Since they had gotten back to New York and they had split up nothing has been the same for them. Not only are there two new mutants, Rocksteady and Bebop, as Mikey had named them, but Karai had once been found yet escape them once more. Her mind slowly losing more of her humanity because of the mutation.

It had been two weeks since they had last seen their mates. Raph had been quick to anger more than usually and the only thing that seem to calm him down was sleep and the phone calls from Skyler.

Leo had also become quick to anger, however he had no outlet. Nia still refuse to talk to him and sleep didn't help either. Master Splinter had taken notice and began to make him meditate every time his temper flared.

Donnie and Mikey seem to be better off than their brothers but they had lost a couple hours of sleep but nothing too bad. Mikey's boredom seem to just grow more without Kayla and he had gotten into Donnie's mutagen supply and accidentally created a mega retro-mutagen that can make other mutagen canisters into retro-mutagen with a single drop. The purple clad brother had been annoyed at first but amazed at the discovery before becoming annoyed again when his youngest brother had no idea what he added to make the mutagen react they way it did.

"Are you kidding me? You do one awesome thing, and you can't even remember how you did it?!" Donnie shouted at Mikey.

"Donatello, be glad that Michelangelo's tomfoolery yielded the gift that it did. Focus on the goal at hand. You must find all of the transformed people of New York and change them back" Splinter lectured.

"But, Sensei, we don't even know what happened to them" Leo stated.

"I think I know. They were taken to Dimension X by the Kraang. I can see them in my dreams, millions of mutated humans trapped there" April said.

"So we drop in to TCRI, break into their portal and zap ourselves to Dimension X.

Yo, we can do this! We can save New York! And I've got the perfect new invention to storm Dimension X!" Donnie exclaimed before his phone went off. He smiled happily as a picture of Catharine appeared.

"Catharine!"

"You sound excited"

"We're taking New York back, promise you'll stay safe in Divinity…Skylar too" he added as Raph punched his arm to remind him.

"Today?" She said slightly shocked.

"Yes—"

"Hold on a second" she cut him off. He could hear her moving around on the other line making him raise one brow in confusion on what was going on.

"Hello" Donnie's eyes widen at the deep commanding voice. This must be Kayla's father.

"Hi" He swallowed nervously. The sudden change in attitude caused his family and friends to stare at him curiously. 'It's Kayla's Dad' he mouthed to them, watching as their eyes also widen in surprise.

"Donatello I presume"

"Uh…yes" he nodded numbly.

"I'd like to set up a meeting before you and your brothers go to fight to take New York back from these aliens"

"Ok? But may I ask why?"

"There is strength in numbers" he stated as if the most obvious thing in the world "We'll be there shortly" he stated before the line went dead leaving no room for him to protest.

Donnie pulled the phone away and stared at it blankly.

"What did he say?" Mikey asked.

"He said they'll be here shortly"

"They?" Splinter asked with a raised eyebrow.

Donnie nodded. His heart clenching fearfully. It still wasn't safe outside yet. He doubted Kayla's father knew where they were hiding and if that was the case he would probably bring Catharine along to track them using her ability. He would be able to protect her right? Hadn't she said that he was an Elder? He wasn't sure what that meant but by the sound of it he could only assume it was a high rank in their culture.

They waited silently as he handed back the phone to Catharine.

"You said 'we'll' that mean we can go to right?" Kayla said excitedly. It had been to long since she last saw Mikey.

"No, only Catharine" he clarified "The rest of you will stay here"

"But Dad! That's not fair!" She shouted.

"Kayla it's dangerous out there!"

"We can protected ourselves! We did it just fine for the past few months! We can help!"

"I know you can but this is going to turn into a war—" he began to explain.

"Not if we stop it in time" Nia added determined.

He frowned "Nia, I know you and Kayla can handle yourselves but—"

"Cat and I-I will stay o-out of b-battle" Skyler spoke up. Her and Catharine had no fighting abilities like Kayla and Nia but she could heal and Cat could help her once the fight was over. She really wanted to see Raphael again.

"Yeah! You have nothing to worry about Joshua!" Cat grinned.

He looked at all four of his girls there was no point in arguing with them. He knew if he didn't agree to let them go they would somehow find there way there on their own.

"I don't want to lose any of you" he sighed "Just please be very careful and stick together"

They all ran up to him and hugged him tightly while thanking him.

"Alright let's not waste anymore time, let get moving" he smiled down softly at them.

They quickly made their way through the subway tunnels following close behind Catharine as she lead them the right way. Stopping every now and then when she spotted a drone or the Kraang.

"How much farther Catharine?" Joshua asked being extra alert.

"Almost there, it's the next tunnel" she pointed and ran faster turning left.

"Cat! This is a dead end!" Kayla whispered.

Cat shook her head and pointed up. Joshua's eyes narrowed and stared at the ceiling floating up to get a better look. Carefully he placed his hands on the stone, pushing it until it finally opened.

He smirked "Clever boys" he praised at the well hidden entrance.

"You mean boy, that's clearly Donatello's handy work" Cat grinned with pride. Speaking of Donatello she looked up to see his face peering down the entrance with his brothers. Kayla and Nia easily floated up and into the hideout while she and Skyler where grabbed by Kayla's father and he lifted them up. Once everyone was inside the guys placed the lid back in place.

"Kayla!" Mikey shouted happily as he wrapped his arms around her and spun her around.

"I missed you too" Kayla laughed softly wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Raphael" Skyler whispered and rushed towards his form wrapping her arms around his mid waist and buried her face in the crook of his neck. He churred deeply and held her close nuzzling her and taking in her scent.

"Nia" Leo said softly clenching his fist as she crossed her arms over her chest and turn her back towards him. Making it clear that she was still upset with him.

Donnie stared at Catharine as she had yet to move, usually she would already be in his arms by now. As if sensing what he was thinking she looked up to stared at him.

"What?" She tilted her head "You think every time I see you I'm just going to glomp you" she smirked "I do have some self control you know" she told him.

He raised a brow at her and smiled softly, gripping her wrist in his hand and tugging her to him almost shyly "I don't want you to have self control" he told her and kissed her right then and there.

There was a loud cough and they all flinched turning there heads towards the source of the sound. Kayla's father stood next to Master Splinter with his arms crossed over his chest and eyes narrowed while Splinter look on at his sons with slight amusement. Casey stood behind the two adults and gave the guys a thumbs up while April glared and smacked him upside the head.

They chuckled nervously and slowly separated themselves.

"So…uh...what's the game plan?" Cat said changing the topic quickly.

"We'll be talking about this later girls" Joshua muttered darkly making the girls a pale in dread.

"Indeed" Master Splinter agreed making the guys swallow nervously.
