impossible. Laney poured cacao powder into two bowls. She added spices to one bowl to make spicy chocolate and prepared a spice mix as filling for the chocolate from the second bowl. I hope these taste good.
