Author's note: This chapter will be shifting from present to past as the girls tell what's been going on. Hopefully it doesn't get too confusing.

Truths Revealed part 1
~The Next Day~
The following morning Rin dreaded waking up and getting dressed for school. That her aunt Sayuri hadn't taken the news of two of her nieces being mated and would be living outside of her protection well would be an understatement. Those few seconds that she had lost control of her reiki had Rin struggling to contain hers. The rest of the evening was spent in silence as everyone seemed to walk on eggshells around her as she made an effort to keep her reiki under command. It also didn't help that she couldn't get in contact with either Kagome or Kikyo, thus making her worry that something was wrong. This resulted in her not having a good night's rest and gave consciousness to a premonition come morning. So, with this hanging over her head, Rin met Sango and Miroku at the bottom of the shrine steps in a foul mood.
The walk to school was done in silence. Neither Miroku nor Sango could think of anything to rid Rin of the heavy air surrounding her, and something told them that getting on Rin's bad side was extremely perilous. 'Hopefully,' Sango thought. 'Seeing her sisters will cheer her up.' Upon reaching the gated doors of the school, they were instantly greeted by the eyes of the student body.
Bristling at the sudden, unwanted attention, Rin scowled and nearly growled. For just one instant, Miroku and Sango swore that her eyes flashed blue.
Resisting stomping to the shoe lockers, Rin slowly exhaled her frustration out and scanned the room for at least one of her siblings. Seeing neither, Rin turned toward Sango and Miroku to find that they were mentioning her over. Curious, Rin walked to them which lead to her following them to the back of the school where most of the clubs are stationed.
Once they stopped Rin couldn't help but ask, "Why are we here?"
"If either Naraku or Inuyasha come to school they'll must likely be dropped off here," Miroku answered. Beaming at this news, Rin offered him a smile and began looking around the courtyard in excitement. Off to the side, Sango and Miroku released a sigh as almost all of Rin's foreboding aura disappeared.
Precisely two minutes into waiting, Rin was pushed forward as she got tackled into a hug from behind.
"Rinnie! I'm so happy to see you!" a high pitched voice squealed in her ear. Wincing, Rin turned slightly and gazed into startling grey eyes. Seeing the pure joy in Kagome's eyes, Rin couldn't help the small smile that came to her lips. Stepping backwards, Rin forced Kagome to let go before turning around to face her.
After studying her expression carefully, Rin found that while she did seem happy, she was tired. She was just about to say something when a person moving towards them caught her attention in the corner of her eye. Turning to face her completely, Rin's smile split her face as she gazed at Kikyo with warmth. With a glance to her side, Kikyo offered her escort a nod before separating from him. Once she reached her sisters she offered them a soft smile before mentioning for them to follow her.
Rin and Kagome looked at her in confusion before shrugging and going after her, leaving Sango and Miroku behind staring at them with baffled amusement. After following Kikyo for a minute, Kagome and Rin found themselves standing in front of a water fountain. Gazing around, Rin found that although there were students milling around there weren't as many as in the front courtyard and the clubs area. Rin watched as Kikyo took a seat in front of the water fountain, and, taking Kikyo's example, Kagome sat down too. Shrugging, Rin sat down as well.
Once all were seated, Kikyo put up a barrier. Being familiar with both her sisters barriers and their purposes, Rin knew that this type was to keep noise in but they could still hear what's going on outside the barrier. Leaning forward, Rin studied her sisters for any sign of them breaking and telling her what happened yesterday. Seeing none, Rin sighed and asked the dreaded question, "What happened after you left school yesterday?"
Kagome and Kikyo shared a look before simultaneously seeming to come to an agreement. Kagome leaned back on her hands and began recounting her tail. "After the fight of dominance, Inuyasha had us driven to a mall park.
"Oi! Wench! You alright in there?" Inuyasha bellowed as he stood beside a black Lexus is250 along with his driver.
"I already told you," Kagome said exasperated. "My name is Kagome. Ka-Go-Me. Not wench, onna, or anything else in between."
…
"You have no idea how annoying it is to be called anything but your name for an entire hour. I swear if I could've I would have made him eat dirt."
Giggling, behind her hand Rin asked, "Well, you could, you just need to make some beads of subjugation."
"I know...it's just...degrading picturing him lying flat on my feet...even if he does deserve it."
Rin and Kikyo offered nonjudgmental hums and Kagome continued her story.
...
"I'll call you whatever the hell I want!" declared Inuyasha. "Now, are you done or do I need to go in there?"
"I'll get out when I want!" Kagome exclaimed. "Besides it's your fault my clothes aren't wearable!"
"I bought you new ones!"
"Not excusable!"
Growling under his breath, Inuyasha muttered, "Why I outta-"
"Outta what?" Kagome asked as she pushed open the car door—and if it wasn't for Inuyasha's quick reflexes, his nose would've been smashed by the suddenness of her opening the door. "Well are you gonna answer me?"
Huffing, Inuyasha shoved his hands into his pocket and grumbled a "forget about it," as he walked towards the mall's entrance.
…
"So we spent about an hour in the mall, where he bought a whole bunch of clothes that I didn't need," Kagome stated as she leaned back on her hands and gazed up at the sky with a dazed expression. "Afterward, Inuyasha had us driven to a ramen stand where he gave me a rundown of what to expect from his family."
"Ramen?" Kikyo said with amused inquisitiveness.
"The guy is obsessed with the stuff," Kagome huffed. "I watched him eat like twenty bowls and he still had room for more when we got to his place."
"Well," Rin injected. "At least you know you caught yourself a real man there."
"Oh hush."
…
After being greeted by his parents, Inuyasha grudge guided her through the foyer and to a grand hallway that lead towards a formal dining room. Upon entering the room Kagome was greeted by a gathering of a dozen youkai, all formally dressed in traditional kimonos.
"Inuyasha," the oldest called.
"What do you want Jiji?" Inuyasha asked in an almost respectful voice, as his shoulders relaxed and his eyes lost their harshness.
"I wanted to see if the rumors were true," his grandfather replied.
"Well they are!" Inuyasha exclaimed with a bashful smirk. "Kagome this is Jiji, Jiji this is Kagome."
Sighing, his grandfather shook his head and said, "Rude as the day you were born. I am Kyoukaishei, and from left to right, these are Yumi," she's the bob-cut silver haired, green eyed one. "Kazuo," he has blonde hair, and if it wasn't for the faint outline of his pupils and iris, his eyes would blend in to the sclera. "Arashi," he's the only one in the room that doesn't have pale hair, for his is a midnight black that bring his striking golden eyes out more. "Mitsuki," she has shoulder length white hair with the golden eyes of Inuyasha and his father. "Mamoru," he's almost identical to Mitsuki, it's creepy. "Umi," she has whitish blonde hair and emerald coloured eyes. "Akihiro," he's the one with the buzz cut and gray eyes. "Hidetoshi," he has the family characteristics of whitish-silver hair and golden eyes. "Hanako," white haired, blue eyed. "Chiharu," white haired with hazel coloured eyes. "And Haruki," he has white hair and startling, clear blue eyes.
With her head swimming with all those names, Kagome could only bow and say, "nice to meet you." With nothing else to say or do, Kagome watched as Inuyasha was given a thorough talk down by his grandfather and relatives. Watching the proceeding with wide eyes, she was startled when the white haired, blue eyed inugami grasped her arm and steered her out of the room.
…
"After that Hanako gave me a quick tour of the mansion before guiding me to the upstairs portion of the house and showing me to my room. Thankfully, I'm not sharing with Inuyasha yet, so I was able to sleep in peace...even after he barged in an hour or so after I fallen asleep."
With nothing to say to that, Kikyo and Rin remained silent as they digested what was said. And it was at that moment that the warning bell rang, and the girls went their separate ways with a promise to meet up again at lunch to finish up.
