I want to apologize for not placing a warning in the last chapter for what at times was a violent piece.

This takes place a day or two after the chapter Escape Attempt but not told from the POV of Angel, her father or anyone that they have interacted with for a long time.

A piercing scream shattered the dream of Beru Whitesun Lars; causing her to bolt right up from her bed. Her heart pounded in her chest and beside her she knew that her husband was wide awake as well.

Frozen momentarily in fear, they both stayed still until another piercing, terrified scream cut the air again; coming from her nephew Luke's room. Jumping out of bed, she raced to Luke's room and after switching on the light, she saw his small form huddled in the middle of the bed crying and screaming.

"Stop it!" he cried, distressed. "You're hurting her!"

Beru quickly climbed on Luke's bed and carefully wrapped her arms around him. "It's okay Luke; you're safe." She whispered to him as she made the soothing noises she made every time he had a nightmare.

"Auntie, you gotta help her!" He begged tearfully.

"Who?" Beru asked as she rubbed little circles on his little back.

"I don't know but she's scared and hurt. You and Uncle Owen have to help her!" He cried as he clutched the fabric of her nightgown.

Beru frowned slightly as she rocked her shivering nephew and continued to whisper to him that everything would be alright.

Slowly Luke's sobs became hitched before disappearing altogether.

Carefully she laid him back into his bed and took his stuffed toy Bantha, Iggy, from Owen's hands.

"Will you help her?" Luke asked sleepily as he wrapped his thin arms around Iggy.

"We will do what we can for her." Beru assured him gently; knowing that there was little that she and Owen could do for the girl from Luke's dreams unless she was a local child.

In a few minutes, Luke had fallen back into the realm of sleep and carefully Beru pulled away and rearranged his covers.

"That's the third nightmare this month." Owen whispered to her as they headed back to their room.

Beru nodded slowly as she sat down on the bed.

"Should we ask . . . him if nightmares are unusual?" she asked as she got underneath the covers.

She heard Owen hesitate and wondered if he was as hesitant as her to have the Jedi come.

"If the nightmares continue then we will ask him for advice or to just end the nightmares." He answered her.

The next day saw Luke having a screaming fit and begging them to help the girl. Owen had set off to try to get in contact with Obi-Wan while Beru tried to console the frightened child.

"Do you know who the girl is?" she asked him as she rocked him.

"She's my Other." He told her between sobs.

"Your Other?' she asked' confused by his choice of words.

"Yeah, my Other."

Beru tried to think of what Luke meant by 'his Other' and wondered if it had something to do with the mysterious Force or not. A few months ago Luke had befriended Camie Marstrap and she wondered if perhaps something had happened to the Marstrap Family; as far as she knew no one had heard from them in a few weeks.

Tatooine was a dangerous place to live; especially away from the protection of a settlement.

The sound of the speeder approaching caught her attention but since Luke had fallen into an uneasy sleep she wasn't sure if she should call up and see if Owen found Obi-Wan or not.

The man had vanished a couple years ago for about three or four months before reappearing. She sincerely hoped that Obi-Wan hadn't gone on another unexpected trip.

Obi-Wan was the first one into the courtyard with Owen on his heels.

"Owen said that he has been having nightmares." Obi-Wan stated.

Beru nodded.

"He sees a little girl that needs help and he wants us to help her." Beru explained softly.

"Does she have a name?" he asked as he gently touched Luke's face.

Beru hesitated; she didn't understand what Luke meant by calling the girl his 'Other' and if there was any meaning to it. Silently she reminded herself that somehow Anakin had known that his mother was in pain from almost half a galaxy away and had managed to track her down a month after she had been taken; somehow finding her by the Force alone.

"He said she is his 'Other'." Beru informed him calmly; deciding to reveal what little she knew about the situation.

A slight frown crossed Obi-Wan's face but it vanished after a moment.

After a few minutes Obi-Wan sighed and shook his head.

"I can't find what might have been troubling him. However I did strengthen his Shields a bit to keep him from being bothered by random Tremors in the Force." He told her.

'Thank you," she told him.

Five hours later . . .

Obi-Wan sat in his hut watching the suns of Tatooine set and wondered what had upset Luke so much. It had Felt to him that Luke's Force Bond with Leia had opened a bit, allowing him to Feel her pain and emotions. However that couldn't be the case: Leia was dead. It could have been some odd Force Echo or the girl that was in trouble was somehow connected to Luke.

Putting his thoughts aside for meditation he remembered where he had been when Owen had found him: in Anchorhead watching the news from the Core. Some of the news was a few months old and other information was straight from the source.

One clip that was a little old showed some general seeing to the training of troopers in the rain. Following behind the general was a little girl splashing in puddles that had formed in the training area. The little girl had tripped and fallen in a muddy part of the area and looked like she had started to cry. The general, presumably her father turned away from the troops, walked quickly to her side and picked her up; holding her close despite the fact she was covered in mud.

A more recent piece was just some trashy speculation about who Lady Vader's mother was and if she was related to Lord Vader. He knew that the child wasn't related to Vader; but he still wondered who she was and how she had ended up with Vader.

As a general rule, the Jedi Order had tried not to take in children under a standard year old since children that young needed care that could lead to attachment to a caretaker.

He had wondered idly if she was an orphan that Vader had bound to him to fill the void of Padme and the Twins. He doubted that Lady Vader was a Sith Apprentice since Vader wouldn't be openly showing her to his Sith Master. He supposed that he could ask Qui-Gon about her but had decided against it. He wasn't sure if his Master would know how Lady Vader was connected to Vader or what her purpose was. The rumor was that she was Vader's Heir; to inherit the Empire when Lord Vader died.

He wanted to know what her name really was; he knew for sure that it wasn't 'Vader'. Knowing her name could give insight to her purpose and how Vader felt about her. Unfortunately the Emperor and Lord Vader didn't seem to feel the need to release her real name to the public and none of the Moffs seemed to know what it was either so the Media had dubbed her Lady Vader and the name had stuck.

She had been part of some Imperial Propaganda shots, usually following Lord Vader or being held by him as he walked through the Senate or speaking to politicians from various worlds in the galaxy.

He had meditated on her but the Force had been silent where she was concerned.

Well that wasn't completely true; It had shown him a rather tall human or near human male with black hair placing an infant in a crate, leaving the crate, baby hidden within, with three Clones and then turning his hair blond and his skin from a bronze to a white cream color.

He didn't understand how the man figured into the situation. He was planning on continuing to meditate on the man's identity along with what had bothered Luke.
