Sophia pulled Charlotte into the black car with her as it pulled up outside 221B.

"What the?" Charlotte questioned as the door closed behind her. Sophia just held out her phone to show the vampire.

Bring the vampire with you, we need to talk
-MH

"Okay...why would Mycroft want to talk to me?" Charlotte questioned, leaning back in her seat.

"I guess we'll find out" Sophia muttered. She turned to the window with a smirk, she could guess, but they would have to find out.

Sophia tapped her foot impatiently as she waited for Mycroft to show his face. Charlotte kept scanning the shadows, elbowing Sophia when she caught sight of a figure.

"Enough with the dramatics Mycroft" Sophia demanded, at which Mycroft stepped out of the shadows. Charlotte paused, looking the man over.

"Oh, I forgot, you haven't met him before. Charlotte, this is Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock's older brother" Sophia explained quickly, seeing Charlotte's frown.

"I'd guessed that much Soph, that's not what's confusing me. Just listen" Sophia did as Charlotte said, ignoring the look she was getting from Mycroft.

"I'll save you the bother Sophia, it's another heartbeat. One that your friend thinks shouldn't be there" Mycroft snapped.

"I knew it!" Charlotte exclaimed. Now it was Sophia's turn to frown.

"You've got to be kidding be, you've never noticed the extra heartbeat whenever Mycroft's around?" Charlotte questioned, looking to Sophia just as the werewolf shook her head.

"She never really payed any attention to it, the last time I dropped by Baker Street was when Mary confirmed that she was pregnant, so Sophia's thoughts were a little sidetracked" Mycroft told the vampire. Charlotte shrugged at that, causing Sophia's eyebrow to rise as she turned to Mycroft, snapping out of her thoughts.

"Wait a minute, you have a heartbeat. That means you aren't a true vampire as you claimed, you aren't a half vampire though, your heart is beating too fast for that. It's almost as fast as a wolf's..." Sophia tailed off as the pieces slotted into place in her mind, as which point the werewolf turned to Charlotte.

"Is that even possible? I mean, it is on the show, but could it be possible?"

"Yes" Mycroft answered for Charlotte. Charlotte grinned like a shark, pointing to Mycroft.

"I knew it! I knew there had to be something different about you!" she exclaimed. Mycroft's irritated sigh was only just audible to the vampire and werewolf, but it was soon drowned out by Sophia's pacing and her muttering to herself.

"Of course, it makes sense. Half-vampires are hard to come by because they're so hard to create, which means he must have only been turned by a half-vampire. Sherlock has definitely killed before, which would have started up the werewolf gene if he had it and turned him into a hybrid too, which means the gene was passed on, but was recessive, so not able to actually turn him.." Sophia tailed off as everything finished slotting into place. Silence reigned for a few moments, only to be broken by Mycroft.

"No, Sherlock doesn't know about that side of my nature, though I'm sure he suspects it. Like you, Sophia, he questions the possibility of a creature's existence"

"I can't ignore what's staring me on the face" Sophia pointed out.

"Now that this is all sorted and we're all on the same page, could you explain why you want us here Mycroft? The new episode of Doctor Who is on soon and I'd like to see it" Charlotte demanded, to which Mycroft nodded.

"I need your help" he told them. Sophia and Charlotte gawped at the elder Holmes, then looked to each other and nodded, just to make sure that they'd both heard it.

"Why on Earth would the British Government need the help of a vampire actress and a werewolf psychic that works with his brother?" Charlotte questioned, crossing her arms across her chest and beginning to glare as Mycroft remained silent.

"As you will be the closest thing to an expert on my kind that exists, you should be able to answer some of my questions" Mycroft answered, to which Charlotte shrugged.

"As for Sophia" Mycroft looked to the werewolf as he began. "I need a wolf to ask about control, which you seemed to master rather quickly and I wasn't about to ask John, he's suspicious enough of me as it is"

"Do you need help controlling the wolf or is it something else?"

"Something else entirely. It concerns creators" Mycroft answered. Sophia groaned while Charlotte rolled her eyes

"Mycroft, if you want our help you're going to have to stop with the cryptic crap answers" Sophia almost snarled, which wasn't entirely surprising considering that the sun was setting and the moon was almost full.

To Charlotte's surprise, Mycroft nodded. He frowned for a moment as he tried to find a way to explain it without giving too much away.

"The vampire that caused this problem is causing trouble, but every time he turns up I end up with black spots, things I can't remember" he explained. Sophia and Charlotte looked to each other as they began to talk.

"Is that what I think it is?" Sophia muttered.

"It would appear so"

"But if it is, he's turned enough to break it surely, he's older than Sherlock"

"It's not as if we could try and break it like that anyway, I don't want to be mentally scarred for the rest of eternity" Charlotte pointed out. Sophia nodded and turned back to Mycroft.

"Have you worked out the cause of the blackouts, or are you unsure of the obvious?"

"I acknowledge the obvious, as much as I would like to ignore it" Mycroft snapped in reply. Sophia nodded to this and started looking through her bag, keeping a wary eye on Mycroft as Charlotte started to edge away from him.

The moment Sophia found what she was looking for she handed the bag over to Charlotte, who was standing behind her at this point, and walked over to Mycroft. Before the hybrid had a chance to question Sophia, the syringe in her hand was in his neck and emptied.

"What the hell was in that?" Mycroft questioned as Sophia pulled away.

"A serum that will stop you turning into a wolf tonight, we need the time to come up with a plan so we don't need you running around killing people when you can't control it. I don't need a case clogging up my thoughts" Sophia answered, returning the syringe to her bag and heading for the door of the warehouse, Charlotte not far behind.

"We have Doctor Who to watch and a plan to formulate. Send the car to pick us up from Baker Street tomorrow afternoon" Sophia shouted over her shoulder before climbing into the black car, leaving Mycroft standing in the warehouse alone.

"Alright, you're not going to like it, but I have a plan" Sophia announced when she found herself facing Mycroft again the next day. Charlotte nodded, but she still looked uneasy.

"What is this plan of yours?" Mycroft questioned. Sophia looked to Charlotte and nodded to each other before stepping forward as one.

"We're going to turn you again" they stated with slightly disturbing grins on their faces. Mycroft stepped back as he noticed their grins.

"You can't seriously think that's going to work. It's not as if I'm a human you can easily change, it takes a lot to create a hybrid as it is, but to redo the entire process is madness" Mycroft told them, but they continued to grin.

"It's simple really, I bite you and kill the vampire half while turning it werewolf, but you have Charlotte's blood in your system so that when you die you come back as half vampire again" Sophia explained. Mycroft raised a critical eyebrow as he ran the plan through in his head. It sounded simple enough and as well thought out as such an odd manner could be, so he gave the pair a quick nod.

In the blink of an eye Sophia had become a bronze wolf. She nodded to Charlotte, who handed Mycroft the vial of vampire blood.

"I don't think this is going to work" Mycroft muttered, but he drank the blood anyway. The moment the vial was empty, Sophia launched herself forward, aiming for Mycroft's throat.

~~~~~
Mycroft snapped his eyes open a full day later, having been transferred to his own home rather than being left on the warehouse floor. He found Sophia holding a bloodbag in his direction as he sat up. Mycroft went to grab it, but Sophia held it back for a moment to offer Mycroft a warning.
"At this point in time you're a werewolf with vampire blood in their system. The moment you drink and complete the transformation it's going to hurt like Hell" Sophia warned as she handed the bloodbag over. Mycroft took it with a nod before draining the bloodbag dry.
As predicted, the pain that spread through Mycroft's body was excruciating. Sophia covered her ears as Mycroft screamed, his two conflicting natures attempting to coexist. He cut off abruptly and fell back onto the sofa, unconscious once again.
Sophia sighed and uncovered her ears, pulling out her phone and texting Charlotte.
He's turning again now, do think we'll need to trigger the wolf?
-SM
She got a reply a few moments later.
I don't think so, but next time we have a disposable criminal we'll make sure he will trigger it, just in case
-CE
Sophia nodded and slipped her phone back in her pocket, drinking her tea to wait for Mycroft to wake up again.
~~~~~~~~~

Mycroft did wake up three hours later, feeling back to normal once again. He sat up to see Sophia shoving her phone into her pocket as she approached.

"Well that worked" was all she said, to which Mycroft nodded and got to his feet.

"I suppose the real test will be when he turns up, which will be at the Diogenes club tomorrow" Mycroft replied. Sophia arched an eyebrow, but smirked all the same.

"You'll have to let me know how that goes then. I have to get back to Baker Street before Charlotte runs out of excuses and Sherlock becomes suspicious, but let me know what happens" Sophia told Mycroft as she grabbed her bag, heading out of the door before Mycroft could reply.

It was late evening before Sophia received a text the next day.

It worked. No manipulation and no blind spots. I owe you two.
-MH

Charlotte grinned as she looked at Sophia's phone, leaning on the back of the werewolf's chair to read the reply.

We shall collect one day. And your secret will stay with us.
-SM

"So I can't even tell Ian?" Charlotte asked with a pout.

"No, but if the creators of that show of yours are looking to mess around with hybrids you may suggest the process as an idea. It remains anonymous" Sophia stated. Sophia's phone beeped as she received a reply.

That would be much appreciated.
-MH

Sophia locked her phone as Eve walked into the flat, covered in blood. Sophia watched Eve disappear into her room, letting out a sigh when she saw the bloody trail Eve had left behind.

"Looks like we're back to normal Lotty, now go grab a bloodbag while I clean up the mess, I don't need to die today" Sophia ordered, seeing the vampire behind her staring at the blood trail. Charlotte shook her head to clear her thoughts and did as Sophia said, returning from the kitchen with a bloodbag in one hand and the cleaning supplies in the other.

Life was going to go back to normal.
