I am the most unreliable poster ever. Instead of false promises, I am just going to post this short scene. But yet again, I appreciate the support. -Hotmess
Some demons had a keen sense of smell; others had increased sight. Still, some others seemed to keep up on scents. As Aicirret sat up in bed, all of her heightened senses knew Akaya jumped out the window on this rainy night. She quickly darted out of her room and into the hallway, only to be met by the sight of Sesoni waiting for her on a bench. Aicirret silently sat with her uncle on a wooden bench outside her room, Aicirret was well aware Sesoni knew the young Shinobi left as well.
"Aicirret, what do you think made her leave?"
This was either going to be a life lesson or intellectual conversation exchanged here, and Aicirret had eliminated the latter from consideration. Sesoni had always taught her to have a leveled sense of awareness and understanding. That, apparently, was her talent as a demon.
"She's obviously upset. Akaya hasn't gotten a complete hold on her emotions, and I can tell that she figured out something that has sent her into a mental frenzy. She'll probably get stopped by Tajek, who I saw walk outside an hour ago just like he logically explained at dinner. Their collective actions make up for what they each lack. Supposedly, that's a component in , that's my understanding of it anyways."
She paused, noticing the rain becoming heavier as the seconds passed. Aicirret sighed as she couldn't fathom why Akaya chose this night to try to leave. Observing her surroundings was what a demon did, but she wondered if half-demons could truly do the same. Or even if Akaya was the half-demon to base all of her interactions with them on. "They will also end up in the same bed without sexual contact, showing they have a connection that is more than just skin-deep. Also, Akaya was headed towards Konoha. Am I right or I am off somehow?"
Sesoni gave his young niece a prideful grin. Aicirret was growing into a fine demon as he had hoped. "Spot on. Understanding is always the first step to gaining an upper hand in any situation."
He stood up and gazed at the falling raindrops hitting the window. "But keep in mind that not everyone thinks like a demon. Humans are illogical, erratic, and mysterious at times. Emotions do that sometimes; it can even affect demons to a point."
Sesoni turned and walked towards his quarters, leaving without a goodbye.
Sitting on the bench, Aicirret knew her uncle was right. She was gaining the upper hand on her uncle and Shin Ryu. Even so, she considered this encounter yet another one of Sesoni's poorly-delivered life lessons.
