I'M SO SORRY! I did not forget this story! I just got caught up with life. Please don't hurt me!

I suck at writing fighting scenes so that is also another reason why it took me so long to do this chapter. Hopefully I can start dishing out chapters again without getting stumped.

They followed Donnie back up into the rooftop where the water tower stood.

"Not this again!" Raph and Leo groaned slightly annoyed.

"Really guys just give him a change to explain" Kayla rolled her eyes at them.

"Are we gonna flood the place?" Mikey asked and Nia shook her head at him.

"Not exactly" Donnie smirked at them as he climbed the tower and twisted a nob on a tank that was strapped to the railings.

"Whoa" they all gasped as it started to inflate and hover above the rooftop.

"I give you the Turtle Blimp!" He announced.

"Cool!" Mikey shouted climbing aboard. Raph, Leo, Nia and Kayla followed after him.

Donnie began to fly the blimp towards the missile.

"Guys, check it out!" Mikey pointed towards the ground. They leaned over the rail to see what he was talking about. Sure enough they saw the Mutanimals rushing in from the ground and attacking the Kraang.

"The Mutanimals' ground attack is the perfect distraction"

"Told you" Nia said crossing her arms.

"While the Kraang are focusing on them, we'll stop the missile!"

"See, Leo. Maybe we're meant to work together"

They watched as they kept attacking and even though they were fairing in the fight they seem to be getting off guard as more Kraang showed up.

"They need help, come on Nia" Kayla jumped over the railing with Nia in tow.

"Wait!" Leo growled at them a second to late his head snapped towards Mikey since he was the closest one to them "Why didn't you stop them!"

"They got this bro, trust me" he grinned placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. Leo shrugged him off and debated on whether going after them or not.

"Let them go, Leo, we need to focus on the missile!" Donnie shouted at him. Leo wanted to disagree but his brother was right. If they didn't stop this they would have no mates or even a world to come back to. He forced himself to focus on the real mission.

"Oh, no ya don't! Aah!" Slash roared and knocked away more Kraang with his mace. He nodded towards the two of them in a silent thanks for coming down and helping them out and that he also had their back. They smiled at him and they went back to fighting.

"Now, according to Kurtzman's data, the missile guidance system uses a form of binary code" Donnie said as he hacked into the missile's system.

"Um, guys? What's worse than regular Kraang?" Mikey said nervously.

"Flying Kraang?! Everyone cover Donnie!" Leo shouted as Kraang subprime activated the missile sending it to launch into space. They held on tight fighting off any Kraang droids that tried to interfere with Donnie resetting the coordinates.

"Donnie! Make it quick! We're about to leave the atmosphere!" Raph panicked as the flew closer to space.

"Stop pressuring me! Setting a course for the heart of the sun!" Donnie shouted as he continued to type in coordinates.

"Now what do we do?!"

"Jump! Activate Turtle gliders!" Leo yelled at his brothers as they screamed their way down. They landed on the turtle blimp and bounced off it gripping the railings as the sighed in relief.

"Wow. Too close. I saw my entire life flash before my eyes." Mikey exclaimed.

"What did you see?" Donnie questioned him.

"Pizza. Mostly pizza. It was awesome!" He grinned and his brothers shook their heads at him.

The Mutanimals, Kayla and Nia watched as the remaining Kraang fled the scene.

"They did it!" Kayla shouted happily as the guys jumped down towards them.

"Leatherhead!" Mikey quickly hugged the mutant alligator.

"My friend." Leatherhead chuckled hugging him back.

"I was so scared I'd never see you again." Mikey said pulling away and smiled at him and then wrapped Kayla in a hug too.

"Nice job back there, Pete. Aw, too slow!" Raph commented while giving him a high five but pulled away quickly making Pete miss.

"You know" Donnie cleared his throat "I think there's room enough for two mutant geniuses in this city, Rockwell." He finished off.

"I concur. Of course, warm-blooded mammals are still considered far more intelligent than inferior, cold-blooded, tiny-brained reptiles. Burn." Rockwell teased.

"I gotta admit, Slash, I'm stepped up and saved your teammates when they needed you the most." Leo offered him a hand.

"Told ya I changed, Leonardo.I'm a different kinda turtle now" Slash smirked and shook his hand.

"About time you guys started getting along, so what's next?" Nia asked.

"Time to storm TCRI! We go to Dimension X and save the citizens of New York" Leo stated.

"So do we even have a real plan here or are we just winging it for laughs?"

"It's all on the Mighty Mutanimals. First they break into TCRI, then Doc Rockwell activates the portal. And then it's back to Dimension X!" Donnie explained

"Yeah, boy! I get to be smart again." Mikey grinned.

"What do mean smart again?" Nia raises an eyebrow teasingly.

"Mikey's a genius whenever we go into dimension X, even smarter than me" Donnie explained to the girls.

"Awesome" Kayla wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I know right" Mikey pulled her close.

"Well what are we waiting for let take back New York" Raph shouted.

"We'll stay with the Slash's team just in case they need more back up" Nia commented.

"Good idea, we're going to need all the help we can get to keep that portal open" Leo nodded towards Nia. Her eyes widen in shock as he finally agreed with her and didn't put up a fight that she need to stay somewhere safe. He gave her a nod and soon they were off again.

"Let's go we don't have much time" Slash said leading them into TCRI. They battle their way through the main room and quickly activated the portal. Giving the turtles enough time to go through it before it closed up again.

"They're gone" Kayla said in shock this was the first time she had seen something like this before.

"But where?" Nia asked.

"Into dimension X, now help us cover Rockwell while he waits for the signal" Slash explained quickly. They nodded and fought off any Kraang droids that came near him, but it was proving to be useless as more and more came into the room. They were out numbered and easily captured.

"Let us out! I swear, once I break these walls down, I'll—" Slash growled.

"It is useless, my friend." Leatherhead sighed he had been locked away in this containers before and he knew there was no way out unless someone opened it from the outside.

"It's my fault we got captured. Maybe Leonardo was right. Maybe I'm not fit to lead this team." Slash sighed.

"I have seen you save humans from the Kraang, rescue your fellow mutants and your mate. You are a good soul, Slash." Leatherhead comforted.

"Thank you, brother" Slash smiled weakly.

"You guys look like you need a little help"

"Dad!" Both Kayla and Nia shouted happily at the site of him. He smirked at them and set them free, handing Rockwell his psychic amplifier.

"I believe this is yours"

"Thank you my good sir" Rockwell smiled.

"We have to reactivate that portal!" Nia immediately went into action.

"I'm on it!" Rockwell quickly made his way to the controls to open up the portal again, while the rest of them covered him. With Kayla's father being in the mix they had and easier time defending Rockwell and the portal was open again and four familiar turtles came crashing through.

Leo's eyes roamed the room quickly and spotted his intended fighting off Kraang. He stood in shock as he watch her more graceful almost like an intricate dance that she had been practicing for years. That's when it hit him. She didn't need his protection but he would stand by her and only help if she asked him too.

"Where'd they go?" Kayla asked out loud as the droids began to disappear.

"Back to dimension X" Donnie replied.

"So we won then?" Nia asked unsure.

"You know it!" Mikey shouted with a grin.

"You gotta admit, couldn't have done this without Slash and his team" Raph stated.

"You did great, Slash. I'm sorry I doubted you. Everyone deserves a second chance" Leo apologized.

"I had some help" he paused before continuing "And I just tried to model myself after the best leader I ever knew. You." Slash smirked.

"This calls for a party and pizza!" Kayla cheered.

"I love the way you think Babe!" Mikey shouted pulling her close and giving her a kiss. Slash raised a brow at them in surprise.
