OMG! I hate myself! I was ready to post the next chapter for this and I accidently deleted it! So I had to rewrite EVERYTHING!

Where was she? Why was everything dark? Why couldn't she move? Where were her friends? Her family? Mikey? She tried to move but nothing happened even blinking was impossible. Her body was frozen, floating in a void of emptiness. She didn't want to be here. She wanted to go home. To her family. To Mikey. Why was it getting so hard to breathe? The darkness seem to engulf her, consuming her whole. Black ink soaked through her clothes like water and pulled her in, where, she didn't know. Then the screams started and it scared her even more. What was going on? Who was screaming? Someone help her.

Kayla

"Kayla wake up it just a dream!"

Her eyes snapped open and stared up at her father as he shook her awake.

"What's wrong" Kayla sat up her voice coming out hoarse.

"That's what I'd like to know, you were screaming" Joshua stated concerned.

"I was?" She glanced at the doorway and saw her friends who were more like sisters to her now staring at her worried.

"Kayla are you alright? What did you dream?" Her father asked growing worried. Kayla never had nightmares at least not at this level where she woke up screaming and crying. He had seen Nia have a few of them given her past but never Kayla.

"I don't remember" Had she really been screaming? Her sore throat just confirmed that she had been "I'm fine" was she really?

"You can tell me anything you know that right" Joshua wiped away her tears.

"I'm fine Dad it was just a dream" she assured him.

He stared at her calculating before finally sighing and kissed the top of her head in defeat "If you say so" he stood up and left the room saying a quick goodnight to all of them.

Cat, Nia and Skyler took this chance to go and comfort her.

"You ok?" Skyler said worried.

"I'm fine really guys it was just a dream" she sighed.

"What kind of dream?" Nia asked carefully trying not to trigger any awful memories.

"I…I don't know" she admitted. Why couldn't she remember it?

"Somethings wrong" Cat finally whispered as she noticed Kayla's link to Mikey was now gone. She turned to Nia and Skyler and noticed there's were gone too. Even hers.

"What do you mean?" Kayla tilted her head confused.

"Are links! There gone" Cat began to panic.

"How? Wouldn't we feel it though?" Nia shook her head.

"M-maybe we should c-call?" Skyler grew worried. Cat quickly ran to her room to grab her phone and dialed Donnie's number. Hearing it ring several times before it went to voice mail.

"He's not answering"

"Ok we need to calm down, it's still early! Master Splinter is probably still training them" Kayla stood up from her bed.

"Kayla's right you know they don't answer their phones if they're training" Nia agreed.

"Maybe we should c-check in the m-morning?" Skyler bit her lip.

"Good idea Sky"

When they had arrived at the guys lair they saw them walking out of the dojo. Kayla was the first to make a beeline towards Mikey. He looked confused but embraced her anyway and offered her comforting words.

"Donatello!" Catharine also ran towards Donnie. He looked confused but none the less welcomed her into his arms.

"Why are you guys here so early?" Raph asked throwing an arm around Skyler's shoulders and tugged her close to him.

"You didn't answer your phone, we got worried" Cat said burying her face in Donnie's neck.

"Master Splinter doesn't like us having our phone in the dojo, remember?" Leo replied, churring slightly when Nia kissed his cheek in greeting.

Cat look at her link and saw it reconnected with him. She looked around and sighed as the others had too. Donnie tilted her chin up with one finger and stared slightly concerned.

"What's this really about" he asked. He could see her eyes were filled with worry.

"Nothing" she shook her head "Everything's ok now, don't worry about it" he had a feeling there was more to it than she was letting him to believe but he didn't question her. If it was serious she would have let him know.

He had zoned out when his brothers and their intended had began talking and instead focused on his. She was shaking as she held him and it made him worry.

"Kay? Are you ok?" He cupped her face with his hand gently turned her head back to him. Her eyes were red and she looked close to tears.

"I had a bad dream" she finally whispered.

"What was it about?" He asked carefully.

"I don't know" she shook her head "All I remember was gone…I was gone" she whimpered.

"It was just a dream" He rubbed her back soothingly. He frowned, this dream had really frightened her.

"You won't leave me, right?" She muttered

"I promise to always be with you" he held her tighter nuzzling the top of her head in comfort.

"I promise too" she leaned up and placed a kiss on his chin. There was a sinking feeling in her stomach. Something was going to happen and it made her nervous.
