Took me like forever on how to write this chapter! I tried to make it long! Not really satisfied on how it came out but it'll do! :D Don't want to keep you guys in too much suspense!
I don't know if I said this before but I don't proofread my chapters! Lol I just dish them out as I write them cause I'm too lazy to do it!

It had been a rough three days for them in the woods. It seemed like everything they did was of no use to them. They sat around the camp fire silently no words being exchanged between them. Raph glared at the flames, Donnie stared at his phone with a soft smile of a picture of him and Catharine, while Mikey cooked some pizza on a stick. Leo sighed this wasn't getting them anywhere and then flames burst to life and turned to a blue hue with the image of their father.
"Master Splinter!" They all gasped in shock.
"Watashi no musukotachi yo." He greeted.
"Are you, like a ghost?" Mikey whimpered slightly.
"My spirit has become detached from my body, but that body still lives." He replied
"You're alive? Where are you, Sensei? Let us help you!" Leo blurted.
"You cannot yet. There is much you must overcome. If you cannot find your inner, spiritual strength, you will not stand a chance against the Shredder." He told them.
"But Master Splinter, my leg injury, it-it's physical, until I heal-" Leo started.
"We choose what holds us back and what moves us forward. You will all learn this. Each of you must journey out alone to face your spiritual adversary" Splinter said cutting him off. He turned to Raph.
"Raphael, your temper is like a fire that you must learn to focus for power" Raph looked towards the ground and nodded he knew he had anger issues.
"Michelangelo, your mind is overrun with distractions. Learn to be strong and calm, like the forest" Master Splinter lectured as his youngest was caught getting distracted by an ember floating in the air. Mikey shook his head and nodded at his father's words determined.
"Donatello, you rely too much on your mind, and not on your body. Be strong, like the mountain" Donnie averted his eyes and sighed with a nod.
"Leonardo. You must be the leader in body and spirit. Be like the wind. Let nothing weigh you down…Sleep now, my sons. For your greatest trail awaits on the spiritual plane. For the challenges you face there will be just as deadly as those you face in the real world...Be warned" his voice echoed as the flame died away and returned to normal.
"Whoa, that was deep" Mikey yawned and stretched as they all woke up from the dream they had all shared.
"Master Splinter made our quest clear, it's time we begin, ninjas" Leo said standing up "Each of us will forge new armor and weapons, then journey on alone, where we'll be challenged in the spirit realm, the place where the unreal become real, and we meet our ultimate fate" Leo stated.
"Mikey, stay focused! Remember what Master Splinter said? The things we're gonna fight are just as dangerous as Shredder." Raph glared at him.
Mikey pouted but threw his pizza away "Hope you like pizza, you lucky magic deer!" He yelled.
"It's time. Good luck, everyone. Kentou o" Leo bowed towards his brothers.
"Kentou o" Raph, Donnie and Mikey repeated following his actions and they split for in different directions.
"It's been three days! They should be here by now!" Cat pouted as she sat on the porch with Skyler as they both watch April spar with Casey and Nia training with Kayla.
"Maybe t-they decide t-to say l-longer? G-get more t-training done?" Skyler comforted her friend. Though she was worried too. She missed Raphael and their bond wasn't making it any better. It was going to be a very uncomfortable for the both of them when he returned. And that kiss there shared…she blushed at the memory.
Cat raised an eyebrow at Skyler as her face turned pink.
"What are you thinking that's got you all flustered up now?" she grinned teasingly.
"W-what? N-nothing!" Skyler quickly shook her head at being caught.
Cat laughed "Yeah right! You little perv! You're thinking about Raph aren't you!"
"C-Cat" Skyler mumbled as she buried her face in her hands.
"Relax I won't tell, besides I miss Donatello too" she sighed resting her head on the palm of her hand as she kept watching them spar "He's a real quick learner…and those hands of his! My gods―" she trailed off with a dreamy look on her face.
"C-CAT!" Skyler shouted mortified and shoved her friend away from her, face beat red. Catharine laughed out loud and slung an arm around her shoulders.
"I'm just messing with you! You're so easy to tease Sky" she chuckled "But seriously his hands are amazing" she claimed with all seriousness, leaving poor Skyler to become a sputtering mess at her perverted friend's words. That was too much information for her. She did not need to know that.
"So much for finding a hidden pirate ship, what a waste of time." Raph said as he pulled himself out of the water and sighed he'd rather be back at the farm house with his girl than this place. He paused at the thought, his girl, yeah he liked the sound of that. He took a look around the cave noticing the dancing flames that lite the dark cavern. "Huh? Somebody's gotta be here keeping those torches lit" he squinted to get a better look. His eyes widened as foot ninjas stepped out from the shadows holding the torches up.
"Aah! Aw, sewer cakes" he cursed aloud and took stance as the all began to charge towards him. He easily fought them off. Burying his claw weapons deep into the enemy's body only to disperse into smoke.
"I would have been way more into this spirit quest if I knew I'd get to slap some Foot around" he said firing his flamethrower sending the foot lackey into the water. He stared into the water as a dark figure moved in it and it jumped out of the water landing behind him.
He spun around "Fishface? Here?"
"That temper fizzles fast under water, doesn't it?" The aquatic mutant replied in a thick accent as he then hit Raph into the water hitting him multiple times underwater before landing a final hit on him sending him on land again. He groaned as he slowly stood up.
"Breathe, Raph. Splinter is right. I need to concentrate and focus my anger" he closed his eyes "Sharpen it. Give it form" he opened them back up, charging his claws with flames and turn to face his enemy again.
"Ready for another swim? I bet your toys don't work so well under water" Fishface mocked.
"Aah!" Raph roared charging at Fishface stabbing him turning him into smoke "Ha! Eat it." He smirked.
"For all I know, this isn't even the right direction" Donnie said shell pressed against the mountain careful to not fall from the small ledge "Boy, I really miss GPS guidance right now" he sighed though that wasn't the only thing he was missing as an images of a loud certain blonde filled his head. His thoughts were cut short as he felt the mountain shake and boulders came crashing down.
"Whoa! What the?" He looked up and saw Foot ninja with large hammers and they repeatedly hit the mountain side "You're gonna bring the whole mountain down!" He shouted "Unless You don't care what happens 'cause you're an apparition from the spirit plane" he stated when they didn't stop.
"I hate being right." He whimpered and jumped out of the way and more Foot ninja appeared. He easily fought them off by throwing many of them over the mountain side though they would grip the side of the mountain and begin climbing up towards him again.
"You want to bring half the mountain down?" he yelled "Fine with me!" He grunted as he brought down his axe on the ledge, taking out the last of the Foot ninjas.
He grinned "Ha! Hey, this Seishin Syuyou is way easier than I thought, all it takes is a little quick thinking and—"
"Oh! We're just getting started. Let's see how quick your thinking is when I smash your head into the rocks" they growled menacingly. Donnie spun around and his eyes widen in surprise as
"Tiger Claw? No, you're just a spirit, too. You can't be real" Donnie shook his head in disbelieve.
"Does that feel real to you?" He snarled.
"Absolutely" Donnie groaned in pain and stood up quickly when he saw Tiger Claw charge at him. "No. I gotta stand my ground. Immovable, right?" he asked himself slightly unsure of himself.
"And they say you're the smart one? I'm twice your size and three times your strength. You will fall!" Tiger Claw roared.
Be strong, like the mountain. His father's words echoed through his mind. His eyes narrowed and he pulled down his mask while getting into a strong stance. He waited patiently as Tiger Claw came at him and in the right moment he grabbed his wrist and shifted his whole body, fling him far over them mountain side.
"Oh! Who's there? Gah! Come out!" he threw some shuriken into the trees to bring them out "Your camo is so weak, dog!" he shouted and then gulped as five pair of red eyes appeared in the wood mist "Either I'm wrong about the camo, or I'm about to fight a ten eyed monster"
"I was wrong about the camo! No, no, no, no no! Nooo! Aah! Ooh!" Mikey yelped as he dodge there attacks and leaped into the trees all while taking down Foot ninjas "Not as tough as I thought!" he grinned as he destroyed the last one. His small victory was cut short as he was slammed against a tree. He groan in pain.
"Been a long time" an all too familiar voice growled to him. Out from the trees stepped out the dog like mutant.
Mikey hid behind a tree "Oh, man. Rahzar? Good dog. Easy. Maybe I have a bone for you" he chuckled nervously.
"Oh, you have many bones I can feast on." He snarled walking closer to Mikey and then lashed out at him. Mikey ducked and continue to avoid Rahzar's attacks getting hit every now and then but he had also managed to get his own strikes in as well.
"Pause, pause! Oh! Give me a second, spirit dude!" he shouted and forced himself to calm down and think the situation through "Okay, Mikey. What did Master Splinter say? Be still and calm like the forest" his mind wandered off to Kayla and her feeding ice cream kitty small ice cubes.
He shook his head and closed his eyes "No! Need to focus. If I concentrate, I can beat him" he took a deep breath and released it slowly "Focus. Focus" he repeated and opened his eyes just as Rahzar was mere inches away from him. He sunk his weapons into Rahzar and shred him apart until he was nothing but a poof of smoke.
Leo ran through the forest trying to catch up to the deer he saw. It was trying to tell him something he just knew it.
"Wait! Wait!" He shouted running across the bridge stopping half way on the bridge as he stared at the deer mutant. At least he thought it was a mutant.
"A Foot soldier? Was it real? Okay, not cool" he stated as more foot ninjas made their way to him "Definitely not cool"
"Keep 'em coming! I can do this all day!" He challenged "That's it? I still got more arrows, guys" he taunted.
The deer showed up again "What is it? What is your lesson?" he asked it receiving no answer as it disappeared again and the Shredder took it's place.
"Lesson? You've already failed" Shredder said darkly.
"Shredder" Leo eyes widen.
"You are too weak to stand without your master" Shredder said hitting him "You can hardly stand at all" he slashed at him sending him to the ground.
"Aah!" Leo hissed and sat up holding his leg in pain.
"Your wounded leg is like a ball and chain, dragging you toward defeat" he laughed.
"Shredder is right. My injury is always gonna hold me back. I can't win" the deer appeared again and walked towards him staring down at him waiting for him to make a decision "Unless the pain is just in my mind. It's just an excuse, it's not real" Leo quickly realized. The deer nodded and touched its muzzle to his knee bursting into blue energy and fading away into his body. Leo stood up once more and faced Shredder as he grew in size. The sky darken and the sound of Shredder's laugh and thunder
"It is time we end this, turtle." He laughed menacingly
"I agree" Leo narrowed his eyes at him and aimed his bow and arrow at him waiting for the right moment before he released his grip and sent the arrow flying. It hit Shredder right in his eye and sent him roaring in pain as he disappeared in dark smoke.
"I beat you on the spirit plane, and one day, I'll beat you in the real world" Leo shouted "I'm ready"
"If you knock me into the mud one more time, Red" Casey threatened as he stood up off the ground and held the log in front of him once more for her.
"Oh? What are you gonna do about it?" April chuckled and hit the log again this time it broke "Finally! Yes! Whoo!" She cheered at her accomplishment "What? Nothing to say? Didn't think I could do it, did you? Casey? What―" She gloated but stop when she noticed he wasn't paying attention to her and turned around to see what he was staring at "...Whoa" she said surprised at seeing the fellas with new weapons, armor and each of them carrying a banner that has Japanese writing on it "What happened out there?" April asked.
Nia and Kayla paused in their elemental training to see what she was talking about their eyes widening in surprise at their new appearance. Not only that but also the way they held themselves. They all stood tall, proud and ready like nothing could take them down.
"Wow" Kayla awed quietly and Nia nodded in agreement.
"It's time. We're going back to New York―" Leo started before he was cut off as Cat as she burst out of the house with Skyler following close behind her as she headed towards Raphael.
"Donatello!" Catharine shouted happily as she ran out straight into his awaiting arms "I missed you" she pushed his masked up and kissed him.
"I missed you too" he nuzzled her cheek with his.
April coughed loudly and narrowed her eyes at Cat. Cat rolled her eyes and ignored her, continuing to enjoy Donatello's affection. Finally she pulled back slightly much to the tech savvy's disappointment.
"What took you guys so long? I thought you guys said it was only gonna be three days? Not a week!" she glared at him.
Donatello chuckled nervously "We had a bit of trouble finding peace within ourselves" he admitted sheepily.
The red clad terrapin growled softly as he wrapped his arms around Skyler and pulled her close to him, burying his face in her neck and inhaling her scent deeply. His hand softly trailed down her side lifting her shirt slightly and carefully with his thumb making sure the others hadn't taking notice. His thumb carefully traced the mark he had left on her. He watched as she bit her lip and buried her face in the crook of his neck, letting a soft pant escape her. He shivered as he felt her breath against his skin. He could feel his body beginning to heat up and he could feel and see hers become warm as well.
She was losing herself in his scent and the feel of his body. It was strong and made her feel safe yet the soft and gentle caresses he was sneaking in spread a warmth through her. She wanted to whimper, it was becoming too hot that it was starting to hurt.
"Hey! Knock it off!" Nia shouted towards them though the comment was really meant for Raph than Skyler.
"I'm not doing anything! I'm just hugging her! Ain't nothing wrong with that!" he snarled at Nia and held Sky tighter to him. "Right Sky" he muttered and smirked against her skin and away from her friends. Her heart fluttered and she swallowed thickly finding his action very...attractive.
"Sky" Nia warned. Skyler reluctantly pulled away face flush but still kept to his side. Raph gave a glowering look towards Nia and threw an arm around Skyler's shoulders.
"Anyway…" Kayla said cutting into the tension that was building "When do we leave?" she asked as she walked over to Mikey grabbing hold of his hand kissing his cheek softly.
"As soon as we finish packing, the sooner the better" Leo stated.
"Really?" Kayla said excitedly.
"Yes" Leo nodded.
"Why are you so excited?" Casey raised an eyebrow at her.
"I'll finally get to see my dad again" She admitted softly.
