"Donnie?" Leo immediately questioned when Mikey was no where in site.
"I don't get it, his T-phone signal says he's past this wall but there's nothing behind it" Donnie said confused touching the subway wall. He and his brothers knew the sewers and subway tunnel like the back of their hands. He knew for a fact that there was nothing behind it (at least he didn't think there was). He tapped on the surface. It was solid. So that ruled out any secret passage that might have been there.
"Maybe we should call Cat?" April suggested.
"Good idea" Donnie nodded. Cat could track his brother down using her aura reading. He quickly dialed her number and waited.
"Don?" Her voice was shaking. It was clear she had been crying was still crying and he knew why.
"How is she?" He the words barely making out of his mouth. A sob escaped her and his heart clenched at hearing her like this.
"There was so much blood, they have two menders healing her right now, its bad so bad" she choked out.
He paled at her answer.
"Donnie you alright?" Leo placed a hand on his shoulder to steady him as he saw him sway a bit.
"I'm sorry" he whispered he told her.
"It's not your fault, no one planned for Shredder to turn at the last second"
"We should have never trusted him" he growled surprising his brothers and friends.
"How's Mikey holding up?" She whispered almost afraid of what he would say.
"That's why I'm calling we...we can't find him" he sighed "We tried to track him using the T-phone but we just hit a dead end. I was hoping you could help us"
"I'll let Joshua know, where are you?"
"In the subway tunnels"
"You're close by then, it'll only take me a few minutes to track you" she hiccuped "I'll be there soon"
"Well?" Raphael asked as Donnie ended the call.
"She's on her way, she said she's close by" he paused a moment "Guys..." he swallowed hard "Kayla's in bad condition, really bad"
"We know Donnie, we all saw Shredder..." Leo clenched his fists not able to finish the sentence. They all saw their friend take the hit that was meant for their father. They were forever thankful for her for that but now they worried for their brother. They could not imagine what Mikey was going through right now, where ever he was.
It hadn't even been a full minute before his T-phone began ringing again. Cat's face showing on the screen and he immediately answered.
"Catherine what happened?" He asked worried.
"I know why you can't find Mikey...I don't if I'm seeing double but he's here" Cat stated.
"Here? Where exactly is here?"
"He's in Divinity, the Elite guards have him, they're taking him to the cells"
"W-what?!" Donnie's eyes widen "Can you talk to them and have them let him go?"
"I can ask Joshua if he can do it but I don't have that kind of authority"
"We need him back, having two Mikey could cause something to this time line"
"I'll let him know then" she hung up quickly.
"What's going on Donnie?" Leo asked more alert.
"Catharine found Mikey, both of them—"
"That's good then" Casey cut him off and Donnie shook his head.
"No it's not—"
"Where is he?" Ralph questioned.
"I'd be happy to tell you if you just let me finish my sentence!" Donnie snapped at them once he was sure that they weren't going to interrupt him again he began talking "He's in Divinity, Catharine said the Elite Guards got him and are taking him to the cells. She's going to have Joshua talk to them to let him go"
"Wait how did he get in? I thought only Aeonian could get in"
"I don't know—"
"Put your weapons on the ground and hands where we can see them!" They froze at the commanding voice turning to see that there where five people surrounding them now.
"Easy fellas we don't want to fight" Leo tried to defuse the situation.
"Where are your marks?" The leader of the group narrowed their eyes on them. His eyes doing a quick scan of their bodies to find an marks "Who are you?" He question when he found none.
"My name is Leo these are my brothers and friends we're just trying to find our brother he wears an orange mask"
"The intruder from earlier?" His eyes narrowed.
"He's our brother he must have caught Kayla's scent and tried to follow her back"
"What do you know of Elder Sylph's daughter" he grabbed Leo by the neck and pinned him to the wall.
"Hey back off—" Raph was cut off as the leader pointed a spear to his neck. The other guards following his silent commands and surrounded the rest of the group.
"We're her friends and the one you captured earlier is her Soul-Urge" Leo wheezed out.
"Enough! Release them!" Joshua deep voice came from the subway wall before his form pass through like nothing.
"Elder Sylph" the elite guards kneeled placing a palm open upwards an inch below their hearts with their heads bowed.
"Joshua!" Leo breathed in relief rubbing his sore neck.
"Catharine and Nia filled me in on the details but I need to hear the full story from you on what exactly happened" his eyes narrowed.
"I understand" Leo bowed his head.
"Bring them" Joshua called out and two more guards came out the wall each one carrying an unconscious Mikey.
"What did you do!" Raph growled.
"Nothing just a simple sleep spell by one of the casters...he was becoming unreasonable and began to injury himself unintentionally" Joshua shook his head showing them Mikey's fist that wear wrapped in bandages.
"Thank you" Leo said grabbing one Mikey while Raph grabbed the other.
"We'll talk more when Kayla is in a more stable condition" he sighed sadly and walked back into what they assumed was an entrance to Divinity, the Elite Guards following close behind.
"Oh good you found him just set him on the ground" Renet exclaimed happily.
Leo and Raph set them side by side and Renet used her staff to merge them.
"Kayla!" Mikey bolted awake. Leo and Raph tackled him down.
"Mikey stop!"
"They have her they're healing her" Raph tried to reason.
"No!" He cried weakly his struggling lessened and he crumbled to the floor head buried in his hands as he sobbed "Why'd it have to be her?" He roared.
"It'll be ok Mikey, she'll be alright" Donnie said softly.
"Easy for you to say! Nothing happened to your mates!" He hissed pointing at them.
"Mikey calm down" Leo placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Don't touch me!" he growled smacking his hand away "I saw it happen to her twice Leo! Twice! Don't tell me to be calm! The first time she turned out to be ok because of Fugitoid but what about now?! We can't go back in time this time! What if she doesn't make it" he shout his frustration then took off running.
"Mikey stop!" Raph shouted.
"Guys maybe we should just leave him for a bit" April said softly.
"Yeah let him sort himself out" Casey agreed.
"Well this is awkward" Renet coughed "I guess I'll just go" she made a portal and left.
Leo and his brothers frowned but let him go. Their brother need sometime alone to figure things out.
