Chapter 8:
The X-Men were all in the lab with minor cuts and bruises on their bodies feeling anxious and worried for poor Anya, was taken by Sinister. Everyone was concerned but no one was more determined to find her than Kurt. "Anything Hank?" He asked. "Almost..." He trailed off as he typed. Soon there was a beep from the computer "I found her!" He said. On the screen a light blinked continuously signaling Anya's location. "We have to go, now!" Exclaimed Kurt. "Not so fast Kurt we need to use caution, Sinister might be planning for us: he could be anticipating our arrival, or at the least they've already discarded the tracking device." Said Charles. The blue furred teen then fell quiet as he registered the wiser man's words. "Logan, Storm, Kitty, Jean, and Scott: you all get to the jet. Kurt: go get Rogue and Gambit then meet with the other in the garage. Hank I'd like for you to go as well just in case." Said the Professor earning himself a collection of nods from his students and friends before they all split up to do as they were told. It wasn't long until everyone was suited up and on jet which was hastily taking off. The aircraft was flown steadily through the air, during which time Kurt was starting up the waterworks again just like in Paris.
"Waaaaaah!-Poor Anya! It's all my fault!" He sobbed. Everyone was just as annoyed as they were before but were too concerned with the mission at hand to say anything. The miserable blue mutant just continued crying while holding a photograph of Anya in a sweet pose happily smiling toward the camera. Rogue got creepily confused, "Where did you you even get that photo of Anya?" She asked out loud more to herself than Kurt. He clearly didn't hear her as held the picture close to his once again broken heart as he sniffles and whimpered. "It's not your fault Kurt Domino got us by surprise, no one could have know." Comforted Cyclops. Kurt instantaneously hugged the older boy's neck crying more into the embrace, the other teen couldn't do anything accept awkwardly pat his back comfortingly. "Jeesh Kurt, get a grip." Said Kity, her words were unheard by the distraught mutant boy, which made Jean pinch the bridge of her nose with a sigh. "That's it!" The red headed telepath unbuckled her seat belt and strode over to the weeping whelp. "Kurt." She said. The elf mutant stopped crying and looked toward her, she put a hand to his head and immediately he was out like a light.
Everyone looked to the senior teen in near shock. "It had to be done." She said before tacking her seat again and buckled up. Once the calming quiet was made apparent after a moment Storm spoke but one sentence, "You did the right thing Jean." Nobody else commented but it was clear that they were all thinking the same thing. Rogue looked over to Kurt, then to the photo of Anya, and then back up and around towards her team in confusion. "So... no one else is curious to where Kurt got this picture of Anya from?" She received no answer and it was clear that neither X-Man was at all eager to provide, or could.
The X-Jet continued flying toward the coordinates of Anya's potential signal, they had to rescue her before it was too late.
...
Far away in a secret facility we find Anya in a glass containment unit, with metal floors and flashing buttons. She stirred awake her head spun dizzying her to the point of grogginess. She groaned loudly trying to fight the heaviness of her spinning head. She looked around in confusion as she tried miserablly to make out where she was. The floor was cold and metallic, the light was extremely bright, and the air felt cool even with her fur she was nearly freezing her wings off. She was still wearing the outfit Kitty let her borrow, but she had a strange device around her neck a form of collar that beeped and glowed blue around the outer ring. It Itched a little but otherwise it didn't hurt her, or at least she hoped it wouldn't.
She got up from the ground wobbling and trying to comprehend her situation. Her eyes adjusted through the glass of the containment unit. As she looked around she made out a few other units most of which were empty while at least one or two occupied by one person inside. The bodies inside were unresponsive as Anya called out, "Hello? Are you all alright?" Whoever those people were seemed to be unconsious. 'I have to get out of here.' Thought Anya as she looked around for any mean to escape. There were no doors no windows, just glass and the metal foundation underneath her, as if she were trapped in a upside down turned jar. The red mutant's big yellow eyes widened as she looked up to see the blinking camera staring down at her intently. She was probably being watched by the people who brought her here. She glared at the device hissing in defiance as she stared up at the zoomed in lense.

"Remarkable, wouldn't you say Domino?" He asked as he watched the girl stare down her captors through the camera. "What will you do with her now that you've finally got her?" She asked. "We'll start with some samples of DNA, and a few endurance tests then see what happens from there. Perhaps see just how well she can handle my strongest project." Answered the cryptic scientist. "I estimate that we'll have an hour to get ready for the arrival of our 'guests' all the time I need to extracting what I need, running the test, and drawing the analysis and such." Sinister then got up from his chair and made his way toward the exit of the serveillance room. "Just keep them busy long enough for me to complete my work." He ordered before leaving. Domino then looked back at screen to see the young mutant girl still looking for any kind of escape, knowing that the results would be fruitless.

Sinister walked into a nearby lab filled with computers, glass beakers and even a table meant for a subject. He began turning on all of the equipment soon he would begin the tests and if Anya proved to be an adequate subject then he would size her up against his latest and most successful creation. As he typed away at the computer a continuous beep sounded from the screen. It seems there was an "unknown" aircraft in their midst. He didn't have much time, the doctor hastily gathered the materials necessary to extract Anya's DNA so that the experiment could begin. He then headed out of the room to the containment area.

Once the jet landed the X-Men got off and stayed well out of sight there were security bots and cameras everywhere, one wrong move and they could end up with a nasty fight that would alert the inhabitants. They Wolverine, Storm, and Beast came up with a plan to get in by stealthily taking out the cameras and bots. Gambit used his power to short circuit the cameras and bots giving everyone else the chance to sneak in. Wolverine then gave them the rest of the plan, "Alright everyone split up into groups: Kurt you and Kitty find Anya, the radar is already fixed on her location so just follow it. Red you and Storm stay with Hank on stand by in the jet just in case. Rogue and Le Beau, you two go with Shadowcat and the elf as back up Summers and I will see if we can find out what Sinister is up to. Just let us know if you've found Anya and we'll tell you if we find another way out, they'll likely have the entrance blocked once they figure out we've been through here. Any questions?" Said the gruff mutant.
"What if you haven't found an exit?" Asked Gambit. "Then we all keep looking for one or we make one." Answered Wolverine as he brought his claws out menacingly. "Remember to let us know if you find Anya and be careful, don't engage in combat unless it's absolutely necessary." Implored Storm. Everyone nodded and split up to thier assigned tasks.

The group of four with Kurt, Kitty, Rogue, and Gambit followed the blinking dot on the radar toward the east end of the fortress, Gambit leading the way. The dots that were moving [which were] them were still a little ways off from Anya's location, they needed to find a spot close enough for Kitty to Phase them through. "Just a little closer." Said Gambit. Everyone continued on when Kurt said, "Hey Shadowcat?" The girl answered, "Yeah Kurt?" She answered in a quiet tone to match his. "What do you think Sinister wants with Anya?" He asked. "I don't know, but I'm sure he just wants to like experiment on her or something." Kitty's answer did nothing to help ease the blue mutant's worry. Upon noticing this Rogue reassured him, "Don't worry Kurt we'll get her out of here before he ever gets the chance." She said. Kurt smiled a bit hoping that his teammate was right. "Here we go!" Said the Cajun as he stopped at a random wall.
"Alright Shadowcat phase us straight on through." He said. Kitty nodded and took hold of Rogue's and Kurt's hand while Gambit took hold of Rogue' other hand and immediately Phased them through. Kurt hoped that Anya was alright and that they'd find her in accordance to the radar. The group was phased through several different walls leading to different levels and halls until finally they were at the last one where on the radar, it said Anya was on the other side. The team braced themselves for whatever was too come before they all simultaneously stepped through. They found it! The found Anya's containment unit...however Anya was not inside, just her tracker which was beeping continuously.
"But-Where's Anya?" Asked Kurt. "She's not here." Said a sudden voice from nowhere. Just as suddenly tiny metal balls started ricocheting on and off the walls nearly hitting the four X-Men as they all ducked in cover. There wasn't anywhere for them to hide so they kept their heads covered with their hands. Gambit glanced toward his right seeing where the assailant was, Domino was on rafters waiting to make another shot. Gambit brought out his retractable metal staff and began swinging it in a continuous fan motion over his head blocking himself from the metal balls. He then channeled his kenetic energy into the staff, which transferred into the metal balls and to any thing they bounced off of, in this case the ceiling.
As the little explosive spheres hit the rafter of the ceiling they began to explode and erupt all the way toward Domino knocking her off balance and onto the ground. Pretty soon the entire ceiling began to cave in. Rogue then called out, "Kitty!" The younger girl immediately pulled everyone to her as the metal fell to the ground around them. Thankfully kitty phased herself along with her friends through the debris. Once the smoke had cleared The group got up and looked around. "Is everyone alright?" Asked Rogue. Everyone seemed to be just fine the containment cells also protected the other mutants inside of them. Kitty phased through the glass and brought out every captive, "Kurt go with Rogue and find Anya we'll get these people to safety." Said Gambit. "Okay, we'll be back." Answered the furry teleporter. Kitty and Gambit turned and led the rescued mutant's from the fray while Kurt and Rogue continued on passing an uncontious Domino under all the metal panels and wiring that shot bits of static and steamed with smoke. The cautious goth removed her glove as she got closer to the mutant assailant. She took off one of her gloves and made skin contact with the spotted gunwoman, in an instant flashes of the woman's memories flooded Rogue's mind leaving her momentarily weakend, she eventually steadied herself and told Kurt were they needed to go.
"Let's get out of here." Said Rogue. Kurt teleported them away from the area and out into the hall where they were before and fled toward their true destination to find Anya.
...
Meanwhile Logan and Scott were striding through the maze of chrome and metal looking for any kind of lab or something that would tell them what Sinister was planing. Whatever it was it couldn't be good if they needed a mutant test subject to execute it. "Wolverine come in!" Said a Cajun voice from the communicator. "What's up Gambit?" He asked. "Shadowcat and I are back at the jet we found some other mutants in the containment area but there was no sign of Anya, Rogue just told me where she a Kurt are heading to we got ambushed, but we got out and Rogue got some info of one of Sinister's goons of where to find Anya." Said Gambit. "Alright once you get those mutants onto the jet see if any of them have any information about what Sinister plans to do." Said the feral leader earning a "You've got it." From the recipient. After hanging up the communicator Cyclops said, "Logan look at this." The older man followed suit and found what the youth was referring to. Logan's eyes widened as he took in the sight of a large metal door that said "Lab" on the label.
The two looked to each other knowing that they were finally going to get some answers.

Rogue and Kurt were almost there they were so close to their destination. Soon they would be able to free Anya from this prison and bring back to the mansion safely. "This is it!" Said Rogue. They looked through the glass looking vigorously around the seemingly vacant white room. Finally Kurt spotted her, he'd found Anya! "There she is!" He cheered. "Anya!" He called out. The red furred mutant girl looked back upon hearing her name. Her eyes lit up when she saw the two. She started banging on the glass with urgency as she mouthed something but it couldn't be heard, this prompting Kurt to say, "We have to get her out of there Rogue!" The double haired girl looked around for the control panel, in Domino's memory she knew the code to get in. Once she had found it dhe immediately started putting in the code. Kurt waisted no time waiting and teleported inside.
"Kurt!" Cried Anya as she ran toward her fuzzy blue savior. Kurt just accepted the hug happily as grinned stupidly to himself. Soon after Rogue got the door open with and said, "Let's get out of here!" She said. Anya then said, "Wait there is another mutant here somewhere!" The two looked confused. "What do you mean?" Asked Kurt. "The doctor who took samples of my fur, he said something into his recorder about another subject. I think that means that there is someone else here somewhere." The two rescuers looked to each other with a similar thought. "Alright, but let's patch the others in on what's going on first." Said the elder female. "Let's find Logan and Scott first maybe they've found something out about where the other mutant might be." Suggested Kurt. "Okay." Said the two girls. The three then raced out of the containment hold and off toward the targets on their radar.

Logan and Scott were inside a fairly large and almost haunting looking lab. It was full of metal robotic arms that descended from the ceiling and were likely automated for use. There were examination tables and painful looking tools basically on display. Scott felt his stomach turn a bit at the sight he could only imagine what that mad man Sinister does to his captives when he has them hooked up to these things. Logan sniffed around and looked through files until he found two very peculiar ones, "Hey Cyclops!" He called gesturing toward the files. The senior teen walked over to look and what he saw made his eyes widen behind his visor, his frowned became stronger when he looked into the files, one file said Subject: 6108A inside there were various pictures of Anya as expected since Sinister was after her, but the second file brought a horrored from his throat, it said Subject: 6208B the picture were of their beloved blue elf; Kurt was being studied by Sinister as well.

Sorry to leave you with such a cliff hanger but I gotta keep you guys guessing somehow-right? Anyway I hope you guys like the next Chapter. I might break the cycle a bit and post the next one tommorow, we'll see I kinda started writing this a little late and had to finish it today, but don't worry I'll see what I can do, thanks for reading and I may see you tommorow or [literally] next year!
