I did not forget this story!

Sorry for the late update! I know I've been lagging! But I kind of wanted to match this up with my other TMNT story Captivating Silence to this one before I updated because they are in the same universe and timeline!

Anywho thank you for waiting patiently!

I don't proofread my chapters! Lol I just dish them out as I write them cause I'm too lazy to do it!

Upon entering an abandoned warehouse the four brothers gasped in surprised while Kayla and Nia looked on curiously.

"Greetings, Ninja Turtles"

"Kurtzman?" Leo asked shocked at seeing him.

"Good to see you boys. Been a long time." The older man stated.

"We thought you got mutated like the rest of New York!" Raph blurted out.

"I made it through. I tried to find you four, but you were gone. Fortunately, I tracked down these noble warriors to help keep up the fight against the Kraang" Kurtzman motioned to Slash and his teammates.

"I wouldn't exactly call them all "noble." Leo's eyes narrowed at Slash. Slash growled loudly and was going to comment when Kurtzman continued on.

"No one in the outside world knows what's really going on. The military, the media, they're no help. They're all controlled by the Kraang. But now that the Turtles are back, we can stop the invasion, together!"

"What?! - No way! - I'm not teamin' up with him!" Both Leo and Slash stated at the same time.

"That's enough! We can't afford to waste any more time. The Kraang have spent the last few months building a Mutagen Missile, which they're gonna fire at the earth itself" he informed them showing slides to prove his point. They gasped at a picture of a lizard woman sitting seductively on a couch.

"Oh la la someone has a girlfriend!" Kayla snickered at the photo.

"Just ignore that" he coughed awkwardly with a blush.

"There's enough Mutagen in that payload—" Donnie began.

"To mutate the earth into another Dimension X." Rockwell rudely interrupted him.

"It's rude to finish other people's sentences, Rockwell." Donnie glared at the mutated doctor.

"Well then, clearly you'll have to speak faster, Donatello!" He replied back.

"If you think I'm gonna work with - this scrawny shelled wimp - I've had way more experience - leading a team than you! –

"We should sit and break bread!" Pete tilted his head.

"You are the biggest waste of Mutagen ever!" Raph snarled at Pete.

"Tiny brained reptile!" Rockwell snapped at Donnie.

"Can't we just give pizza a chance? There's enough pizza for everyone!" Mikey sighed.

"Guys stop arguing!" Nia shouted but it'd went unheard.

"Yeah! We have bigger things to worry about!" Kayla shouted along side her friend but no one seem to be paying attention. She looked towards Kurtzman and saw him backing away slowly while looking up at the dusted windows. There were shadows moving around the outside and she tapped Nia to give her the heads up.

"Oh, no! They found me! I don't know how, but they found me!" He began to panic and the door to the war house bang open revealing Kraang droids.

"It is the ones called the Turtles! And the others calling themselves the Mighty Mutanimals! Get 'em!" A Kraang droid pointed. The all roared and began to battle the Kraang. Nia and Kayla paired up and we're doing fine taking them down together. However they quickly noticed the fellas were struggling and unable to work together with the exception of Mikey and Leatherhead. The more they fought the more they seem to get into arguments with each other.

"Guys stop fighting with each other and focus" Nia shouted blasting a fireball towards a Kraang droid as it snuck up on Pete.

"Yeah! Someone can get hurt if we're not paying attention" Kayla agreed sending a wind blade and slicing a drone in half.

"The Kraang intel!" Kurtzman ran to get his flash drive "Aah!" he shouted as he was hit by a blast.

"You just had to jinx use didn't you" Nia sneered to her.

"I don't mean to!" Kayla said regretting her words from a few seconds ago.

"No! - No! Mr. Kurtzman!" Leo yelled.

"No!" Slash roared.

More Kraang droids began to flood the warehouse and they quickly began to find themselves out numbered.

"Mutanimals, we're leaving!" Slash yelled towards his team as Leatherhead picked up Kurtzman.

"Ninjas, fall back!" Leo shouted following after Slash with his brothers, Nia and Kayla.

They quickly escaped. Slash and the rest of his team followed Leo back to their hideout. However midway Slash took off in a different direction.

"Where are you going! It's this way!" Leo growled getting fed up with him.

"He's found someone that needs help" Rockwell stated and followed after his leader. Soon everyone followed him. It wasn't too long before they saw a young woman in the street below them fighting off droids with an iron rod. Her movements where sloppy and they could tell she had no training at all, but she seem to be winning if only because her need to survive. Slash jumped down and took care of the remaining droids in an instant. He turned to faced her and she collapsed to her knees and began to cry at the site of him. Slash bend down and picked her up must to her struggling.

"Slash let her go!" Leo shouted as he watch the woman did everything in her power to get away from him.

"Stay out of this Leonardo!" Slash snarled at him and tightened his hold on her until she stopped her struggling and continued to cry.

"And let you kidnap her!"

"Leo just drop it he must have a reason! Now let keep moving before they find us again!" Nia said tugging him back.

They glared at each other for a moment longer before Leo turned to lead them back. When they arrived at Antonio's Pizzeria, Slash finally set the woman down. She pushed her self away from him and glared at him walking away and isolating herself in the corner away from everyone. Slash sighed and turned to Leatherhead as he set Kurtzman on the couch.

"All the intel I have on this Kraang missile…is on this drive. You and the Turtles have to work together." Kurtzman groaned in pain"

"I don't think that's a good idea." Leo said quietly.

"We agree on that much" Slash grumbled.

"Whatever problem is between you, you both have a common purpose. We're running out of time" he said as he succumbed to sleep.

"Jack! Is he?" Slash panicked.

"No. He is fine" Splinter said putting his worries at ease.

"Maybe we should have Sky take a look at it" Kayla spoke up.

"No, it too risky to bring her back here" Raph growled.

"Then I'm going to need to cauterize the wound. I need alcohol, bandages, meds." April said looking over Jack's wounds.

"I'm on it, Red. There's a pharmacy down the street I'll hit for supplies." Casey said placing his mask on.

"The three of us will take care of him." April stated receiving a nod from Slash before he went and kneeled down in front of the woman in the corner.

"You must unite and stop that missile before it is too late." Splinter told them while cautiously glancing over at the unknown woman. They all looked at each other annoyed but said nothing until April asked the question that no one seem to want to ask.

"Who is that?" April whispered.

"Some woman Slash saved from the Kraang a few minutes ago" Mikey shrugged.

There was a resounding slap heard through the small space and they all turn to see the woman now standing and it look like she was yelling at Slash but no words seem to be coming out of her mouth. They looked on bewilder as the scene unfolded.

"I'm sorry" Slash muttered grabbing her hand and she yanked it away and continued to carry on a silent conversation that only Slash seemed able to understand.

"Uh Donnie what's going on?" Mikey asked.

"She's…she's mute" he finally understood.

"Then how is he understanding her?" Raph raised a brow.

"He can read her lips" he concluded. They flinched as Slash roared.

"I was trying to protect you!" Slash growled at her.

"Get away from her, Slash" Leo said nearing them. He didn't expect for the woman to turn and start wording at him. Her finger jabbing his plastron he couldn't read her lips but her message was clear. She wanted him to stay out of it. He glowered as his saw Slash smirk from behind her and then she rounded on him again. Slash rolled his eyes and grabbed her in his arms even as she struggled and took her to the other room for privacy.

"I'll be back in the mean time you guys try to figure something out" he grunted at them.

After almost half an hour Slash finally came out of the room with a satisfied look on his face. All the mutants froze at his change in scent, the only ones that didn't seem to notice were Kayla and Nia. Leo couldn't seem to believe that Slash had a mate.

"So did you think of anything?" Slash asked as like everything was normal.

"W-We can disable the guidance system, or better yet—" Donnie stuttered out as he shook his head at the new discovery.

"Hack in and send the missile somewhere it can't do any harm!" The mutated doctor finished.

"You stupid psychic chimp" Donnie glared at him. Nia and Kayla giggled at them.

"Okay, we ninja in from above, and then we drop down and disarm the missile" Leo instructed.

"Forget it! I say ground attack, They won't even know what hit 'em" Slash countered.

"A ground attack is way too risky!" Leo snapped back.

"I think the only way this mission is gonna work is if we do both" Raph commented.

"Forget it, Raphael." Leo said.

"Leave this to the Mighty Mutanimals! Come on, guys! We're outta here!" Slash snarled.

" Leatherhead? Wait, hold up!" Mikey shouted watching his friend leave.

"Just let 'em go, Mikey. It's not worth it." Leo placed a hand on his brothers shoulder "Now we need a way to drop down on that missile." He continued.

"Donnie?" Kayla questioned.

"I've got something that just might work." He finally nodded.
