Chapter 20

Thump-thump. thump-thump. The space was silent, but the loud strumming of my over-beating heart. I couldn't stop my heart from racing, I lowered my head so my eyes couldn't meet with him. He stood there for a long moment before he started to take a step forward.

"Wait, st...stop.." I stutter, and his foot comes back down. I am now panting from this indescribable pain I feel in my heart. "You... we... can't..."

"Can't what?" Sora finally manages. I hold onto my chest trying to stop my pounding heart from bursting out of my chest. "I thought we were passed this... the last fourteen times this happened."

"You know... knew how I felt about this moment, I've told you before Sora..." I finally manage a full sentenced. "I just didn't know how much this would actually hurt me... how selfish I've become."

"Being selfish for following me? For following you dream? Destiny? There is nothing wrong with the way we feel about each other." He took another step forward.

"What about Kairi?!" I snapped, my head whipping up and tears streaming out, and my hand still clutched to my chest. "You love her. This was never suppose to happen Sora, we were never suppose to fall in love, you were always meant to be with her, because she is your destiny, your journey."

"You're wrong." He snapped back, a scowl across his face. He was angry... "Kairi, is my..." He held his chest. "My friend, and I care deeply about my friends, and knowing that she is safe, gives me a strength, but you... you have always been my destiny. There is a pain in my chest when you're not around, I feel lost without you." He blinked and a tear rolled down his cheek.

"Sora..." I say standing on my feet out of shock. I slowly crossed the space to stand in front of him. He opened his eyes and smiled at me. My hand slowly came up and wiped away his tear.

"This... here... you leaving... that's selfish. This is your reality, you and me..." He moved in closer filling the space between us, I couldn't stop him, I couldn't tell him no... not anymore. Our lips brushed up against each other and I felt electricity pump through my body.

We were alone. It's not like we have been alone before, because there was always someone lurking around. This was it, just the two of us, here and now, and I couldn't stop my emotions from flooding through. Our lips pressed together, and our bodies can't stop. He parted for a second to catch a breath, and his lips quickly finding mine. I can feel his lips part and his tongue pleading for entry. Slowly I open up and our tongues touch for a second and I feel a passion through my body.

He moved his tongue again, rolling around with mine, and I like it. I truly like this feeling, that I don't want it to stop. Without realizing it, I was pulling off his jacket, and he was shrugging my off my shoulders. My hand got stuck, and we fall forward, but our mouths never parting. I feel my straps falling down, and without thinking a moan slips passed my lips. My body heats up, how embarrassing... but it seemed to turn Sora on more.

I let go and stare at Sora for a second and he leans in again our bodies are heating up quickly and I can't control my hands. I started to reach for his pants, and I can feel Sora grow. I blushed and pushed him off for a second and he looked down, and blushed pushing up and away for a second. "Sorry... I..." He manages readjusting the button and zipped on his pants and pulling his shirt back down.

I reach over and stop him from pulling it down, and help him pull it off. He sat there staring at me, the air was hot, and I was panting. I slowly lift my arms up, and Sora helps me with mine. My bra strap falls off one of my shoulders and I see Sora twitch. He turns his head and I pull him back our lips meeting once again, and now I can't stop myself with him.

I lay next to a sweaty Sora, a blanket covering our naked bodies, my hand placed on his chest feeling his heart beat out of control. "Did we..." I managed and he turned his head to look at me and smiled. He kissed my forehead, and he pulled me close. I can hear his heart, it was relaxing. "Hey Sora..." I twiddle my finger around his necklace. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be. There is nothing for you to apologize for." I feel a smile creep across my face and nuzzle him. "Hey lets get some rest, we can head back and finish thing once and for all, so we can be together." I couldn't form words I just nodded.

I couldn't sleep, my mind was racing. I know how Sora feels about me. thirty or so minutes passed and I hear him lightly snoring. He rolls over and I lay my head against his back. I love you so much, and now I know what I want... you're not going to be happy about this... I know now what I have to do, I have to set somethings right. I waited another thirty minutes and he is snoring louder. I go to gather my clothes and hurriedly put them back on.

I looked down at Sora, and he has a smile planted across his face. I smile and a tear rolls down my cheek. For now, you'll understand in the future. I walk back to him and lean down to kiss his forehead. I leave the gummi quietly, and rush to Master Yen Sid. He looks at me and smiles.

"I've been expecting you, Amara." He says coolly. "You've discovered your path." I nodded at him and he waves his hand forward.

"I have to set somethings right, I have to go back." I say with confidence.

"If you choose to follow this path now, there won't be a portal back here until Sora finishes what he needs to do." I felt my heart skip a beat.

"But that means..."

"We have to make these hard choices sometimes Amara, but know this, these things need to happen in order to find your's and Sora's happiness. I know I've asked a lot from you, and this isn't the first time you've had to make such a hard decision before, but moving forward. Things will be a lot easier on you, and him." His eyes dart down then back up.

I stood up straight, and I know my eyes are filled with tears, but I ignore them. "Master, if you could... If Sora comes by..."

"I'll explain to him, what needs to be explain." I felt a relieve on my heart. He waves his hand forward and exposes a keyhole. "The path is almost open, you can unlock this keyhole, but it only works with your keyblade. Once this path is open, you cannot close it until you have returned here, but that means only you the keyblade wielder of love and destiny can go through this path. This does not mean that future paths may be not be formed, it simply means, this is where your journey goes." I nodded and flicked my wrist up my keyblade manifesting. A beam of light shoots out of the tip of my keyblade and in the keyhole.

The path was opened and I step through, my journey isn't over, but this was just one step closer.
