The following story contains Vampire!Professor Layton (Created by Zillabean over on dA) who fit perfectly into the world. Also, side warning as Spoilers for Professor Layton 6.

Though she lived with vampires, Flora was still a teenager, so often met Eve and Sophia to go shopping in London. Flora was completely unaware of the changes that her friends had gone through in the past few months since they last met, so this was just an ordinary shopping trip.

Until a group of werewolves tried to take the group of friends that is.

Well, they actually succeeded in drugging the three teens, which meant they awoke in the decaying store an hour later.

"Oh for goodness sake! Can I not have one shopping trip in peace?!" Sophia complained as she woke.

"Obviously not Soph" Eve grumbled, rolling her eyes as she started to untie the knot keeping her on the chair. Sophia followed Eve's example, glancing over to Flora when she realised the teen hadn't spoken.

"Flora?" Sophia questioned, spotting the still unconscious teen across the room. Eve finished untying the knot and the ropes fell to the floor around her feet. She stepped out of them and approached Flora, searching for her pulse. Once she found a weak one, Eve pulled the ropes away, catching Flora's unconscious form as she pitched forward.

"Eve, we're going to have company in a minute, let's get out of here" Sophia stated, appearing by Eve. Sophia was just about to lift Flora when the door swung open, revealing the group of large men that had taken them.

"Well you got out of there fast" the leader announced, to which Sophia smirked.

"Who was your target here?" Eve questioned, shifting into a defensive stance in front of Flora when the men moved forward.

"The one you're protecting, you were just supposed to be collateral, possibly leverage. Then we realised who you really were Eve, one of Baker Street's many odd occupants who has a higher value on your head than your friend you're so eager to protect" The head wolf explained, smirking as Eve raised an eyebrow.

"Then you'll know you've just put yourself in a bigger hole, because now you won't have only two vampire brothers to deal with" Sophia pointed out, pulling her coat around her tighter as she searched for the weapons in the seams.

"Oh, we know about that. We can't wait to go up against another Alpha wolf, it's been so long since I killed my last one" at that Sophia launched herself forward, the sword piercing the speaker's heart before he had a chance to continue.

Everyone stared for a moment, watching Sophia pull her sword out of the lifeless corpse at her feet.

"Who's next?"

Eve had moved in the blink of an eye to rip the head off one of the men charging toward Sophia while she was slicing another in two. Sophia tossed Eve a gun that had bee hidden in her coat whilst the one on her wrist slipped out and shot the man about to knock Eve off her feet.

This pattern continued for the next ten minutes as more and more werewolves emerged from the doorway, leaving no time for Eve and Sophia to notice Flora briefly open her eyes and see her friends' true natures.

By the time the last wolf dropped, though some had run off at the sight of the fighting pair, Flora had slipped back into unconsciousness. Eve grabbed the stuff out of the back of the van the wolves had parked at the back door, phoning Lestrade to tell him that Sherlock's case was solved an the proof was in the abandoned store.

Once Eve snapped her phone shut and grabbed everyone's shopping bags out of the van, along with the empty syringes that had been left in a box next to them, she was met by Sophia carrying the still unconscious Flora. They nodded to each other before heading back to Baker Street.

They were met with a grumpy Sherlock as they opened the door. The expression on Sherlock's face only darkened when he realised that Sophia was carrying Flora.

"You realise who'll follow her, don't you?" Sherlock's question seemed to be more of a statement, which got a nod from Sophia.

"We couldn't just leave her at the crime scene Sherlock, we have to find out what they drugged her with and why it won't wear off" Eve countered. Sherlock nodded slightly to concede the point as he let them pass, following into their flat as Eve dropped the shopping bags and took the syringes to her room to analyse.

Sherlock took one of the syringes from Eve and headed upstairs so he could analyse it himself, leaving Sophia to keep an eye on Flora, who she had carefully placed on the sofa, and wait for the two vampires to turn up.

timeskip a few hours

Sophia jumped at the knock on the door, running out of her room midway through messing with one of her hidden weapons to answer the door. She quickly used said weapon do deflect the sword aimed for her throat, quickly using her free hand to twist the sword out of the attacker's hand. She looked up to her attacker, blinking for a few moments just as she could imagine him doing behind the mask.

"You two took your time. Flora is still out cold on the sofa, we're trying to work out what they drugged her with so we can reverse it. In the meantime can you try not to kill me?" Sophia explained. Professor Layton walked past her to approach Flora, but the second vampire didn't move.

"My best student" he simply stated, to which Sophia smirked.

"Yes Descole, the only one fast enough to truly be of any test to you" Sophia told him, walking further into the flat. She closed the door behind him before handing his sword back.

"No killing me" Sophia warned, to which Descole nodded. He moved toward the sofa to join his brother while Sophia stuck her head around Eve's door.

"Any ideas?" she asked, to which Eve nodded and handed her a notepad. Sophia scanned the page of scribbles quickly, finding what she was looking for at the very bottom.

"That's just nasty. Have you got anything to counter it?"

"Nope, but I'm going to go steal some chemicals from Sherlock to make a batch of something up. I'll leave you to keep the professors entertained while I finish up" Eve answered, nodding to Sophia as she walked past. Sophia sighed, listening to Eve climb the stairs and the conversation she started with Sherlock before she was pulled out of her thoughts by mutterings between the two brothers standing by the sofa.

"Do you trust these people? Shouldn't we get Flora back before the sun rises, then we can take care of her?" Descole questioned, but Layton shook his head.

"They're working on a way to help her, so we stay here. As for judging trust, you seem to know them better than I do" Layton replied, nodding slightly to Sophia leaning against Eve's door.

Sophia chose that moment to shake her head and return to her room, leaving the door open to keep an eye on the vampires, but putting most of her focus into the weapon on her wrist.

After a twenty minutes of the uneasy silence, broken occasionally by Sophia as gears moved when she tinkered, Descole left his brother and stood in the doorway to Sophia's room to closer inspect her work.

"You're observing, I'll just finish with this and I'll leave if the noise is annoying you, I have to go and talk to a friend anyway" Sophia mumbled, but the vampire heard and chuckled.

"I'm simply curious as to why a wolf would spend her time making weapons like the one on your wrist and learning how wield a blade when she has the ability to turn whenever she wants"

"I can't just change every time I get into a fight, it hurts to change forms. Besides, its good to know how to fight without claws, something I'm continuing from my human years" Sophia explained as an answer to his attempt at a question. Sophia dropped her tools with a grin, flicking her wrist back to push the blades out to their full length.

"Much better, though I wouldn't have had to fix it had the idiots not broken it in the first place" she grumbled the latter part. Everyone looked up sharply at the sound of feet thudding down the stairs, accompanied by the sloshing of liquid.

Eve burst into the room a moment later with a conical flask in hand, full of an orange liquid. Layton eyed the flask dubiously as Eve filled a syringe with the liquid and moved toward Flora.

"This should counteract some of the effects of the awful stuff. It's far from a full antidote, but it will stop it killing her before I get one made" Eve explained before injecting Flora with the liquid.

"It may mean she regains consciousness too" Eve added before she headed upstairs once again. Sophia nodded and retracted the blades of her weapon before grabbing her phone.

"I'll call my friend in America, see if she has a way to sort your little sun issue" Sophia said before pushing Descole out of the doorframe, allowing her to close the door on the soundproof room.

"Now to phone Sarah and hope she can help" she muttered as she put the phone to her ear. It was answered almost instantly despite the time difference and Sophia quickly explained everything, after which Sarah appeared beside Sophia.

"So you want daylight talismans so they can wear them without being obvious, specifically tailored to them?" Sarah questioned for clarification. Sophia nodded and Sarah rubbed her hands together like a mad scientist would.

"I do love a challenge"

Another timeskip

By the time the talismans were finished and Sophia emerged from her room, Flora was sitting up awake on the sofa chatting to Layton and Descole about what she'd seen. When Flora caught sight of Sophia she panicked, shuffling closer to Layton.

"You're a werewolf" It wasn't a question, it was a statement. Sophia nodded to confirm Flora's comment, making the teen move even closer to Layton.

"I understand that you won't be nervous around Eve, but nervous around me because I'm the opposite, but you're my friend Flora. I won't hurt you, I promise" Sophia told the teen as she approached. Flora considered this for a moment and nodded, but didn't move far from the Professor.

"These are for you two, so you can walk around during the day" Sophia said, handing the two vampires the talismans. The brothers took the offered talismans, looking them over.

Both were similar, but different, unique to each brother. Layton's was a sword, the hilt of which appeared to be his beloved hat whilst Descole's was the antique sword with a mask for a hilt. Both were covered in symbols that would allow them to work like daylight rings.

Sophia looked away from the vampires' responses to start a conversation with Flora.

"How did you know I was a wolf? I never mentioned it and, even if you did see a bit of the fight, I wasn't turned" Sophia asked, to which Flora released a small giggle.

"Something you said while you were fighting. You said 'No-one threatens my Alpha' which made the puzzle rather easy to solve" Flora replied, to which Sophia smiled.

"You'll be able to go home and solve more puzzles once you've had some of this" Eve announced as she walked through the door. Sophia his her smile as Eve approached, offering the beaker out to Flora. Flora looked to Layton, who nodded, so the teen drank the contents of the beaker and handed the empty beaker back with a grimace.

"Yeah, sorry if it doesn't taste the best, but it will mean you can go home. If you still feel ill you can come back tomorrow and I'll sort it" Eve apologised, nodding to Sherlock as he appeared in the doorway. Taking their chance, Descole and Layton got to their feet and headed for the door with Flora on tow, leaving Sherlock to complain at Eve and Sophia for messing with his case.
