Sherlock turned as he heard a growl, expecting a golden wolf to walk out of the shadows. The demon used this distraction and pushed the Hunter away, causing Sherlock to collide with the bronze wolf jumping towards the demon. The demon laughed and ran for the door, turning away from the Hunter trying to deal with the wolf. The bronze wolf stepped off Sherlock's chest and ran after the demon, pinning it down just before it got to the door.
Sherlock nodded to the wolf as he stabbed the demon through the heart, a silver knife slipping out of his sleeve. The wolf backed away slightly, trying to meet Sherlock's mercury eyes with it's own, making Sherlock pause.
Sherlock dropped the knife in a moment of realisation, noticing the swirl in the pale blue eyes of the wolf, instantly recognisable to anyone who knew her.
"Sophia?" he asked and the bronze wolf nodded, walking over to him and sitting by the knife on the floor. Sherlock recovered and looked to the demon on the floor.
"Let's deal with this thing, then we have to talk" he told her and the wolf nodded.
Sherlock sat in his armchair waiting for the teen on John's chair to break the silence, she just looked into the coffee in her hands.
"How long?" he asked.
"Two months, including tonight I've turned four times. I can control it most of the time" Sophia answered.
"The nightmares make you slip? The two extra times?" the Hunter asked and she nodded. A tear dropped into her coffee and she looked up to Sherlock.
"Just don't tell John please, he doesn't need to know" Sophia pleaded and Sherlock frowned, but nodded. They both looked to the doorway as they heard the key in the front door.
"I wonder if they're back yet" Eve said as she pushed open the door.
"They are" John told her as he walked into the room, looking at the two sitting in the flat. "And they've been here for a while"
Sherlock said nothing, casually brushing few strands of Sophia's fur from his sleeve as he looked to John.
